Pricing

Costco Optical has become known for its pricing. Though complete pricing is not specifically listed online, the median cost of frames, lenses, and protective coatings is about $180. This is not by any means the lowest price on the market, but it is lower than a number of other eyeglass providers.

Prescription Eyeglasses

The Costco Optical department wants each customer to successfully find the perfect pair of glasses. The following recent features have been made available to better cater to the needs of Costco Optical customers:
Wider front — Frames are made with extra space between each of your temples.
Curved temples — To provide extra headroom to the wearer, a slight temple curve is provided to make sure that the glasses fit perfectly.
Narrow bridge — For those who need a little bit extra bridge support the narrow

Eye Exams

One of the challenges of purchasing eyeglasses online or from a retailer is the need to sit down with an ophthalmologist or optometrist and have an eye exam. Costco Optical has hired a number of optometrists to help with vision and eye health exams. This is a service that a number of online retailers are unable to provide. Exams take place at or near your local Costco warehouse. As part of this appointment, the optometrist will check your eyes for astigmatism as well as help identify your prescription. If you would like to schedule an appointment with an eye doctor, you can do so on Costco Optical's website.

Discounts

Costco provides good prices for those who purchase in bulk. In order to maintain this reputation, Costco Optical offers $30 off of a second pair of glasses purchased at the same time of your first purchase.

Variety of Top-selling Lenses

The eyeglass industry offers a number of different lens options to fit the needs of a wide variety of eyeglass wearers. Customers can work with an optician and/or an ophthalmologist to find the perfect lenses for their prescription and personal needs. Costco Optical has a number of different lenses available for sale. They include the following:

  • HD Progressive Lenses — These lenses help provide high definition vision at any distance. They come with an anti-reflective treatment and are custom made for your prescription and frame selection.
  • Bifocal Lenses — With a separating line in the middle, bifocal lenses are made to help with both near and distance vision.
  • Single Vision Lenses — For those who only need lenses to correct one distance, the single vision lens are a great choice.
  • Polarized Lenses — The polarized lenses protect your eyes against glare and also block 100 percent of UV rays. For an additional cost, they can be made with a silver, gold, or blue mirror coating.
  • Transitions Photochromic Lenses — Transition lenses provide users with both prescription eyeglasses and prescription sunglasses. These lenses are perfectly clear while you are indoors and begin to darken immediately upon exposure to the sun. They also help protect against harmful blue light, reduce glare, eye fatigue and strain, and block 100 percent of UV rays. A specialty drivewear version of these transition lenses is also available helping reduce excess light and optimizing color contrast. They activate to a copper color which helps enhance color recognition and depth perception.
  • Blue Anti-Reflective Treatment — Blue light rays are known to disrupt the natural sleep cycle and in some cases damage the retina. The blue anti-reflective treatment helps reduce damage to the eye and allows beneficial blue light to pass through for increased clarity.
  • Anti-Reflective Treatment — The anti-reflective coating is used to sharpen visual performance, reduce eye fatigue and reflections at night, and decrease the amount of reflection that others can see on the surface of your lenses.
  • Multi-functional Lens — These lenses are similar to progressive lenses. The difference is that the intermediate reading area is much larger than it is in progressive lenses. This helps maintain a comfortable head posture while working at a computer and can help reduce eyestrain, tired eyes, and headaches.

Eye Care Products

In addition to prescription eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses, Costco Optical also sells the following eye care products:

  • Lubricant eye drops
  • Lens cleaning tissues
  • Redness reliever eye drops
  • Multi-purpose solution
  • Multi-purpose disinfecting solution

The Bad

  • Online Shopping
  • Scratched Lenses
  • Distortion in Lenses
  • Poor Quality Coatings
  • Long Wait
  • Customer Service
  • Must Have a Membership

Online Shopping

When you are looking for eyeglasses, one of the most important factors is being able to select frames that you like. Costco Optical does not provide a section on its website allowing customers to see all of its frames. If you would like to shop for frames, you will need to go to your local Costco warehouse. We hope that Costco Optical adds a frames inventory to its website soon.

Scratched Lenses

Recent Costco Optical reviews have mentioned frustration with lenses getting scratched easily. This has been attributed to cheap materials being used on the lenses. If you have been prone to scratching your glasses in the past, Costco Optical may not be a good idea for you.

Distortion in Lenses

Some customers have mentioned that their glasses have been distorted on the sides of the lenses. Some thought it might be due to an astigmatism, but the majority felt that the lenses were very poorly made, causing a number of problems. A number of these customers stopped using the glasses all together as they felt it was even more damaging to their eyes.

Poor Quality Coatings

The most common complaint found in Costco Optical reviews is that the coatings put on the glasses to protect from blue light, UV rays, etc. have begun peeling shortly after purchasing the glasses. Some have peeled from the sides, while others have begun peeling from random places in the middle of the lenses. This has made wearing the glasses very difficult and frustrating.

Long Wait

There have been a number of complaints about the wait time at Costco Optical centers. If you are planning to go to a physical location to get help from an optician with your glasses, plan to be there for a good amount of time. Some customers have waited for anywhere from 30 minutes to over an hour.

Customer Service

Costco Optical reviews have not been very positive when discussing customer service. Not only have customers waited for long periods of time, but they have felt that the customer service representatives have not been very helpful. Customers who have returned glasses or tried to discuss issues with recently purchased glasses have not been pleased with the efforts made to solve the problems.

Must Have a Membership

In order to purchase eyeglasses from Costco optical, you have to have a Costco membership. If you do not have a membership and do not want to purchase one, you will need to look elsewhere for your eyeglasses.

gavel

The Bottom Line

If you shop at Costco, this is a great way to kill two birds with one stone. If you do not currently have an eye doctor and need to find out what your prescription is, you can do this after purchasing your groceries. If you are on a tight budget, it may be beneficial to look at a couple other companies to see if you can find a price that is better for you. If you are worried that you will damage your glasses easily, you also might want to look for a company that provides quality protection coatings.

My husband and I decided to try Costco for glasses - very disappointed after less than a year. He had to go back numerous times as they didn't get his prescription right. My frames fell apart in less than a year and they don't warranty anything. The coatings are poor quality, the lenses (supposedly scratch resistant) scratch easily. Bought prescription sunglasses and they are terrible - the coatings distort colors - you see a lot of purple and green on objects that is not there. The coatings are extremely dark and despite being prescription are difficult to read through. The coatings look like they have tiny spots all over them - cleaning does not remove the spots. Went back to my eye doctor the next time and paid about the same for glasses - they are quality glass - no distortion and they warranty the coatings and well as the glasses and frames. I feel the first week and scratched the lenses and although the damage was my fault the insurance through my eye doctor covered it and they gave me a new frame and lenses at no charge. Not like Costco. They are not priced reasonably enough to buy their junk. Worth it to get high quality glasses elsewhere. And the prescription sunglasses we got from the eye doctor have none of the color reflections - good vision of color through them and no more purple and green shades on objects. You don't save enough at Costco to make it worthwhile to get cheap quality glasses..

So I have been in 4 times adjusting my glasses. To which I was told in order to get the issue fixed I would need to go back to my doctor get another eye test done which I would have to pay for, and then go back in to Costco and they would redo my glasses. Which is ridiculous because my prescription is fine it’s just where those glasses are marked for my progressive glasses doesn’t match up with my eyes and where I’m seeing. When I pull them down on my nose the prescription is perfect but when I put it up where they marked it, I have blurry vision. I’m very disappointed in Costco and these glasses and my husband’s glasses have the same issue. They have such a great return policy on everything else but when it comes to glasses, I would never go back again

Costco has done a great job of providing quality and support for its products and services. I have never been disappointed until now. I ordered two pairs of glasses from their optical. The first error is they delivered a different set of frames than what I ordered and I had to fight to get that corrected. Then the nose pieces molded almost immediately and luckily they replaced them. The frame also chipped and they refused to do anything & instead blamed me for scratching them. I am very mindful of my glasses. Even if they were incorrectly handled - which they weren't - the finish should not be so fragile that it comes off within 2 mos of purchase. I get they are lesser frames based on the price, however, they are not disposable. I am extremely disappointed in Costco for not standing behind these products. Do not buy glasses there.

I am a long-time member of Costco and will remain one, however, this is my first time shopping at the Optical department Costco because they were the cheapest, I went there with my prescription, and the guy assisted with shopping for the frame, and my glasses order got done. After a few days, I got a text message saying that my order is ready for pickup. The lady who handle my request handed over my glasses 👓 I tried them on and found out that they got my number wrong. She checked and said, Sorry it's on them because their lab did it wrong and they have to send it back to fix it and it will take about 10 days. I said OK. Yesterday I got a text message for the pick-up again. I went to Costco today but was very disappointed to find out they didn't change anything to the glasses. The lab staff or Bozeman MT Costco The optical staff didn’t even check the glasses. I wish they could have checked the orders before they send a text to the customer for the pickup. Hopefully, they will have it fixed this time 🙏

I am a long time member of costco, and will remain one, however I will avoid the Optical department. I have eye surgery coming up in a couple weeks, and my eye surgeon asked me to go the next couple of weeks without a contact in my one eye that will be operated on. So I took a pair of glasses in that needed one clear lens, next to one lens that was already in the glasses from a previous prescription. My eye surgeon recommended Costco because they were cheapest, since I only needed 2-weeks of wear. The lady who assisted me seemed annoyed with my request, but went ahead and took the order. She told me that even though I only needed one clear lens, they still had to charge me full rate for two lenses - which was fine by me. Of course, after having to push my surgery out a couple weeks to wait for the glasses to come back from their lab, it was very disappointing to go in and find that they went ahead and made both lenses clear and that they threw away the only good lens I had. When I called in to tell them of the mistake, they just said it sounded like a mistake, nothing they could do unless I wanted to start the process over with them. No thank you. I cannot delay my needed surgery any longer - so I spend my two weeks without vision. Mistakes I understand, but their tough luck approach to their screw up baffles me. ITS VISION! Not the place to skimp, I learn.

I ordered a 6 month supply of contacts for BOTH eyes (different lenses for each eye). My order was immediately confirmed by email. 10 days later received an email stating order had been shipped. 6 days after that, received a box in the mail. When I opened the box, half of box was filled with packing materials and only the contacts for left eye were in the box. I assumed the other eye supply was shipped separately so I logged onto to my costoc.com account to find tracking number. Despite the email stating my order was shipped and NO emails notifying me of anything amiss, I found the order for my right eye was marked "canceled" with no further explanation. I called Costco.com customer service and after a lengthy phone tree process was eventually connected to a very polite agent who said that is was the "vendors" fault and that they (whoever they were) should have notified me that my order was cancelled and explained why. This is patently absurd. No matter what Costco.com is doing in the back of the house, they are the "vendor" and the sole point of contact I had at any point. I still have no idea who the "vendor" supposedly is or why the order was partially cancelled. Nor do I think it is acceptable for Costco.com to claim they have zero responsibility to even notify me that my order was cancelled. The Costco.com phone rep suggested I call Costco.com Optical directly. BUT-- Get this-- she had no way to transfer me, no phone number to give an no idea when that department might open. But, she was politely adamant that Costco was not responsible for notifying me in any way that my order was cancelled - that was the responsibility of whatever anonymous company Costco passed the order to. Luckily, I was able to scramble and find another online supplier for my right eye -- actually at $10 cheaper per box. I called that supplier to verify they actually had then lenses and am expecting to receive them in the next few days. Overall, Costco.com is fine when things go well- but when there is an issue or they make an error, don't expect them to admit it or make any effort to solve it OR even to try to change their processes so future customers don't have the same experience.

I had the worst experience ever with Tustin Costco optical! - Don't rely on the employees advice! - Don’t rely the prices, they do not guaranty quality glasses! - There is no costumer service! I was really in need of a glasses. Based on wrong advice of the branch employee, we decided to purchase two glasses to get 30% discount. I waited until my husband have an eye exam and then go and order frames. When we went there we find out the discount does not apply to us. We selected two of the most expensive glasses. After a week they called us to get the frames. My husband picked them up and didn’t notice that mine is damaged. We went there another time, and they offered to redo it for us. After a week we went to collect it. It was damaged again! Then the most that the manager was able to offer us was to return our money! It was really a pain to fit these time consuming visits to costco Optical into our busy daily schedule as a full time employees, especially that our naughty daughter was accompanying us in all these visits. Who cares! I was really frustrated and angry and just wanted to share this with someone!

Spend the extra money to use a quality optical shop. Costco is NOT a quality optical shop at ALL! I bought 4 pairs and each pair had a defect! The new manager Rebecca wanted to argue that she couldn’t see the bubbles in my UV coating! After an hour of her rudeness, she finally agreed to make another pair! My ophthalmologist was appalled at the fact that my lenses were not only the cheapest quality but truly inconsistent from one pair to another on visual acuity. I was glad to hear it wasn’t just me! Totally not worth the next pair of cheap glasses coming my way! COMPLETE JUNK!!! I will gladly spend more for quality lens and frames! Who has the time to take a number, wait an hour only to be treated rudely!!??!! Then to receive junk! Not my bag! Goodby Costco Optical!! I’ve heard so many customers at Costco complain that a month or two later their glasses became a problem! Bargain shopping glasses isn’t worth the headache! Huge waste of my precious time! Screw Costco Optical!!!! Worth the slight increase in my investment not to deal with these folks ever again!

I was called to pick up my bifocals as being ready. I arrived after traveling 40 min and as they tried on my glasses found that only one lense had been covered with material used for pre cataracts. Just a dimple “ Im sorry, we need to send them back.” I later found out that my grand daughter had only one lense in her glasses as she went to pick her’s up. Why were they not checked first to see if they looked ready to be picked up without causing not only a 1& 1/2 hour of lost time, but also the lost money on gasoline in these days of high prices. And the stress ( just days before my son’s wedding day) . Not to mention the poor workmanship from where ever they are made. Reimbursements for lost time and money should be made so the mistakes, and employees graded to lessen these careless mistakes. Now I must find out who the Company is , and how to reach quality control, and speak with the cosco optical managers to see why they were not checked before calling to be picked up. Also the company making the bad mistakes on the glasses. The checkout person said they had to be completely redone, as you csnnot just coat one lense separately. To be continued…

I ordered contacts for the first time at Costco and now I know it is not a pleasant experience. First set one eye was imputed to their system incorrectly. So, after 10 days of waiting for my contacts the came in wrong due to input by the optical dept. I returned the wrong set and was told the left eye lenses would be delivered in a few days. Then, I received the left set and it did not match the prescription. I left a message to get a call but, they never called. I waited no return call. The optical dept. never advised me that they talked to my Dr. and changed the prescription. I was looking for the original prescription. They didn’t match. I drove over to Costco to see everyone standing around. I never got my return call. I wasted my time going over to Costco optical. If they would have returned my call this might have been a better experience.

This is about my first experience of NOT getting an eye exam at the Santee Costco location - not the purchasing of glasses. It is hard to get time off of work so I scheduled the first appointment of the day, 10am. I arrived on time and waited until 10:25am. From 10:05 until I left the office, his assistant kept telling me he would be out in a couple minutes. He never came out and by 10:25 I knew I no longer had time for the exam and get back to work on time, I had to leave. I lost time from work, didn't get an eye exam, and left feeling like the office doesn't care about the customer/patient nor have respect for our time and what it takes for some of us to get to an appointment. Having purchased glasses before - a good experience, I find myself very disappointed with the exam portion of the process. Not Amazing!

I should have gone to an optometrist that actually took his time with his patients. I have been a Costco member since 1987 in the Orlando FL area. I never used their optical service and in retrospect, I never should have. Truth be told I haven't been in for an eye exam for several years. I knew things would be different, but I felt like I was being timed by the doctor so he could get to his next appointment. . He knew what I needed, blah, blah, blah, and got me out of his chair in less than 15-20 min. I thought ok, we'll see. When the glasses arrived I put them on only to see almost double vision. "Oh, we will remake the lenses for free but you need to go back to the Dr. and make an appointment." Another 10 days! I went to the service desk only to find out they can't process a return - Only optical. I go there and the person tells me they are custom made and can't be returned. I wanted to speak to the manager and she is on lunch break so I get her card and she calls me. when I get back home. Told her I was very dissatisfied with the entire experience and want a complete refund. Waiting to see if that becomes a reality. Dr. has his money, and so does Costco and I have 2 pr. of glasses I can't see out of. I can't speak about the quality of their optical products but in my experience, if you want a comprehensive eye exam find someone that doesn't work out of a big box warehouse store.

While trying my new prescription glass, they made a weird sound. Shawn said that there was nothing wrong with them. The manager I believe gave me a strange look and instructed another employee to inspect the new pair of glasses. The girl told me that there is a space between the Frame and lens and will do them again. A week later I went to pick the new pair up and I could see a big time colored glare and a sharp line on both sides at the edges of the lenses. Of course the same guy, his supervisor and the assistant General manager of the store said that they cannot satisfy me as a customer and told me that I cannot buy glasses from Costco anymore.

I went to Costco for a pair of glasses. When they came back, I could not see distance well. They told me they were fine and maybe my prescription was wrong. I went back to the eye doctor, who refracted me again, and told me the prescription was correct. My eye doctor charged $50 because she said this is a recurring problem at Costco, LensCrafters and others. They the eye doctor manually checked the prescription in the new glasses and it did not match what she wrote. I went back to Costco and told them this. They said they never make "exact" prescriptions, as most people do not notice. They are redoing them as ANSI intolerant so that they need to make my prescription exact. It should be exact for everyone! That's why we take time to go to the eye doctor. I am waiting on mine to be returned to me, so I don't know the results yet. Here is what is ordered Right: +2.50. -1.75. 110 Here is what how they made lenses +3.00. -2.00 098 Left prescribed. +1.25. -0.75. 089 Here is what they made +1.75. -1.00. 079 Is this crazy!! My eye doctor told me it's common and she especially feels bad for children who cannot express the problem. I am hoping these will be correct, but if not, will go to my eye doctor's office. She told me costco best lenses are her lowest quality lenses. Next time I will not use Costco. Anyway, hoping they work out this time.

Had my lenses replaced related to horrible scratching in 4 months. They reluctantly replaced them. I’ve had the new lenses for 2 weeks and they are scratching again already. I attempted to not have them put the new anti blue light coating on them as I felt this was the reason!! They said they couldn’t because that wasn’t the original prescription . I’ve had glasses for 12 years never have I experienced this scratching before. They insist it’s the way I’m cleaning them even though I’m cleaning them as I always have lens cloth and spray. I’ve cleaned them as they told me now dish soap and cotton cloth yet still scratching. I have glasses from other places that are 3 years old with no scratching on them. I feel their new anti blue coating is causing the issue!!! Want new lenses with out the coating but will have to pay for them. Really disappointed will not ever use them again.

Went to have my eye exam at Costco in La Quinta, Ca. The Dr. became very frustrated as he could not get my vision right, he was trying to go off of my present prescription, I could not see clearly or read pretty much of what he was trying. Finally, he says , here’s, what I’m going to do, I’m adding this, changing this, etc, I have 10 people waiting and I can’t find anything you see, here’s your new prescription, I think it may work, and out the door he went, without showing me what my vision would be, with what he just drew up!!!! So I will not purchase any glasses, as I have no idea if prescription is right or not. He had people waiting!!!!! He wouldn’t have if I was able to see with what he was attempting to do

BUYER BEWARE!!! I've worn prescription eyeglasses for over 40 years. I can readily tell the difference between a cheap set of frames, a so-so one, and a high quality one. The covid pandemic shut down many businesses, including my reliable source of prescription eyeglasses. Before this happened, I decided to buy a high quality set of frames, and reuse them as my prescription changed. Back then I also checked Costco's inventory and found them to be designed to last me one year at most, with careful handling. Therefore i went with my old reliable source. This December i decided to try Costco for the first time and get a new set of glasses. After waiting out in an aisle for 30 minutes at the El Paso Costco, an employee finally talked to me. After explaining my intent to reuse my current frames, I was surprised when he said that the shop that Costco uses in San Diego is very picky about accepting work involving existing frames, including designer, custom ordered, and even high quality ones. the excuse is that they don't want responsibility for damaging existing frames. if any of the lower-quality frames they supply fails, it can be replaced under warranty and insurance will take care of the cost. In the end, the employee recommended that I order one of their cheaper frames. I made it clear I was not interested in doing this, so in the end the employee suggested other places to try and get my new lenses. Therefore I advice anybody reading glowing reviews of Costco Optical, to take them with a grain of salt. Do your homework and don't be misled my Costco's reputation on other product lines.

Have only had my prescription glasses for 10 months. I took my glasses off the other night and one of the ear extensions fell off - took it back to Costcoo - they were sorry they couldn't fix it. Sorry is right. I expected them to warranty it. The glasses have not been abused. Also the lenses are near impossible to get clean - probably because the protective finishes peel off or scratch easily.

My glasses took a while to come in. I never really could see very well in them but tolerated them. About 6 months out one of the bows started breaking off. I was told too bad too sad we don't cover our frames. I have never in my 50 years of wearing glasses, had the frames fall apart! I still have all my old frames from decades ago. Note that Costco offers no warranty on glasses. I spent $200 for prescription sunglasses that broke in 10 months. They could not be repaired and my only option was to purchase the same frame again and reuse the lenses. But (1) they didn’t have the frame and (2) why would I buy the same poor quality frame again? I won’t buy glasses at Costco again.

My review is limited because I have not yet received the lenses I ordered. The Costco process is mind numbingly slow. I am willing to pay more in order to actually receive my lenses before my prescription changes from the passage of time. That is, so far, an exaggeration, but the services I have used before provided lenses in two days. Costco took more than two days to reflect that my order had been received.

Had issues from the beginning with not being able to clean the lenses, Tried 4 liquid cleaners, including theirs, soap & water, several different cleaning cloths. Just smeared. Took beck to Costco, they wiped, said no issue. I could still see the smears after they cleaned them. Just got new glasses elsewhere with same prescription and these clean easily. It was the same prescription but I can see more clearly with the new ones, I don't believe the Costco ones were ground to the exact prescription. Price on the new ones we almost exactly the same as what I paid at Costco 2 years ago.

I recently purchased a pair of progressive lenses, and the field of vision is not only a finger width wide, but they are uneven on the lenses. I have to turn my head to the right to look out the right eye. When I mentioned this, the lady told me that I'll never look at anything with one eye, and I would get used to it. I work with gems and minerals. Half of my day is looking at specimens with one eye. The lenses scratch easily, and get hazy in spots.

It took them 65 min just to get my new prescription made. Very slow, disgraceful, and unwelcoming customer service experience at the downtown store. Never had such an wweful experience at the Hawaii Kai store where I still prefer to shop. They need to do something about how they treat their customers who pay their income. They don't make accommodations for the wait (no chairs or seats available) yet their work ethics is so mediocre and lack-lustre performance. Costco needs to do something about it. Never have I seen a people who care so little about their customers.

I have worn glasses for nearly 45 years and never have I had the coding of the glasses start to peel and fog up so you cannot see well. I have glasses that are 10 years old that have not done that and my glasses from Costco did it in less than two years. And you cannot get classes without this film put on them. Don’t waste your time here go to a regular eye clinic you’ll be much happier

It was a very horrifying experience. Had to wait for half an hour took a number but no one attended. I just walked out. The glasses that were made is defective. I couldn’t read even the medium size letters. When I mentioned that their response was ridiculous

After purchasing the frames and glasses for over $500 and after two years of use the poly carbonate lenses that they sold me started to de-laminate and scratch very easy... Very disappointed and how long they lasted. So much so that I've decided to buy more expensive lenses from a smaller local business.

Worst glasses I ever purchased. Caused headaches and severe eye strain and couldn't wear them. When questioned they told me my eyes were probably tested incorrectly and to go back and have eyes retested. I went to second spec with the same prescription and zero issues! Worst $600 I spent.

Horrible, we have been going to optometrist for decades. Decided to book at Costco for the convenience,. What a poor life choice, had a 10am appointment and it is now 12pm and we are still here waiting. Everyone with appointments after us have been seen and left. WILL NEVER RECOMMEND TO ANYONE WE KNOW OR COME BACK

Terrible. Rigid on how customers eyes must conform to Costco’s “lab specs.” Cannot think outside that box and treat customer as if they are a problem for needing bifocal line lower, or progressive mid-range wider. Terrible people skills. Not patient oriented AT ALL.

My glasses had distorted vision. When I told Costco optical about the situation, they were not helpful. I would never buy glasses there again. I have only worn my new glasses for two hours because something is wrong with them - but cannot return them because of their policy.

My prescription eyeglasses from Costco Optical became hazy/foggy after 7 months of use. Took them back to the store (Costco Willowbrook) and they would not do anything about it. They said that the warranty on glasses is only 90 days. So be ware if you are planning to get glasses from Costco.

They only return cost of frames. The glasses (Trussardi) caused my nose to swell. So I couldn’t wear them. I spent $280. They only refunded $129. I won’t buy glasses here again and would not recommend their optical department. Target optical has much better customer service.

Those ladies who called you to confirm your appointment, they should ask you first about your insurance not on the day of your appointment and you will end up cancelling your appointment because they can not find your name on your insurance.. Such a waste of time. 🤨

Found out too late that Costco lens are crap On a £300 lens after careful use they are scratched and the coating is breaking up after just over a year. I bought a pair from Asda three years ago for £45 and there’s not a mark on them Staff weren’t interested

I am not sue if it was the eye doctor or Costco but I had to go back three times and they never got it right. I spent over $200 for a worthless set of lens and they never followed up to see if the las pair was right and treated me like a problem . I will never purchase glasses from them again

Costco UV coating will orange peel when exposed to heat. I left my glasses in the car, and it got to the point where I couldn't use them at all. Had to order replacement lenses online and pay for it since Costco does not have any warranty on lenses. I live in WA where it doesn't even get that hot during the summer.

The prices are good but you get poor quality, smudge and not lasting coatings, tried it for more than 5 years waiting for improvement but NO improvement so far, pay cheap but at the end your vision will suffer.

My daughter and I got our glasses at Costco. We both have the same issue, we can't get the lenses perfectly clean. You always have some streaks left. Definitely not going back there for my next pair of glasses.

Cost co frames are the worst. My experience with three pairs of readers ended up with the arms separated from the frames. They take no responsibility for the poor quality.

Completely inefficient when it comes to shipping their glasses and takes a really long time for a mediocre pair.
