I signed up with Freedom Debt Relief a month ago.I did what they said when the welcome package came.I sent my creditors the page changing my phone number and e-mail to theirs. But instead of my creditors calling, texting or e-mailing FDR.I continued to get calls, texts and e-mails from my creditors. All my creditors have told me they will not work with FDR.When I notified FDR they tell me they do work them.Since signing up with FDR the calls etc. from my creditors have gotten worse.I talked to FDR yesterday 3 times and got the same bs from them,The last person I talked to suggested I change my phone number and e-mail to stop them from contacting me.They told me it could take 4 to 6 months for them to negotiate with my creditors.I asked why it would take them that long, they couldn't tell me.I asked them why if I went to a bankruptcy lawyer or Credit Counseling of Virginia they could stop my creditors from contacting me.Again all I got was they negotiate with my creditors. They are a rip off do not trust them.

Not much progress, and my credit rating is blown, I thought this would help, but so far it hasn't made much progress. Only 1 account settled?? Not sure why and the one that was - was not reported as settled as agreed to the Credit Bureau... Hoping the next months things start to happen. I've sent out letters not to call me but deal with Freedom and I still get phone calls.??

One of the worst choice I have ever made. The steps they tell you to follow to cancel, mean nothing. I cancelled within 24 hours (they give you 72 hours) of signing up, I even called the consultant that I signed up with to make sure and I was told that "it was all cancelled and handled". Then, they still drafted my bank account! I had to call twice to get actually get a refund. I speak to 5 different people and finally the last gentleman that WAS able to help me, tells me that that my agreement was never even cancelled. 8 business days after my money was taken, I received a refund, however it was not the full amount. Ridiculous!

I have been trying for months to access the client dashboard and I still can't access it. I think you could be more prompt in replying to e mails. So I am not very positive with customer service. Also you removed money from my account on the wrong day which put me in a bind.

I don't like the fact that no one person handles my case. Whenever I call I get someone different and have to start at the beginning and explain my situation before we can get to the current issue. I asked them 15 months ago to start negotiations with a particular company that was willing to cooperate but they ignored it and went with a different company. Now I am being taken to court by that company. When I call to try and deal with this situation I have to explain it all from the beginning to bring them up to speed and it gets very annoying. And they are not at all helpful in legal matters and now it's "not their problem"!

I am no longer with Freedom. I was with these people 4 months and they tried to make a settlement with one creditor. I got 2 different settlements. I tried calling these people no response and I e-mailed these people no answer. Before I cancelled with Freedom they should have made the one payment but they did not. I had to make the payment. For 4 months I paid in almost 2000.00 and I was lucky to get back some of it. I am on a fixed income and this hurt. Social security does not pay much for me to have lost this, The creditors that I talked to had not been contacted the 4 mos. I did good when I called my creditors myself. Freedom is for some people but it was not for me.

I am happy with the progress we are making, but I left a message on my dashboard and no one ever responded. When I called customer service (Blanca, I think), she had me email her the information I had received concerning a settlement. I got a return email saying she had received the information, but I have not heard anything since...

I am glad to hear there are some people that got help from this company... My experience was horrible.. I paid 939.00 per month for almost a year... I knew my unemployment would not support that much of a payment so I had asked for a lower payment and run it a little longer... They DROPPED me because I would not be successful if I could not meet that large payment. End result, they received 8900.00 from me and paid NO ONE.. I ended up with 2 judgements because they did not try to negotiate to pay anything and a few of the creditors worked with me and I ended up paying less than the discount I was promised by Freedom Debt... I was not able to get anyone to give me any information about the funds they received... So, to my knowledge they paid no one on my behalf and they are 8900.00 richer for it... I believe in Karma.... I do not recommend this company... Creditors are not the demons they want you to believe...

I would rate it higher, however, I have only been in this for three months with one settlement out of 13. I am happy with the progress and with the courtesy I have encountered when I have a question. Another result is a significant decrease in spending on a tight budget. My counsel to others is that one persist and be patient.

I have found FDR to be a reactive company. The only things they have done for me (to date) were the direct result of an action on my part, nothing proactive on their part. They are taking money from my 'escrow' account and calling it a "bank monitoring fee". Banks I've worked with have always paid me interest for my deposits, FDR uses a bank that charges me to deposit. I have yet to get a clear, concise answer from any of their phone reps. (One I had to spell their own email address to). The claim to not receive papers and emails, when I have proof they have. Based on my current situation with FDR, I'd say the biggest mistake I've ever made.

I have also been having problems logging into my client portal. I just gain access to my account today. I signed up on 7/16/2015 and just now gain access. I am starting to get very frustrated with all the phone calls from creditor that they have promised will stop. They told me that they have sent letter to all my creditors, but I am started to doubt it.

At the beginning of the program, I had a great experience with Freedom. Towards the end I saved enough money to pay off the remaining balances. So I called in April 2015 and asked for a payoff, I submitted the funds to pay off all the debt. After a few weeks I called back and they said that they were paying off the debts and had a few scheduled in May. So, I called back in June and they did not have enough money in the account to pay off all the accounts. The agent asked if I could send in a little extra to make sure it was covered and anything extra would come back to me. I was a little upset but I sent a additional draft. Now while all of this was happening, they had stopped automatic draft until they started again in Aug. I was really upset because I was told they were not going to take any more money. I called them again, this time real upset, they said that they needed more money and they took it from the draft. I told them they had gave me 2 payoffs amounts and I was wanting a full refund on what they drafted from my account. Well, they said that a Manager would call me but they never did. So, today I checked the website and it said all accounts have been paid. I called them and asked to close the account. They said it would take a few days to get it processed. Well, we will see if this is over! I will be reporting their doing to the Better Business Bureau after I get refunded. In all I feel like was was punished for paying off early and they wanted to make up some of that money. I would not recommend anyone from using them because of the problems I've had since April.

We have been enrolled for 9 months now and so far we are dissapointed. Everytime we call in we get a different person that seems to not be familiar with our account. We have faxed and emailed paperwork numerous times and even though we have confarmation that they received it, they can never find it. We have paid over 4,000 dollars so far and they settled one account for a little over 2,000 dollars and somehow we only have 481 dollars left on our account. Would not recommend this company unless they do something to turn things around for us, if they do I will repost review. I feel most of the reviews here are fake and mine is the only one written by a real customer.

I have been with the program going on three years. I am very disappointed in how long all of this is taking. I can guarantee you that if I had known what I know today I would not have gone with this company. At first they were great and that's how they want you to see them. But just wait! Furthermore they are terrible communicators, and some of their CS reps are down right rude. They lied to me and failed to follow up with a situation after I made several attempts to ask them to follow up. I was told that they were in contact with the lawyer who was threatening me, but come to find out they never even made contact until I was threatened with garnishment...then all of sudden they were on top of it and pretended to be my hero! Yes I did get a couple of debts cut down...but not what I expected. It also has taken way over the amount of time they had originally told me it would take. Overall, I would not recommend this company.

Been in the program since Jan, 1 of 7 accounts resolved. I wish I knew more about what else was going on with the other accounts. The site always says in negotations. Really? ok tell me more. customer service is a little hit and miss. but always pleasant. Its not good speaking to somone who has to read through your file to answer a question, and when you call back later for more information your given a completly different answer from a completly different person. It gets a little confusing. Im still keeping my fingers crossed all this goes smoothly, and this company does as it adverstises.

i could not recommend a good word about how we have been treated with respect to the agreement we made with freedom financial. 5 months ago we were in financial trouble but we're keeping bills paid up to date without a late payment or anything . 5 months later our creditors have not been paid a penny, they have not even been contacted to negotiate, something we were told had already been established. Without sending any payment of any kind to our creditors our credit reports show late payments longer than 120 days ,creating delinquent accounts. Credit scores went from low 700 to mid to low 500. We could not get a prepaid credit card with credit like this that this company created. We take full responsibility for the financial situation and went for help to end up with our credit completely destroyed. I have ask that freedom financial do what is needed to write letters and give these creditors the contract agreement and hope since we have cancelled the agreement we can do our own negotiations with these creditors. So far all we contacted are willing to work with us in unbelievable ways. Getting a company like freedom financial to help you is a chance you will end up like us , ruined. Try working with your creditor on your own , you will get a better deal and know what is happening. We did not become aware our creditors had not been paid or contacted 4 months after we signed the agreement. Don't believe the percentage comparison, l posted a 0 rating and it did not change there percentage advertising.

The most coniving evil company I have worked with. They lied to me and forced me into Bankrruptcy. I had 5 accounts to settle. In the year I was in the program, which I was refered through Primerica who owns the Company. I was being sued by 2 of the accounts and hired an attorney through them in my state. The attorney never meet with us or informed us of anything. The attorney set up hearings for the court dates and didn't show for either one, or inform us that ended in default judgements. Still unaware what happened we were served with a collection of our assets and frozen bank accounts. Called everyone from the hired attorney, Primerica and FDR for 5 days begging for help. All they told me is they are working on it and the creditors didn't return their calls. Why would they the creditors already had a default judgement. The end result was that our car was reposseded and was forced to file Chapter 13. Now we are paying double in court fees and filing and another lawyer. Our credit is ruined and not one person would help us. We were dropped as soon as we fell through the cracks. They collected over $8,500 in one year and not ONE ACCOUNT was settled. I'm not done with them. I will get my justice one way or another. They financially ruined us for our retirement. We are left with almost nothing. Shame on Primerica, Freedom Debt Relief and the their Law Firm. They are all liars and scam artists. They strung us along and never thought what they have done.

Helein!! Los Angeles, CA

I enrolled in the program back in February 2015. I set up a monthly payment every 8th of the month, 2 weeks b4 the 8th I decided to change the payments for the 3th of the month, When I made the changes they reassure me everything was going great, a couple weeks later I checked my bank statement, I've noticed that the money still was in my account. I called and they inform me do to the changes I previously made. automatically put me behind the program, They should it inform me when I made the changes, so my first payment was collected in March, now it has been 4 month in the program with 2 month payment, and no progress of any kind, the collectors call me every day I had send collectors letters to them, they told me they will going to make the first offer but nothing has done yet! someone told me it might take at least 6 month for them to start making offers in the mean while late fees and over limits fees are accumulating. I don't know if I made the right decision to enroll with them!! The other issue I have they never call me, I have to call them to see how is everything is well!! it doesn't make sense to me why are the waiting so long to start making offers. I enrolled in the program with 25k but the time the start making offers I will be 30k deep in debt with late and over limit fees !!

I started with them in August and have only had 1/7 settled. The only reason it was settled was because of collections. If it hadn't gone to collections Id still be waiting which I think is ridiculous! I just settled with one of my debtors and settled myself for 50%. When I called freedom to let them know I need to drop that account they told me to send a fax. Why do I have to justify my actions!? You guys are sitting around collecting your money while my accounts are going to collections and getting sued by these companies. There's so much mixed information from every representative you call. I do not recommend this company at all!!!
