The Good

  • Money-Back Guarantee
  • Lawyers and Paralegals on Staff
  • Unlimited Negative Mark Removal

Money-Back Guarantee

According to the company’s website, Wype offers a money-back guarantee to all of its clients if the following criteria are met:

  • The client receives less than an average of a 35-point increase across all three of the major credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion).
  • The client was presented with a promise/misrepresentation of services when they signed up for Wype’s services.

Once a refund request has been submitted, the company will review it and, if there is no alternative solution and the request is valid, the company will ask the client to sign a release agreement form and will then provide the client with their money back within the next few business days.

Lawyers and Paralegals on Staff

Unlike some other credit repair companies, Wype has lawyers and paralegals that reside on its document preparation team.

Additionally, it appears that the company’s legal staff can assist clients who are being harassed by debt collectors. That said, the company does not provide much other information on its website regarding its legal staff or debt assistance services.

Unlimited Negative Mark Removal

Wype states online that it provides unlimited negative mark removal services. Meanwhile, many other companies in the industry charge extra for unlimited disputes.

The Bad

  • Limited Website Information
  • Lack of Online Resources
  • Additional Credit Monitoring Required

Limited Website Information

Although Wype does offer information like pricing and services offered on its website, the company does not openly disclose other important information about its staff, what states it provides services to, whether or not it offers a free consultation, what initial pricing it charges (if any), and whether or not it provides clients with a dedicated case advisor.

Additionally, the company states on its website that it offers tech-based credit restoration services but does not provide information about what software or technology it utilizes within its program. The credit repair company also mentions that its clients can get an early payoff discount, but again, there is no additional information online around this claim.

Wype also does not appear to provide a frequently asked question page online. Those who want to learn more may have to contact Wype directly via phone or email.

Lack of Online Resources

Unlike most companies in the credit repair industry, Wype does not appear to offer any type of online credit resource for consumers.

It’s important to note that most companies in the industry provide articles, videos, or other educational credit resources on their websites that can help consumers and current clients learn more about how to improve their credit and financial situations.

Additional Credit Monitoring Required

Along with its monthly fee, Wype requires clients to sign up and pay for IdentityIQ’s credit monitoring service, which costs $27.99 per month.

While it can be smart for consumers to have a credit monitoring service, this required monthly payment in addition to what the company charges for its services can be more than what consumers may expect to pay for credit repair.

The Bottom Line

Wype is a subscription-based, Utah credit restoration company that offers a documentation preparation team made up of lawyers and paralegals.

The company provides a tech-based credit restoration program and appears to provide some debt assistance service as well. Additionally, Wype offers a money-back guarantee and claims to provide clients with results in as little as 30 days from the start of service.

Wype charges a monthly fee of $150 for its credit repair services. The company also requires clients to sign up and pay monthly for a credit monitoring service. It is unclear whether or not the company charges any initial fees/first-work fees.

Although Wype does disclose some information on its website, the company still lacks a significant amount of important information that clients may want to know before signing up for the company’s services. The credit repair company also does not offer any helpful credit education resources on its main website like many other companies in the industry do.

If you are interested in Wype’s credit restoration services, we recommend that you visit the company’s website and contact the company directly in order to learn more about its services and offerings. We also recommend reading several Wype reviews before signing up for its services.

I didn't go all the way through the process because I didn't like the fact that you have to agree to give Wype limited power of attorney at the time you create your account online and before knowing exactly what they were going to do or what the could do for you. It must be for people who owe alot of money because it costs $175 a month for the service which is a bit excessive because people with bad credit probably don't have that kind of money. In my case, the $175 a month for 7 months would be enough to pay off the debts on my credit report and I wouldn't need wipe. They don't give you much info at all before you have to give them your social and other personal info. I prefer to know what I'm getting before disclosing all that info and granting power of attorney...
