If I could give a zero I would! My auto loan account was charged twice in the end of September. At the end of October I was charged a full amount again. All Ally can do is to send out a check with the waiting period of 10-14 days. Meanwhile my bank account is on minus and I have other bills pending. This is not the first time this has happened with this company. I am thoroughly disgusted with how they treat their customers.

Terrible experience. This is an online bank, so when you sell the car first you have to pay them off with a check sent in the mail! They have your title filed electronically with your state's DMV. So they have to notify the DMV to release it, and then a few weeks later you get it in the mail. So I was fortunate that I had a buyer that really liked the car and was paying cash. It took 6 Weeks!!... from the beginning to receiving my title. The customer service is farmed out foreign countries and you might or might not get someone you can understand.

I got an auto loan from them in October of 2019. I pay a little extra on my car payment and I write a note saying to put the extra amount towards the principle and not the interest. Well, in the 8 months i've had the car, I've had to call them 6 times to get it fixed because they would ignore my note and put the extra amount towards the interest. I just got a bill in saying that I have an unpaid balance and a 55 financial fee and I have no clue why because i've never missed a payment. So I am going to have to call them again. I'm never going to use them again.

Easily the worst bank I’ve ever dealt with. They outsource all of their phone calls, highest interest rates I’ve ever paid, it took three weeks to get a COPY of my title. When paying my vehicle off they wouldn’t clear a cashiers check for over a week and help the title for another 4 business days. Never had an easy phone conversation with them. When I found an error I called and asked for it to be fixed. They said it’s not wrong but would fix it anyways. If it’s not wrong why fix it? Spoiler alert: it never got fixed. 0/10 would not recommend

My car was financed with Ally bank and i had no problems using the online system to make payments. The car was totaled in May, 2019 and my car insurance paid their payment within days. Well here is where it gets ridiculous, my Gap coverage is with Ally. Everything they requested has been provided by both my insurance and myself. Ally is now reporting me as delinquent and good luck trying to talk to someone. How can departments in the same company refuse to talk to each other? Scam artists masquerading as a legit company.

One of the most frustrating experiences I’ve ever had trying to work with this company. They flat out refuse to do their job and are good for absolutely nothing. I’ve called trying to request the title for my vehicle probably a dozen times. The vehicle has since been totaled and the insurance agency can’t get them to fax them the title either! No idea what could possibly cause such difficulty filling a simple request. DO NOT USE AT ANY COST.

Dealership said these guys were great. They are terrible. Traded car in 6 months later to another dealership they sent a check overnight for $32,000. The check was deliver on Friday at 8 am. It is now 6 days later and check still not processes. This is going to make the payment lat. I feel they are doing this on purpose to try and collect a late fee.. Caution Caution Caution

Do not fool with Ally Auto my credit is ruined I cant even refinance and go somewhere else I have been making payments on my own since June when I bought my car well in December I started getting over draft fees in my checking for December and January these people put my account in auto pay so I was making 2 payments didnt know it messed up my checking my credit card bill did not get paid and my credit is ruined Im about to take this truck back to the dealers I will not deal with a company Like this I hate this company

BEWARE:: My granddaughter got behind on late fees took her car we tried to pay won’t let us said have to wait for paperwork 3-5 days Police said illegal you have right to pay and go get car. Beware they have no physical office so makes it hard to fight but I will use social media and pick it dealer to get my point across. Use company with an office.

I honestly think they contributed to my heart attack, they even called the hospital looking for a payment while I was being operated on. AND they will harass your friends from a contact list from any platform that you may use. Facebook, Instagram, ect.

so, i am a week late on my payment. they call me 6 times a day ( Robo Dial ) most of the time when i answer there is no one there. Even some times they will hang up on me when i answer. Also, the reps do not speak English very well. I find myself getting irritated when i repeat the same answer to the question 3 times . Once I asked to speak to some one in the usa but they just hung up on me . If you can avoid this bank.

One of worst companies ever. Called 6 days ago asking for the title to transfer car registration from one state to another, I was told it’ll be faxed to me in 1-2 business days. It never came. I called again today and the answer was “the title department is closing in 10 minutes and it’ll be done tomorrow” after I explained to them that I needed it today because the registration is expiring today

I see why they have 5.79 billion in profits, Ally hired people out the country and pay them less than minimun wage. These folks they hire don't speak or understand english very well and therefore you have consent misinterpretations as to what you are saying and what they understand. My credit has been screwed by ALLY!!! due to poor communication with customer service.

I had an account with Ally Auto and chose to pay it off but made an extra month of payment by mistake. When I asked for a refund, Ally told me they would hold the payment as security deposit till lease due. I was outrageous. What kind of logic is this? There was no requirement nor disclosure beforehand for security deposit. But when customer's money landed in its pocket by mistake, it became a ransom? I never heard any decent company would do that.

I was told that I was one month behind on car payments and the total to get it back was the past due balance plus the upcoming payment. They came and picked up the car and then lied to my husband saying it was two months behind and it ended up ruining my marriage because they just told my husband I hadn't been paying it. They are some sorry people that work there. But at the end of the day God doesn't like ugly and the truth will come to light.

They hold your title hostage. They have the worst customer service. No one speaks clear English, and it's very hard to explain your problem with them to get a resolution. I requested to have my FOURTEEN DAY PAY OFF AMOUNT. They provided to me a FOUR DAY PAYOFF. who does that? So now I owe an additional fee for the daily fiance cost. What a freaking joke. I will NEVER RECCOMEND THIS COMPANY.

Unfortunately, I can't give Ally -5 stars. Total loss, never gave insurance proper payout amount, never advised the amount was short, put late payments on credit report, GAP did or did not pay (who could tell?), still showed $200 balance, could never get explanation of balance, payments were autopay so COULD NOT be late payment fee, balance paid but still shows on credit report, and this does not include attempts to call and get someone, anyone to do what they said they would do. The car was a total loss 10 months ago and the saga continues.

Ally is no help. I want a negative star option. I needed some assistance with my payment due to an unforeseen financial difficulty but was told that they would rather repossess my vehicle 7 days after my payment was due. I have another vehicle payment through Santander Consumer and they were very very helpful and understanding, giving me multiple options to choose from. Please don't get a loan through Ally.

One star is too high for this racket organization. Purchased my lease car from Ally back in 2016 and have yet to receive title. Have the Bill of Sale and have called the state DMV and they continue to say the auto is registered to Ally. Ally claims they are working on it but it has now been 8 weeks. Have called almost daily leaving messages w limited responses from Ally saying it takes time - ITS BEEN 8 WEEKS!!!! Would never recommend this group and avoid at all costs

Anyone who scored over 1 star most likely got some incentive to do so. I have automatic payment withdraws for over a year now and every month they report it to the credit bureau as late. Worse bank out there. They will sell all your information you give them about yourself even after you dont have a loan with them anymore as well. Save yourself and get your loan somewhere else. I will walk if I need another car loan from them.

Stay as far away as you can from this company! I paid my car loan in full 21 days ago... With a CASHIERS CHECK from a reputable National Bank!!!. They still have not refunded me my overage. It does not take two weeks for a cashier's check to clear. No one speaks English there, and if they do you can barely understand them. If you value your own money, don't count on getting it back from them! Stay away from this fraud of a company!!!

Ally auto app allows for easy payments. However, the customer service could be better. I totaled my car and was unable to lower my payments, however if it wasn't totaled i would have been able to. I don't understand why this is a policy.

Such a bad experience. I wanted to trade in a leased vehicle at the dealership but they wouldn't allow the dealer to pay off my lease. Instead, I had to buy it out myself and then, once I had the title, trade it in at the dealership. Was a complete nightmare and I'll never use Ally again.

For an online bank after paying off auto loan can't get a payoff letter online. They can only mail it. Takes 4 business days to draft letter then 7 to 10 business days to mail. How dumb is that for a total online bank. No branch to go to. Worst customer service I have ever received from a "bank".

They lost my payoff check that was sent by FedEx with the account number on it. I know they received it on August 24th. Today they confessed that it’s lost!!! I reached out to them daily. Paid off our vehicle in June. They didn't have the courtesy to even send us a letter letting us know the loan was paid in full. I have yet to receive our lien release. I have called so many times. I have asked to talk to a supervisor but they never connect me. I will NEVER use them again.

We have only had an auto loan from this company for two months and have set up autopay twice with a representative. They have called us each time to say that we didn’t make the payment on time and have tried to charge us a late fee. Seems like a pattern to charge undue fees. Will refinance as soon as possible.

Ally Financial is the worst company I have ever dealt with for auto loans, I have been lied to consistently and I will NEVER suggest Ally to anyone. Paid off in full the $10k balance and still do not have the title for my car. Mind you I have also never missed a payment. Customer service is completely incompetent.
