The car owner communicated well and the vehicle was great. We did have an incident that badly flavored the whole experience. During our rental the trunk latch stopped working. It was slightly inconvenient but we had small luggage so it was not too big a deal. The owner said she was turning it in per Turo contract as damage. Turo charged $500 on our credit card without contacting us. Thankfully the owner is honest and when it was covered by her warranty she told Turo and the $500 was refunded to our card. Again, however , without any communication from Turo to us. With a regular rental company the car would have been replaced by the company so as not to inconvenience us with a normal wear and tear issue that we did not cause and only happened to stop working whilst we had the car. I probably will never rent from Turo in the future after this incident.

First time using Turo was a four day rental from MSP. The service saved me time and money, though the app can be slow and wonky. Pavel L gave us excellent service. His 2017 Passat was clean and delivered curbside and on time. Drop off was just as flawless.

Turo is great! I get to test drive other people's cars. There are so many options of vehicles to choose from. Whether I want to Ball-out for a couple of days or take a drive up to Mulholland Highway, I can find a vehicle that suits my needs. I don't own a car personally, at this moment, so Turo offers what I can afford.

Honestly it was great, but I think that was due to my car's owner. She told me where to go at the airport to get to the car, and she sent me exact steps on how to use the valet at the airport so I could make my flight with out any issues. She sent me text messages, the turo app didnt notify me when she sent messages in the app.

My hosts, Maggie and Alex, were flexible and fair. Beware pushing the "refund" button, as it may take up to 10 business days to get that refund. I spoke to several different agents, but none of them were able to expedite the refund process. I still renting a car through Turo, but I wish that there was a disclaimer informing the consumer about delay in refunding money. After I rented the car, my family and I had a great experience and my hosts made it a good first experience as well.

The service was super easy and convenient. I was really happy to see that I could pay with my debit card. Unlike with a normal rental agency, I didn't need to use a credit card with a large hold. I'll definitely use Turo next time I rent a car!

It was a good experience overall. However, since I am new to driving an electric vehicle, it would be helpful if the owner gives us more information on daily operations, for example, a more detailed video. We let the car being charged at the station without realizing there is a charge for idle time if the car is left at the charging station past the time. It would be helpful if the owner would call instead of texting us to warn us.

Wonderful experience and at half the price depending on the type of car you prefer. The car was located in a very convenient location and was full of gas and clean. The drop off was more than you get with at typical rental for they met us at the airport so all we had to do is pull our luggage and head for check-in!!

Loved the Tesla, loved our vacation, loved the looks we got when kids popped out the back seat. Did not like the reception we were met with at Turo pickup in an obscure location. A better topical map defining area, taxi pickup, etc would have helped with our maiden voyage. Did not get any direction with first time Tesla driving nor did they want to show me. I had to figure out how to put car in drive. The rest is history.

I had some issues with the host and the turo support helped me but not enough. The host promised me a $60 back due to the late pick up and while using the car the windshield wiper took off on our road and we bought a new one for him. After that when i returned the car back the host charged us with extra miles usage and that acceptable. But the thing is he rejected to give me the $60 with the windshield wiper cost $13. So i reached out to the turo support and he said i did not promise him with $60! In the end we came up with a refund of $60 without the windshield wiper cost but i paid after all.

We have used Turo several times all with good experiences until our most recent last week. We rented a van for a quick weekend trip to San Diego, which I immediately communicated to the host Thomas A. In Tempe AZ. One tire separated 40 minutes into the trip. Host NEVER answered numerous texts, even though he has a 1 minute response time noted on his profile. Long story short we bought a brand new tire and he has yet to reply. Brakes/rotors were a concern driving in hills. I feel he knowingly put my families safety in jeopardy. Very shady host. I encourage renters review all profiles closely. With this host he had hundreds of trips but several negative reviews ifor several cars in recent weeks. Turo should actively research all safety concerns and suspend vehicle rentals until they are rectified.

Had an awesome experience renting a cool Jeep Wrangler in Houston, TX with Carlos!!! You can see from the other Turo reviews that it is all about the Owner- Good ones=Awesome Experience. Carlos was very responsive at all times and helpful. So much better than Hertz!!!! We needed a little help with the Jeep Soft Top, and he was there for us! Only reason I gave Turo 4 Stars was that the app was confusing because it required a 24-hour trip, and ours was less. I couldn't find a way to end the trip early.

Turo was great. I really like that I can choose my specific car instead of renting some mystery vehicle. I also like that I can rent everything from econoboxes to supercars and most are cheaper than a comparable rental would be. I would like to be able to message owners without having to pay first. Other than that, i really like Turo.

Turo was a perfect answer to have a car for just 1 day on Maui, without all the extra fees and taxes! Dropoff was only a short block to public bus stop to return to famili’s home. I really like Turo. So far, my personal experience with landlords is extremely positive. They are always very friendly, flexible and comfortable in time. But my friend used Turo, and one of the owners decided to make money on it at the expense of Extras, Turo correctly solved the situation, which in the end my friend was satisfied.

Me and my girlfriend used the app to rent a car for our quick vacation to San Diego from Los Angeles during Labor Day weekend. It was a fantastic experience, the car we rented was in amazing condition and drove wonderfully. We were able to ride in style, and had a lot of fun. Would recommend to friends and rent again.

Communication with the car owner was excellent. He was responsive and obviously familiar with the app and what we needed to do to make changes in pick-up/drop-off locations. I gave the experience a 4 because it took me a bit longer to figure out the app then I thought it would and ended up sending a couple of messages via text before figuring out how to update in Turo. User short-coming.

Worked out great! Car was not fancy, but got us where we needed to go and having unlimited mileage was so nice! We did have a short taxi ride from airport to pickup location. Sam was very responsive and his associate even gave me a ride to the airport for my return flight when the taxi did not come on time. Definitely will book again!

My first Turo experience was with Brian's 2017 Mustang GT. Car was in great condition and the entire process from Check-in to Check-out was hassle free. I was sceptical of how strict of an inspection would be done in the end and whether there would be expenses imposed for small reasons but that wasn't the case.

more filters on car selection - ie airport delivery (no charge or charge less than $25) overall my experience was great - very easy, informative and timely. I returned my car early (confirmed with owner - no problem). Even though I followed the return procedure on the Turo app, it didn't reflect that the car was returned nor a receipt issued right away which I would expect. It was only after the original return time that I received notification. I'd prefer to know all is complete - esp as I was headed to the airport and had no recourse or opportunity to address missing info.

I've rented from Turo twice both times were good, the most recent particularly terrific. We rented a car at the Salt Lake City Airport, it was in the parking lot close to the exit so super easy to get it and drop it off the same way. I will use Turo whenever I can.
