It was great! I just wished the app would have allowed me to still drive the car and deliver it, even though I was running late (Turo GO). I know it's no one's fault but my own- I had requested an extension, owner didn't reply or accept the extension. I tried using the app to drop the car off, but it wouldn't allow me to. Had to re-book the car over so I could get into it and drive. Other than that, the Turo App itself has been wonderful. This goes for the support as well. As I talked to an agent to assist me with the return. From start to finish, Turo is awesome!

Turo has been a wonderful discovery! I love that the prices are generally lower than those of a traditional rental company. I love being able to pick out the exact car I wish to rent. And the ability for airport door service? Awesome! No crazy shuttles or rental car lines! Every person I've rented from has been professional, communication has been prompt and clear, and the cars have been as advertised! I'd highly recommend Turo!

Was nervous at first using Turo. Not any more. It is so easy. Plug in the destination, scroll through the available vehicles, select and request a reservation, then show up. I had pre-arrival emails with the vehicle provider to coordinate the hand off of the car, and it was seamless from there. Much easier than using an airport rental car company. I will never go back to that way of renting a vehicle.

One thing I didn't like was being blindsided by additional charges. I told him it was muddy where I was going. I laid down towels but it wasn't enough. After I left him a stellar review, he hits me up for more money. They should post cleaning fees upfront and not surprise you. Also the insurance is misleading stating that my current insurance was not sufficient and that I had to buy insurance, which I did. Only afte you've finalized the bill. Then it tells you/me that my insurance is primary and liberty is secondary. That part off the website is misleading.

Turo is awesome and a great idea for younger car renters. It had a wide range of affordable options available for my trip in hawaii. My host delivered my chosen vehicle to me free of charge, I had a mileage limit but it was more than enough. Communication was easy and timely. You are able to choose from a variety of car options and some even may include other optional things for rent such as beach chairs, surf boards, camping gear, etc. App is very user friendly.

For a first time user, we had an overall positive experience. The car was great except for a bit of a funky smell, not necessarily offensive, just odd. Only suggestion at this time I can think of is to provide the names and addresses of a couple reasonable car wash places near the drop off point, so renters can be sure to utilize one that is convenient if need. Thanks for making our Turo Trip memorable! We'll refer people and also probably use you again when our travel requires it!

With a last-minute need for a rental car AND not able to use a car agency at LAX ( due to previous plans), I had no idea what to do. When I “Googled”: rental car delivery Los Angeles ( using several different word combinations, Turo kept coming up. Suspicious as many are of Internet “promises”, I cross-checked Turo with Trip Advisor and BBB. Also referenced reviews. Then, with fingers crossed, proceeded to rent Art’s Ford Fusion..... So thankful because all steps of process “fell into place” and our vacation was salvaged and actually enjoyable. Whew! Thank you! Will recommend to friends, not foes.

My experience with Turo was superb! The turn around response to my request was immediate (less than 30 minutes). My host was extremely accommodating and very much available to answer any questions or concerns. The vehicle was clean and drove smoothly and comfortably. Turo is the absolute best way to have a vehicle when you travel, or if your car breaks down at home and needs extended time in the shop. Easy to set up, great people to work with. We’ve been picked up and dropped off at the airport without the hassle of rental car companies, and had a reliable vehicle for a very reasonable fee while ours was repaired. There is no reason not to use Turo when you need a vehicle.

I have been using TURO for over a year now and I have for the most part have had great experiences. The hangups have been caused by lack of communication on the hosts behalf with TURO. TURO customer service has generally gotten to the bottom of the issues or have made up for it in their customer service department. If you don't have a regular car rental place near you, TURO is a great alternative. Some hosts will even deliver the car to you for a fee.

Flying by airline into Vancouver or Venice I suspect there are easier ways to rent a car, but in places like Bryce Canyon Turo is a godsend. It connects somebody like Cary D. with cars to rent with pilots like me who want to rent them. After a few years of me renting his cars, Cary and I have a nice relationship even though he leaves the car at the airport and we haven't met. The folks at the airport make it work well.

Your website is easy to find the kind of car and to schedule. I am satisfied. The host is not complicated to transact business, I am satisfied. My only concern is the car I rented was messy, seats are dirty, trunk, dirty and smells cigarette inside. One tail light is busted, wheel alignment is scary, when I hit a pothole, it wiggles. kinda dangerous. The amount I paid for is affordable $23/day and rented for 5 days. Used only for Dr's appointments and errands. That is the only negative about my trip. Thanks.

This service was so easy to use. I found the car at the price I could afford and booked the car. The person who owned the car was very nice and made the experience that much better. He even left me a bottle of water for my trip as I was leaving straight from picking up the car.. the vehicle was a pleasure to drive as well. Very well maintained.. This was a very good experience mainly because I was able to get a car that I would never be able to rent from a traditional rental company for a very good price. One piece of advice, before you commit, make sure that the car is located close to where you are and/or there is a decent delivery/hand-off method. I had to Lyft 30 minutes to and from which added to the overall cost. It was my first time, so next time I will try to make sure of that.

Overall, it was much less than going with a traditional car rental company. We had a good host so we were provided with a step by step as far as where to go and what to do once we arrived at the airport and once it was time to drop off the car. I will say that it's important to factor in the additional tax that some host charge because the tax will cause your overall cost to be a little higher than what you are seeing. Also, know that you will be asked to share your personal ID with the host, this was strange for us particularly since we weren't given any personal or business info for them, so that's something to keep in mind and be sure you're comfortable with. Lastly, pay attention to the mileage on the car that your getting, because that will affect the way the car drives long-distance or in areas where there are lots of hills.

The vehicle and pickup were perfect. The customer service for IT assistance was a huge hassle. I ordered in the weekend and because TURO is based in California my credit union rejected the transaction. I had to wait until Monday to fix this and wait in hold for hours to get ahold of someone who actually knew how to add my promo codes back becayse they had been"used" although the transaction never processed. Two simple things can fix this because apparently this is a common issue cards being rejected. Making a note to inform customers to inform their bank that a transaction coming from California or out of state will be processed from Turo and that it is approved. Or changing the system so that when a transaction does not process that the promo codes stay applicable. Or both. Or even better allowing the transaction to wait and be attempted again once our bank approves it. It made me start a whole new transaction and was a huge hassle most would just give up and use a rental car company.

Turo had charged my card before my trip basically when I booked it when it clearly stated that my card would NOT be charged until my trip ( or maybe it was after). It was not stated "at the time of booking". Also it would have been nice that when I picked up the car that I would have been forewarned it was going to cost 15.00 to get out of the parking lot. The owner was very communicative except about the 15.00 parking charge. I was told to wash and vacuum the car which probably should be the job of the owner. I actually had to vacuum up other people's messes. I felt like I had to keep checking to make sure I still had it rented because i saw alot of reviews that said the owner cancelled the rental leaving the renter high and dry. There should be some financial guarantee that this does not happen as it would be alot more expensive to rent a car for the renter of the car. When the person who owns the car for what ever reason they cancelled the scheduled rental. Maybe it was a better paying rental who knows but there should be some financial compensation to the person renting the car if this happens so the person who owns the car doesn't cancel unless some unforeseen event like the car was in an repairable accident or something then they would have to supply proof Your question below have I ever been a paying customer of turo. This a weird question because I would not be filling out this survey if I had not been a paying customer of turo. I just paid turo . Does this count as a paying customer? I did not get the car for free. This was my first time renting. So maybe your question should be not counting this rental have I previously rented from turo. That answer would be this was my first rental. So i am marking no for that reason.

I rented a car to drive from Houston to Galveston so that I could go see the ocean and swim in it for the first time. I had an amazing time I also had a pretty awesome car at a very reasonable price. What a delight to find this app. I was visiting relatives in the USA without a car for several weeks. Prior to finding Turo I rented from three different car rental places. It cost me a FORTUNE. And then came Turo with it's wonderful choices. I rented an older vehicle that wasn't as expensive from a responsive and helpful person. I'll be back!

Easy to use. Great rates. I like that I could purchase affordable insurance. My car owner kept me informed of everything, including the fact that A/C was broken in the car. My only request is that owners need to be upfront about additional charges (i.e. toll roads). My car owner and I worked something out beforehand, but this should also be disclosed.

This is a great car sharing service. I was apprehensive at first but after completing several trips in different parts of the country I am not longer worried. My only wish was that there were more requirements placed on those renting their cars to be sure they are in tip top working order. Tires, lights, wipers etc all working. Some owners try and just rent beaters and don’t take care of them. Do your homework and only rent from those with good reviews;).

I had a fantastic first experience with Turo. The car owner was quick to communicate and the car was immaculate. There was some small confusion when my arriving flight was late and I received an automated email from Turo threatening to cancel my reservation, but I was able to quickly confirm with the car owner that there was no need to worry. I think Turo is a great (and less expensive) alternative to the traditional car rental agencies and I would definitely use the app again.

Car was as expected, employees were very friendly, pick up spot was farther than expected. I had a good experience and have no gripes with it other than the pickup spot for the car being farther than I had hoped. I live in Redondo beach and I was under the impression that I would be able to pick up my car in this area but the app wasn’t specific with my location and so I ended up driving all the way to Venice to pick up my car was was a hassle. Also, I feel like for what I ended up paying overall I probably could have rented from a typical rental company and perhaps gotten a newer car than what I drove with Turo. I had an overall satisfactory experience I just don’t know that I saved money compared to going with a rental car company.

My wife and I have used Turo three times now and all three went perfectly. Very smooth pickups and returns of vehicles made travel a breeze and reduced stress. I found the website and the communication to be better than the normal Rental Car Companies. Best of all the car I picked is the car I got. Not the normal I rented a Cadillac but all we have for you is a Chevy line the rental car companies sell. I recommend Turo to anyone who doesn't want the same old same old experience.

It was a great experience renting with turo. I didn't even have to meet the owner of the car. He left it in his driveway with the key inside. I just had to inspect the car before i drove off. The only minor issue was the fact that i had to take the car for détail before driving to my évent Dropping off the car still i didn't meet the owner. Great convenience and great value. I enjoy the variety of price points. I was able to rent a 2009 Civic which is a vehicle I was accustomed to driving which made me feel comfortable driving in unfamiliar areas. I was able to conveniently pick up and drop off the vehicle at the airport. Running short on time I was able to text the owner and hand her $20 for gas instead of stopping for gas and delaying the drop off time. I’ll definitely keep using Turo

Only negative is the new 100mi limit which is new from the last time I rented. In California you can't even even go to the beach and come back in 100mi let alone have milage to return the car. Almost doesn't make sense to pick Turo over a rental car company with unlimited miles. Still giving 5 stars cause of the car selection, but it's unlikely I'll be able to rent again in California given the milage restrictions.

I wish more people knew about Turo. I have rented the car twice, once a Mercedes and once a BMW for fraction of the price I would have paid with the car rental folks. Both times experience was amazing- even though I was really apprehensive in the beginning since it was a car from a person just like me, but my fears were unfounded. This was my first rental with Turo and I couldnt ask for a better experience. I chose an inexpensive car since I was looking for simple transportation from the airport to a workshop I was taking south of Indianapolis. The car was parked in the easist spot just outside the baggage claim doors. I returned it to the same location. No rental car lines or buses to offsite location. It was so easy and the communication between me and the renter was simple. I really look forward to using Turo on all my golf trips!

This was our first time using Turo and it was perfect! We rented a beautiful car that is not available through traditional rental car companies but at a competitive price. But the best part was the convenience - they pick up and drop off are right at the airport. No rental car shuttle, no lines, no paperwork - it was wonderful. The entire experience was stress-free and convenient. Juan communicated regularly with me. A driver met me at the airport terminal upon my arrival and Juan met me promptly when it was time to drop the car off upon departure. I had my first experience with Turo at the LAX location to celebrate my 40th birthday. It was an easy and streamlined process. The host of the vehicle and attendants were helpful, with any questions that I’ve had. Be aware of any damages to the vehicle and capture detailed photos for yourself using the app. I did had to cancel a vehicle before booking another and Turo’s guidelines are as transparent as can be. Overall my experience was great and will definitely be using Turo in the future.

Overall it was a very good experience. First time I've used Turo so didn't really know what to do. Realized I had to download the app to check in and out and had to communicate with owner a few times which was fine. The instructions for the process were a bit confusing and not very detailed, but I was able to wade through them and figure things out. The owner has quite a few cars in his stable at an off airport site which is in an industrial area and pretty dark at night. Not sure I would have been very comfortable with pickup and dropoff if I was a single woman doing it. One downside is having to clean the car before you bring it back. I went to seven different car washes and they were all closed or wanted $50+ to clean. That's always included in a rental car which makes it much more convenient when you're in a hurry to drop off the car. Overall, very good experience and I'd use them again.

I found my first rental with Turo to be good experience. I rented a Tesla Model 3 from an individual in West Palm Beach FL. Having someone meet me and hand off a car without any of the usual shuttles to rental offices and uncertainty about the car I was getting were the main priorties and Turo eliminated both of those typical things. Cost was transparent. Will use again on my next trip.

Website is easy to navigate. There are a few minor tweaks to the filters and display of results, but they don’t take away from the experience. Once the trip is booked, Turo is very communicative, with plenty of alerts to keep you on track. Chat function is easy and effective. A little pricey for the service it provides. Will definitely use again.

A rain-out on the last day caused me to be at the airport earlier than planned. Melvin's wife met me at the airport gate at the agreed upon time. Everything worked very smoothly. This service beats rental car agencies hands down. I'm never going back. Here's a couple of obvious reasons - get a car at the airport right outside of the baggage claim, you actually choose the car you want (vs getting suckered into something else), and the Turo owners/drivers have always been stand-up people. Kyle -the person we rented the car from - was helpful and forthcoming with explaining how to pick up the car and return it.
