I have had USAA insurance for along time! I have never had a problem until I was in an accident with someone that also had USAA. It was determined that I was not at fault.It was very difficult to reach a supervisor and it was very difficult to get my medical paid. I asked for a call back and never received a call back.

They have not dropped me from receiving car insurance after like 20 accidents in a 2-year timeframe. My monthly premium is a mortgage payment. So my premium could be lowered but it's my fault for having so many accidents

When I call for insurance questions, they always do an insurance survey to be sure I'm covered at a good rate. I check auto and home insurance rates regularly and compare them with USAA rates. I have found them consistently equal to or lower than most other companies in their category.

I have used USAA for many years. I have not had to use it much, but once my car was damaged due to a hurricane and I was still evacuated in another state. A representative was able to go in person to check on my car and evaluate any damages.

I was in an accident where the other driver totaled my car. USAA was extremely helpful and patient, as I was starting a new job the next day. They were great about getting me a rental car, and since I was so busy with moving and a new job etc that week, they were so patient and kind. The coverage options are also fantastic.

I had them for about 20 years. I only changed becaue my husband wanted to use his policy which was with another company. I was very happy with my car insurance policies with USAA. Their on-line and phone customer services were excellent. I felt their insurance rates were fair and policies were easy to read and understand.

As far as customer service, they are TOP-NOTCH!! Their premiums are higher than most, but the coverage is good. BUT once you file a claim, even the smallest, your rates skyrocket. A family member bumped the rear bumper of a 1993 Chevy Cavalier with nearly 300K miles on it. Literally, the car was probably worth $100. The young man driving said another driver sideswiped him and he just took the check and never fixed the vehicle. Our vehicle had ZERO damage. Not even a scuff. The other driver's bumper had a small dent. USAA paid them $1000 for the bumper and our insurance premium was raised $103 per month. After that happened, we went through a broker who found better coverage for less than our original premium we had with USAA. Also, only military families can join USAA, making it sound like they are doing the military men and women a favor, but in all actuality, it cost us more.

We have tried a few other companies but USAA beats them all. They are always so polite and helpful. We have had quite a few accidents in the last couple of years and they have always been prompt in getting our vehicles fixed right away and addressing issues when they arose.

I have been a lifelong member of USAA for over 55 years. They are without a doubt the most efficient and service oriented company of its kind in existence. Granted they only allow Military or ex-Military members, but once you have enrolled you are set for life. Rates are fair and service is always courteous. I would not have it any other way.

I have had USAA for several years before I decided to switch. During that time USAA has had amazing customer service, but has been fairly expensive. So I'm giving it 3 stars because they are expensive and they do not know what they are talking about. The last couple months I had USAA I had some issues with the bill and each representative I talked to could not explain to me what the problem was with the bill. They kept having to get another representative and overall they could not help me lower my bill because for some crazy reason, the last premium they calculated was for 5 months (instead of 6) and they could not help me at all by making it 6 months again, no matter how many times I called and tried. We switched because they were unclear about explaining the bill every single time.

The reaction time to investigate and settle was outstanding. When asked by other insurance companies who we use and say USSA...they back away.

I have had USAA since I was born! My father has it and it was passed down to me. I absolutely love them! When I fell into a financial slump they were very generous and willing to work out another payment plan with me! I surely do appreciate it, times get hard, people fail and fall into slumps... So nice to have a company that cares about YOU!
