The company is known for its high-speed internet, visual voicemail, and cloud-based VoIP.

RingCentral doesn't just offer you a VoIP service app to make Wi-Fi-based calls. As a UCaaS company, it offers internet-based voice calling, bundled together with dozens of extra communication tools to make all types of contact easier: phone calls, business SMS messaging, phone systems solutions, automatic call recording, unlimited calling, international toll-free calling, and video conferencing for online meetings and training. You can leave your landline phone behind and upgrade to RingCentral's cloud-based virtual PBX and management systems for business. All four plans come with similar features, but the rate goes up for additional bundled services added. The RingCentral pricing plans are tiered so that companies with more employees pay a bit less per user. The company offers monthly or annual billing, with cheaper rates for those who are able to bill annually. As a note, if you are planning to have more than 10,000 users, pricing may be different.

You should also know that RingCentral doesn't charge activation or cancellation fees for their business VoIP phone service.

Free Trial

As the company's pricing model has four tiers, each consecutive plan comes with more toll-free and calling minutes, along with collaboration tools, than the last. That being said, the first two tiers are low-cost VoIP options.

The Essentials and Standard plans do not come with automatic call recording capabilities. The flaw here is that you have to pay for a more expensive Premium plan if you desire any of these features.

We should also note that the first tier, Essentials, is only available for up to 10 users, and only includes 100 phone minutes in the monthly plan, so it would only really be a viable solution for small business owners.

The Bottom Line

RingCentral is a recommended VoIP provider. Not only has the company proven itself with a large customer base and a vast amount of business experience; it also offers flexibility and transparency that are sure to please.

Any customer will enjoy free activation and a wide variety of special tools, easy setup, and ready customer support. In particular, RingCentral is exceptional at being upfront with information pertaining to pricing and the logistics of activating your VoIP system. The features offered for tiered plans include a desktop app, smartphone app, video conferencing, cloud PBX, a number of toll-free minutes, and much more.

For clients who prefer a contracted phone system or who might want a low-grade VoIP system for personal or residential use, this company may not be a good match.

In the end, the flexibility of the tiered RingCentral Office options, including bundled VoIP phone, unified communications packages, and the many features that come with the services will suit a variety of both small and enterprise-level businesses.

We had horrible service with Ring Central's Voip. The phones kept dropping the service, our internet kept going down. This wasn't the exception to the norm, it was happening everyday, every hour! We'd call the tech support, who blamed it on our internet provider. The internet provider would come down and check, talk to the tech support and say it was not them. We told tech support that possibly one of the phones we bought from them was faulty. Nope, they said that was the first item they checked. They kept insisting it was the internet provider. Amazingly we changed phone systems and all issues stopped immediately. When we notified Ring Central that we were stopping service with them, they asked why. After hearing our complaints, they said maybe one of our phones was faulty, and who did we get it from? We told them the phones were purchased from them. After that, there was no comment. I would not recommend using their service or products.

The sales pitch they give are incorrect. I have multiple area codes I can not call. They blame it on cell providers. Had contract. Added extra lines when need and Ringcentral auto renewed my 2 contract with 3 extra lines. The only way I be able to remove them is paying entire 2 years for each LINE! Then when to month to month. The Ringcentrals fees went up to be more expense for 3 less and more expensive.

Our company has lost thousands of dollars each day due to continual issues with the RC system and spent hours upon hours with the incompetent staff members who were unable to solve our issues. We eventually found ways to solve and workaround the seemingly unsolvable issues on our own until we switch to a different service. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
