I reached out to Alleviate Tax with a very heavy heart. I had so much on my plate with very little, if any room for anything else. Dealing with very little finances and so much debt, tgat aline with tax debt, I felt as if I were going to drown... All I needed was a life line.. On this day my life changed. I talked to Myles. When I talked to him I finally felt some relief and less pressure . I began to breathe a lot easier because he advisedthat he would help me to over come this issue. Was sold that this was a fresh start programming and the initial call was very promising and sold me on their services and would have options to settle my tax debt. Charged me over 8k to take my case. End result its a payment plan with the IRS. Something that I could have done myself. Instead of helping me alleviate tax put me even more in debt. I could have applied the 8k to the IRS and put myself in a better situation. I will not use Alleviate tax in the future or advise them to anyone I know.i will also make others aware to make sure they know what they are getting info to before signing up with Alleviate Tax.

Alleviate impressively managed to settle my close to 43K debt for less than $300! Yes, you read that right $43,503 debt settled for $275. This remarkable settlement was NOT due to chronic medical condition or disability as some might speculate. It was achieved due to doubt in collectability based on current / income history, and available assets. Navigating the offer in compromise rules and qualifications is a very tedious process. Let me share some deeper insights into the process: Pros: The day you sign the agreement with Alleviate, they strategically file some paperwork to pause collection and direct IRS communication to client. Alleviate is now in the forefront. Alleviate pricing is very reasonable. They offer interest-free short-term financing as well as long-term options through creditors. I opted for the 6-month short-term plan, which worked well. The onboarding process was smooth and efficiently organized. A dedicated case worker, a case manager, and after an overall tax situation evaluation, I was represented by an enrolled agent to the IRS. Although the intermediary role of the case worker introduced some challenges, I understand Alleviate goal is to keep costs down. Nevertheless, this aspect could be streamlined for better efficiency. Will elaborate more in the section below. The professional guidance I received from a tax attorney, enrolled agent, and tax preparers was top-notch. Special thanks to Stephanie and Matt for their precise planning and thorough responses to my inquiries via email. Matt, as my enrolled agent, did an exceptional job representing my case to the IRS. Cons: You don't get to directly talk to the assigned enrolled agent unless you kind of force direct communication to expedite matters. Initially, the case worker assigned to me seemed to struggle with understanding and relaying accurate information, leading to numerous delays. After escalating the issue twice, the manager took over his/her role but even the manager seemed over-worked, further impacting the timeline. Recommendation: Enhanced training and oversight for case workers could significantly improve the client experience and save everybody's involved time. Overall: Based on the amazing result I received for my debt, I have little to complain about, and I see no rating other than 5 stars as fitting. Thank you!

I contacted Alleviate Tax along with several others to resolve my tax issue. I worked with another company but the IRS kept coming back to me for the tax owed even though I had payment plans and uncollectable status. Alleviate was very thorough and professional with their service. I worked with Al S as my case manager. He was VERY professional and VERY courteous. I also worked with Grace G and Amber L who were very courteous and prompt dealing with me. They kept me on track through the process while they negotiated with the IRS and did my tax return. They told me it may take 10 to 12 months and it took 6 months. I had a couple of liens placed in the beginning and their legal team were prompt in resolving them. I have nothing but good things to say about their team. Al S was a great help in the process and explained the process along the way so I knew what to expect which was tremendously helpful keeping it from becoming an enormous worry! Thank you Al!

At first, I thought that didn't seem like it was going to work out. Boy, i cant recall myself ever being so wrong. It was my lack timeliness that had brought me to 7 unfilled years, and me not returning a single call, from someone who reached out every day with out fail, telling me that this will all turn out ok, but only if I could help but nothing more just returning a simple call. I was really stressed over what seemed like an overwhelming amount of penalties and interest that had accumulated from unpaid taxes during the pandemic. But after speaking to Alejandro, I was put at ease. completed phase 2 with them today. waiting for the next step. i thought i would be paying atr somewhere from 800 to 1000 for everything. turned out to be a little bit more, but if they can get the desired outcome as they say with the irs, i would still be grateful. Each person situation is different financially and in terms of hardship. our government has to do better at fixing the tax laws for people at the financial bottom of society. my 2 cents i think. there is a section at the end of this survey that asks the question: After six months of working with this company, how much money had the company saved you by settling tax debt? answer: i have been with them less than a month but the ball is rolling and i feel good although on the 2nd call meeting by phone the initial charge for thier representation went up. but rather than deal with the irs i'd take a law firm experienced any day of the week. so i cant answer the last question how much money i have saved i have to wait until i hear from them again on what the irs says about my debt. SO DISREGARD ANY ANSWERS TO MY LAST QUESTION OF :After six months of working with this company, how much money had the company saved you by settling tax debt? its been less than 2 weeks. i was come back with an update as soon as i find out what's going on. so far with thier in house ive saved: 1,395. i still dont have the official status of what the outcome of my case will be. i've saved on fees with atr based on what they said were the original numbers.

I want to advise anyone with a State or Federal tax issue to contact Alleviate Tax before you hire a company that will ask you for full payment up front before work even starts. I had all the facts presented to me that was involved in the process with the first phone call, and I did not have to pay all of the fee up front!
