Not bad if you know what to do. If you are filing an EZ, it is like clock work. But if filing more extensive paperwork than you might want to consult a professional.

I used TurboTax for many years and always had very frustrating experiences with their software. They advertised a free service but time after time after hours of filling out information and dealing with login issues I would be faced with paying a lot of money to submit my taxes or start all over again with another tax service... I no longer use TurboTax.

In general I am happy with TurboTax. Its intuitive and allows me to control the schedule of my taxes. I fear that as my portfolio expands however, that it won’t handle the nuance and maximize my return compared to a CPA.

I used TurboTax for years. I have done my own taxes when possible and TurboTax was a convenient way to do that. I found that it was accurate and would warn of items that could trigger an audit. I stopped using TurboTax because I found other equally accurate and charge less. You can pay for audit defense but never found a need for it.

Started out filing my own taxes with turbo tax and loved it. Then found taxact and I don't know what it is but they always find us a bit more money back too. Turbo tax wording can sometimes be hard to understand and apply to the forms and docs I need. It's also been more expensive for the software too.

I was happy with the ease at which turbo tax helped me with my taxes. I do hope that I was able to get most exemptions that I could but I honestly don’t know if I did. If you know that you are not looking for any extra exemptions then I would definitely recommend.

I've used Turbotax and the Turbotax app to submit my taxes for the past 3 years - I switched from FreeTaxUSA.com. The app used to be a great experience but last year they tricked a lot of users (including myself) into having to pay for an upgraded plan to submit your taxes, I believe I saw a lawsuit about it on Facebook.

TurboTax makes it really easy to do taxes. The instructions are very easy to follow; however, they always say that you can file for free, then they tack on a huge fee at the end. If you don't pay, they delete all of your information.
