Solar Wise is a partner company of Powur Solar. This means that Solar Wise follows Powur’s business model and uses the same products. Each time a Solar Wise advisor sells a solar system, Powur determines the employee’s commission. Solar Wise receives the Powur digital platform and business model in exchange for a cut of each sale.
There is very little information online about Solar Wise itself. Most information in this profile comes from the Solar Wise website, but a few items were found on Powur Solar’s website.
Solar Wise gives its customers the option to finance their solar system with a loan or a lease. This is not an option that all solar companies offer. Loans are funded by third-party loan providers. Typically, these loans are $0 down, and can be paid back from 5 to 25 years.
Leasing is a little different. Most often, when going with leasing, customers get a 20-year lease. At the end of the lease, customers do not own the solar system. However, the cost of monthly payments are usually less than a utility bill, so it can still save the customer money.
Lastly, Solar Wise has a credit repair partnership. If you do not qualify for a loan, Solar Wise can help you boost your credit score in about 45 days. There is a fee of $750 for this service, but it can give you the opportunity to qualify for a loan.
Getting a quote through Solar Wise is incredibly convenient and simple. An estimate can be obtained through the company’s website in minutes. All you have to do is put in your address and share the average cost of your electricity bill. From there, Solar Wise will use satellite images of your home to calculate an estimate.
Once a solar system is installed at your residence, Solar Wise provides 24/7 monitoring through an app. This way, you can monitor your energy savings and check for continued efficiency of your solar system.
Solar Wise has a wide presence across the country, serving 19 states and Puerto Rico, and is still growing. Solar Wise serves the following states:
According to Powur’s website, the company’s products have strong warranties that are competitive with others in the solar industry. There is a 10-year warranty for workmanship and a 25-year warranty for solar panels. There is a separate warranty for inverters. Depending on the inverter, its warranty can be anywhere from 12 to 25 years. Powur’s website claims that the warranty on the inverter can be extended to 30 years.
Note that the Solar Wise website currently has no information about warranties listed. However, as a partner company of Powur, it can be concluded that the products and warranties are the same.
When it comes to Solar Wise, there is very little information about the company online. Solar Wise has no information about what types of panels it installs or what company manufactures them. More information can be found about Powur, the partner company, but it is unclear how much of this information applies to both Powur and Solar Wise.
Solar Wise does have a social media presence, although this presence is new. Facebook and Instagram show the first post went live in October 2021. The company does not yet have a profile on LinkedIn.
The only online reviews that can be found about Solar Wise are on the company’s website — and even then, there are only a few. In the website’s Testimonials section, you can click See More, but this will redirect you to Powur’s website.
When it comes to third-party websites, reviews for Solar Wise are nonexistent. This indicates that the company may be brand new to the industry.
On the Solar Wise website, customers will see various badges and awards. The website claims to be accredited by the Better Business Bureau with an A+ rating. However, this does not apply to Solar Wise specifically. It applies to Powur Solar. As of yet, Solar Wise itself is not BBB accredited or rated.
The website also shows off an Inc. 5000 award, but again, this was not awarded to Solar Wise. It was awarded to Powur Solar. As you can see, these awards are a bit misleading.
Solar Wise may be a new company, but it is backed by Powur solar which is more well known. This can give potential customers some peace of mind. Solar Wise offers services in many states and the consultation process is quick and easy.
Keep in mind that almost anyone can be an ambassador for Powur Solar. There is no clear vetting process. For this reason, we recommend meeting with a Solar Wise representative in person before making any payments.
Solar Wise may be a very reputable company, but with such little online information and no customer reviews, we advise you to use discretion.
We're on a mission to empower consumers to make the best decisions and connect confidently with companies that deserve their business.
