Ihad 2 companies working for my business. The other company won my bid. I received a call from momentum. They went a step beyond to get my business back. They matched almost everything from the other company. The price was the same. The warranty was made the same. They actually beat the other company in the number of panels they could provide. Less panels, larger panels that provide more power. LG panels. Something right? WRONG. LG panels are made in USA and Korea. Beware. Momentum quoted me with panels made over sea. The other company sells panel made in USA. Hum! I contacted momentum to find out why they said these were LG panels but never admitted that they were not made in USA. They said they didn't know that they had given me a quote with these panels. They would resubmit this to their people and get back to me. They left me hanging. I have them a second chance and they lied. Bate and switch didn't work with me. I read all of the paperwork and caught them in a lie. I recommend you read your contract, ask allot of questions and get a second company to compare prices, product, Warranty and workmanship.

It took more than a half a year to operate after the installation. I requested to put the panels even for the look, but it was not, so I asked somebody to come two dummies. It took the longest time to install. The person who came left without telling me because it might rain. The sales person promised me to operate before summer, but it did not happen until the end of October. Lots of issues with Con Edison but Momentum did not help me at all. The customer service was often rude. I wanted to receive the info by email, but they just kept on calling without answering machine message except to tell me to call back, but I work every day and I can't call back during the day.

I thought the customer support was good. We had issues with the day of our installation and we've had multiple problems since with trying to get people on the same page. Every time we call back no one seems to understand what happened last time, you get turned around with different people. But, everybody's friendly when they pick up the phone. They came to the house and I asked them to knock because my wife was resting, and they just barged in and my wife felt very exposed. Without our permission, the guys used our bathroom and clogged it. They also left metal filings, wires, and things like that around the grounds afterwards. So, the installation process is a bad experience. I haven't had any problems with the equipment, it's working well.

Other companies weren’t upfront about their options. Momentum helped me get out of another contract and have been pretty helpful for the most part. The system seems to be top notch. I don’t think it produces enough energy to power my big house. Getting it installed was easy. They came by to do the inspection one day and another they day they came back to put the panels and the inverter on the house and they came back one more time to make sure everything was running right.

Momentum Solar was the very first company to respond to us. Unfortunately, our initial experience included some issues getting support from them. They don't communicate with each other in customer support, so you keep getting transferred to people who don't know what you're talking about - it's a fiasco. The installation process was wonderful. The workers were very professional and we had no issues.

Initial contact and instal was 3. However I was told that a lean would not be placed against the home. A lean was however placed against the home which caused refinancing at a rate of 2.25%a huge headache with a delay of over a month.

Information provided by the company is confusing and in some cases wrong. Needed to do a lot of research on my own and submit a number of questions before I had an accurate picture of what the system was, how it would work, and my expected return. Sales people definitely need training.

The customer service is outstanding. The installation took a long time and there were some setbacks. I have 38 panels on my house to produce enough electricity to power my house. I did some research and it could be done with 28 panels. Their panels aren't as efficient as some other companies.

They were not as proactive as they should have been. The installation process was actually flawless but it took significantly longer for the system to actually get installed than it should have. It seems up to date on the latest technology. I just wish they would have been more communicative about how long the entire process would take.

The salesman who came to sell me the solar panels was very personable. He understood that we were senior citizens and was patient with us. Installation went very smoothly. They came to put everything up, then they left. I think I pay too much a month, so I think they're really making money on me. I wish they would have given me a better deal.

I think they should contact the customer more often, especially in the first couple of months. In the winter I pay $100 and in the summer I pay like $30, so it's not exactly what we talked about. It was supposed to be practically $20-$30 max.

Momentum Solar is the first company to offer me ground installation instead of rooftop. Unfortunately, their customer service hasn't answered all my phone calls and have not solved my issues. The installation process went fairly well, but took a bit longer than expected. The equipment is high quality.

It took this company forever to get me signed up with them. They said they'd get it up in February, but they just got it up and going in June. When they monitored my panels, they noticed one wasn't working properly and they came out immediately to fix it. They're a very trustworthy company.

Salesman was going from rote memorization, but that's okay. Got the information I needed and let him know Momentum was my first company to speak with about solar and that I'd discuss with the 2 other companies coming over and let him know. For the next hour he tried to 'close the deal'. I asked for any literature, a business card, or a copy of the contract they wanted me to sign ... nope ... nothing in writing. He actually wanted me to sign a contract 'to save my place for installation' for 25-years at 5.99% interest but it wasn't 'binding' according to him. WHAT?? It would be funny if it wasn't so sad and a shame that Momentum Solar resorts to forcing people to sign a purchase/install contract to just 'save a spot in line' for an installation - regardless of whether or not you want them as a company! THEN we find out that the price is 'negotiable' because they'll price match. I've got two more companies coming by today - hopefully, it won't feel like I'm in a time-share presentation. I see GREAT reviews about Momentum Installation, but customer service and sales can use some work. GlassDoor shows some employee issues as well .... seems like a 'get rich quick' as a salesman opportunity, at the expense of the buyer. Just be careful folks, no need to sign a contract, especially a 20-25 year contract to 'hold your place in line.' Ridiculous! Do people really buy that line??

Well to start off the Rep they sent was 30 mins late and when he got here blamed the company cause the small car they here him use. Being he was late that put me behind. He gave the information about the company and we started doing the finance part and he was telling me how the tax credit will lower the payment. Telling me that the credit was 26% but if the system was installed before the end of the month it would be 30%. Then he was telling me about the payment, well he said it lower then what was in the printout but the printout (e mail) was the loan agreement. I called him to make sure about the payment and he said it would be lower then what is says. WEll its not but I understood what I signed and the payment. But he did not know and told me the wrong payment. The install went well, they started and did not finish the first day. So they said they would call and setup another day but came back the next day. It rained the 2nd day so did not finish and said they would setup another day. The next day they install crew called and ask to come back and finish that Sunday so I said sure. They did finish Sunday, and told me some one would contact about the system. Well 3 day later the company called to setup and appointment to finish the install. I told them it was done on Sunday and they said oh they didn't let us know. But we are waiting on the electric company to inspect. @ days later the electric came to inspect and me why they did not turn the system on, well like I know that so he turned it on and it works good. Not the best sunny days yet but it works good and its not summer yet. But in short the company is good just need to get someone that knows what they are saying about the payments and explain Tax credit better.

Momentum Solar This is going to be a complete review of the company Momentum Solar. I will be just and honest with the review. At the beginning of the year, we decided to go solar. We contacted Momentum Solar and we made an appointment with Mr. Rodney W (Solar Consultant) who gave us a good orientation even though, I did my research beforehand. The system they wanted to install was the Micro Inverters but I decided for the string inverters with the Sunny Boys inverters and having the option of drawing power if the grid goes down. We contracted Momentum Solar for the Solar System installation. The installation crew was amazing and they knew what they were doing. The installation was completed, and we were just waiting for the county to approve the installation, and the electric company to install the NET meter. Everything was approved and Momentum Solar sent two employees to fire up the system. All good, everything running as plan, first bill came in and since then I have been paying only the fees and other charges that the electrical company charge every household. I wrote an email to the Customer Service Department on May 9, 2018 because the contract arrangements have not been fulfilled. They told us that Momentum Solar will be monitoring the system to determine if the system is fully functional or if something was wrong. They also told us that we will be able to monitor the system from the panel and with an app. When the system was completed and fire up, no one explained to me how I was going to read the energy production, how I was going to monitor the system to make sure it was working, and how to get the app that they promise for me to monitor the system. Mrs. Gabrielle M answered the email on May 10, 2018 and she advised me that she was trying to find a solution to my concern. She supposedly referred the email to service manager and she was waiting for him to respond. From that email, I have emailed her on June 10, July 17, and July 18. In the last email Mrs. M asked me for clarification on my address. She wanted to know which address was mine because they had two different addresses with my name, so they could come and activate the system????? Mrs. M, my solar system have been active and functioning since the beginning of the year. I only wrote one address on the contract papers. I am only inquiring or asking for your company Momentum Solar to grant and fulfill the contract arrangements and someone to come and show me how I read and monitor my solar system as your solar consultant Mr. W promised. Momentum Solar overall is a good company but their Customer Service and follow up on their client’s complaints are not so good. I give them a poor rating on that department.
