Light Vast is a solar provider that also specializes in roofing repairs and replacements. Originally founded in 2013, Light Vast started as a company that created and installed LED signage, lighting systems and other lighting applications.
Since its inception, Light Vast has morphed into a solar company installing panels on residential and commercial buildings. The company has also teamed up with builders and developers in an effort to install solar panels on new builds and subdivisions.
As of right now, Light Vast strictly services the southern California area helping residents of the state take advantage of the many tax exemptions and energy savings costs.

While Light Vast has been in business for nearly a decade, the company is relatively new to the solar game. Light Vast actually started as a company that provided LED solutions to businesses. That included installing LED Signage, designing and putting together LED lighting systems and even helping businesses with indoor and outdoor lighting applications, including hotel/motel, warehouse, health center, and office building lighting. Light Vast was responsible for the LED fixture design, installation, and then subsequent project management. The company’s first introductions to the solar business model was helping businesses maximize energy savings with LED lighting solutions.
At some point Light Vast transitioned into a solar installation and project management company. That being said, a large portion of its business dealings is in relation to the roofing division. Light Vast both repairs and replaces roofs on residential homes, commercial buildings, and new developments.
Most companies in the solar industry focus entirely on the solar product. Typically a solar company starts out in the energy conservation area, whereas Light Vast had an entirely different service and product.
No Warranties or Guarantees
Solar is an investment. It is an investment in the installation, product, and operation. With thousands of dollars on the line for homeowners and business owners, a warranty or guarantee of workmanship or equipment would be expected. Within the solar industry, these types of warranties are standard.
However, Light Vast does not offer any such warranty on the workmanship or solar equipment installed. Typically, solar companies will offer a 10-year warranty on workmanship and a 25-year warranty on all equipment. Neither is made available to Light Vast customers.
The Bottom Line
With so many options available to California residents when it comes to solar installation, Light Vast will most likely not be a good fit for most homeowners. The Light Vast business model, and the industry in which it has operated in, has been ever changing. There is little to no information about what solar products it uses, and the company does not offer warranties.
While Light Vast will help prospective customers with financing, it is unclear what it will do for clients beyond that point. If considering installing solar, it would be wise to do further research on Light Vast or obtain quotes from other solar providers.
