I had spoken with a lot of solar companies, but Bennett at Sun Run made me feel comfortable with my decision. He explained everything in a way I understood and communicated with me throughout the process. He was courteous, professional and I am very happy with my decision to go with Sun Run. Plus the installation team were really great. They were timely, professional and also good at communicating about when they would be coming and going and what they were doing. Both myself and my neighbor experieced the same issue. All the 'engineering', permits, etc was completed. Equipment and installation crew arrrived at both of our homes, only to see the crew stand around for 2 hours and eventually leaving and taking the equipment back with them. Zero confidence in this company.

The support Company, Trinity Solar/Roofing, was easy to work with and their work was satisfactory. The sales and support staff were friendly, professional and all questions were answered. The work was performed in a timely matter and communication was maintained throughout the installation process. I am awaiting answers on monitoring the Tesla Power Wall as one battery is not reporting to the app. can be monitored via the web on the Sunnov client site.

I was offered multiple checks as a promo of the amounts of over 500, a year plus later I haven’t received any check as a promo and the person that I did everything with named Kamil never responds to my messages I even informed my name was misspelled and he could care less, never responded. I was also told this was through Entergy and I am starting to think this was a lie because if I chose to cancel I am being charged a ridiculous amount of money. Company is non responsive and I believe it was sold to another company and I was never informed

Payment options
Sunrun offers a variety of flexible financing options, including solar lease, power purchase agreements (PPAs), prepayment, outright purchase, and solar loan.
Sunnova offers its EZ Own option, allowing homeowners the opportunity to purchase a solar system with no upfront costs and the ability to pay a fixed amount throughout a 25-year term. Sunnova also offers its EZ Pay PPA. However, it is worth noting that Sunnova doesn’t offer a buyout option for leases.
Equipment
Sunrun offers customizable solar energy systems through its Automated Site Modeling design technology. With this technology, the Sunrun team can quickly design custom solar energy systems from satellite imagery of your home’s roof.
Sunnova also offers customizable solar energy system options that will be tailored to your home and your specific needs.
Installations
Both Sunrun and Sunnova will send a solar expert to conduct an extensive review of your home and roof, allowing them to build a custom solar energy system based on your specific needs. In most cases, both companies will also handle all permits and inspections, ensuring that your home is prepped for solar and that you won’t experience any difficulties or delays in the installation process.
Sunrun offers a mobile app through which you can track the installation process. At this time, Sunnova doesn’t offer a mobile app.
Warranties
Both Sunrun and Sunnova offer a 25-year product warranty.However, it is important to note that Sunrun provides a 10-year warranty for products that are purchased, and a 25-year warranty for products that are leased.
Battery Storage
Sunrun uses a solar battery, Brightbox, which can either be purchased or leased.
Sunnova uses vetted, industry-leading battery technology, such as Generac PWRcell™, Enphase Energy System, and Tesla Powerwall.
