SunPower Master Dealer 

SunPower has a rigorous qualification program for its master dealers. Hooked On Solar is 1 of 25 SunPower Master Dealers located in California. A Master Dealer is only given the title by invitation. SunPower chooses companies that have demonstrated expert knowledge of their service area and local regulations. 

Some of the other requirements include the following: 

• Technical Expertise — All employees from sales to installers have advanced training and certifications. 
• Installation Quality — Solar panel installation must pass high inspection quality scores. 
• High Customer Satisfaction Score — The company has to maintain a 90 percent satisfaction rate to retain a Master Dealer status. 
• Strong Financials — A history of responsible financial decisions and company performance. 
  Reliable Support Department — The company must employ a full-time customer service department. 

SunPower by Hooked On Solar holds Class B general and C-46 contractor licensing. The company never uses subcontractors. 

25-Year Manufacturer’s Warranty 

As a SunPower Dealer, Hook On Solar offers the same equipment and service warranties included with all SunPower solar panels. The SunPower Complete Confidence Warranty covers solar panels, solar inverters, racking, roof attachments, and monitoring technology for 10 years. 

SunPower stands behind its panel quality and efficiency by ensuring the power production of your solar panel system will not decline more than .25 percent each year over 25 years. Labor and parts are covered in the event your solar panel system needs repair. 

Physical Design Center Locations 

Customers can visit the Sacramento solar retail design center in Lincoln, California to learn more about SunPower by Hooked On Solar. Three design centers are available to the public. Most solar providers don’t have physical locations for customers to visit. This is a great advantage for customers who want to meet with a solar energy consultant outside of their homes.

The company doesn’t have a page with more information on the solar referral program even though there is a button that says “learn more.” The offers page talks about a Tesla Powerwall giveaway but the contest ended in December 2021. In the blog section, there is only one article written in 2021.

Hooked On Solar should consider spending time updating the information and links on its site to improve user experience and information available to customers.

Hooked On Solar only serves Northern California. Design centers are located in Auburn, Lincoln, and Rocklin, California. SunPower has other solar dealers if you are looking for the same equipment and warranties.
