The Good

  • In-House Installations
  • Multiple Financing Options

In-House Installations

REPOWER America installs solar panels using its own installation teams, rather than hiring third-party contractors to do the job. You can rest assured that the type of service you get when you purchase the panels will resemble the service you'll receive upon installation and inspection. Consistent customer service is also a perk because you'll know who to go to in the event of an issue. Because REPOWER America uses a franchise model, customers get to work with a locally-owned provider that still has the buying power and pricing of a large, nationwide company.

Multiple Financing Options

REPOWER America offers several payment options, including outright purchase, loan, lease, and power purchase agreement (PPA). If you are interested in going the loan route, there are multiple financing structures from different providers to choose from. REPOWER America also offers several PPA products so that its customers have the flexibility to pick an option that best fits their needs and budget.

The Bad

  • Limited Availability

Limited Availability

Currently, REPOWER America's services are only offered in five states: California, Arizona, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and New York. Consumers who live elsewhere will need to find another company to do business with.

The Bottom Line

All in all, REPOWER America is a solid company that offers a number of attractive features, including multiple financing options and in-house installations. However, the company's services are currently only available to residents of five U.S. states.

The San Diego franchise installed our system in March 2017. Excellent customer service when we needed them regarding a "simple for them" adjustment at the solar box/breaker. Every day I appreciate Re-power installation of our solar system.

i have my solar turned on june2017 and i am quite satisfied with my system. My system was finished on time as promised. I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 due to the $130 due in june 2018 (year end bill). I don't know if that's standard for whatever fees socaledison asks but nevertheless its a good company and i am happy with ReSolar.

Our system is about 5 years old and is starting to fail. We have 21 panels; but only 18 are in service. The company is NOT responsive. 5 months ago it took me several weeks to get a return call and a month to get it repaired. Now it is out again, and they do NOT respond to emails and their phone will not accept messages saying the memory is full. This has been going on for over a week. Bottom line, between declines in panel efficiency [which we expected] and loss of panels [which we did NOT expect as we were assured they would fix within 10 days] between the loss of solar power and the cost of our system payments we are NOW paying more than if we had NOT put in the system.

I have worked for the Solar Universe as a contract under Tony C, There was urgent project, and I have joined the team, and worked hard around 8 hrs a day for about month, Then the real drama begins, one day my access to the development information is restricted, and I no longer couldn't access the development kit, I asked what happened, and I got the message "The contract is finished, please send the invoice, and we will sort it out", Okay, I send the invoice, but I didn't get payment, and I didn't get paid for 1 month's hard work. Really terrible experience, and awful company!
