The Good

  • Solar Ownership
  • Certified Installer
  • Impressive Client List

Solar Ownership

Namaste Solar offers payment options that result in solar ownership for the homeowner, including outright purchases and loans. With an outright purchase, customers pay cash for the system and get to take advantage of federal and state incentives. With a loan, customers can have a solar system installed for little to no money down. Loan terms are primarily based on credit score.

Certified Installer

In its time in business, Namaste Solar has installed more than 2,700 stand-alone systems.  The company is widely recognized for its exceptional design and build services, superior safety ratings, and conscientious business practices. These acknowledgements are backed up by Namaste's North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) certification, the gold standard for solar system installation.

Impressive Client List

Namaste Solar has accumulated an impressive client list. To date, Namaste customers include Boulder Community Hospital, Boulder County Courthouse, Colorado Convention Center, Environmental Protection Agency, Naropa University, and Wells Fargo.  Such a long list of major clients is a good indication that the company is delivering as promised.

The Bad

  • Small Service Area

Small Service Area

Namaste Solar currently only operates in Colorado, New York, and California, which a relatively small service area. While being a local provider does have its own benefits, it also limits the number of customers who have the opportunity to do business with the company.

The Bottom Line

Namaste Solar has eleven years of experience in the solar industry. The company is a NABCEP certified installer and offers several payment options.

I found Namaste to be one of the best customer service companies I have ever dealt with. They were a step ahead of me throughout the process. Their installers were a great bunch of young people having an enjoyable time and always willing to explain things to me in a fashion where I could understand. The solar panels have proved to be a better investment than I thought possible. We don't have natural gas here, so we depend on our electric service. So nice to cut our bills significantly.

I think they are a top-class company. I ended up going with their competitor because of the products that had contracts to use and a slightly lower price. However, I would recommend checking them out and getting a quote. They also had a longer wait time, which in the long run is a good sign that people want to work with him in my opinion, but I needed to get it done before the year-end for a tax credit. So my only negative is they are probably not the cheapest company in town, but the quality is high.

Good People, Competitive Price. They kept their promises and the system design and installation went without a hitch. the system has performed well with no issues since day 1. I've had the system about 3 years now.

Great Customer Service. Friendly and knowledgeable employees. We have had solar on our home for the last 11 years installed by Namaste Solar in Boulder Colorado. It as worked perfectly except for the monitoring system which has gone thru several upgrades and improvements.

I waited 5 years to post this review. 5 years ago, Namaste installed panels on our house. The company has nothing but nice people working for them. That is the positive for this review. The company promised that, on average, my system would produce 15,780 kwh per year. First year, it actually produced 14,540 kwh Second year produced 14,549 kwh Third year produced 15,310 kwh Fourth year produced 14,893 kwh Fifth year produced 15,433 kwh Five of five years, this system under performed. I have brought this deficiency to the attention of the owners at Namaste, and they just shrug their shoulders, and say that their calculations are correct, and that some years, the system will under produce and other years, will over produce. 5 years of underproduction, and 0 years of overproduction indicates that their calcuations are NOT correct. After 5 years, I think it is safe to say that Namaste over promises, and under delivers.

NOT BAcKING UP THEIR WORKMANSHIP! Namaste accepted deinstallation and reinstallation of my solar array as my roof needed to be replaced post 2018 hail storm Namaste was not the original installer so I understood that they would not warranty my old panels and equiment. It took, not the 2 months proposed, but 6 months to have the work completed. New rails and squirrel guard were installed. This winter squirrels penetrated the new squirrel guard causing $4800 of damage. Namaste refuses to compensate me for damages = is not backing up their workmanship.
