The sun isn't known for it's presence in the Northwest United States, but when it does shine, Elemental Energy is there providing strong service and excellent solar equipment. Their established presence through Oregon has given many customers a shot at financially attainable solar panels. Their panels come with a 25-year warranty, but make the claim that they will last upwards of 50 years. It's unfortunate Elemental doesn't service outside the state of Oregon because their service speaks wonders.
- Financing Options
If you live in Portland and throughout the state of Oregon you can have Elemental Energy come to your home and install solar panels. These panels, according to the reps over at Elemental, can last upwards of 50 years. Their warranty (just in case you need it) covers everything from repairs to replacements and continues for 25 years (the industry standard).
Let's say you're looking to score some of these panels, get the tax credit, and help the environment; Elemental Energy has some financing options for you. Through leasing or buying outright you can at least get the government tax break. Leasing and loaning allow for a no-money up front, non-hassle agreement, but you won't get to keep the panels at the end of the loan, unless you buy them. It doesn't matter where you stand with financing, Elemental will help you find an agreement that works for you.
Contracts range from 5 to 15 years, and you can choose longer if you end up liking the system. If you have questions about what happens after the contract is up, contact Elemental Energy and their reps (who were extremely helpful by the way) will point you in the right direction.
- No Tax Credits with PPAs
- Online Monitoring
Let's be honest, you want the tax credits when you install solar panels. You get that through their financing options. As of now, there is no power purchase agreements (PPA) in place. This is almost a standard option in the industry. While nothing is in place when PPAs are considered, that doesn't mean there will be changes in the future.
Elemental Energy is a new player in the game, which is why they are so small. Customers of the company enjoy a lot of great benefits of renewable energy, but it's limited to anyone living in the state of Oregon. They are located in Portland, Oregon, but told us about possible expansion opportunities as they grow, but there is nothing certain right now. If you really like their work, you're going to have to move to Portland.
The Bottom Line
Elemental Energy is still fairly young. They don't have a lot of experience under their belts but their deliveries to customers are promising. The reviews from customers are all positive and their 24-year warranty is right up there with the industry standard. Their systems have no moving parts, which provides an opportunity for almost zero failure. This could be a change many companies implement into their systems. If you live in the Portland area, we recommend you check them out.
