This company should be sued and fined for fraud. I just got off the phone with a rep who confirmed I cancelled my cable/boxes two weeks ago, but she says spectrum does not give refunds for any days not used. They charge the whole month upfront and you can cancel after the 1st day into that month and your cable/TV can be cutoff but I still have to pay my entire month - even though my cable was cutoff! How is this legal?????

Spectrum Lawsuit from Rival Windstream: Spectrum accused of employing "scare tactics" on customers. Spectrum is totally unreasonable. Poor customer service, Bill increased from 100.00 to 196.00 as this is unreasonable, they are rude, after having service with this company for over a year, denied me every time for payment arrangements. I requested to dispute my bill as it was also denied. Every month threats to disconnect. Refuse to acknowledge issues and violated my right by increasing bill by cramming and slamming. Filed complaint with the FCC

How can you stay with a company that doesn't care about their senior citizens. How can you afford 195.20 a month for almost basic services. On a fixed income. I do not understand why it costs so much. Their customer services have no compassion at all for the cost either. They don't care if you cancel or not. Well hopefully once their higher costs come into pay people will start canceling and their prices will come back down to a reasonable amount. GOOD BYE SPECTRUM!

Absolute the worst customer service imaginable...had to wait 30 minutes for what they said would be 10 minutes to talk to someone. Our On Demand show kept cutting of saying it had timed off; after reloading twice we had to watch the whole program to get back to where we left off. Gave up, called customer support, what a joke. I will follow what several of my friends have done a switch to HULU, can save a lot of $$$$. Spectrum is a bad choice,hard to contact Customer Service ha ha ha, aka a joke, giving up after years of their sub standard services.

Honestly the Prices are horrible and yet the state of new York has yet to crackdown on them. There customer service is a joke. You shouldn't have to pay more then 60 for internet and cable. they are a monopoly and know they can get away with it. Best suggestions i have for people is this Cut the cord get your cell phone on a unlimited plan and teather it to your pc or laptop a few mounts of millions doing this they will drop there prices and change there attitudes or go out of business.

I been an existing customer for about 2 1/2 years and only get internet. I always get these advertisements to upgrade to TV & internet for $44.99. Just called and they said yes 44.99 Plus 44.99 and all together it would end up being 120 something. I would explain having my service here as only a frustration builder in life. I highly recommend you to go with any other option besides this one if necessary even if it means having slower internet. Obviously I'm canceling I'm moving on. I pray something happens and they go out of business. This is what happens when you allow monopolies

Avoid this company like the plague. Horrible service, charged my 92 year old father 177.88 dollars per month!!!! This company should be shut down and sued. When he had to go to a retirement home was promised 8 different times they would pick up their equipment. Never did , never called nothing. I am going to shout to the roof tops about this company. If I could give them zero stars, I would. Recently, they offered a 7 day free trial, which I decided to try. Nowhere in the offer did it mention that the customer would be charged for whatever days out of the alleged "free trial" they used. I cancelled after about 2 days. When I went to pay my bill, I discovered that they had charged me $21 for those alleged "free days"! Very bad -and illegal - business practice! I will be reporting them to the Consumer and Antitrust Bureau and the BBB!

The Internet and TV service has been fine, BUT (1) They tell me I can't opt out of broadcast TV channels. DirecTV could, why can't they? (2) They tell me I can't BUY the Spectrum receiver instead of paying rent for it EVERY month FOREVER. GRRRR!

I was stuck having this provider because I lived in a small town that had no other options. There service was terrible. During a 2 hours program recording it would stop and start again 5-6 times. This was common. it happened several times a week. The service is expensive. I was paying much more for service then people in a large town 20 miles away. They were paying $160.00 I was paying $250.00 for the exact same services. I will never have them as a provider again.

Charter does this thing where they no longer prorate your bill. So if you go even one day into the next billing cycle when you disconnect, you are on the hook for the entire month's bill. I am now having to pay $138 for one day of service. ONE. DAY. I was not told when I disconnected that this would happen or I would have cut it off sooner. The internet connection was pretty good, and I had every intention of going back to them once I moved back into a service area. But now that's never going to happen. I hope that $138 was worth it.

Almost non-existent customer service. I had poor download speeds (Should have been 100mps) of 20mps. Took three visits to discover that I needed a new wire from the pole to the house. The cable now sits, unburied, for two weeks after 7 phone calls trying to get them to bury it. If someone should trip over their wire and get hurt, I will gladly be a witness to their ineptitude.

After 7 phone calls, with repeated errors, service tech at wrong address, we had to leave town without our security system working due to them. Run don't walk to another provider, they are the WORST. From not communicating internally, to promises of call backs in 30-45 minutes that you never get, they are without a doubt the worst company we've ever dealt with.

My charter spectrum service was cut off a month ago for non-payment. That's fine. I didn't receive any service from them for that month yet they charged me $120 anyway. $120 for nothing. No service provided. Charter stole from my family. I have 3 daughters and can't afford cable any more. So sorry. I definitely can't afford to pay for nothing. Worst company ever. Don't do it!

I switched to Spectrum at my lake house so I could bundle with their fast Internet which I like. However, the customer service for the cable--shame on Spectrum. I have had the technician out 3 times in the few months I had the service. And had to buy additional equipment so I could use the boxes concealed in furniture. Outdated and refurbished equipment and now I find out another box is bad. Just what I want to do, wait for a cable guy when I am at my vacation home. And the cost of Spectrum is high. So disappointed.

The Buy-Out program through Spectrum is backed up for months. I've been calling them for 2 months and they still have no update on when the check will be mailed. There is no customer representative to talk to about this issue as the buy-out reps are not connected to the customers. It's beyond frustrating and I'm getting close to cancelling my service with them and going back to DirectTV.

Since the changeover from Bright-house our bill has gone up over $50 per mo. and have less channels. The Company keeps raising my bill and less channels. I turned a digital box and my bill went up....Just rec'd my bill for month of Feb and bill was increased $2?? service charge went up??? This Company needs a day of reckoning and hopefully will come soon with some real competition to contend with. Until then they will continue to rip us off.....

Got a bait and switch promotion in the mail that they do not offer. It states 39.99 per month for TV and internet when bundled. When you call it is twice that and they say the 39.99 needs to be bundled. Well if the TV and internet for 39.99 isn't considered a bundle, I don't know what else it could be considered. Seems they will give you the service without any channels included and somehow call it TV. They should be fined heavily for this bait and switch nonsense.

Absolutely the worst company to deal with!!! The only reason that I went with them and are STUCK with them, is that their competition in my area does not of the MLB Extra Innings package. I've had nothing but problems with their TV service as the Set Top Boxes that they gave me are brand new and they've had to iron out the "bugs" at my expense and hours on the phone with "Tech Support". When I asked for a credit on my account, they only gave me $10 off my bill for one month. If I could give them no stars, I would. They are absolutely HORRIBLE!!!

I pay for Spectrum Gold Service. Over and over again, I try to access a channel and Spectrum says, "This channel is only available to Gold Subscribers." This is the service I pay for. Tonight I called to complain. I finally hung up when I had been waiting for an HOUR AND FIVE MINUTES and no one at Spectrum had answered. It is a lousy service, which I am going to replace.

They changed the rates on me, and gave me a bunch of grief. I was also on hold for a total of 4 hours and 16 minuets, to be told to screw off. I am canceling both my personal account and my business account. The customer service was terrible, again over 4 hours on the phone. Will never do business again with this company, their cable is crap, the only thing they have that is any good is their internet.

DO NOT GIVE THEM BUSINESS!!!! Very rude. No knowledge of there own packages. I have to call each month and get my bill adjusted because they charge me for random things. EVERY MONTH!!

Horrible customer service, some install techs care some do not. They installed our service but didn't verify that it worked. And it didn't. Customer service gave us a bunch of lyes saying they would be out to fix it. Then said they had issues and couldn't repair the system. A tech that cared finally came out and fixed it. If I had another quick choice I'd tell charter to cancel everything.

We have ben a customer of Spectrum (Time Warner cable) for over 20 years. We started looking at DirectTV now to save a little money. I looked at the Spectrum website and found a deal that was about $50 cheaper than what I was paying but when I call to change I was told THAT deal was only for NEW customers! My 20 years of loyalty just gets me a higher bill! Then when I canceled my TV service the customer support tech argued with me that I would never get all the channels I wanted with out Spectrum. He was wrong.

Worst tv/internet service ever. Was with them for a year while at an apartment. Besides the constant outages, I was charged a $268 fee a year after I closed my account and returned all equipment. I disputed it but, of course, no luck. Now it is on my credit and hurting it badly. They specifically told me that my balance is at zero after turning in my equipment. Poor company! Go with directv or even some noname provider would be better than Charter. Would not recommend Charter to anyone!

We changed from U-Verse for one reason only, price. I have been VERY unhappy with the change. TV channels have been removed with no comment and one DVR means that we can record and watch recorded shows in a single location only. Not that it matters much since EVERY RECORDED PROGRAM, SHOW OR MOVIE STOPS RECORDING ABOUT 5-10 MINUTES BEFORE THE END OF THE PROGRAM. IT IS INFURIATING TO WATCH AN ENTIRE MOVIE ONLY TO HAVE IT CUT OFF 5-8 MINUTES BEFORE THE END!!! WE SPEND A LOT OF EVENINGS WONDERING WHO DUNNIT! MADDENING!

Ugh. Spectrum u have really made me mad. I have cable and internet with one dvr. 158 dollars a month which did seem high but I was willing to pay it. 12 months later my bill goes to 196. I call and they say "oh u were on a promotional deal. We can cancel some of the channels u have so we can cut the price down some" ...I don't want to cut down on channels! U expect me to pay 200 a month for cable and internet?! Oh and the best part! The rep told me that next year my bill would go up an additional 20 dollars. Nope. Done. Bye spectrum.

Sprectum has stated to take over my TV, I set my TV on a certain channel 202 fox before I go to bed and when I turn my TV on in the morning it is now on there info channell 1098 for changing to all digal , I was told I had to reset this channel 202 to my favorite,s and there was nothing they could do, I asked who gave them the right to change my channel on my TV, did not give me a answer to that question, said they were just informing there customers of the change. What a bunch of bull

I can see why Spectrum has the lowest score of all the TV Services. The DVR service is little more than a joke. If I worked for Spectrum, I would be ashamed of myself for putting out such a dreadfully inferior product. You cannot count on Spectrum to record your programs. One day, they are scheduled to record and the next, they are gone and you miss your program. Hard to imagine it being any worse.

I would give a negative score if possible. With the monopoly, there is no other cable choice. The phone never worked, the internet always cut out and the DVRs are the worst in the business. Of course the price skyrocketed. The DVRs are constantly slow and constantly dying. They are designed to last less than a year and you loose all your settings and all material because they will not let you connect an external drive. I am keeping the internet and going back to Dish for the same amount each month. I will get my Hopper back!!!!!

Charter ads does not say what they offer. 39.99 for high speed internet and cable tv. it does not say what speed and what channels. Called to order and the sales person as much as possible try not to say anything in specific and does not bother to give you the details. . A worst sales practice, was thinking time warner was the worst in these type of things.. Spectrum is 2-3 times worst than Time warner. Hate to be their customer, but only cable provider and they know that there is no escape for customers

Too bad I have to give them a star...The service is crap customer service sucks, they give these great deals to new customers then after a year the price gouging starts and continues every year while you don't get anything in return but more bad service. Then when existing customers want to get in on the deals they are told they cant because its only for new customers as if we don't matter to them...and we don't. Stay away from these people at all cost, I just wish we had FIOS in our area.

Since Spectrum took over Brighthouse it has been one problem after another. This company is actually worse than Comcast. I called because on demand has not been working I was told that they are working on it. Weeks later still no on demand and when i contacted them again the restated that there are glitches in their system and they do not know when it will be remedied. They also raise the rates constantly and send me "special" offers but when I call they claim that I do not qualify. Grossly overpriced.

Should be 0 stars! Raised our rates over $50/month from Time Warner. I have tried to reduce our bill 3 times with no satisfaction. The customer service person told me the package we had with Time Warner cannot transfer over to Spectrum, would be at least another $70/month with a Spectrum package. Also seeing more problems with our internet and on demand. Having to reboot daily. I really miss Time Warner!

Spectrum has tons of service to offer but they start at $90-$99 per month then WHAM you get jacked up to $191 per month after the first year. They keep offering $99 and tell existing customers I can lower you to $169. They also added internet charges to my bill that I did not order. They do not care about the existing customer retention even when I said I would go to AT&T/Direct TV.

I called spectrum to see if adding phone would save me money. I still had my Time Warner Cable channel tiers. I was lead to believe that my bill would only go up $20 and nothing was said about any changes in my programming. My bill went up $80 dollars. I had to make three phone calls and my wife went down to there office and we got the rate down to the price I was promised, but they took away half of my channels. If the guy on the phone would have been clear and honest with me I wouldn't have changed anything, but now I can't go back.

My bill keeps going up and I called for some relief the only relief they could suggest is going with there new plan since mine from brighthouse is not honored and will be $35.00 more a month and have to get the hd box for 2nd tv and will lose a lot of channels we enjoy. Spectrum Service is Horrible, their representative offer us less amount bill compare with what we have before. On the end we received higher bill amount, extra installation fees that he didn't disclosure us. Apparently they don't receive amount that we transferred them online payment. The worst we are trying to reach customer service during a month and you have to spend min 2 hours to reach anybody and after that to find out that they can't do anything. We still not resolve our issues, but we will not recommend Spectrum Business for Business.

I have had 6 different people come out to my home and we still have no wifi!! I've requested that 2 supervisors call me and I haven't heard from one in over 2 days. This is the worse service I have ever had. Also when the survey people called to take my survey for the technician it would not let me leave a dissatisfied survey and eventually hung up on me.

I canceled with dish to save money with spectrum. That did not happen. After discussing the 5 channels i needed they installed the next day. I was missing 2. I called after 1hour i got 1 of the channels i was missing for 12 bucks. Called again and for another 12 bucks they will add the missing one! Yea right! I should have stayed with dish at this price! Worse then time warner! Thank god im not stuck in contract!!

I think that Spectrum could be a good choice if they would be fair to their existing customer. My bill this month (9/03/1/) is $131.26. That is for internet and the basic plan with 2 TV's. I don't even get the cartoon channel. Seeing their adds for $29.95 really pisses me off. I don't want their phone service. Tried it in the past and it didn't work for us. My cable goes out quite often, but I am pretty happy with the internet service. Can't wait to cut the cord for cable, will continue with internet service.

They stink. They only offer 60 mps or 300 mps for there internet. If you are a current customer they give you no deals. New Customers get a bundle of all channels plus HBO, CInamax, STARS, etc for 143.00 I had on there mid tier service and they were chaging me 174.00 a month. NoHBO, STARS, REDZONE, etc. If this company was in the NE they would go out of busness. Here in FL they can make sections where you live be just one cable company. No compitetion. Just SAY NO. (unless your a new customer then cancel after 2 years)......

Spectrum changed phone number WITHOUT my permission. I explained may issues as to why they should not, resume out on line, aps on line, and other issues, no one cared. Said this was a FCC regulation and rate center issue. This was wrong. The service level has gone down hill since Charter bought Brighthouse. Looking for another company and will switch ASAP

DO NOT USE CHARTER!!! Our service was in and out for over a month. It would only work for about 30 mins at a time. We were told to call and they would help with our bill. We called and customer service was very rude. He kept cutting me off and saying I never called when my phone record said I did. Very rude and unprofessional. You will end up paying reguardless of if they provide you service. We had someone check our usage and see that we had no service more than half of th month and they refuse to do anything about it.

spectrum has got to be the worst it took me over 2 months just to get my service working and the internet speeds are not what is advertised . if you have any choice other than spectrum then take it .spectrum is not worth the money .they do not have multi room dvr and the dvr will only record about 100 hours then it just deletes everything that is recorded. so don't walk but runaway from this company do not get spectrum you will be sorry.

Spectrum is Awful!!!! I pay way too much for this service. Never any new movies, always constant reruns over and over again back from 20 to 30 years ago. How about some newer ones, there are tons of them out there. My bill goes up all the time , for what, the same old stuff!!! Always some kind of issue with the service too! Not worth it!! And the scary people they have on the commercial saying all other providers are evil, well they are dressed right for the Spectrum commercial, they just need to say that Spectrum is the most "EVIL" of them all!!!

My additional modem line went from $10 a month with TW to $59.99 & is constantly throttled. Forced to upgrade modem for no apparent reason since the speed has not increased(even though the raised the bill for so-called faster speeds) Hours & hours on phone trying to explain that we have 2 modems & 2 cable boxes,,they fix one & kill the other,,been going round & round for over 5 days now. Feel extorted & that they don't care
