I think the actually service was excellent. The scheduling of the service could use improvement. You should not schedule the service appointment until the parts are in. I had three appointments that were cancelled because there was no parts. It created havoc on my work schedule.

The only thing I would suggest as an opportunity for improvement was to improve the time it took to get the replacement parts and set up the appointment for the repairs.

One glass panel was scratched and the weatherstripping was too short so there was a gap at the bottom of the patio doors. The door handle had to be replaced as some of the paint was scratched off. As a result two service calls were required to rectify. The first call the technician was not prepared and had to return to fix the problem. Do you no check the material before it is shipped? .

I've built a number of houses and have been happy with Milgard each time I've used them. The pricing is competitive with lesser quality products. Milgard's quality has been good and the warranty service, when we have had a problem, has been very good even years down the road.

Total lack of accountability for shipping 3 out of 4 defective windows from Portland factory that had to be completely taken apart & rebuilt by a technician. Technician declined to provide a service report - told me Milgard would forward it if I made a request - Lauren said Milgard doesn’t share service reports publicly. Requested acknowledgment that issued were factory related as technician indicated. Sent an email with no acceptance of Milgard’s responsibility for the problem.
