After using Guaranteed Rate for years, the broker I had always worked with left the company. When I wanted to refinance, the new broker I was given was awful. He promised great rates, better than anyone else was offering, but after putting me through the motions, with my perfect credit score and 50% down, he said the rate I qualified for was 1% higher than what he promised, and .75% higher than all their competitors. In the end I wound up working with my old broker and his new company.
