LAST UPDATED: June 28th, 2022

With 17 years in the business, ResponseLink became their own company in 2008. With many years' experience in the industry, they seem to have honed their customer service skills. They offer a very simple system for those seeking medical alert systems in their home, with all the reliability you may come to appreciate in such a company.

The Good

  • Quick Response
  • Affordable Monthly Rate with No Contracts

Quick Response

ResponseLink is quick to respond to emergency alerts, within 30 seconds a live operator will contact the user to make sure all is well. If a verbal response is not given then the emergency responder will respond according to the steps created by the user while setting up the account. This is a huge perk because it allows the user to customize how they want emergencies handled (who they want called and in what order). This provides flexibility to the person using the medical alert system.

Affordable Monthly Rate with No Contracts

They offer a very affordable monthly rate with no contracts which are a huge plus. Having a lockbox outside your house with the key for emergency responders is also a benefit that many other companies do not offer. No contracts and no hidden charges make this company a top-notch option. They definitely seem to have the customer in mind and treat people as individuals, not just someone to make money from.

The Bad

  • Website

Website

ResponseLink's website lacks in providing a lot of information to the interested consumer. In today's busy society, it is very nice to go to a company's website and get all pricing and product information at a glance. However, many other companies charge equipment fees or other fees, but the price of $19.95-$38.95 per month is in alignment with other monthly rates found in the market.

The Bottom Line

Overall, this is a good company to consider for your medical alert needs.  Where the website lacks, ResponseLink makes up for with phone support. If your medical alert needs are very simple, and it is for someone who is fairly homebound, this makes a great option. Keep ResponseLink on your list.

Systems work only 95% of the time, if you value your family member's lives give them proper care not this garbage. no refunds, scare and intimidation tactics are used on the elderly, you'll wait several days if you eve do hear back from them, monitoring center says the wrong person's name when they call, tried 3 times to change my address and they never did get it right

They are TERRIBLE!!!!!! We tell them to cancel....they don't. And they keep trying to charge even after their equipment sent back. And they harrass my mother who is 95 years old about paying..when it was already canceled! There customer service is nice while your a prospect...but once you cancel, they treat you terribly!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!

This company is a senior rip off! Be forewarned if you cancel the service ONE day into a billing cycle they will NOT prorate your payment. What a ridiculous way to make seniors pay for a service they are NOT providing. The service stops when equipment is returned but if that is one day into a new billing cycle you have to pay for the whole month!
