Although HelloFresh offers a variety of meal options, customers will need to be careful if they have any specific dietary restrictions.

The Classic Meal plan can be customized to be beef-free, pork-free, seafood-free, Veggie, Family-Friendly, Calorie Smart, quick, or variety.

However, HelloFresh doesn't allow customers to tailor their meal plans for specific allergies. That being said, the company's dieticians review all meals for the eight major allergens: wheat, soy, eggs, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, and shellfish. Once the ingredients have been identified, HelloFresh clearly discloses this information in the recipe.

It is also important to know that HelloFresh does not offer Keto, Paleo, gluten, dairy, or nut-free meals.

HelloFresh leaves it to its customers to review the ingredients and determine which recipes best meet their dietary needs.

So, I’ve found this great new way to make cooking dinner fun again, and to make eating it even more enjoyable. I started ordering dinner kits from an online company called Hello Fresh. You go online, pick out which meals you want for the week, and they send you a package that includes all the ingredients and directions needed to make a gourmet meal in just a few simple steps. They come with a beautiful color recipe card, with very clear, step by step directions. Plus, most of the meals don’t take any longer than 30 minutes to prep and cook. The Hello Fresh team carefully sources their ingredients to make sure the entire meal making process is environmentally safe and sustainable, and from my experience very fresh. There have been a couple times however, when I had opened my weekly box, and the produce was less than appetizing. Molted greens and some not so healthy-looking potatoes, but the company easily gave me a no hassle coupon for $30 to make up for it. Most companies will twist your arm or ghost you, until you give up, making Hello Fresh a rare gem indeed. One time they forgot the recipe card, and even though I was able to see one on-line, they gave me a small credit for my inconvenience. So far, I have tried many of the 100 different meals that they have had to offer over the past two years, and I’ve tried so many new dishes that I would never have before imagined myself eating, let alone cooking! Stuff like Charred Corn and Pork Tacos, with a lime and garlic flavored sour cream sauce; Sweet ‘n’ Smoky Pork Chops, with cherry sauce; and Seared Barramundi, with apple salad. But my all time favorite so far is, Figgy Balsamic Pork with roasted green beans and rosemary potatoes, and I don’t even like figs! They also have add-on products like garlic bread, fruit, and dessert. You can also add on a wine package, where they pair the wines to the meals, so you have the perfect match. Not only do you get tasty meals from Hello Fresh, but healthy and balanced ones as well. I have saved time by not needing to go to the grocery store, and time in the kitchen because most of the ingredients are pre-measured. Since I’ve been ordering through this company, my energy levels are up, my skin is clearing up, and I feel all around healthier. Overall, I would gladly recommend this company and its products to anyone and everyone who are too busy to cook but are also looking to eat delicious healthy meals on a regular basis. ~DR

We have been very happy with our service so far. I joined to get of the rut of the same dinners over and over. The kids have tried new things and are enjoying it as well. I had an issue this week with one of the meat packages opening due to the ice pack. I understood the issue and I knew the meat wasn’t bad just popped open. My only issue was that it leaked onto the bags and some of the produce. I called and they didn’t have to ask who I was and with my brief explanation was refunded my week. It was the best customer service experience I have ever had. I see in reviews there has been this issue. I hope you figure it out but will keep buying.

The first box I received was so welcoming. I got a 60% off discount, purchased the family feast package with 3 meals. The food was amazing, simple to cook, packaging is great and sophisticated; I was highly satisfied. Then for the following week, I did not realize it was too late to skip the week as I did not have the budget for it. I called asking why it was out for delivery and the guy we spoke to, although he could not do much in that situation, tried to help and was very nice about it. We cancelled our subscription. Then my boyfriend and I realized that the deal we are getting on our Hellofresh box is actually an incredible deal. We decided that we wanted to continue our subscription. Our box was delivered today and we opened it. Somehow one of the meat packages was punctured somehow and the juice was all over the bottom of the refrigerated box and part of the bags, but when we called about it to make sure the meals were still okay to consume, Kevin was so incredibly helpful and provided us spectacular customer service. He was able to give us a refund for our box and we are so grateful for that. Any time that I have called, the customer service has been very great, everyone has been really nice and understanding. They want their customers to be happy and satisfied. I highly recommend HelloFresh to whoever is considering it. Once you receive your first box, you will understand. It is just like opening a present every single week. Moreover, I forgot to pick the meals for this delivery so they picked for me and they actually were exactly the options I would have picked, so if you forget to choose your meals for the week, they will choose the best options. I will continue using HelloFresh. Overall, I have had a great experience and I hope you get to experience that as well!

In general, the ingredients could be more differentiated, but you can tell that Hello Fresh is trying to do that. The app is getting better and better each time they update it, too. The food is friggin' delicious and *very* well-balanced. We have 3x/2wk for 2 ppl - we used to do 4x/2wk but found that one meal always overlapped. The goods stay fresh for about a week, but after that the greens will start to wilt (like REAL food, guys, expect this to happen). Adjusting plans is so dang easy, like, it's a button. You just press it. No hassle. The wine delivery is TOP notch, too. Nothing but stuff I've never seen during cursory in-store shopping; the white wine has been perfect every single time. TL;DR - the most creative and teachable recipes, the FRESHEST ingredients, responsible packaging (they try new stuff all the time, too), and great customer service. A+ 100!

Hello Fresh has revolutionized my household. As a working mom of an 8 year old daughter with special needs, time to meal plan and go to the store are a rare commodity. Ordering out expensive and often unhealthy meals became the norm. As a solution, someone recommended I buy in bulk and cook 2-3 different meals a week that are easy. Sounds logical, but I get so bored and need my food to be exciting! I even tried the repetitive route, but started ordering by the 3rd day out of boredom. Once I subscribed to Hello Fresh, I was able to solve all of those problems in one smart decision! I love to cook so the easy instructions were perfect and of course the variety of delicious meals keeps me excited about dinner every night! A naysayer argued that I could "just" go to the store, buy my own food, and it would be cheaper. Perhaps, but my lifestyle makes that very difficult. As far as the price is concerned, I've definitely saved money by switching to Hello Fresh because it's a fraction of what takeout costs. I've also been very satisfied with their customer service.

My food was delivered on the Monday that it was promised. I had a few questions about billing etc. after my first order and the customer service was very helpful and friendly. I have used two other food delivery services in the past and was disappointed with the nutritional information, high calories, freshness of the ingredients, and was missing ingredients for every single box that I had ordered. Even after calling customer service to bring the missing ingredients to their attention, I left feeling like they thought I was lying. I don't have time to sit on the phone and lie about a missing shallot. With HelloFresh, the ingredients were fresh and NOTHING WAS MISSING!!!!! I think they are smart having a small selection of options each week which really helps with quality control. The calorie sizes are reasonable and the nutritional info looks great to me. I really hope they keep up the good work! This service is super convenient being a busy working professional living in the city!

We started with Hello Fresh last week. We chose to do 4 meals a week for 2 people. As of this evening, we have eaten 5 meals. And we have loved them all! The meals we've eaten: Beef and bean chili Pork chops with mushroom sauce, roasted potatoes and Brussels sprouts Super Soy chicken with jasmine rice and green beans Pork and Thai Basil stir fry Chicken Milanese with arugula salad and squash Pros: 1. Easy to follow instructions. I am not a chef but this makes me feel like one! 2. Convenience... I don't have to drive 40 miles to the store to buy food that I probably won't cook. 3. Fresh ingredients... and so far the meals have stayed fresh up to 5 days after we received them. 4. Healthy... instead of grabbing pizza or burgers, we are eating actual food with veggies. 5. NOT HAVING TO DECIDE WHAT TO COOK FOR SUPPER! I open the fridge, grab a bag, and cook. 6. Good portion sizes. Cons: Only thing I can think of is maybe the price. It's about $20 for a meal for two people. I'm sure I could buy everything cheaper if I went to the store myself, but for us, an 80 mile round trip to grocery store isn't super convenient. So having food literally delivered to our front door is the best thing since sliced bread!

Hello Fresh is a definite yes!! Everything came super easily packaged with clear, concise directions. Not to mention, there was a TERRIBLE storm today, and i didn’t get home til 10:00 this evening and my package was still perfectly intact on my porch! The end result was so delicious. I ordered the 3 meals for 2 people (the smaller plan), but it’s just me so I had dinner and then have an entire meal left over for later in the week. I am thrilled with this experience and will definitely be ordering again!

I have subscribed to Hello Fresh getting three meals a week for about a year now. Overall I really like it! It's super convenient to have the exact ingredients delivered to your door. It's fun and easy to cook with the pictures and instructions. The ingredients are fresh and its generally healthy. My only complaint is the packaging for their chicken. Whenever we get chicken it almost always leaks out of the packaging making a big mess and is pretty unsafe. Other than that - awesome service!

Simple to order from 1 or more of 5 meals for that week. Can pick single meals or 4 meal sized packs as needed easily. Delivery is simple and accurate. Price for first time order was $75 for 12 meals (3x4). I found the meals easy to make and prepare un 30 minutes or less. You need some basic kitchen know-how but thats all to make this work well. I found the sauces, seasonings and glazes the most helpful of all.

This service is terrific for my wife & I... we love to cook, but with two young kids it’s often impossible to find time to choose recipes, shop for all the ingredients, then make a quality meal. Hello Fresh allows us to pick awesome recipes online, have the recipes and all the ingredients & recipes for multiple meals all show up together at our doorstep. The ingredients are always of high quality & the recipes are simple, but delicious. For only $10/ea we get to have a delicious meal & the satisfaction that we cooked it ourselves. HelloFresh has been absolutely fantastic for us! The meals are delicious. The complaints about diet friendly are ridiculous. Why complain about something that never claims to be what it isn’t. Instead the food actually tastes good. The recepies are great and easy to recreate with grocery store shopping. This sets you up very well for the future. We now have “family recepies” that have come directly from HelloFresh. It does seem the market is getting very crowded and we’d like to see HelloFresh offer discounts to loyal customers, but at the end of the day it’s still worth every penny.

I am the world's most unimaginative home cook, so Hello Fresh has really allowed me to make some creative, delicious, and well thought out meals for me and my husband. There's a lot of prep involved (mostly chopping, dicing, etc), but everything's systematically pictured and written out, so it's all good. Plus, it makes dinner time SO easy!! My dealings w/Customer Service have all been positive; there's always a real live person to deal with, which is nice. The food is fresh, bagged all together - it's a non-cook's dream!

My husband and I are both type II diabetics, so finding new food ideas that were healthy was frustrating. We decided to start using Hello Fresh and it has been the best decision! This is my favorite meal delivery service by far. I love the packaging and the meal options - always something to look forward to, and new things to try that were within our comfort zone. The packaging was incredibly intuitive. Instead of all of the ingredients for the week in a box, everything was separated by paper bags, in addition to being perfectly portioned. It was so much easier to prepare a meal when you just grab the appropriate paper bag, and your on your way! For me, the reason I cancelled is that it is not very cost effective at this time. I can see in the future doing it once more, but for a family of two, it is the same cost as going out to eat three times a week, as it is to order the meal delivery kit - without the work of actually making dinner. Overall, I was very pleased and happy with the product, though. When I do want to start up a meal delivery service once more, I will definitely be using HelloFresh.

First impression of hello fresh it does take awhile to get your meals. But once you open the box I was extremely impressed with how well everything was organized. Each meal has a separate bag with its ingredients and detailed step by step instructions. And the meat are at the bottom between two ice packs. My family and I have made two meals so far and we have loved both. The food is fresh and the meals are delicious. The portion size is perfect. No leftover because they give you exact amount of food so it’s all portion controlled and no wasted food which I love. Preparing the food and cooking is super fun and easy because of the detailed instructions, so if you aren’t a good cook or just don’t know how to cook healthy meals this is perfect for you because it explain how to do everything. I love to cook but healthy meals aren’t always so easy to balance it made my life so much easier. It cut down grocery store trips and the stress of what to eat for dinner. So 3 days a week my dinner meals are already planned out for me. So far Iv had a wonderful experience with hello fresh and can’t wait to continue experiencing all the different meals they have to offer. Which is fun at the same time because they put together meals that sometimes you would never think to try. I made Turkey Chili Rellenos yesterday for dinner and I’m hooked they were amazing and I can’t wait to make them again on my own.

Last evening I made Peppered Rib Eye with Truffle Oil roasted Potatoes and almond green beans. Yes, it was even tastier than it sounds--and enough for two dinners (I'm single, so that's how I must cook!) HelloFresh has never disappointed. It may seem a bit costly at first glance, but I NEVER have to throw away produce this way, nor do I have to go grocery shopping every other day to avoid that waste! My husband and I are very happy with the Hello Fresh food delivery service. Delivery was on time, the products all cold and fresh upon arrival. All items were in separate bags, by the meal and recipe. Recipe was very easy to follow and there were very clear directions. The product came out just as the recipe showed and said. Hello Fresh uses very clean food products such as hormone free and antibiotic free chicken, which is very important to my family. Overall very happy with Hello Fresh!

I signed up for their introductory box price, and a few days later my box arrived. The packaging on the outside looked great. The items inside were neatly packed in individual boxes sorted by each recipe and everything looked good. The ingredients were fresh, the pork, chicken, and shrimp were still cold. Everything was labeled properly. The only thing was that a piece of ginger got away and was sailing in the water residue from the meats. All-in-all everything was fresh and usable. Sunday morning came around and I started bright and early. The aromas that came from my kitchen would make my mom blush. The taste, the portion size, and ease to make suited me perfectly. I'd found my mate! If I were to do this every week I still couldn't justify the cost, HOWEVER, Hello Fresh has flexible delivery schedules. I decided I can do it once a month. So for one week every month, I get to try 3 new dishes and have fun doing it.

I’ve used several different meal kit services in the past, but Hello Fresh is the only one I have gone back to. The ingredients are good quality. The few times I had something arrive spoiled or broken they have given me a credit on my account. There is a great variety of meals. I love some of the add ons in the market (the mini cheesecakes are so good!). The negatives: I feel like they up charge for a lot of meals that should not cost extra. The delivery fee is steep (over $10). The app is not the easiest to navigate.

HelloFresh is convenient. That’s what you are paying for - convenience. It would be much cheaper to buy ingredients separately and cook them at home. However this is nice to have one or two times a week, especially if you are busy. I enjoyed when Kroger carried the single serve versions of HelloFresh. If I don’t know what to make I could always pick up a kit at the store.

HelloFresh was a meal service that I used in the beginning of my collegiate career given that meal-prepping and cooking was difficult for me. The price is what made me stop ordering from HelloFresh, because I found it much cheaper to grocery shop and cook on my own. But I would definitely suggest this to people starting out with cooking, or to those that can definitely afford it (remember I am in college).

I’ve had a satisfactory experience with hello fresh the past 2 months. When I initially signed up I had issues with the free box I got, I accidentally ordered the premium meal and they charged my account t. When I called an complained, they reversed the charge and gave me 4 credits for the next 4 weeks. Only one time has an item been missing from a bag, it was Dijon mustard and I got a $14 credit. We’ve decided to continue as long as possible with hello fresh, it’s helped us eat more of a variety and healthier.

I liked the meals andthe choices I was given however they need to get a better delivery company. Lasership delivered my first meals without any problems however the second couldn't be delivered due to not having access, acording to them. I left a comment on the BBB's website where Lasership had a one star rating. I did not want to wonder if future deliveries would make it through so I changed to one who uses FedEx.

I am able to give my family and myself a variety that would be too costly if I bought it on my own. The ingredients have been so fresh and flavors are a great bold mix. I’ve never had issues with deliveries or with my food not maintaining a cold temp until I get home! WE LOVE IT!!

I'm not even sure where to begin. I love the idea and the simple meals. I do however have the issue that the green items haven't been exactly fresh however I have only received one box so far. I was supposed to receive my second box, which should have been received today, but it hasn't left the shippers location. So as of now, I'm not impressed. Instead of calling to make sure that I know how to select my meals, which is clear I know how to do, they could have informed me that my next shipment was going to be delayed. Not impressed with service but I do like the concept and have had some tasty meals.

I actually just got done eating a pork, potatoes, and collards dish my wife pucked that was awesome. In the past, approximately, 4 weeks of 3 meals each week we have not had a bad meal yet. The pricing isnt bad and the food has actually been quite good. Hello Fresh has been awesome.

My experience with HelloFresh has been overall positive: great tasting and high-quality food, superb customer service, and very convenient. There was a time, however, when a cut of meat went bad and had to contact HF to credit my account. They did and were very helpful in doing so. They truly care about their customers. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to better plan meals each week.

What I like about HelloFresh is that I get to learn how to cook food. Also, it freshens up my taste palette. In other words, I get to try new foods without having to figure what ingredients I need to buy. The food I have received have always been quality. One downside is that the pricing is a little high, and I really mean is instead of $10 a meal I would feel more comfortable in spending $8 a meal for what I get because I can go to the store and purchase meals even less expensive. However, there's a value, for me, it is the new foods, quality ingredients and learning how to cook.

Unbelievable quality, great-tasting dishes, and easy to follow recipes. Not to mention the packaging is clear and concise and very easy to use. Definitely gets me out of my comfort zone when trying new foods and techniques, which is something that my wife and I have been craving for eons. I would thoroughly recommend it!

The food was delivered in time and was packaged well. Inside the box, everything was separated by the meal it went with which made it super easy to put away until prep time. All the ingredients were super fresh and delicious. The recipes are easy to follow and come out amazing! I would recommend this and we will be continuing with it!!!

Overall, I had an enjoyable experience. My only complaints would be; that of the various meal delivery services I’ve tried, the recipe choices from HelloFresh are my least favorite. Also, as with most meal delivery services, I wish the serving sizes were just a little more. Overall, I had a great experience with them. Timely delivery & billing. Also, when I was having issues with their website & my account, they were quick to help me out when I reached out via Twitter and on their chat available on their website.

My husband and I had a free trial of hello fresh a while ago. We absolutely loved it. The meals were easy to prepare, fresh, organic and delicious. It was things I wouldn’t normally make but found delicious. They have a variety of different meal types based on your diet- which we liked since I am gluten intolerant.

The packaging is great, I love that the meals come in individual recyclable paper bags so you don’t accidentally use the ingredients of another meal. Our first nights meal did have a pepper that was moldy on the inside, but i called customer service and they refunded me for that meal, which I was satisfied with. They were very polite and understanding and I felt like they stand by their fresh standards. Meal 2 was easy to cook and was delicious. And now we are excited for meal 3 tonight.

So far my experience has been quite amazing. HelloFresh can make a timid chef feel like a champion in the kitchen. Billing is simple and if I ever need to, I can skip a week with the push of a button Delivery is via UPS and so far I've not had a single hiccup in product quality or delivery time. My only real gripe is sometimes the frozen gel packs rupture during shipping and that can getessy. Other hand that, pretty amazing service.

they have excellent meals, the food has always been very tasty, the meats are organic and better than what I can buy in the grocery store. Price is about the same for the 2 of us than if we bought in grocery store for like items. Customer service is good, as once we had a bug in produce and potatoes were bad, they credited within 2 hours of getting email. Really good tasty recipes, I feel like a chef!

I get HelloFresh every week and I think it's far and away the best meal delivery service. This week one of the premium meals I got was prusciutto wrapped chicken with mushroom risotto. It was incredible! All of it was delicious and the risotto was a restaurant quality meal. I will be saving the recipe and making again and again!
