NOT RELIEABLE. Can not hold internet connection more than 20 minutes. Voice over IP calls are lost / hung up. 100 MBps plan has real internet DL speed of 10MB to 50MB. The speeds varies widely from minute to minute, for no apparent reason. Seems like they are changing servers on me every few minutes which causes dropped telephone calls. Very poor service will be giving them 2 more weeks to fix it, then I will be requesting refund and just go back to DSL which for me is very reliable here.

Paying a $115 a month (after complaining that my bill jumped over $25 in one month) 1gig stuck pulling .5 mbps - 1mbps !!!!!! WTF. Suddenlink is complete trash. Highway robbery and cant wait for competitors to expand their fiber lines!! The only thing Suddenlink is good at is being consistently inconsistent with their crappy internet service and their constant price increases for piss poor excuse for a utility. They don't even deserve the 1 star or Id go lower.

OMG this has truly have to be one of the worst companies to deal with. The incompetence is not believable. We have scheduled service techs to come out 4 times over 4 weeks and they simply do not show up. When I asked to speak to a manager she explains to me that the only solution is to place a whole new order. What she was trying to explain to me made zero logic. I truly cannot understand how companies like this are in business. Just don’t get it! Save yourself a lot of stress and go with ANY other providers before attempting to deal with these morons.

Poor service, constantly going up on your bill and not informing you. If your service is out, you have to wait anywhere from 5-7 days, so therefore you have no service during that time. You can't even swap your modem out anymore, they schedule a technician to come out and that could take 5-7 days as well! Is there anyway I could share this with other people that are having the same kind of problems also?

Had a to pay service tech to replace outdoor buried cable. After putting a TEMPORARY cable on top of the ground in late October 2019, he informed me that another service tech would be out to bury the cable in 2 weeks. After waiting a month no service tech showed up. After 4 phone request and a visit to our Suddenlink office which would be the 5th request still no service. That being said April 10, 2020 a service tech showed up and FINALLY buried the new cable. My math is average but I believe that is close to 8 months. Suddenlink has NO MORE chances with me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In this crisis suddenlink says hey we can help you with internet so that kids can learn still learn while the schools are closed down. Really, what they saw was an opportunity to take advantage of people in this time of need. Suddenlink will not help you with internet if you have a owed balanced with them and to make matter worse they won't let you pay it out either has to be paid in full up front as if we are already not having trouble paying bills already. So in reality people who owe them money , they do not care about your kids education. They are only concerned about getting paid.

Two nights in a row, promises broken. Two days in a row following up with their reps, why didn’t your reps show up. “Oh, I don’t see any scheduled appointments “. Gypsies, tramps and thieves.

Bill went up another 10 with no notice and it started at 80 For the 400mpbs and now up to 115 and who knows how much more it will go up. I’m going to cancel and it’s not my thing to put down bad reviews at all i usually stay quiet for things like this but this is not fair for me and all who having to go through not being able to get in contact with customer support, super high prices, and other inconveniences.

If I could give a negative score I would! They lie, cheat, steal from me. Raise my rates with no notice, charged me for years for service I didn't get and declare the hours I waited for customer service was never logged, so it didn't happen! I'm 59 years old, and this is the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. They just jacked up my bill another $10 WITH NO NOTICE!

Horrible service!!! For the outrageous amount of money I pay every month. I’d like to have an Internet/Cable/Phone provider that I can depend on. I know “stuff” happens and things break, but two nights in a row is pathetic. Furthermore, everything was working fine until the other day when one of their trucks pulled up out front and a technician started messing with stuff on the pole. My Internet/TV/Phone all went out for about 45 minutes, but it came back up when he left. However, I lost everything again that night.

Suddenlink is the worst provider you can get. Since Sept 2019 they have been horrible. Cable , internet and phone never works. Techs come out to repair and next day interruptions all over again. My services has not worked correctly since I got them installed back in Sept. Was suppose to get a promotion and it never happened. Now I get a bill for $456.00 for one month of service. Every representative I talked I cant understand their language and I get discnnected and have to start over with someone else. They make no notes on your bill please run from this company

I am warning my family and friends don’t get service from sudden link the employees are rude and don’t answer your question put you on hold for hours I called to get service in September and still haven’t received anything so I called for my refund haven’t receive that either I was informed today my refund was returned to the account which was closed in September I have called back and was told the refund was sent back on October 21 it would take 5 to 10 business days it’s November 19 still no refund you will get the run around and it will become stressful

one star too many. they recently went through a migration and bill has not been consistent. their servers are usually down when trying to review bill or make payment. if you make payment with agent, they charge $10. when calling, you are either on hold for approx. 1 hr (call backs take longer). chat can be 'on hold' for approx 30 min. since taken over by Altice, they have gotten so much worse.

These people take incompentence to a new level. I have been a customer of their internet/phone service for about 6 weeks. During that time I have been without phone for half that time. They have sent out tech support people, have "reset" my modem numerable times and have escalated the problem to the next higher level, all without success. When I actually end up talking to someone all I get are hollow promises of improvement and credit for lost service, both of which are yet to be realized. My recommendation? Get your phone service elsewhere. Internet is OK, I suppose.

After holding for 1:45, was told to take Tivo to an office in Georgetown for replacement. Since the person on the phone barely spoke English, I called again and did the call-back thing. I waited about two hours for the callback. The second person verified I could take it in for replacement or wait about 10 days for a tech. I drove all the way to the office and waited for 30 minutes. Then was told they didn't have them there! Now the tech is supposed to be here between 11:00AM and 2:00PM. The "where's my tech" feature is saying sometime between 3:00PM and 4:00PM.

I don't usually write customer reviews but their service has been the worst. Bills arrive after the due date. They charge late fees on their late bills even though we are not enrolled in paperless billing. Can't get through to anybody on the phone. Their automated system calls back to arrange a follow up call three days later. This is for my college student. We personally use Spectrum. Their customer service blows doors on Suddenlink.

I am one of Suddenlink by Altice's valued customers. I have been trying to stop service for my deceased mother. 1 hour 41 minutes so far on hold and 21 minutes waiting for online chat. This company is a joke and cares nothing about its customers. I have 2 active accounts myself with a combined monthly bill of almost $500 dollars. I see how much they care

They have the worst customer service I have ever experienced in a company. The live chat people don't know anything. You're wasting your time with them. Telephone wait times are extraordinarily long and it's a total dead end. I cannot get an email address for anyone at the company. I have one service but am billed both on the business side and the residential side. I am being billed twice each month for internet service. Each side says it's the other sides problem and they can't help me. No one has any authority to fix any problems at all.

Extremely unreliable service and support is a joke. Went to pay my bill online but internet was down again (this happens several times per week) so I called customer service..... they offered to scedule an appointment a week out oh, and they would have to charge me a $10.00 “convenience fee” if I wanted to pay my bill by phone! Company does not care about quality at all, their tech actually said the infastructure is old and will continue to be unreliable until they upgrade which is not in the plans.

Customer service is horrible and cancelled cable you can get Netflix and Hulu for alot cheaper then cable and alot more shows. So cancelled cable but kept internet and what happened after 4 years the first month i just had internet services i went over and they charged me 30.00. seem suspicious to me so never again cut internet and will never use suddenlink again

For the average user they are reliable and top notch Internet. For a web developer they limit what I can do in a home office. I can not setup a Dynamic Hosted Web Server. I can not host any type of FTP or IMAP server. In short, every port I want to use is rejected.

I'm not exaggerating in the slightest when I say this: they're the worst ISP I've ever had and it isn't even close. We pay for 1 GB download speed - there are days where I'm lucky to even get 10 Mbps. Would've switched ages ago if they weren't our only option for so long.

Worst internet service I've ever had. I literally just sat here for ten minutes without service and when it came back on I decided to do this review. This happens all the time! I'm desperately waiting for an alternative. I suspect they changed their name because of all the complaints and law suits across the U.S. AVOID SUDDENLINK or now OPTIMUM!

Absolutely worthless company. The only it is in business here is there is no competition. Constant signal failure from 5pm to 10pm. Average outage is 4 per hour from 5 min to 15 min. Local government looking to remove this company when other option appear.

Don't show up on time for scheduled appointments. They hand you a recently returned defective devise when you try and turn in your defective devise. Their in person customer service people have no clue. It takes hours to get through on the phone and then you are talking to somebody in New Delhi, India. They stink!!!

We are still in a battle with them. No one there will help you. They will send people out that do absolutely nothing. Of course, our service doesn't work. We have a small business that is primarily internet-driven. So I am screaming but to no one. They have the monopoly. They are not concerned.

They make it impossible to cancel. They even lied to get me into not cancelling today. They then try to sell you anything up until the point of cancellation. Internet service is dodgy and constantly having outages, at least once a week if not more. They will still charge you though. Overpriced and downright crappy.

Very expensive. Extremely poor customer service. Almost imposible to get a real live English speaking person! Multiple outages per month, daily sometimes. Service can be spotty. Words spoken on TV will suddenly repeat. TV will go to a blue screen unexpectedly or pixelate. Multiple instances of repair people untrained in ehat to do to fix an issue.

I don't like anything about Suddenlink. I have not had service since 12/26/2021, today is 1/21/2022. I have a cable down in my driveway that was to be fixed on 1/13/2022. Now the appointment is 2/01/22. No internet or phone. I am not able to reach a customer service agent that operates in the United States.

Our tech was scheduled to hook up service Sunday evening. We needed the internet for work the next day. The tech never made it, despite 2 one hour chats online, and 4 phone calls. The best Suddenlink could do is schedule someone for the next day in the evening, and we're not even sure if they'll show up. Unreliable.

I kept wondering why my bill was going up every few months, and I decided all I really needed was basic internet. I received the cheapest price I could get, but within months it went from $26 to $58 for the lowest speed internet and before I could cancel and pay my last bill it went up again. This is a horrible company to deal with.

All computerized phone for assistance. Says same thing over and over. Just need senior citizen assistance. Left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Remote are cheap. Why have to use 2 remotes? One to simply turn on the tv. Very, very frustrating.

Suddenlink is the only internet provider in Kingwood, TX so I guess they do not care about providing reliable service. Our internet has been going off & on for 4 weeks. We’ve had 3 techs out; replaced all equipment & still no internet. Calling customer service is completely useless. What.A.Failure!
