Customer service is terrible. The day someone came to install, I got a cheaper promo in the mail. I called that day to ask if I could switch, and called every week for 3 weeks with no callback. Finally talked to someone & was told that deal is not available to me. And no apology for not getting a callback. Oh, and there's little charges they add on so the promo price isn't what you'll end up paying.If I wasn't locked into a contract, I would drop them.

This is the worst internet service! I did a speed test today with an Apple representative on with me & tested 3.5 download speed & .7 upload speeds!!! Horrible! I want to develop a small business working from home, turning my photos into art to sell but I guess this is not possible now? Surely, with many people living in rural areas, there is a better internet option out there!!! Don't go with Rise!

very slow service...tried to improve it but didn't work. They say they they have a better service now but want more money for it but don't advertise the speed so can expect it is still slow. Called customer service...no call for over a half an hour...called back and place on hold forever...still holding. the speed and the service stink... never think about using them unless you have no choice...just sell you laptop and forget the web... have some peace of mind or relocate to where you can get cable or otherwise. As bad for customer service as verizon

I live on the outer area of town where traditional high speed internet service is not available. I received a mail flier advertising this products availability at my address. However when I called I was informed that the fliers had been sent to the wrong area and that my location was not serviced. What is really sad about this is I expected that responce when I called. A couple of years ago I got the same flier and had the same results. Very disappointed.

We literally have dial up speeds at best 99% of the time, we have had techs out to our house and are always told 'your towers need to be upgraded' and it never happens... Every time we complain they find a way to turn our speed up for a few days and then it slows to a trickle..... Its a joke, its scam and no one seems to care..... This is our second round with this provider and its been a joke from start to finish, they know they have you by the short hairs in rural America where you have little choice...

Terrible service, paid for $80.00 per month for 15mbps and was lucky to get 0.8 mbps. 2 months of this and I canceled my service due to lack of internet service and they nailed me with a 240.00 early termination of contract. They also where going to credit me for the poor service and then backed out of that. Very poor business ethics I will never deal with this company again

When it worked, it was fine service. However, we had a lot of troubles with consistent service. Because I require internet to work at home, good internet service was a must. They simply didn’t have the speeds I needed so I switched providers.

Poor reliability and internet speed is up and down. When I went to cancel service their tech came to my house when I wasn't home and climbed on my house to remove the dish. He left the bracket and they refuse to come out and remove it. This company was disrespectful of my time and property. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Unreliable internet since day 1. Can't seem to resolve the issue. I work from home and reliable internet is a necessity. Losing internet is a DAILY issue. I call, I email... It is not improving. If you need consistent internet service, look elsewhere.

Having issues with hooking up my ring . Spent a few hours on the phone with ring and my chime worked fine on my hotspot . Called rise and revived no help at all . I have only had service with them for a week and will be canceling it .

I’m pretty sure AOL dial up was better than this company! When you call in to report an outage (twice a week) the people are nice and when you call to cancel your service they are great and lower the monthly fee. That is my only positive experience since I’ve been a customer. Why is there a tower outage several times a week???

I have to wait now Fort Worth, TX

They offer us a speed of about 480kb/s. They will not aid us in costumer service or help with better speeds in our hard to reach area. Our TV’s and online games currently do not work, so we are now considering switching to any other provider out there that can at least try to do their job.

After 12 years of service we received a letter stating our service would be canceled in 10 days with no explanation. We had never been late with our payments. We have no other options for internet. We've been waiting for over 6 weeks for a call back. If you can go with someone else, I would.

Paul, we are terribly sorry this is happening to you. Unfortunately the tower where our equipment is mounted is no longer allowing us to continue transmitting from their location. We have tried to move all of our customers in this area to another location, but in some case we have no other options. We are often given very little notice from the tower host that they are not renewing our contracts and requiring us to remove our equipment from their tower. We are truly sorry that this is the case, and we hate to lose you as a long time customer. Jun 10, 2002. Speeds were good for a week or so. I'm currently getting 0.17Mbit download speeds. I'm paying $90/month for this crap. I don't have any other option for internet in my rural location, and Rise knows this. So it's a case of take what we offer or get nothing. I'm looking to install a tower so I can move to another provider.

I have had Rise for 4 + years. Slow does not even begin to describe my 50mb service contract. I'm lucky if I get 3mb on a good day. I have called numerous times and always the same story. I suggest if you are looking for internet service, look elsewhere!

Since school has been canceled the internet never works. My kids need to be on for classes but now they miss classes because the internet is always down. You can't call because they never answer their phones. I waited for over a hour and my call was never answered. Worse internet.

Slowest internet service I have ever had with the most outages. Technical support only ever says to unplug router and plug it back in. This does not fix bad internet service. Web pages take 5 minutes to load. Can't stream from any provider.

As you can see from the low rating, Rise Broadband provides very poor service. We pay for 20 MPS, but rarely see anything about 5 MPS (usually around 3 and has been low as .6. Yes, .6!) Unfortunately, there is little choice other than expensive & restrictive satellite internet.

Rise Broadband is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. Their internet service is constantly going down and then to get it restarted at the house took hours on hold and days of waiting for tech support to come out. Their customer service is beyond horrific as is their internet service.

Our download speed is 3-5 and our upload speed is 1-2, and that is on a good day lost of time we have less than that or none at all. Stream movies, not a chance. LOL Customer service is a joke, if you can even get through to them.

Days without internet service And when it works you can listen to music it stops every few seconds to reload and movies have to load a lot. You can't talk to live chat. They don't answer the phone. I bought the fastest speed they sell $100.00 per month. Would never recommend this company to anyone.

Have to agree with other reviewers--No service, no internet speed, belligerent customer service. We got about 1mbps upload and download; internet goes out frequently and Rise cannot explain it. Moreover, they argue with you and refuse to give credit for outage days. Buyer beware with this company. Filing complaint with BBB.

Terrible customer service. They lock you into contracts for internet service packages that they can't even support in your area. They don't honor statements made by employees. Wait times to talk to employees are the worst. Rise Broadband is the new "Wells Fargo" of internet service provider companies.

When the system goes down and want to call them to figure out if it's them or me, it is not unusual for me to completely give up waiting on hold for tech support. Sometimes I try at various time for days. I caqn't wait to have another choice in ISP's.

So when i had my netgear nighthawk the internet was bad. Then my router fried. Now i have their managed router, and my inter net is garbage. I cant even stream a tv show on netflix without it buffering every 2-5 minutes. I had dsl with faster speeds

We have had Rise and its predecessors for years, The service has deteriorated consistently as the price goes up . We are going to actively search for some alternative. As I write this our speed is rivaling dial up. It is time for us to move on, and I would encourage anyone looking for an ISP not to consider this poor excuse for ISP.

Poor speed, intermittent service, unfriendly employees, hidden charges, and now a cap on data usage. I can't think of a single thing that I could commend Rise about. The only reason to use them is that they are the only service available. (for now- I will change ISP as soon as another becomes available)

Terrible company RISE has all kinds of hidden terms such as data limit of 350gigs. Never heard of a internet provider with a data limit and a 250 cancel fee for two years did not see that one either. Their service stinks too takes an average of 40 min to get someone on the phone that does not care.

My son this Christmas Day could not play his new game it took 16 hours to down load.My daughter cannot watch a downloaded movie as the signal keeps dropping . We are hoping soon we have better choices in our area! If you have a choice don’t use this company!

I was watching hulu when it starts buffering repeatedly. I ran a speed test and I'm getting 0.99mbps download. This happens everyday at certain times. I have called tech support more times than i can count. Absolutely no help. You be the judge of rise broadband. Some quality ISP needs to help rural areas so companies like this can be avoided.

worst interent provider ever! first they sell you a very high speed connection and then after installation you may not recieved bought speed and they refuse to put you on lower tier cause you locked in two year contract. thats if the internet even works at all.. cant even get out of contract cause they will charge you 270 dollars.
