Absolute worst internet service I've ever had. And then when I try to cancel the dude gives me attitude and heckles me for 45 minutes trying to get me to keep the service! Disgusting company, disgusting performance and disgusting customer service. Do not sign a contract with this group of pigs.

Worst customer service ever. Had installed, never worked, was told faulty equipment, had it disconnected and closed account 4 days later. Was told it would cost me $100.00 to pick up dish they put on top of my house that never worked. Would not recommend using this service at all, terrible.

Too bad I can't give 0 stars. They have terrible service and I feel they are over priced for their service. Added after you pay the bill you have to wait 15 to 25 days before your service restarts. When you call them they bounce around and never give you a straight answer on anything. Just all in all -10 out of 10

We had Hughesnet for 4 months. We constantly ran out of data because it was always uploading. We got to stream a total 2 movies the entire time. My dad does Ancestry so he would only be allowed 1/2 the month then it would shut off again for $110 dollars a month you should receive something of quality. STEER CLEAR OF HUGHESNET!!!!

They LIE. we got Hughes net along with Dish tv with a 2 year contract. Hughesnet just raised our payment..we were suppose to locked in with the rate of $60.88...they raised it to $85. 88. Our hughesnet app says we get the discount till 10/23/2023...they won't listen. DO NOT GET HUGHESNET..YOU WILL BE SORRY!!!

No stars. We totally agree. Huges Net sucks! So slow as to be a total frustration to even be online. We are now stuck with their crappy service as you have to do a 2 year contract. So we have to pay them AND a good internet compay. Don't do it!!!!

A 1 star because 0 is not an option. Been with Hughesnet for 6 yrs because I have no other option. It is comparable to using a scooter on the interstate. Quit telling people they can have high speed internet anywhere, so more people can be aware of the issues that rural areas experience.

HughesNet sucks so bad. I don't know how I was able to stick it out for 2 whole years of awful awful service. If you choose this company I guarantee you will regret it...everyday. Netflix buffers and I cant even watch more than 5 minutes of Hulu at a time. RIDICULOUS.

They mounted the dish in the middle of the roof which caused a leak. They also shut off our service at 8am on a Saturday and would not connect us unless we upgraded to the faster service...went with another provider and would not recommend HughesNet even if they try to say they are the only option!!!

Very difficult to cancel. Will not work if you require VPN security for your work at home. It took 3 lengthy phone calls to cancel this service after 18 months, moved and could get better internet services. Had to pay almost $200 to cancel contract that had 6 months remaining.

I was sold on General lies. I am unable to get a consistent internet connection. I have to use my iPhone 5G for virtual meetings. Hughesnet realizes it will soon be replaced in rural areas and is taking advantage of the only option until then. The fat CEO and Hicksville exec team are dinosaurs.

I live in a rural area, so I have no access to more efficient internet. HN typically has to pause streaming at low resolution. Netflix seldom plays more than 15 seconds without pausing. Two devices at the same time never works. HughesNet is terrible AND expensive!

We found Hughes net work to be one of the worst providers of Internet service ever. They are very expensive for very low megabytes and it’s very hard to cancel your service when it doesn’t work. In my experience with HughesNet work was not a good one, I do not recommend this service ever to anyone.

One of the worst internet companies I haven't ever had the Miss pleasure of dealing with. A knock watch a simple video on Facebook without it stalling and multiple times. I cannot update anything, it reports not connected to the internet, but when you check internet connection it is listed as connected. Tried on my phone, laptop and i-pad.

The already slow service becomes unacceptably slow at peak hours, which makes evident that hughesnet has way too many customers: It reminds me of earlier AOL who went bankrupt when consumers discovered that that provider had sold many times more than what their equipment was capable of serving

Most horrible 4 day customer experience ever. Would never recommend to anyone. So, so, very slow. It would take 10-20 minutes just to upload a basic pdf file. I would have to disconnect my wifi on my phone to be able to use it. Customet service is horrific, ad well as the service. If you plan on getting hughes net, DONT!

TOTAL BAIT AND SWITCH. Sloooow speeds, terrible customer service, and incompetent technical support. No service guarantee (sell you 25Mbps and you'll be lucky to get 5), yet you are locked in to a two-year service contract. And if you want to cancel, it's $800. Oh, and if it rains ... no service. Never worked. Speed is very very slow. Persistent sales people trying to keep you stay by offering discount. Horrible. They want their equipment back. They won't come to get it. Nothing good about this company. It's expensive and you are limited each month -- once you are over your data limit, it slows down as though you were using dial up. And Customer Service is also bad. We are limited in terms of the internet provider, as we live out in the country. I wish better service were available to us.

Don’t waste your time. Internet was slow or non-existent. An example.. Couldn’t get through a episode on Netflix without 10+ stops to reload. $800 early cancellation fee. If you’re a business, you don’t receive the $200 equipment refund. HughesNet is terrible.

I am 77 and I do not understand the confusing method of their pricing. I have had many internet providers and this company is the most greedy I have ever encountered. I hope they enjoy their spoils. I've had Hughes net for 6 months. My favorite movie was buffered 46 times. We are stuck. I asked for a systems repair man. He said the little spinning dial in the buffering meant a lot of people were watching that show and I should turn it off and try later, then he sold me a internet booster for $129 that helped NOT ! I hate this system.

Their customer service is great. That's the only good thing about it. You almost never get 25mpbs. Daytime data allows some streaming but after 5pm their speeds drop to 8-13mpbs. We can't stream anything at that rate. Sales reps will swear it's perfect for you. They are lying. We have two internet choices. Both waste your money and time.
