Customer service always takes at least a week to get back to you. I waited 8 weeks for a new set after receiving the aligners as my bottom ones did not fit. When I was ready for my second shipment of aligners (they send 15 weeks at a time) it was almost SIX MONTHS before I could get them as my teeth hadn’t “fully settled” into my last set (even after wearing them for two months. Overall the product itself is great, but customer service could do a lot better.

Great, my teeth are back where they used to be after braces for years, in the short time of a few weeks. I was very disappointed with the whitening gel. I used it as directed but saw no difference in my teeth pertaining to whitening. Overall pleased with the outcome, wish the whitening worked out better.

Unhelpful customer service and support through the whole process. Deceptive guarantees for an additional 650.00 that void for the smallest thing but these terms were withheld from me until after I purchased, and reached out with my issues I was having with my aligners. It states there are no refunds allowed, but none of this information was made available to me until I made a complaint!!!!

Byte is great at providing the service they describe on their website: they fit you with a set of clear aligners to meet your correction needs. Treatment plans are prepared and monitored remotely by licensed orthodontists, dentists, and technicians. Checking in with Byte regularly throughout the treatment process is very important though, to make sure you're on track, and to address any needs you may have. Following their guidelines is also very important in order to maintain your guarantee. You’ve got to be reasonably self-motivated. The only issue I had was that when I tried to email them to discuss some adjustments I needed, I was looped through their website and had to answer a form questionnaire which didn't always address directly what my problem was. They would always get back to me about my concern through email, but I felt it would have been easier for me to just speak directly with a person rather than go through this process. But hey, my teeth look great!

The progress is much slower than advertised. Support is decent once they are engaged, but replying to open tickets doesn't always happen. Sometimes you need to submit a new support request to ask them to follow up on an open support request.

Do not use Byte. I know the price point is tempting, but I have a valid reason why I do not recommend their service. They only provide half the trays upfront, then you need to complete a check in to receive the remaining brackets. I submitted all of the required documentation, AND CALLED THE NEXT DAY, to which I was told everything looked great and they should arrive in 3-4 weeks. At week 3, I call. JUST TO BE SAFE. The order was never submitted. I have been in the same bracket for two weeks, and will have to wait another 4 to received the "already confirmed" remaining brackets. These trays are not meant to be used for 6-8 weeks. They will not do anything to remedy their wrong, other than say "there's nothing they can do." When I asked for a refund because they did not comply with their treatment best-practices the replied with "in 3-4 business days someone from upper management will send an email." I paid cash, upfront, in full and they just never placed my order. Again, do not use this company. My teeth will not be straight and I'm out all my money.

I was very excited about Byte, the price was good, the technology (HyperByte) seemed convincing, and the "at-night" approach was very appealing. I was told 7-9 months to a "perfect smile". In hindsight what is clear is that the company did a great job at marketing its solution and a terrible job in planning out how to execute it right. Short version – go to a local orthodontist, and you will be MUCH happier in the end. Longer version – I am now 2 YEARS into my treatment and, as of today, they are telling me it will be April before I am done. My experience along the way has been very frustrating because you, the patient, must drive everything. Yes, they try to send automated reminders, but they are typically not at the right time or stage you are at. But I have spent SO MUCH time driving the process, and they are slow to respond, that I would have much rather have had a personal experience. So was less expensive than going local, yes. But after multiple restarts over 2 years, the frustration, the extra money, the lack of responsiveness, and the overall headache were NOT worth it. With the competition they have in the marketplace today, I don’t see their business model thriving unless they make changes.

I spent around 2k on this product to try and save money on braces. That money was wasted and I still had to pay for braces after Byte didn't work out. If you have any issues with the fit of this product, the customer service is horrible. When I initially purchased the product it was easy to call and speak to a dental professional whenever you had issues or questions. That changed and it is nearly impossible to get the help you need, especially if you work full time and are trying to manage a busy life. I also have a greater understanding of how many problems can be caused by using a product like this without being under the care of an orthodontist. Do not be fooled by this company and look around for affordable care elsewhere. It will be worth it long term.

Byte looked over my impressions and sent me a plan that did NOT correct the problem with my teeth. I asked for a revised plan that met my needs and corrected the problem with my teeth. The company representative indicated that no refund would be given since they had presented a plan, even though the plan was ineffective and not helpful. I cannot recommend a company that will not stand behind its promises.

I had been interested in starting Invisalign for a few years, so I started researching and came across Byte. They had great reviews, so I decided to call on 5/4/22. The first step was to complete the impression kit. It took about a week to receive it. I did it the same day I got it and sent it off the next day. My initial consultation on 6/13/22 was great. The lady I spoke with was great. She explained the process and the cost of the plan. She said the process would take 25 weeks, and I should reach my goal by the middle of January. I was super excited to start, so I signed up right away. It took about five weeks to receive my aligners. I received them on 7/15/22 and started wearing them immediately. The first few months were so painful. I lost 25 lbs because it hurt too much to eat. My teeth hurt (which is to be expected), but the aligners were sharp and kept cutting the inside of my gums. I also developed thrust and blisters all over my mouth, which I believe was from the whitening solution they had me use. Despite all this, I continued wearing my aligners and doing my monthly check-ins because I did notice my bottom teeth getting straighter. Let's go back a minute so you can have a better understanding. Before starting the treatment, my bottom teeth were very crooked. However, my top teeth were all straight expected the tooth right next to my front one. It was the begging of December when everything got worse. When I went to change my aligners to the next step, I noticed the tooth on top had not straightened out at all, and to make matters worse, it is now loose (it wiggles), and there is a gap in between my teeth. I immediately call Byte to explain the situation. They told me to take a two-week resting period from the top aligner to see if that would help, so I did. Two weeks passed, and my tooth still wiggled, so I informed them. They told me to extend the resting period, which I did. Fast forward to today, 4/23/23, after MANY failed attempts to resolve this issue, I was told they do not cover any outside dental work. They said I will have to pay out of pocket for any/all dental visits and treatments, even though their product caused the problem. So, not only did I suffer for months due to their defective products. I now have to pay out of pocket for dental bills due to their negligence and to top it off, my teeth look worse now than before I started. I wasted 8 months of my life that I could have spent using a product that actually worked and saved myself the pain, money, and headache from dealing with Byte.

While adjustments are being made it is normal to experience minor pain and discomfort due to the teeth shifting. If you are experiencing discomfort from the aligners due to the edges being sharp the best thing to do is use the file provided in your kit to smooth them out. We do provide a bottle of our BrightByte to every customer with their aligner kit, this is a mild whitener and is primarily used to cleanse the aligners. Using BrightByte is not a requirement for treatment so if our customers are experiencing discomfort we recommend reaching out to Byte Support as well as discontinuing use. Byte ruined my smile. Hyperbyte caused a tooth to die as a result of moving too quickly, ultimately requiring a root canal & crown. My tooth is ruined forever. I did not get any support from them despite multiple requests for support. They simply put my treatment plan on hold after a check in where I was finally able to show them the dead tooth. I absolutely regret using Byte. I would encourage you to STRONGLY consider a different company before trusting Byte with your smile.

Thinking about getting aligners? Thinking about Byte? My advice, don’t. I believe in orthodontics because I had braces in my 30’s for very poorly aligned teeth and they worked beautifully. So when they needed a little tweak due to lost retainers I thought aligners were the way to go. I thought I did my due diligence and chose Byte. After 15 months, a lot of money and even more hassle I am VERY disappointed. All went well at first but when I tried to reach out for help and information, Byte’s phone message was that they were understaffed and not answering calls. It said to use the app or email. Well the app is a joke. And as far as emails, all of the responses are impersonal, transactional and robotic. I never felt like a person or even a customer with Byte. And even more importantly, their product just doesn’t work. After wearing the aligners almost every night, using their Hyperbyte, backtracking twice and getting 3 sets of impressions my teeth are somewhat better, but not nearly what I expected, or promised. I believe there is something wrong with the process, the technology. And the fact that Byte makes it impersonal has to be a part of that. Look elsewhere!

Glitchy app. Also when I send questions, it seems that the rep is copying and pasting answers to something I didn’t ask, while not answering my actual question. I have had to contact byte 2 times because the app keeps resetting to say that I’m supposed to wear my aligners for 7 days, but I think I was told with my second set of aligners I’m supposed to shear them 14 days. The last time I called about it, the rep said she has no information that I’m supposed to wear them for 14 days instead of 7. The entire 15 aligners I’m the first set never fit my teeth properly. How do I know? Because this second set of aligners does fit my teeth properly. Also, there was a very long lag time between my first set of aligners and letting me Go onto my second set. I thought byte was going out of business and I kept asking reps that when I would call. Long wait time for the clinical team to review or something.

The company is great, the system works, but i think i need a couple more weeks for straighter look. I am on the last set of aligners but feel i could use one more. Still waiting for retainers and aee how well constructed they are. I hope they are thick and durable.
