  • Identity Protection
  • Recovery Services
  • Insurance
  • Plans and Transparent Pricing
  • Online Educational Resources
  • Mobile App

Identity Protection

As far as identity theft protection goes, IdentityForce does a good job of offering several monitoring services to better protect customers' identities from theft.

The company provides a 14-day free trial, triple-bureau credit monitoring, financial account monitoring, social security number monitoring, payday loan monitoring, and more. Identity theft cases and data breaches have proven that having identity protection can be worthwhile.

IdentityForce promises to send customers real-time alerts if any suspicious activity is detected. The type of real-time alerts sent to customers includes bank and credit card activity alerts, smart social security number alerts, junk mail opt-out, identity threat alerts, and identity fraud alerts.

IdentityForce also provides customers with a two-factor authentication which gives members a second form of authentication (a verification code) that is often delivered by phone, email, or text.

Recovery Services

IdentityForce offers a number of full-service restoration services, including financial, medical, and criminal identity recovery to members who become identity theft victims. Additionally, the identity theft protection service will help customers cancel cards and replace documents in the event of a stolen or lost wallet.

IdentityForce also provides toll-free customer service to help with identity restoration. These identity theft recovery services are only offered to customers who have fallen victim to identity theft while using IdentityForce services.

IdentityForce has Certified Protection Experts who are available around-the-clock and are set to handle all paperwork and phone calls that accompany identity theft restoration.

Insurance

IdentityForce customers can rest assured that they will be covered if they become a victim of identity theft; the company offers up to $1 million in insurance that reimburses customers for expenses related to the theft.

According to the IdentityForce website, this customer insurance policy assists in recovering "out-of-pocket expenses and lost wages when your identity is stolen".

Plans and Transparent Pricing

The company offers a few different identity protection plans that range from $17.95 to $23.95 per month. These IdentityForce plans include the UltraSecure plan and the UltraSecure+Credit plan.

According to the IdentityForce website, the UltraSecure plan includes a variety of identity monitoring services including advanced fraud monitoring, court records monitoring, and more.

In addition to monitoring services, the IdentityForce UltraSecure plan also provides bank account and fraud alerts, control tools and protection (including lost wallet protection, two-factor authentication, medical fraud protection, and PC protection tools), as well as all recovery options.

The UltraSEcure+Credit plan includes all of the same features as the UltraSecure plan along with three-bureau credit monitoring, credit reports and credit report updates, credit scores, credit score tracker, and credit score simulator. All pricing is transparent and can be easily found on the IdentityForce website.

Additionally, IdentityForce offers a ChildWatch service that includes identity monitoring, a smart social security number tracker, social media identity monitoring, identity restoration, and up to $1 million in identity theft insurance.

IdentityForce also provides protection services to businesses and organizations.

Online Educational Resources

The identity theft protection company offers helpful educational resources on its website like videos, brochures, product comparisons, white papers, quizzes, ebooks, a blog, and much more.

These resources cover topics like digital identity protection, data breach technology and information, credit protection, how to spot fraudulent activity, identity fraud, and identity theft, etc.

Mobile App

IdentityForce has a mobile app that account members can use while on-the-go to keep a peace of mind.

This mobile app can help customers stay updated on suspicious activity while they are traveling within or outside of the United States. According to the company's website, "members played a pivotal role in the design and development of IdentityForce Mobile."

Those who have the IdentityForce mobile app can view alerts and social media monitoring service updates and can get immediate access to their credit score along with tips.

Additionally, the company website states that customers can use facial recognition, two-factor authentication, and touch ID to access the IdentityForce mobile app.

The Bad

  • No Assistance with Pre-Existing Conditions
  • No Anti-Virus Software Included

No Assistance with Pre-Existing Conditions

Unfortunately, IdentityForce does not offer recovery assistance to consumers with pre-existing identity theft conditions while some other companies in the identity theft protection industry do offer this service.

Those with pre-existing identity theft conditions may want to consider other identity protection service options in regards to recovery and restoration. The lack of assistance with pre-existing conditions may drive customers away from using the company's services.

No Anti-Virus Software Included

IdentityForce does not provide any anti-virus software or anti-phishing software that many other identity protection companies offer. IdentityForce customers must seek outside software and purchase it on their own.

The lack of anti-virus and anti-phishing software leaves customers with some vulnerability to identity thieves when it comes to their personal computers.

The Bottom Line

IdentityForce offers several advanced identity protection services and restoration services in addition to up to $1 million in identity theft insurance.

The company also provides customers with a 14-day free trial, two-factor authentication, transparent pricing and plans, fraud alert notifications, and an extensive list of monitoring services. Additionally, customers are offered access to the IdentityForce app which they can use to stay in the loop when they travel.

With the UltraSecure+Credit plan that IdentityForce offers, customers are able to significantly enhance their credit protection and personal information security which is something they wouldn't be able to do with some other identity protection companies and services.

Unfortunately, the identity theft protection company does not seem to provide assistance with pre-existing identity theft conditions and does not appear to offer anti-virus software to customers.

IdentityForce does have some aspects you should consider and we recommend that you read IdentityForce reviews before signing up with its identity protection services, however, this company is a good option to choose if you want to protect your identity and personal information.

I have had this service since November. The first month I had to contact them because they continued to send me duplicates for the same transactions. With their duel security measures to sign into your account, I was unable to log in after giving the correct information when they send you a code via text message. I had to contact them and get rid of the second mode of security. Two of my credit card accounts have been hacked into and the credit card company's were the ones to make me aware of this. I have received alerts about transactions that happened over a month ago from them which I find ridiculous if they were had been unauthorized. If there was a way for me to be refunded for the remainder of my subscription, I would take it. This has been a total waste of money. I have no confidence that this company is doing anything to keep any aspect of my identity safe. Also when I had contacted their customer support because they sent an alert that suggested that an account was opened without my knowledge, he was rude and didn't know why they sent that because no one had opened a new account.

I would highly recommend avoiding this service. I've been a subscriber since late March and during that time, they have continuously failed to actually monitor ANY movement in my checking account. I have my account set up to notify me of any movement over $100 and proceeded to spend thousands on planning a wedding and home renovations. NOT A SINGLE TRANSACTION WAS NOTICED BY THEIR PRODUCT. So I call them. I explain the situation and am told someone will look into it and call me back. One week later - not a peep. So I call again to be told the the situation has been resolved. Well, guess what, it hasn't. There's still a descrepency of over $6,000 between amounts shown on their site and with my bank. Again, not a single alert was sent to me as they've completely failed to track a cent of movement since April 1st. So, obviously, I tell them to cancel it and request a refund as they've completely failed to uphold their part of the bargain. The rep then informs me that since this was the only part of the service that wasn't working that they will not give me a refund. I'm supposed to take their word for it? The service I signed up for completely failed to work so how the hell do I know that the other stuff is working? Why would I even CONSIDER that it is given my experience? I never received a single alert past the very moment I activated my account. Long story short - they are completely unable to perform the services they advertise and will not offer refunds when you point that out to them. Garbage company, garbage product. Go with a competitor. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I almost signed up for this service partially because it said you could protect your children as well. Their comparison chart made it look as though that service was included in the price stated. However, when I began the process it allowed me to add myself and my husband, and told me that I could add my children AFTER registration/payment as an additional service - but still did not mention a fee. I had to enter a help chat with the company to find out that it is an addition $2.75/month per child. It made me wonder what other services I thought were included are also at an additional cost - the person on the chat said that there is currently no price list to review, but they "plan to add that in the future." It seemed like rather misleading marketing, and did not allow for a fair comparison with other companies, so I'll take my business elsewhere to a company that I feel I can trust more.

Very poor customer service. My account was open for maybe two hours before I closed it. On and off hold for twenty minutes with a rather rude employee. Frustrated, I asked for my account to be deleted. The next day I see I was charged on my bank statement. I contacted them via Live Chat and just happened to chat with the manager from the person I talked to the day before. Was basically told I was wrong and he was only trying to help and they had never charged me so it was my bank's fault. No apologies for what I perceived as a rude person, no understanding of my frustration, just more rudeness and being told that it wasn't rudeness. I recommend people choose a different source of identity protection.

What ever you all do don't try the Credit service Identity Force. Their reports Are incomplete, inaccurate, and deceptive. They promised me a free 14 day trial and then after $19.99, but they charged me instantly. The reports didn't contain any judgements in which they say they provide, yet when I was forwarded to a lady claiming to be a manager reporting directly to the President. Then after I challenged her on this she says she is not the manager and the manager doesn't have time to speak with me. She became belligerent stating "You're not getting any money back and if you read all the terms and conditions before you ordered the service you wouldn't have known that our full credit reports don't include judgements ". I let her know that it can't be a full report from the bureaus if it doesn't contain what's actually on the report. I told her that I have a report from two months ago from the 3 bureaus and one I just paid for because I couldn't believe my judgements were gone, and infact they weren't. I offered to fax them over or email them so they could refund my money and she said she doesn't care to see them and that she won't go over this anymore, and she hung up while I was still talking. Two minutes later I received an email stating my services have been cancelled, but I didn't get a refund. Rude and unprofessional, and run like a collection agency. STAY AWAY!

Worst decision I have made in a long time. They get great reviews, so I signed up. I got emails to activate account, but it failed and I could not access the site. I called technical support and all I got was we will call you back within 24 hours. So now I no access for a service I paid premium to and there is no support whatsoever. In less than 10 hours I'm requesting a refund for this god awful experience. Beware of their poor support model

This company has horrible customer service. I was unable to get into my own account after receiving an alert. My password was not working and when I tried to reset my password the answer to my security question was also not working. They weren't open during the weekend so I had to wait until this morning to get a response. In order for them to reset my account for an error on THEIR end I was going to have to fax in my picture ID and a utility bill. My husband and I canceled our accounts.

Sounded great, it does not work with most banks however. I have a larger bank with 4 locations, and my bank can't be covered since it is not listed. Customer Serivice was horrible and could not help. I had to cancel since they can't help me enter a bank.
