Founded in 1978, IdentityForce provides comprehensive identity theft protection services to individuals, businesses, and government agencies. The company strives to provide an intuitive user experience, easy enrollment, and a US-based call center staffed by caring and responsive agents who speak multiple languages.
IdentityForce services include 24/7 financial and credit monitoring services, bank and credit card activity alerts, privacy tools for credit reports and credit scores regarding all three major credit bureaus, and identity theft insurance. IdentityForce strives to protect its customers from identity thieves by providing "first-class customer services from live, trained experts" along with keeping customer privacy and information as secure as possible.
As far as identity theft protection goes, IdentityForce does a good job of offering several monitoring services to better protect customers' identities from theft. The company provides triple-bureau credit monitoring, financial account monitoring, social security number monitoring, cyber monitoring, court record monitoring, payday loan monitoring, and sex offender monitoring. Identity theft cases and data breaches have proven that having identity protection can be worthwhile.
IdentityForce promises to send all of its customers rapid alerts if any suspicious activity is detected. The type of alerts sent to customers include bank and credit card activity alerts, smart social security number alerts, junk mail opt-out, identity threat alerts, and identity fraud alerts. IdentityForce also provides customers with a two-factor authentication which gives members a second form of authentication (a verification code) that is often delivered by phone, email, or text.
IdentityForce offers a number of full-service restoration services, including financial, medical, and criminal identity recovery to members who become identity theft victims. Additionally, IdentityForce will help customers cancel cards and replace documents in the event of a stolen or lost wallet. IdentityForce provides toll-free customer service to help with identity restoration. These identity theft recovery services are only offered to customers who have fallen victim to identity theft while using IdentityForce services. IdentityForce has Certified Protection Experts who are available around-the-clock and are set to handle all paperwork and phone calls that accompany identity theft restoration.
IdentityForce customers can rest assured that they will be covered if they become a victim of identity theft; the company offers up to $1 million in insurance that reimburses customers for expenses related to the theft. according to the IdentityForce website, this customer insurance policy assists in recovering "out-of-pocket expenses and lost wages when your identity is stolen".
The company offers two identity protection plans. These IdentityForce plans include the UltraSecure plan which costs $17.95 per month (or $179.50 per year) and the UltraSecure+Credit plan which is priced at $23.95 per month (or $239.50 per year). The UltraSecure plan includes all identity monitoring services, alerts, control tools and protection (including lost wallet protection), as well as all recovery options. Meanwhile, the UltraSEcure+Credit includes all of the same features as the UltraSecure plan along with three bureau credit monitoring, credit reports, credit scores, credit score tracker, and credit score simulator. All pricing is transparent and can be easily found on the IdentityForce website.
IdentityForce offers helpful educational resources on its website like videos, brochures, product comparisons, white papers, quizzes, ebooks, a blog, and much more. These resources cover topics like digital identity protection, data breach technology and information, credit protection, identity fraud, and identity theft, etc.
Unfortunately, IdentityForce does not offer recovery assistance to consumers with pre-existing identity theft conditions while some other companies in the identity theft protection industry do offer this service. Those with pre-existing identity theft conditions may want to consider other options in regards to recovery and restoration. The lack of assistance with pre-existing conditions may drive customers away from using the company's services.
IdentityForce does not provide any anti-virus software or anti-phishing software that many other identity protection companies offer. IdentityForce customers must seek outside software and purchase it on their own. The lack of anti-virus and anti-phishing software leaves customers with some vulnerability when it comes to their personal computers.

The service sounds like a good idea, but many of the reports are useless. When you find issues in some of the reports, customer service will tell you there is nothing they can do. The family plan, which is listed without any information, actually has a fairly steep price to add one other adult. You can only add one adult, so if you want to add children who are over 18, forget it. I paid for the credit monitoring service, but now it appears that is something I was already doing for free, but it does make it easier. I tried to find out more about the lost wallet feature. I'm unclear if they will actually make the calls if I'm out of the country and lose my wallet or if I will still need to make the calls myself.
Do not fall for this nonsense. This company is a scam. They will take your money, and deliver nothing.
I have had this service since November. The first month I had to contact them because they continued to send me duplicates for the same transactions. With their duel security measures to sign into your account, I was unable to log in after giving the correct information when they send you a code via text message. I had to contact them and get rid of the second mode of security. Two of my credit card accounts have been hacked into and the credit card company's were the ones to make me aware of this. I have received alerts about transactions that happened over a month ago from them which I find ridiculous if they were had been unauthorized. If there was a way for me to be refunded for the remainder of my subscription, I would take it. This has been a total waste of money. I have no confidence that this company is doing anything to keep any aspect of my identity safe. Also when I had contacted their customer support because they sent an alert that suggested that an account was opened without my knowledge, he was rude and didn't know why they sent that because no one had opened a new account.
This company has horrible customer service. I was unable to get into my own account after receiving an alert. My password was not working and when I tried to reset my password the answer to my security question was also not working. They weren't open during the weekend so I had to wait until this morning to get a response. In order for them to reset my account for an error on THEIR end I was going to have to fax in my picture ID and a utility bill. My husband and I canceled our accounts.
I originally chose IdentityForce because they had good reviews. However, after 2 months of having IdentityForce it began to seem like I was paying for a service that did the bare minimum. I searched my name on Google and my personal information was on several sites. When I contacted Identity Force to ask why I hadn't been notified about this they said that there was nothing they could do about it and in order to have it removed I would have to pay those particular third party sites to have it removed. I took it upon myself to contact those third party sites to have my information removed and what do you know, they removed it for FREE. After I told Identity Force that I was able to remove my personal information on my own, they made no effort to make things right , apologize or regain my confidence in their services. I told them I was still unhappy and as a result they cancelled my account. Since then I have registered with LifeLock and have already been extremely pleased with their services and security and it has only been a few days since I opened my account. If you want the bare minimum go with IdentityForce. I would never recommend their services to anyone I know.
Sounded great, it does not work with most banks however. I have a larger bank with 4 locations, and my bank can't be covered since it is not listed. Customer Serivice was horrible and could not help. I had to cancel since they can't help me enter a bank.
I would highly recommend avoiding this service. I've been a subscriber since late March and during that time, they have continuously failed to actually monitor ANY movement in my checking account. I have my account set up to notify me of any movement over $100 and proceeded to spend thousands on planning a wedding and home renovations. NOT A SINGLE TRANSACTION WAS NOTICED BY THEIR PRODUCT. So I call them. I explain the situation and am told someone will look into it and call me back. One week later - not a peep. So I call again to be told the the situation has been resolved. Well, guess what, it hasn't. There's still a descrepency of over $6,000 between amounts shown on their site and with my bank. Again, not a single alert was sent to me as they've completely failed to track a cent of movement since April 1st. So, obviously, I tell them to cancel it and request a refund as they've completely failed to uphold their part of the bargain. The rep then informs me that since this was the only part of the service that wasn't working that they will not give me a refund. I'm supposed to take their word for it? The service I signed up for completely failed to work so how the hell do I know that the other stuff is working? Why would I even CONSIDER that it is given my experience? I never received a single alert past the very moment I activated my account. Long story short - they are completely unable to perform the services they advertise and will not offer refunds when you point that out to them. Garbage company, garbage product. Go with a competitor. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
I almost signed up for this service partially because it said you could protect your children as well. Their comparison chart made it look as though that service was included in the price stated. However, when I began the process it allowed me to add myself and my husband, and told me that I could add my children AFTER registration/payment as an additional service - but still did not mention a fee. I had to enter a help chat with the company to find out that it is an addition $2.75/month per child. It made me wonder what other services I thought were included are also at an additional cost - the person on the chat said that there is currently no price list to review, but they "plan to add that in the future." It seemed like rather misleading marketing, and did not allow for a fair comparison with other companies, so I'll take my business elsewhere to a company that I feel I can trust more.
IdentityForce offers amazing service. When I spoke with the rep on the phone, they were very knowledgeable and actually seemed to care about me as a customer. I had no idea that there were so many things they monitored. Totally shocked when I saw there were more than 10 people on the sex offender list that lived near my house. I would highly recommend this company.
I received courteous, respectful and quick service when I contacted the company. I've just signed up, so can not speak to their quality long term.
Seemed like an OK outfit until.....................I needed them last weekend. i got a text alert from these folks this past weekend. Not understanding the alert clearly, I called for help on my issue and here is where the wheels fell off. Ready for this? These guys go home for the weekend! Yep. Gone Fri. afternoon. Yes, they do have an outfit available on weekends .....if you experienced a breech in your security. A subcontracted, separate outfit. will give you some info and create a case......but IDForce ain't around 'til Monday. Holy Smoke. So, I have to switch because when I need help........I need help!
Very poor customer service. My account was open for maybe two hours before I closed it. On and off hold for twenty minutes with a rather rude employee. Frustrated, I asked for my account to be deleted. The next day I see I was charged on my bank statement. I contacted them via Live Chat and just happened to chat with the manager from the person I talked to the day before. Was basically told I was wrong and he was only trying to help and they had never charged me so it was my bank's fault. No apologies for what I perceived as a rude person, no understanding of my frustration, just more rudeness and being told that it wasn't rudeness. I recommend people choose a different source of identity protection.
What ever you all do don't try the Credit service Identity Force. Their reports Are incomplete, inaccurate, and deceptive. They promised me a free 14 day trial and then after $19.99, but they charged me instantly. The reports didn't contain any judgements in which they say they provide, yet when I was forwarded to a lady claiming to be a manager reporting directly to the President. Then after I challenged her on this she says she is not the manager and the manager doesn't have time to speak with me. She became belligerent stating "You're not getting any money back and if you read all the terms and conditions before you ordered the service you wouldn't have known that our full credit reports don't include judgements ". I let her know that it can't be a full report from the bureaus if it doesn't contain what's actually on the report. I told her that I have a report from two months ago from the 3 bureaus and one I just paid for because I couldn't believe my judgements were gone, and infact they weren't. I offered to fax them over or email them so they could refund my money and she said she doesn't care to see them and that she won't go over this anymore, and she hung up while I was still talking. Two minutes later I received an email stating my services have been cancelled, but I didn't get a refund. Rude and unprofessional, and run like a collection agency. STAY AWAY!
I've only had Ultrasecure + for one month and I already love the included anti-keystroke logging software, and the warnings when I am potentially being directed to a "phishing" website. I also love the ability to delete my personal info from showing up on public websites. They do it all for you. I also love that they are protecting my Medical insurance/ID Number. I don't believe the other top companies do this yet, and this is the top reason I have dropped my former ID protection choice and have gone with Identity Force. They literally write a letter for you (after you fill out a few fields), for you to print and submit it to your health insurance carrier, requesting an EOB (Explanation of Benefits) for all services rendered for the past year (so you will know if anyone has been using your medical insurance number and deriving benefits). So far, I love it.
I was out of the country on vacation when I received an alert that the credit card I was using may have been compromised. I called customer service and they were VERY helpful. I had done my research on identity protection companies and read many reviews, I'm so happy that I chose IdentityForce to protect my family, their service passed the test!
Great customer service.
Best identity theft protection.
I like the service a lot, but they have no mobile app.
Signed up a few months ago and I just got around to check my credit reports. Unfortunately I needed to dispute some information, but I couldn't figure out how to do it directly from my identity force account. I called them and the woman who took my call was very nice and she showed me how to do it – it was very easy once she explained how to do it.
Very solid product. With so many data breaches, everybody should be protected against identity theft.
With all the recent data breaches, having Identity Force makes me feel much more secure!
I received an alert to my phone. Way to go Identity Force – I feel totally protected :-)
so far okay
The only reason to pay for an identity theft service is to have someone else clean up the mess when you're a victim. Identity Theft Shield does that. With credit monitoring and paying attention to our accounts, an insurance policy is a non-issue. Because if you report invalid charges or new accounts in a timely manner, financial institutions cannot hold you financially responsible.
I love the fact that I can pull my reports 4 times each year!
My wife and I have been using this company for about a year and a half now and they have never failed to send both monthly alerts and updates on our ID risks. We also did alot of research ahead of time and found that Identity Force was one of the most trusted ID protection companies. Very satisfied!
The family plan is really great, my kids are covered for less than $3 a month, and it includes insurance. I wish they would have a mobile app though
After much research, I found out that this is one of the few companies (may be the only one) that offers insurance in NY.
This computer protection is really great! I can easily see if a site is not legit and I know were not to put my credit card information (I do a ton of online shopping).
Very happy. They cost a little more, but I work in finance, and have seen what can happen to people who aren't proactive. I researched other companies and what they offered, it seems these guys offer me the most for my money. You get what you pay for.
It took me a bit long to get to a person in customer service (about 3 minutes), but when I got connected the rep was very helpful and knowledgeable.
I have been using Identity Force since January 15th of this year and really like the fact that I get quarterly credit reports and scores from all three of the major bureaus. I shopped several companies on-line and could not find another that provides as many unique features as Identity Force. In my opinion it is extremely important to view your credit report a minimum of 4 times a year. I would highly recommend their UltraSecure +Credit product to anyone.
I have a few friends that joined Identity Force. They love the service and suggested I join to protect myself, and my wife and kids. I have had a great experience so far. The alerts are on target and their customer service people know their stuff.
I have been a user of IdentityForce for just about a year. I like the options offered, it covers my credit cards, bank account info, ss#, and I get a credit score update each month, which is nice. I also have my 2 young kids covered for under $4/month! I only had to call one time about an alert- and their customer service was really great and didn't put me on hold, or make me feel like my question was silly- but seemed they cared. I trust them. They've earned a solid reputation as far as I'm concerned. I would, and have, recommended them.
I did a ton of research before choosing Identity Force, I had this service for over 2 years now, I am very happy with the service!
