Comprehensive Credit Monitoring Services

Those with a ScoreSense membership will have access to credit scores and credit reports from each major credit reporting agency (TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian), as well as credit report monitoring with instant activity alerts. Additionally, the company scans millions of public and private databases for suspicious activity.

As a part of its credit monitoring service, ScoreSense will send out instant credit alerts to ensure that customers catch any errors like unauthorized charges and fraud early on. Customers can get alerts for changes relating to credit history, delinquent payments, and new account openings. 

Identity Monitoring Alerts

According to the company's website, ScoreSense will send social security number alerts, credit card and debit card alerts, driver's license alerts, fraud alerts, payday loan alerts, and more. 

Identity Theft Insurance

ScoreSense provides its customers with up to $1 million in identity theft reimbursement insurance. This policy covers lost wages, legal costs, and other expenses related to identity restoration.

ScoreSense's ScoreTracker tool only features credit scores that were recently purchased and does not seem to offer free credit reports or free credit scores. For updated information, members must pay an additional one-time fee or upgrade their account. 

No Fraud Resolution Services

Unlike many other identity theft protection companies, ScoreSense does not seem to offer support from experienced fraud resolution specialists in the event of an identity theft attack. Instead, identity theft victims must dispute claims on their own.

Although the company does offer a dispute center, customers may still face uncertainty when disputing errors and fraud on their own.

About 9 months ago while going over some financial statements I noticed a charge on my credit card that I knew nothing about so I got on the phone and called the number which was provided, Gave them my name and told them that I had never even heard of the company much less sign up to receive their services. This company is called Score Sense. They told me that there was no account associated with my name. I gave them the last 4 digits of my cc and they informed me that there was in fact an account but it wasn't mine. I informed them that I had NOT given anyone permission to use my card and to cancel the account. I have contacted several attorneys about the situation and they cannot believe that it is still going on. Score Sense will not only be compensating what they stole but, for the thousands of victims that have been targeted by them will hopefully seek justice as well.

I've also had ScoreSense for years, with good success in the aspects for which it was needed. When I felt that the monthly fee was too draining, I called to cancel my subscription. I spoke to a young rep who assisted me in getting a rate reduction (not insignificant) each month, for which I was grateful and continued my subscription. I have not regretted my decision.

I enjoy my Scoresense. Those giving bad reviews did not read the disclaimer or anything else. Scores are based on formulas which are industry specific, for which there are over a hundred formulas to calculate your score. Their's are based on Vantage and they tell you these are their scores. Dealerships use an Auto based formula which is usually a FICO 8 Auto score. Learn before you blame and read before you agree. I can go on about Scoresense and to let everyone know, Scoresense is the only credit service that is FTC compliant. PLEASE READ DISCLAIMERS and AGREEMENTS on websites before you commit. They are absolutely free for the trial period which starts when you agree to terms and conditions and the EMAIL THEY SEND you tells when to call and what time to call BEFORE you are charged. I cleaned up my own credit report using this service and I have helped many more do the same with this service and also showed people how to use the other services they provide. And I have tried other services including the credit bureaus, They all give you a score based on THEIR formula. Try scoresense, call and ask about all the services they offer and use them and if you wish to cancel call BEFORE the time and date SPECIFIED in the e-mail.

this company stole 29 dollars, this might not seem like a lot but it was to me when it is a week before pay day. I needed a free credit report, score-sense offered a 1.00 trial, i joined and ended up being charged 29 dollars a week later. I call and explained the error and they denied my refund because I filed the request after the transaction, how was I supposed to know i was being charged? i did not receive any email of the activated service, and is is suspiciously easy to get this monthly charge.

I’ve been with ScoreSense for years. Never have I had an issue with them. People need to learn how to read after the word “FREE”. It clearly states on top of the page “it’s $1 and 7 day free trial. If you don’t call to cancel prior you’ll automatically get charged.” And they even send you an email too. Read ppl!

I used this service but cancelled it because my bank gave me a free service. Now I’m thinking of signing up again. I haven’t had near the service I had with Scoresense. They were easy to talk to and I had no problem with refunds. The bad reviews on here seem to be from people who didn’t do their homework.

Whatever you do, do NOT give this company any of your credit card information. I signed up for an account wanting to get an accurate assessment of my credit score. There is a 7 day free trial so I thought why not. Once I tried to cancel the acc, I found out there is no way to cancel the account yourself through the company’s website. You have to call a representative just to cancel, which I did. The entire time I was on the phone with one of their representatives she basically kept heckling me to keep the account. This became an extremely drawn out convo for what should take 5 seconds. Super shady company. Don’t sign up, I wish I hadn’t. Now I have to worry ab them having my credit card info & still potentially charging me because of how much I DONT trust them… Avoid them at all cost.

Stay away from this company it is an absolute scam. first of all they know that their service isn't worth 29.95 they only use that hoping that you will miss the seven day free trial ending and you'll have to end up paying that. I called to complain and without hesitation they dropped in to $12.96(still not worth it). and then little on later I find out that they are charging me a second account on 29.95 under my father's name who is a 70 year old Purple Hearted Vietnam veteran and also retired police officer. My father lives with me because he is fighting cancer due to Agent Orange exposure over in Vietnam. This company is basically saying my father set up a account which I know is a lie because my dad has no idea how to work a smartphone or computer. So this company is definitely not a supporter of our veterans or police officers, in fact the "Higher Management" person that got back to me had to be put in a Spit Mask by law enforcement for being disorderly and spitting on cops. Real great company right, also I have asked for a phone call a half a dozen times now and have been completely ignored for over a week now.. Criminals!!!!

Absolute SCAM!!! We thought we paid off and closed a Chase CC back in 2010 and then a couple months ago we received a letter from Chase )that went to an old address we lived at when we thought we closed the card) that showed we have been getting charged $29.99 for the past 6+ yrs! My wife and i got on a 3 way call this morning with both Chase and ScoreSense with zero resolution. The customer rep (Leah) from ScoreSense sounded all of 16yrs old and wouldn't deviate from her script she was reading and had a scary amount of our personal information. the end result was since they had our personal information Chase couldn't deem this as fraudulent and we had to pay $1,000 in all of these fees.. What this company is doing should be illegal!!! total SCAM! i wish we could escalate within Scoresense!

This company is a money hungry scam. Buyers BEWARE!! They will bill you a $1.00 With your credit card and then within a week they take $40 more out of your account and they will not refund it! This is not good business practice and it is offensive and wrong especially to people who have income issues like myself on a limited income. They do not care at all and have customer service reps with an attitude. There is no open negotiation nor arbitration! I am going to be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and the federal trade commission! I was tricked into signing up for a free scoresense acct. I used an emergency acct email. Months later I learned they were "hitting" my account for $39.95 per month. They hit me 14 times. I begged on three different calls that I didn't sign up for this after the free month. They gave me four payments back. They made me agree not to go after them and they will give me two now payments. Fast forward a few months I emailed them that I wanted the other 8 payments they stole from me. The snarky guy told me "Well that's not gonna happen" What a horrible company. I hope they fold. Enjoy my money you stole from me and my family.

Signed up for a "refundable" $1 brief credit report. The application did not state anywhere that I would henceforth be charged $39.95 for a monthly membership. Nor did I see an option to be refunded the $1 (again, scam to get you to use their service). Immediately when I saw the $39.95 charge on my account, I reached out to them. The consultant was very kind and walked me through the steps I needed to take, albeit trying to sell me all different kinds of services along the way. However, I received an update saying my refund was not approved because I "requested the refund after my communicated billing date." NOTHING WAS COMMUNICATED. Shady business practice at best, desperate to get a buck from people. Never will I speak highly of, use, or recommend ScoreSense to anyone. UPDATE: Once I left reviews and tried to argue for the $39.95 charge to my account, I received an email saying this charge had been approved for a refund, which appeard in my account 2 days later. Thank you, ScoreSense, for resolving this issue. My trust in this company was definitely restored.

Neither my wife nor I can ever recall signing up for a monthly credit report service. Yet we recently discovered that a company called ScoreSense and/or One Technologies, LLC of Dallas, Texas has been charging us a monthly fee of $29.95 since the beginning of 2018 for it. However, a customer service agent we contacted verified that we have not been receiving them by mail or accessing them online. Even so, the company is refusing to refund our money which now amounts to $299.50. I believe ScoreSense/One Technologies is practicing "predatory" sales practices and enrolling people, like us, unwittingly in some kind of a monthly credit report subscription plan. But it's a scam. Holly and I wouldn't know what to do with a monthly credit report even if we had one. Please help us recover our money and stop them from doing this to other people.

Stay away!!! My story was the same as everyone else's. I was looking for the legitimate free credit score site when I got suckered into going to this rip-off one. They offer you your free credit report then charge $1 for it. Shady, but not that bad. But then they sign you up for a $29.95/month subscription without telling you. I never got an email from them about it, never saw anything about it on the site... until a month later when I was charged for it. Surprise! Losers. So I tried calling their customer service only to have to listen to a recording for 5 minutes trying to get me to accept a "free" Caribbean cruise I had won for $65... Then another 5 minutes of another recording trying to get me to buy some sort of health service... Then when I declined that, the phone says, "Thank you. Good bye" and hangs up. Idiots. I finally got their cancellation department and they promised to "see what they could do about the refund." My guess is they'll do NOTHING. (Oh, and as a sidenote, the services they provide for that $29.95 subscription are all useless crap.)

This company gets NO stars. I signed up for this "free" service because I was violated by scam artists. This company said when I gave them my banking account information that no money would be taken out except the 1 dollar that was for verification purposes. Pay pal did the same thing so I didn't think anything of it. Ten days later they took $30 bucks out of my account for some premium crap I know I didn't sign up for. I called their customer service right away to get a refund and cancel my "subscription" and the entire time I was on the phone with them, even after I EXPLICITLY said I did NOT want a subscription I did not sign up for a subscription he tried to sell me other products. I literally told him 15 times I did not sign up for their paid service and I did NOT want their paid service. The customer service agent said he would send my refund in to review which of course got denied because I had the audacity to have this service unwittingly for seven days until I noticed they stole my money. As far as I'm concerned these corporate scumbags are just as bad as the scam artists who tried to steal my identity in the first place. Worse because they hid behind their lies veiled by help.

If I can give this company zero star, I will do it. They took $29 out of my account without letting me know. I only wanted to check my credit score and they charge me $29 per month ??? Seriously I called them the First time and the lady said I’ll get a refund. Two days later, I received an email saying I wasn’t approved because “ The refund decision is based in part on how long the account has been active and the services provided.” I’m sorry but you provided me no services and My account is not active. I called them again and they said they will find a solution. I’m waiting!!! If I don’t get my refund, I’ll sue them.

This is a scam. “One time fee of $4.95” automatically enrolls you in $39.99 a month membership , with no warning what-so-ever. There is not even a hint that you will be charged anything beyond the initial $4.95. The only reason I found out is because I found the reviews on this website, and called to ask them if I would be charged $39.99 despite NOT signing up to pay that. Customer service representative said yes, and acted as if she had no idea why it would automatically enroll me in the $39.99 program. Then tried to up-sell me with other offers despite my repeated requests for cancellation.

I wanted to try the 7 day trial using scoresense. I thought I would be able to cancel the subscription online. This was not an option. My 7th day fell on a Sunday and of course there were no representatives available. I call the following day, and I said that I wanted to cancel my subscription. She continued to pressure me into trying for a 30 day trial for free, identity theft, etc. I repeatedly said no. I asked her for my refund because of the situation and unfair that “we” can’t cancel online. The representative told me she would submit a form for my refund. I got an email saying that I was approved for my refund....a whole 1$ out of a 39.95$. Wow

I have been using my ScoreSense since February 2013. My agreement with them $9.95 per month which I've paid 63 months of that price. They have recently changed their credit reporting interface/website and I am not able to see the "Account ALERTS" anymore. I wait for 3 days then gave them a call this morning. They said in order to see my Alerts I have to pay $12.99. It is a stupid thing. I had an agreement and I should be able to see my Alerts in my membership. But the representative canceled my membership right away because they want more money! There are many free credit reporting systems and they are honest I am sure. Don't trust SCORESENSE at all. Please stay away...

Flase Advertisement! I signed up and my wife signed up for the free credit score. Before the trial period ran out we called to cancel. Cancel both accounts. Following month my credit card gets charged $29.95. I called asked what the heck they thought they was doing charging me after i called to cancel. They said NO call was ever made to do such a thing. I said you guys are liar my Magic Jack phone record has all called inbound and out bound tracked and printed out on ledger and i can prove i called! The person on the other end choked up and said well lets make this right ill send you over to a specialist to get the money refunded and the account closed out. I went with there crap. Days later no money back. Called again and complained and this time threaten to take legal action. Finley they coughed up the refund. 2 Months goes by and keep in mind I canceled my wife account the same time and even verified it was canceled in my 3rd call to score sense. Tow months goes by they charge my wife $29.95 not once but twice in the same month. I find this out through my bank. I call and I am fuming angry. They claim they got no such call on both accounts. I am arguing with none stop and again threaten to take legal action. They put me on the phone with Charlie ID # 8 Charlie sounds Russian in fact all there staff at Score sense sounds Russian. Charlie asks a bunch of personal questions avoiding to answer me about his Business Office Address, His Business Identification number and the Owner Legal name. Charlie just keeps saying the money will be refunded, the money will be refunded. No money. Charlie and his company a bunch of frauds and is running an illegal business. My next phone call to the local city business office to see if Charlie and his company out of the Garage is legit. File a complaint there as well as the Texas Attorney general and my States Attorney general. After today this will be the end of Score Sense for illegal theft of peoples funds. False advertisement and crooked business dealings! Answer Question #4 more accurately, I was not a willing paid customer of Score Sense. They stole from me and called it a customer relationship!

I joined ScoreSense to see if it would be a good alternative to my memberships with Experian and creditreport.com. Subsequently, what I found was significant inaccuracy. The scores reported via ScoreSense were as high as 100 points off! Any consumer who is new to this would continue to pay the $39.95 unsuspectedly. I wrote this review to advise that just like credit Karma and credit wise , ScoreSense is not accurate. If you want an accurate credit report, you will have to go to the source. Creditreport.com is on point and cost $24.95 a month with the ability to see all three credit reports, dispute inaccurate info, monitoring, and Identity protection. If you are serious about maintaining your credit or repairing it do not use ScoreSense because it is not an accurate depiction of your real credit scores. Additionally, $39.95 is a bit high for inaccurate information. *****Buyers Beware******

I called to cancel my membership about 6 days after i started the trial period, i was charged the $29.95, i asked rep if i would be charged the total $29.95 if i cancelled, she advised me that she would put in a refund request never stating it eould me a request only and i could be denied, if she had told me that i would have continued the service for the entire period however she did start trying to sell me everything the company had including the same service i tried and more for only $5.95 monthly?? My problem is she was misleading me and if this is the way this company does business, $29.95 is chesp for me to find out how they do business, just be aware of this company, they could get rich off ripping off custoners for $29.95.

They make all kinds of promises to the customers and don't deliver. I see on a daily basis makes me want to cry. Even as a independent associate I have begged for them to do right and always brushed off by suppervisors. I do feel some reps at home office do care but there hands are tired. I could write a book of what I seen of lies to customers and lies to independent assoicates. This my opinions you can form your own. I have tried to use my membership 3 times with no success was always brushed off. I feel they are in breach on contract. I never felt this scamed until I met this company. It's sad corperate world made a bad name for this previous family owned company. I pray that things will change but it is all about money they proved that to me and my family.

I feel the company is almost a scam. I never received an email saying I was going to be charged. As soon as I saw a charge on my bank I looked up and called them. The agent kept offering me different services, while also telling me she would put in for a refund. They refunded a $1, but not the $39.95 they billed. I'm just thankful I caught it as soon as charged to be aware so my account didn't go negative!! I feel this company is sneaky the way they do business. I mean is the only way they can get customers to trick them??? Update the company did refund my $39.95 charge! So the customer service response was better than I thought.

My husband and I have had some hard times recently; he lost his job, and in order to take a job, he had to move from our home in Utah to the east coast, had to stay in a hotel at his own expense for a month, and then come up with the money for deposit for an apartment, and when we thought that things had finally settled, he had a car accident. In order to get him a new vehicle quickly, we had to get a small loan to cover what the insurance didn't cover on our totaled vehicle. Somehow, in the process of applying for this loan, we also "applied" for this very expensive credit monitoring service that we did not know we even had until I saw the payment go through today on my bank statement. I asked my husband what it was, and he thought it was something I had signed up for so he hadn't questioned it. They had managed to get three payments of $29.99 out of us before we noticed. I don't need credit monitoring--I get it free as I am a federal employee, and we also get it free from our bank. So this is not something that either of us signed up for on our own free will. I called the very very annoying call center lady and she "couldn't find my account." Even though her company had been withdrawing money from my bank account. Then she asked what my husband's name was, and all the sudden, she found it. Then she told me this story about it was his account and she could only talk to him about it--bye. What rubbish!!! He never applied for any account like this. So, when gets off work and calls her, she's going to say that I set up the account and that she can only talk to me, right? Has anyone gone to BBB in regards to this company? Because taking money from someone's bank account under false pretenses and not refunding it when requested is theft.

Do not remember signing up for this service when requesting free credit report from TransUnion. Now billed $39.95 for something I cannot afford. Called twice (once to ask how this happened & again to cancel the service). Agent kept offering me different fees to allow me to keep part of their service & even 30 day free trial, which I would not accept. There is something very wrong here that I am being billed this amount when I never saw anything about cancelling in 7 days for a free trial. How can this keep happening to people? I certainly can not afford this extra bill when it is around the holidays & I can barely afford anything extra. In fact, not giving gifts this year or celebrating the holidays.

I've never heard, signed up or logged in for this scoresense service ever until yesterday after my wife mentioned I was been charged a $29.95 maintenance fee from a Credit card I hardly ever use, me saying no way the credit card company doesn't charge that monthly. I looked into the charge of $29.95 to see it's from scoresense.com, never using this service I was confused by the charge, so I searched the internet and emails trying to find some information. I found a number and called to find out how they got my information and why I'm being charged, they told me they've been charging me this $29.95 fee monthly since June of 2014. WOW I was totally baffled, over 3 years of charges for a service I've never signed up for, logged into or even heard of. No refund was given or even offered, and no explanation of how they even got my information. Extremely dissatisfied with this situation. Keep a look out this this scamming company Scoresense.com

I have been a member for over 3 years, all of the sudden they cancelled my account because of non payment, I had automatic withdrawal for payment, I check with the bank, there was money in the account and there is no trace of the transaction. There was no notification neither. They want me to re enroll at the escalated price. I don't believe in companies that do not care about their costumers, and scoresense being in the business of checking and informing costumers about their finances should have been able at least to keep me informed about issues with their own account, this episode left me with a lot of doubts about their effectiveness at monitoring.

Get someone else to look at your credit. These guys are thieves. 1. Wasn't warned that I was signing up for a MEMBERSHIP. 2. They auto drafted my acct. Like, the 1 dollar draft, no problem. I knew that was happening: but the $40 auto draft? Not cool. Then, they lied about it, saying I got a call AND e-mail about it before they pulled the monthly dues. Didn't happen. I would be willing to show you my call history and emails. 3. They will NOT refund me anything, because I'm asking for the refund AFTER they pulled the money. Because I can predict the future apparently ScoreSense, you suck. Never again. Oh, and they're going to try and keep you a member by offering this, that and the other.. You screwed me out of groceries for the week, so thanks, but NO THANKS.

So I opened the service and received the 7 days free. I viewed my scores and no longer needed the service so on Saturday I tried to cancel but you have to call instead of doing it online. I ended up calling the day after I was billed to cancel. I accidentally waited until after I was billed I called to cancel, thinking I'd use it for the 30 days since I paid for one month. That isn't the case I was billed for 39.99 and once you cancel you no longer have any access to the website. Also the rep offered me every service imaginable, everything form 30 days free to half price services. I just wanted to cancel and receive a refund. Other credit services let you cancel online and it's not as much of a hasel. I'd look into other agencies.

Called a month ago to cancel my membership. noticed my bank does the same shit for free. girl said it was cancelled and i wouldn't be charged, a month later i was charged in an account that had no money so i was in the hole. $64. called again. girl said there was never a record of me calling to cancel. was given a spill for 15 minutes about how i needed the service. she got rude with me when i said i didn't want the marketing ploy i just wanted to cancel and get my money back. she then told me they tried to charge me the last 4 months but it didn't work. that is when i got pissed and told her i had all my bank statements to prove it and that i wanted to talk to someone else. she then told me it would be cancelled. she went on about how i would need it and i asked her if i was getting refunded my money she said they would review it but probably not since it shows i didn't call. bunch of bulshit they wont redund my money! even after i proved i called!!

This service is not what it says! Do not inquire about their service, they will charge you a membership fee & then when you notice you've been charged on your bank statement, they will not refund it!! We've had recent conversation w/ them & this is the recent reply we sent. "OMGosh… you are kidding me! I rec'd my bank statement shortly after this charge, not realizing I was being charge. I only inquired about the service & not knowing a membership fee was being created. I immediately ScoreSense, possibly Nov 23 or 24th that this was in error & I didn't not mean to acquire the membership. I rec'd 2 emails at that time saying my complete refund would occur. In looking at my next bank statement this did not occur, so I contacted you the other day in reference to this. Now you are telling me ScoreSense doesn't refund memberships even when consumers say they do not wish your services. I have not used your service in any way & I'm being charged $39.95!!!! I have not accessed this service since notifying ScoreSense in later Nov or even before then, other than to inquire about your services. I'm unable to produce these 2 emails, since my wife assumed the credit had been taken care in Nov & deleted all all our old emails. Please reconsider refunding me the full amount! Thanks you!! I did a google search for free annual report and was redirected to ScoreSense. I needed all 3 reports and have never used this site so was unfamiliar thinking it was free. They requested a credit card to verify identity to charge a dollar, so I went on to submit it. I later found out if I did not cancel within 7 days I would be charged. Day 8 I called to cancelled, they would not refund my 40$ because I was a day late. They obviously don't know the value of customer service, & satisfaction. I bought a less expensive version of their service even thought I've been with free credit report for 7 years. They could have had a long term customer but because they wouldn't give me my refund I cancelled the new service as well. They will not make it as a company.

I was billed $39.95 for a service I never authorized. I went online to check my credit report through freecreditreport.com and was redirected to this site. Little did I know they signed me up for a free trial. I never intended to pay their $39.95 and was not aware that they were charging me for membership. I called their customer service and they were rude claiming that the connection was bad. I wanted to cancel and they just gave me the run around. I finally cancelled but not sure of whether they will credit back the money they already took out of my bank account. I can't understand how the can still be operating with all the underhand business they apparently run. THIS IS A SCAM and should be investigated and shut down.

I paid $39.95 for a one-month membership. I missed the cut-off date for the trial period before I was charged. I requested a refund and was denied, which is fine. But when I called in to cancel, they would only do an immediate cancellation, which meant I would get nothing for my $39.95. Or I had to remember to call back exactly at the end of the month, but before the cut off date in order to cancel. Now I don't know about you, but I have more going on in my life than making sure I call on just the right day at just the right time so I don't get charged another $39.95!! Since I paid for one month, I should have gotten one month. Instead I got nothing. I would never use this company and never recommend them, since they are clearly set up so as to take advantage of their customers. Shame on them!

I was applying for a loan. A part of the loan application process the loan automatically sign me up for scoresense.com I didn't even realize it was for scoresense. I got an email saying i signed up for score sense. I immediately called and canceled the same day. And they said they would refund the money pending a decision. I called back a week later two times and the first person was questioning me as if I was lying about not using their service. I'll call for the third time and again another rude customer service person who didn't bother to help me , sucked his teeth when i was inquiring about the refund process.please pay attentio. That your information isnt given out to multiple places, to avoid this happening.

I signed up for an account just to check my credit report and score [because the system is stupid and you HAVE to sign up for an account somewhere to do it]. I check it once a year around this time, and decided to try a new service to see how I liked it. OH MY GOODNESS, don't choose this one. Yeah, I was able to view the information I needed, and it was printable which was SUPER helpful. Unfortunately, it automatically signs you up for a $40/month plan that supposedly does a ton of amazing things like send you email updates when your ss# is being used to open lines of credit/etc, and provides identity theft coverage for up to a $1 million. Cool-- except, I just wanted to see my credit score, really. So, as soon as I'm done reading and printing what I need, I go to the FAQ to find out how to cancel because I couldn't find anything in My Account pages. Turns out, you have to call in. GREAT. So, I call in, and am on the phone for 10 minutes while I try to remain patient and polite while the guy on the other end of the line basically tells me I'm uneducated about finances/identity security because I'm opting out of the service. I'm an educated person and I'm fully aware of how the credit system works -- which is why I'm checking my credit in the first place!! ANYWAY, finally around the 9 minute mark, I say I am absolutely not going to buy any of their products, that I want my account canceled and to be done with it-- he finally gave in and canceled my account, not forgetting to tell me that I should at least have used the 7-day trial to take advantage of what resources I could "like our learning center so you can learn how identity theft works and what your report means". The guy on the phone was seriously worse than a used car salesman. They make sure you have to call in and cancel for a reason. Most of all, I did not appreciate this person's jabs at my intelligence/education level simply because I did not want his product. I also did not appreciate the scare tactics he used regarding identity theft/ etc -- I can easily see how an older person or someone who is not familiar with the actual risks could be tricked. NOT COOL. OVERALL: I use a different site every year just to see what's out there and this is the absolute worst. RUN AWAY.

Horrible company! Don't give them any of your personal or credit card info. They will take advantage of you. They just take it for granted that you know what they are going to do, even if you don't agree to it. I'm very very very disappointed with ScoreSense. I agreed to pay only $1.00 to view my "free" credit report! NOT $39.95! I signed up twice, one for me and one for my husband. So, I was expecting the $1.00 fee twice, but not the $1 fee PLUS $39.99 twice. I looked just now on the website, and yes, on the very top of the page there is mention of a "free 7-day trial" and then after there is a "monthly $39.95 charge," BUT, I did not agree to this! ONLY the $1.00 charge. I have now researched ScoreSense and I'm learning that ScoreSense is very much a sneaky scam company. I left a message with ScoreSense, but I doubt I'll get a call back, companies like you don't ever call back. So, I thought I'd email, but again companies like you don't know how to do proper business, so I'm going to call again and keep trying to get this situation taken care of and refunded my $79.90. Again, never was I aware or notified and never agreed to these charges while filling out the online forms and then trusting my most secure personal and credit card information. If ScoreSense has any sense, they would do business professionally and right. Instead ScoreSense has a horrible reputation for taking advantage people's vulnerability in their time of need, and then pose as if they did forewarn about those monthly charges and they got the okay from the consumer. But in actuality the monthly charges for a membership was an option, not one that I sign to! I did NOT sign up for the 7-day trial and then monthly membership if I did not call to cancel!!! I only agreed to the $1.00 charge! I only viewed credit score once and that was when I paid my $1.00. And my husband only viewed his credit score once and that was when paid $1.00 for his account. We NEVER intended to view our credit scores again. We NEVER agreed to the $39.95 membership fee!

ScoreSense purchases credit reports from a credit agency called Transrisk. ScoreSense is nothing but a secondary tier that does nothing for the member, and charges monthly for the privilege. I would rename the company "Nonsense" if I could. I found out from B of A that my actual Experian credit score is 90 points below what ScoreSense shows I spoke to a Supervisor at ScoreSense after getting nowhere with the initial phone specialist (who can neither spell nor listen and wasted 10 minutes finding my member number. The Supervisor prefaced our conversation with his disclaimer "I know nothing about credit" to which I queried "I thought you were the Supervisor." He then negated what the initial rep. had said she would do to cancel my membership. Fly-By-Night company that should fail soon. I have paid $20 per month for two years for absolutely nothing. Avoid.

If I could give them a negative score I would. I started the 7 day free trial and immediately knew the scores were completely wrong. I pulled all three of my credit reports from all three credit bureaus directly and the scores were way higher. I called and cancelled the day after I signed up and of course it was like pulling teeth. She kept asking if i wanted to sign up for all this other stuff and finally we started getting into a heated discussion because all i wanted to do was cancel! Finally she cancelled my membership...or so I thought. A week later my card was charged the $40 and when I called them AGAIN they were argumentative and trying to sell me other things. I tired to dispute it and asked for a refund but they denied me. As a single mother who is trying to save every extra penny to buy a house...$40 is a lot...Had their services been worth it this would maybe be a different story. Don't use ScoreSense!!!!!!

First I would strongly advise anyone reading these reviews, please take heed in what you are reading. An account with them was set up. FRAUDENTLY in Feb of 2015 on my SS debit card. Then I noticed that they were double debting my account for the exact amount. I live on a very small SS check. Losing almost $60 a month is substantial for me. I did everything they requested as far as filing fraud reports. The people in customer service were sweet as candy. Unfortunately they are also full of crap. Resolution department...full of crap.....corporate offices...full of crap. Today, after fighting this for months I was finally told that they could only refund, basically, 6 months of payments from each account. I am absolutely livid that they first, didn't Inform me of this fact sooner. And second, that they would not refund the whole amount. Essentially, they realized that it was their mistake to open two different accounts for the same person so even though they refunded 6 payments on each. They actually refunded me what was their mistake. And I had to fight for that by calling very frequently. Please BUYER BEWARE...BUYER BEWARE. the company is a sham. The person who FRAUDENTLY created this account was stupid enough to use my email address. NEVER...NEVER ONCE did I ever find an email from them concerning my credit....had they stayed in contact by informing me of the credit status I ( they think) had. I could just go on and on but I will run out if room.....I will share with you the final words of the corporate associate I just got off the phone with...." Well Ms. C...thank you so much. I can use your incident as an affective training tool". REALLY SCORESENSE...REALLY?????

I signed up to get my credit report for which they charged a dollar. I thought it was a minimal fee for all 3 credit reports so I went forward with the process. To my dismay 7 days later they charged me $39.95 for a membership fee. Apparently, the $1 charge was for the trial. I called once I noticed the charge 2 days later after it cleared, but they only refunded the $1 instead of the $39.95 fee. I was ok with the $1 fee but do not need an identity protection membership. All in all I feel duped and can see that this company has unethical business practices by not making it clear to their customers what they are truly signing up for.

ScoreSense is a well orchestrated SCAM. I don't need credit protection and if I did, I would use ScoreSense. I wanted to view my credit scores ($1 as advertised). I received NO such scores. After ScoreSence received my credit card information, my computer screen went to blank page. Because of this, I assumed that my credit card information did not go through; therefore, I had no need to cancel a GHOST membership. However, that was not the case. ScoreSense charged my credit card $39.95 within 5 days. I leveled a complaint to their company stating that I received NOTHING from ScoreSense. They refused to refund my money. Also, a charge to my credit card and possibly linked to ScoreSence was a 514 area code call to Wimactech, Inc. for a 5 minute phone call. A call I never made. Area 514 calls have been linked to internet SCAMS. I will turn this information over to the States Attorney's office in Chicago, IL.

I found this company online and took advantage of the free credit check. It was not made clear that I was instantly going to become a member and I would be charged $39.95 a month. I later discovered the mysterious charges on my bank statement. When I confronted them about the charges and they reviewed the activity and verified that I never used it. They still charged me the full amount as if I used their services willingly. I thought it was very sneaky way of gaining a customer and I quickly closed my account. Their methods are similar to those who they claim to protect against and I would not recommend them to anyone.

I have had there service for a little over a year. After seeing an add for credit karma I decided to try it out and compare, because of the simple fact that I hadn't seen my score change in over a year. Needless to say score sence was 150 pointless behind scoresence. They hadn't changed anything on my account with accounts that had closed. I was pretty much wasting my money with them. So I called and cancelled. Cancelling was like pulling teeth and they tried everything they could do to keep me as a customer. They even said that they noticed that I hadn't refreshed my account in awhile and then stated that I didn't have that option. In the end save your money and don't even think about there trial offer

I was re-directed to there site for a credit score that was higher for a loan site I accidentally signed up but relized that I didn't need them cause I have access to credit karma and credit card company's credit scores of mine I wanted to cancel but it was after hours and they were closed I had to wait till today to contact them the customer care guy was polite and tried to get me to stay at two reduced rates the first at $9.99 or $7.99 a month I said no then he explains how my ID alert with my bank doesn't do what they do I said okay but still no he said credit karma doesn't do all three of the credit reports I still said no he canceled my subscription membership and gave me a cancellation conformation number and said if at any time I want to return the offer of a lower monthly rate will still be there I said okay I was supposed to get a email confirmation of my cancelation but didn't get it I tried to sign in to the members online site and it said error occurred so I'm guessing that yes I'm canceled there services I did this way before the 7 day trial ended hopefully I won't see no new charges on my account only the $1.00 they took out the day I signed up I told the customer care rep about those negative reviews I read about customers still getting billed when they had canceled and no refund he didn't say yes or no more or less I did cancel I can't get access to the members site no more so hopefully I won't be charged for something that I just canceled later this week when the 7 days free trials has ended I'll update here if have anything new to update

As previously stated after you cancel the 7 day trial they still take the $39.95 out of your account and refuse a refund. I signed up for a 7 day trial on January 4th and called on January 11th, day 7 of the trial and cancelled. The next day I see that they still took out the $39.95 so I called and asked for a refund. I was told that they would turn in the request. I called today because the funds where not in my account yet nor have I heard anything from them. The lady told me they denied the refund because I canceled 30 minutes later than I was allowed to. I cancelled at 5pm and the deadline to cancel was at 4:32.....WHAT!?! This is so crooked. I turned them into the Better Business Bureau and reported them for Fraud. I WILL GET MY $39.95 back!!!

I would definitely not recommend signing up with this company. At first they seem legit, but then when you try and cancel they make it very difficult. The customer rep said that she had cancelled my membership (I called on the within the free trial period), but the next day my credit card was charged. I called the next day and they said they would issue me a refund, but it was only for the initial fee of $1.00. When I realized that they did not refund the full amount (they offered me a 50% discount), I called back furious and they told me to calm down. I told them not to tell me to calm down because they lied to me and I've received nothing but poor customer service. I am waiting to see if I receive the promised refund, but in the meantime AVOID THIS COMPANY! They are manipulative, dishonest and misrepresent their intentions.
