Founded in 2012, Alarm Grid is a do-it-yourself security solution with professional monitoring services provided by Criticom Monitoring. The Florida-based company sells Honeywell system options and 2GIG equipment and offers a variety of monitoring options (including self- and central station monitoring) starting at $15 per month.

No Contracts or Activation Fees

The alarm company offers its services without any contracts or activation fees, which also means there is no penalty for cancelling its services at any time. Once the security system is installed, alarm monitoring is available for as low as $10 per month — burglar, flood, fire, and smoke alarm detection all included.

No Warranty Beyond Factory Guarantee

Alarm Grid does not offer a warranty on top of the factory warranty for equipment, which usually lasts for one year. Many professionally installed security providers provide a lifetime warranty on products, while most DIY providers include at least three years of product warranty.

Just purchased a new home and was looking for an alarm system that could integrate into Apple's Homekit ecosystem. AlarmGrid was one of the few DIY options who offered the Honeywell Lyric system. They came highly recommended from others who had installed the same system. From the ordering process to delivery and setup, they run a really terrific operation. Orders shipped next day and they immediately confirmed activation appointment. Great setup and training info on their website. Darrell walked me through the activation which only took a few minutes on the phone (and after followed-up with a bunch of useful information). They really made the whole process simple!

The experience started with an online subscription with followup email notices of account and a phone call from alarmgrid service representative Aja to fully integrate all functional aspects of your system with the web interface. This process allows you to select, directly within your account, the monitoring specificity of your choice including phone alerts, camera usage, z-wave device rules, and everything else you would need to do. Aja was knowledgeable, able to answer all questions about the Qolsys 2+ panel, and at the end of the setup session, it was perfectly completed. Thoroughly satisfied customer!

Best prices on equipment and competitive monitoring. ADT wanted $6000 for the same equipment I bought direct from Alarm Grid for $878.35. Monthly monitoring from Alarm Grid is $35/ mo with no contract versus ADT $69/ mo with two-year committment in CA. Install was easy 45-minutes total install, and much easier than listening to the ADT rep trying to up sell me for two-hours. I have an system in my primary home, which cost almost $2000, I have a ring system in my office $435, but for my sons new home I wanted the best quality at a reasonable price, and after much research (Brinks and a number of other vendors) I selected Alarm Grid, for the best equipment price and support service.

No contract and the fact they post their plans online is a game changer for me. Very transparent. The other companies wouldn't even talk to me about prices and insisted on sending a tech (let's be honest, salesperson) to the house first. The AlarmGrid customer service rep was on the phone with me as long as I needed and until the job and installation was complete. Great service. They even got an answer for me from their tech guys about an outdated piece of technology while we worked. I sent them a picture of it and they told me what it did and how it worked. Fantastic service. Really happy so far. (Thanks Bryce).

We have had Alarm Grid for over 2yrs now. I had to switch my system because the equipment I had was outdated and the company that monitored it kept increasing their fee. I wanted to convert/modernize my system. Alarm Grid helped me pick the system that fit my needs. They were VERY helpful in how to incorporate parts of my old system (wired sensors). My system was incredibly easy to setup. I ran into some problems wiring some of the old sensors up to the new system. Contacting them for support was no problem at all. I honestly felt like I could call them and get answers to my questions within 24hrs if not immediately. They are very receptive. They could prove me wrong tomorrow. But right now I am more than pleased with their service and the system that I have.

I converted my Brinks system over to AlarmGrid about a month ago. I was a bit nervous to have to replace and install a new communicator. But Jarrett and team provided me with the necessary YouTube videos to make it easy and I was able to complete the installation in under an hour. There were a couple minor hickups with my keypads but AlarmGrid's support connected remotely and addressed the issue quickly. I am very impress and our system is working faster and with better phone app control than before. And to top it off I now pay $15 less than I did with one of those big companies.

AlarmGrid was extremely responsive and helpful getting the system installed which went very smoothly. They answered all of my question and were with me every step of the way. Alarm Grid was very helpful in answering questions about the system I was looking at before I ordered, making me sure about the purchase. Once I had everything set up, they activated my monitoring plan immediately and gave me a call to help me set it up. Afterward I found their website had some other information that helped me get the system settings to my liking. Very impressed and happy with the level of service!

I have been a Alarm Grid customer for four years now. I own my own equipment and I could pay anyone to monitor my system, but we have no reason to leave because of the great customer service, and value of the monthly monitoring fees. I truly believe there isn't another home security company out there that offers so many choices of equipment and willingness to help the novice to do a self install, and set up a system to protect your family in my opinion. I chose a Honeywell system and have not regretted it. I have and would highly recommend this company.

THe people working for this company are competent and very friendly. We installed two new alarm systems in existing warehouses and they loaded the keypads, set up the communicators and stayed on the line with us until the unit was working 100 %. Griffin and Jorge are fantastic.

If you own your alarm system, it is hard to beat AlarmGrid's pricing and monitoring options. And their customer service is awesome. They are knowledgeable and easy to reach - no long wait times and customer "no service". They quickly and efficiently registered my alarm system, activated it, and tested it.

I purchased a house with a hard-wired system. The window sensors had been cut when new windows were installed. I used a 5800 C2W to concert four exterior doors and purchased window sensors for all my windows. The support group was very knowledgeable and helpful. I activated my system and everything seems great.

After buying a house with an alarm system in place, I searched for a service provider that would work with the system. I came across Alarm Grid and I'm glad I did. The whole process was made as simple as it could be. There were some hurdles to jump but the support team was able to guide me through it and it's all set up the way I want it.
