I have been buying stuff from Rooms to go for more than 8 years, but this was my last time. We ordered a bedroom set( 1 queen bed, 1 nightstand, 2 lamps and 1 memory foam mattress, for a total of $ 2,419.30) when the delivery arrived , my husband asked them to take their shoes off ( the bedroom is at the second floor) they said “we have a policy of not take off our shoes “ so we asked them for cover shoes, they do not have cover shoes either. So against my husband I told them to go upstairs with the bed and other stuff, they did just the night table and other lighter stuff, and when we thought they were looking for a solution for the problem, they’d already left, leaving the heaviest part downstairs in the middle of my living room, without any explanation , they didn’t even say we’re leaving. My son called customer service, they said don’t worry we are going to send another drivers, that was 5 days ago, we are still waiting for them. Very disappointed.

This company does not care about the customer. Missed call from driver at 8:44 am my window was 8am to noon called at 8:50 am was told I did not answer the door that is (because they never came) we will call you back when the driver can redeliver today, never happened. Call #2 we have not been able to reach the driver we will call you by 5:00 never happened. Call #3 4:50 pm. Driver already completed his route and items were returned, we can redeliver in 15 days . I said not acceptable well we can do 8 days but 1 of your items is on back order (1st time I hear this) I said not acceptable I need to speak to a manager. Manager says we can deliver in 5 days when I ask about item on backorder she says I was able to get it released? I feel like I was lied to all day and they had no desire to provide customer service. I guess I will see what happens with round 2, unhappy customer today!

If you want to be lied to and taken advantage of with no sense of urgency to fix their issues, then this is the place for you. I will never shop here again. I purchased a bedroom set and mattress nothing turned out how it was suppose to, my bedroom set came scratched and my base that I was told would be massaging was the lower caliber that just raises. This is absolutely ridiculous. Then the financing I was told would be 88months was 30months. Called synchrony bank and they told me that was set by rooms to go and they can change if rooms to go called and let them know. I call to tell them and get the base switched as it is not what I was promised they tell me to spend another 1200 dollars for an upgraded base to get what I was already promised. They never called back about the financing either. I will never come back and if you want honest caring people do not buy from them. I will be contacting my attorney.

If I could give it less than 1 star I would. I just made my first purchase from Rooms to go and I will NEVER do it again and I would encourage anyone else to do the same. After waiting more than 3 weeks to get a delivery, they gave me a 2pm delivery time and started calling at 8:45am that they were on their way, arrived here at 9:05am. They called me and I said no one was available because we didn't know we had to be. They said our delivery window was from 10am - 2pm (which still made them an hour early) and that they would make another delivery and come back. They never did. When I called the customer service number, they told me they would figure out what was going on and get back to me - that was at 1:40pm, plenty of time in the day left for them to still come out. At 4:40, when I was done with meetings, I called again, spent over an hour on the phone only to be LIED to that they had come back at 10:15 and no one answered. Well, I got news for them, we have a ring doorbell and 2 security cameras in the front and two in the back, they never even DROVE BY let alone come to the door or try to reach anyone. They told me at this point the route was finished for the day and would have to be rescheduled and the earliest would be 2 weeks and that they would not refund any of the delivery fee as they do not see it as their error. When I asked to be transferred to the store to cancel my order, I was laughed at by the store manager! I will be sure to tell anyone who will listen about the horrible ways they treat their customers, the way they lie about everything and their clear lack of concern for losing business. I have always bought all my furniture from Ashley and never had this issue, only came to Rooms to go because we just really loved this bed but I will be sleeping on the floor for as long as I have to to find another bed anywhere else but there.

I had no idea what I was getting myself into with this company. First off, I don't understand why they claim they can deliver your furniture the next day. That has not been my experience. When I purchased my furniture, I was told the majority would come on the 6th of July, except the bed frame, headboard and footboard would come on the 23rd of July. My dining set would come on the 14th of August. Huge inconvenience, but one I was willing to work with because I really loved the items. Well, on the 6th (Sat), I receive a call from RTG telling me they loaded my items on the wrong truck and I had to call back on Monday to rearrange for my items to be delivered. So, I did and was told the earliest they could do it was the 17th of July. So, 11 days later from the original date because of their incompetence. So, the 17th comes, and I have my bedroom set minus the bedframe. On the 23rd, the bedframe comes, but only to discover the headboard was damaged and they needed to replace it. So, I had them bring in the other pieces while I wait another week for the new headboard. When it came, they began to put the bed together only to discover the rails were missing. So, again, I had to call RTG to arrange for rails. Another week later, they brought the rails only to discover they were damaged and needed to be replaced. I regret buying this bed and shopping at RTG. I'm so worried my dining room set will be messed up too and will be a whole new debacle trying to get that replaced. A part of me wants to cancel that order and go with someone else. I swear if it's damaged in any way, I will. So, now I'm waiting for them to deliver new rails so that my bed frame can be put together. I've never seen such bafoonery before with a furniture company. Never again will I shop at RTG, and I will never recommend them. If ppl ask me where I got my furniture, I will tell them but caution that if they shop there, it'll be at their own risk.

Step 1: Arrive at Rooms To Go to purchase a bed Step 2: Purchase bed and schedule delivery date... several weeks ahead Step 3: Be informed that delivery would in fact have to be rescheduled, and proceed to wait another week Step 4: Have deliverymen promptly leave immediately after arriving on the listed date Step 5: Be placed on hold for hours to speak with a human being to, once again, reschedule delivery of a bed (that has already been paid for in full) In short, if you're hunting for furniture and interested in complementary incompetency, miscommunication and elevated blood pressure, then Rooms To Go is for you!

I had worst experience with Roomstogo.com after I ordered furniture worth over $4500. The price was good, but’s the problem happened when delivery people came and stole money from my purse. I had to call Police who found my purse Under the car in my garage, obviously one of the workers took my purse which I put on kitchen counter while I was answering questions from the other worker who was working in my bedroom to set up the bed. When police started asking them question they wrapped up and took everything, not finishing setting up the bed or dining table . I found out money was stolen from my purse as such I git police report and called Roomstogo.com customer service and talked to numerous people including Tiffany who told me they would be working on reimbursing me and call me back . However, no one ever called me back . I called three times to resolve this issue and they flatly said “no we are not going to do anything “ I never had this type of incident with any other furniture store who had hired bad delivery company. Roomstogo.com company should take responsibility and resolve this matter.

Buyer beware. Furniture looks nice but is super cheaply made. I bought a power couch living room set and all couches and recliners started falling apart with 3 months. The metal framework of couch is paper thin and bends easily. Metal braces and bars should not bend just using 1 hand. Bolts shear off also. You go to store and they just give you the run around and customer service is a joke after you pay for the items. They sell you a stain warranty and tell you it’s a full warranty. Why would I purchase stain warranty on leather furniture. There solution was to tell me to find my own furniture repair shop.

My purchasing experience was fine until 3 men arrived in a penske rental truck to deliver the bedroom set and in the process damaged all pieces except the end tables and put a nasty scratch on my wood floors. Multiple emails and telephone calls and the elapse of over 3 weeks and I can't even get a supervisor to call me and each set of photos emailed to their customer care center is rejected for being too close, too far, too blurry. I am at the point they don't even bother with a new excuse. Wish I had not let these folks in my house. Shame on Rooms To Go as they used to be a nice company to work with.

We went to Rooms To Go in Houston. After many hours of debating we finally found what we thought was the perfect fit. We customized our entire living room and kitchen to coordinate around their couch. We found several other pieces to complement the couch and choose a color scheme that would work with our house, style and the couch we loved. We painted, bought new accent pieces, artwork, furniture and everything to complete our dream living areas. Delivery day comes after all our hard work, the couch and other pieces arrive. The deliver men bring it in, damage our walls, they forget to deliver the rug and pillows, couch was damaged. We had to make several claims right from the start. The sectional came in three sections. Getting it replaced took several weeks. Then 2 months later it starts to fall apart. Mind you we don’t have kids. It’s just my partner and I. We call customer service which is a joke. They give you a run around. Then after serval attempts at reaching them the manager finally calls us back. They schedule for someone to come out and take a look at the damage. Another few weeks go by and the person comes to check out the damage. Low and behold it seems this model which just came out this year, is being discontinued due to manufacturer error and issues. They tell me that they cannot replace the couch with the same one and I have to go and pick out a new one. Then they tell me that I have to pay for the taxes again and they wouldn’t be reimbursing be for that. What?!? So another two weeks go by with us playing phone rage with customer service. We finally get someone to say we can get a full reimbursement. Now the fun part, we have to look for another couch that will fit not only our living room but the color scheme and style we worked so hard on coming up with and making happen. We spend more countless days, hours and weeks trying to find something that would work for us. We drove all over the greater Houston are trying to find something, anything. We have no luck. Either what we find is too big or two small. Doesn’t come in a color that goes with EVERYTHING we worked to coordinate. We find out that they will be replacing our model of couch with one very similar. The problem is no one has it in store. They don’t offer pictures to help you visualize it. There is one store that has it but it’s an hour and half way. So we decide to take the drive. We get there and they have it. It’s not the same but it just might work. The only problem is they don’t have fabric swatches so you can see the different options. Also this couch is more expensive. We eventually find another store another hour away that has a different color of this model but no swatches. So we drive out there. We decide to get it. Now we have to change so much with our color scheme because the options they have clash with everything else we have at home. Now this means we have to change the wall color, area rug, pillows, throws and accent pieces. An utter nightmare. So we get on the phone with customer service. Talk to managers. Talks to anyone that will hear us our. This whole nightmare is now going to cost us more money. We get them to give us a full reimbursement to use that money on whatever we want. They said we could keep the pillow and rug. We end up spending $200 more, set up for delivery which will take about another month. Finally delivery day is here. I had to move around my work schedule and take another personal day (which I only get 5 a year) just so I could be here during their 4 hour window. The delivery driver comes and is SO rude. He demands I give them back the pillows and rug they said I could keep. He was being loud and unacceptable the way he was speaking to me. He ends up just throwing the couch in the living room, scratches the wall (again), leaves plastic wrap and trash all over my house, yard and porch. Then refuses to give me my pillows that I paid extra for. On top of all of that the couch was delivered damaged AGAIN. I then spend over an hour on the phone with customer service. No one once apologizes for the way I was treated or the situation. Now they want to charge me an additional $80. I am beyond upset and angry with this company. Please whatever you do DO NOT give Rooms To Go your hard earned money. They don’t care about you. They care about your money. They make you feel at fault for everything, are unapologetic and disrespectful. Their customer service is a joke. Their management doesn’t care. I have never in all my years ever been treated like this by a company. It’s not like we are taking about a few dollars or a few hundred. I have given this company almost $4000 and invest countless days and weeks dealing with their problems. Racked up miles on my car. Not to mention all the extra money I had to invest into redoing my living room to have it coordinate with a new couch I had no choice but to replace because the product they would (and still are selling) is defective.

A few years ago I bought theater seating from this company. I am a single guy and do not entertain. I figured although this companies furniture is low quality it should last for quite sometime since I am the only one that would use it. Boy was I ever wrong! First the woman at the store lied to me and sold me a warranty which was supposed to cover repairs. She sold me a stain warranty on pleather furniture. Why would I buy a stain warranty on something you can wipe off. In less than a year the pleather started deteriorating. This company replaced the center section, but the same issue began with this piece as well. Less than two years in and I stopped using this junk. Every time I sat down in and got up I had the brown pleather stuck to my skin. What worse this junk sat in the living room not used and the pleather was deteriorating on all the pieces. I kept it in the living room because every time I looked at it I saw 2,000 plus wasted dollars. Yesterday, I decided to drag this junk to the street in the middle of a tropical storm. I bought a King size bedroom set from this company too, the side rails started cracking after a couple months because of the poor wood product used. The company replaced one rail. I immediately reinforced with some oak boards. Fortunately I am still able to use the bedroom set. I will never buy anything from these bottom feeders again, and I suggest if this gets posted those reading will not buy this junk either. I am left with a 14-year-old quality recliner now, and it will likely last for many more years.

So sorry I gave money to this sleazy operation. i was very ill and i needed to finance new furniture after a cross country move and agreed to use them. i should have waited until i was making healthy decisions cuz using RTG was the worst decision i made! The sofa and chair are so saturated with VOCs the smell has been unbearable and i’ve tried all the housekeeping hacks to get them out! it is called new couch smell it means your house will smell like warm rot apparently for months i’ve put up with inhaling cheap furniture chemicals off-gassing for 3 whole months. just because you wanted to pay later doesn’t mean you should accept such garbage. Their high-pressure sales and warranty scams are unconscionable-telling you you won’t get a warranty on a bed without paying Hundreds extra for a slippery mattress pad ‘to honor your warranty.’ What warranty? There is nothing i can do except sell it cheap, swear at the loss every day and Promise the world i won’t let anyone shop there ever again! You deserve better for your money.

Rooms to go have some beautiful furniture however they use cheap products to build with , Purchased 3 rooms of furniture from them and has had issues with 2 rooms of furniture. My bedroom set that was purchased very high end one of the highest bedroom sets in the store broke in the middle part of the frame. Husband had to rebuild an entire frame for the bedding. The dining room table is cracking and peeling at the top . Particle boards were used not real wood as they suggest it is . Will not buy another piece of furniture from this place again . I feel ripped off at this point

There was a 4th of July sale. I needed a bed and found exactly what I wanted. I changed the foot board, as I didn't like the floor model . Scott said it was not in their store, that it was in stock at a different store. It would take 45 days to get it. Ok, I agreed , not a huge concern. He wrote up the order and the bed went from $499.00 to $705.00. What!! I paid went to the car, and looked at the transaction. Scott put the bed rails, and foot board on two separate orders. Each one there was a warranty added. He just said it came with a warranty and I said that's good. He didn't tell me I had to purchase it. He charged me for another delivery fee for the foot board. Another fee for renting the temporary frame. Like it was my fault they didn't have the head board in stock. Needless to say, I immediately went in and cancelled the order. He asked me why and I told him I can't afford that price. He wasn't happy about it and went to the office to get help from the manager. She wasn't any nicer in this Clearwater Fl. store. I bought things from them before, but from now on I will go to a different location. Watch for the hidden fees they add to increase the price. Shady, to say the least.

Rooms to Go I am writing this so other potential customers think twice before purchasing anything from RTG. We purchased matching leather recliners and have had several issues. The first issue was a manufacturing defect recliner would not close. After waiting a month for them to come look at it ( they only come to my area 1 time a month) the tech said it would never close properly. The bar across the bottom was too long. Ok so they replaced it great right?? Nope the recliner they replaced it with is doing the same thing but they assured me it just needed “breaking in”. Ok so we tried it for a few months. Nope still doing the same thing. So I call schedule appt for them to come out. You guessed it have to wait a month. Tech comes out says I will be contacted 3-5 business days with decision. No response after 2 full weeks. I call only to be told they closed the ticket and are not doing anything about it. Wait what??? I tell them I want it fixed get someone else to come look at it. And so I wait another month. Remember they only come to my area 1 time a month. Tech comes out removes a spring and adjusts the mechanism. Same story 3-5 business days you will be notified. (Still too hard to close the recliner). You guessed it no call no letter NOTHING. That is top notch customer service right?? So I start calling again only to be told ticket is closed again there is nothing wrong with it. Wait if nothing is wrong why did the tech adjust the mechanism and remove a spring???? Clearly anybody can figure out that it is way to hard to close if he removed a spring and adjusted it. Why would you do that if nothing was wrong???? So final decision the tech removed that as a courtesy to me and it is a customer preference issue (why yes I do prefer to be able to close my recliner). I will never buy anything from Rooms To Go again and I will caution others as well. Sincerely, No longer a customer Amy North

First time shopping at rooms to go. Highly disappointed. First delivery I received way past my delivery time (was scheduled 7-3am and received around 8 pm). The delivery guys were dead tired and when they start taking down the furniture wow( my chest and dresser were opened -no box no covers) as soon as they got it out I see they’re all damaged and when I refused to take the delivery they’re trying to convince me to accept so rooms to go can replace the damage furniture in couple weeks. Needless to say I said no cause rooms to go customer service wasn’t available after hours for me to discuss the issue. Next day I called my salesperson day and explained the situation and asked if I could cancel the order because It came damaged and I didn’t wanted to wait another 2-3 weeks for next delivery and of course he kindly said we’ll charge you 20%cancellation fee because Within48 hours of sale is the cancellation period. And oh yeah he also said since they use third party delivery service they sometimes open the boxes in the truck to save the delivery time. Like WOW what an explanation. I again called customer service and explained if my furniture comes without boxes I will refuse. The rep typed all the notes on my account and next delivery was all fine. Again After two weeks here I am again waiting for my living/bedroom furniture time frame between 1-5pm and it’s about 7 pm still waiting. All I am told they’re running late and don’t have the definite time frame. Hoping my furniture gets delivered before midnight and in packages. Wasn’t aware rooms to go don’t deliver their own furniture. Please guys shop at local furniture store who doesn’t use third party delivery services for their product. At least you have a live person to talk to if you have issues. WILL NOT SHOP AT ROOMS TO GO AGAIN. Very frustrated. Keeping fingers crossed for my sofa and dining table for tonight. Hope it all comes in one piece

Today I had the extreme displeasure of speaking with Joseph H manager store 1604 of Room To Go - 5900 Glenwood Ave Raleigh, NC 27612. Mr H, was extremely rude and unprofessional in dealing with my concern. When I asked for his regional managers contact information Mr. H stated he wasn't going to give to to me. At this I contacted the corporate office of Rooms To Go and they sent the Regional Manager for this store an email to contact me urgently. My concern now is not my delivery date but the manager of Room To Go Store 1604 located at 5900 Glenwood Ave Raleigh, NC 27612. Mr. H should not be managing a store where is is extremely rude to the very people who supply him a paycheck. Please choose Ashley Furniture, Haverty's or any other store that would consider it a pleasure to have your business.

Worst customer service ever! Delivery guys broke a light fixture and a lightbulb- they said they were going to handle it. I was called about the delivery and I told the lady about it and she said she would handle it. A week later I go into the store and submit an invoice for payment they acted like they were going to take care of it. A week later from that- still nothing so I called the store and Mary told me my claim was denied because I didn’t report it within 3 days! Said I wanted to speak to someone else- she said Ruth will contact me in 48 hours. 3 days later I get a letter on the mail and Ruth denied my $35 light fixture fix. Rooms to Go- YOUR PATHETIC!

Bought a Power Leather Recliner and paid over $1,000. The Recliner came 2 weeks later but without the power cord (and without the cord the recliner wouldn't work) . Movers told me that someone would call me about missing cord. Three days later when no one called I called customers service myself and they send me the cord. It took them another week to deliver the cord. Once we received the cord it turned out that the reclining mechanism wasn't working. Called customer service again and was told that the technician will come to see what's going on. He will write a report and someone else in the department then will decide what to do about it. I told them that i already waited for almost a month and don't want to wait even more while they are deciding on the report. I ask if i can return the item since i haven't use it at all and was told No. After long conversation with customer service they finally told me that they will replace the recliner. However, the shipment will be in 4 weeks. It will be 2 months from the moment I bought the chair to the time I can use it. If i knew it will take THAT LONG i wouldn't buy it from Rooms To Go. As a matter of fact, we are moving to a bigger house and thought that we would buy more furniture from them but not after that experience. Very disappointed!

My experience with rooms to go has been horrific! The worst company ever! From the initial buying experience all the way to the delivery! If I could put a zero and 1,000 thumbs down for incredibly poor service, I would! In fact a delivery man just left my home and he was rude, inconsiderate and obnoxious! My furniture arrived dirty and not properly packed for protection. In fact, it arrived with no product protection at all. I noticed a dirt stain and when I expressed my frustration that this has been the 3rd delivery with product problems and asked him to take it back, he expressed no compassion, empathy or simple understanding for the frustion it is in having spent over $800 for a couch and ottoman that keeps arriving, (now for the 3rd time) dirty or not put together well. He proceeded to accused me of causing the dirt on the ottoman and when I asked him to take it back, requesting my original ottoman back, he completely ignored me, got back in his truck, cursed at me under his breath and drove off. I didn’t even sign any paper work! There is nothing to confirm proper delivery and satisfaction unless he forges my signature of approval and satisfaction, which FRAUD and ILLEGAL! I hope he gets fired and I will never ever shop at rooms to go again! I will write as many horrible reviews as I possibly can to deter other people from having this deeply hostile and inappropriate experience. And to top it off, I’ve complained several times about my dissatisfied experience, dirty products or products not put together well with no compensation or concern on their part. In fact, at this very moment I’m in the process of trying to contact rooms to go with my grievances, yet again and it’s now an about an hour of wait time to reach anyone. Absolutely terrible, horrible service, products and overall experience! Jennifer Circosta

Horrible customer service! It's quite funny they have a customer service line that has a team staffed with unprofessional employees who do not have one clue about customer service. The bed I purchased from them less than a year ago has broken twice now while sleeping and they do not have any sense of urgency even though I'm sleeping on the floor. I have taken time off twice on this last occurrence for them to fix my bed and they never come at the time they promise or give their courtesy call. All the managers seem to be the highest point of contact and disregard their customer’s experience. Save yourself some time, money and energy by STAYING AWAY! If zero stars was a thing, that would be my rating 👎🏽👎🏽

I bought a sectional and dining room table from Rooms-To-Go two years ago. Five of the chairs were correct, one was a different color and style. They exchanged it but it took three weeks. It was kind of a red flag that they don’t expedite after they make a mistake, but I was ok with it. About 6 weeks ago, I bought a bedroom set from them. They were supposed to get here from 3-6 PM. They call at 1:37 with “We’ll be there in 11 minutes.” I said I’m not home, I’m at work, you’re supposed to be here after 3. “Well do you want to reschedule?” No I don’t want to reschedule! I want it today……after 3. I’m not cancelling my delivery, they are missing the window. They had to call me back but eventually agreed to bring it today, AS SCHEDULED, like they’re doing me a favor. Whatever. Still all good. One of the nightstands was broken. I call to let them know, and they reschedule……for two weeks later. I’m really annoyed at this point, they just don’t care when they make a mistake, and they’ll just bring it whenever it’s convenient for them. I make arrangements to be here for the delivery today. …….wrong color. We don’t accept it. We still have the broken one. I call again. They reschedule for 8 days from now and ask if there’s anything else they can help with. I say, well, this is the 3rd day we have to be home, we bought this in February and are getting it in April, that’s assuming it’s right next time; I think I should get some kind of credit. I get put on hold. They come back with their offer, they say they don’t normally give comps (again like they’re doing me a huge favor for them screwing up), and offer me $25. ……this is a $4500 order from a repeat customer who spent over $10k within the past two years. I said that’s not good enough. It’s kind of insulting. She transferred me to the local store for some reason. I explain what happened, and am told they have nothing to do with that and I need to call customer service again. I said I figured that, and don’t know why they sent me here. I call the hotline back, explain everything again, and get put on hold. Again with the “you’re lucky we’re doing this” attitude, they double the offer to $50. I ask if having to wait this long for my furniture and losing an extra two days of my life is only worth $50, I was told “yeah.” She tells me they are not responsible for lost wages. I didn’t ask for my wages, I’m just asking for a couple hundred bucks for all of the inconvenience. So their offer, and what I was requesting, was a $150 difference. I hope that was worth losing a customer for life. I hope whoever reads this thinks twice about using this company. Do yourself a favor (instead of letting them act like they’re doing one for you) and shop at any other furniture store.

My boyfriend and I ordered a couch from our nearby Rooms to Go store. We are both in our early 20's and because we looked young, no one took us seriously and said nothing to us. Finally after about 20-30 minutes of being there, someone asked us if we needed help. After ordering the couch, we were told that we would be notified 2 days before our delivery date telling us what time frame they would be coming. We never received a phone call, text message, or even an email. The delivery date comes and I had an appointment out of town early that morning. While waiting for my appointment, I received a phone call from the delivery driver, asking if I was home for delivery. When I said no and I would be home in a couple hours, he told me I would have to call customer service to reschedule the delivery date. The driver was rude also. I called customer service later on and they said our account was on lockdown and was not able to be reopened, that I would have to call back the next day after 4 PM. I called back the next day, only for them to tell me that I had to call back yet again the following day because it was still locked. I was on spring break the week for delivery and specifically had it scheduled for that reason. I now have to wait until the following week, when I'm back in school, to have it delivered because they do not have any openings for delivery until that week, causing me to have to leave school to get the couch delivered, something that I should not have to do. I will NEVER order from this company again because of how disorganized and unprofessional they are.

$7,300 MISTAKE!!!! DONT DO IT!!!! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!! Primary Issue: Rooms to Go not only did not deliver what we purchased, they are refusing to acknowledge their deceptive sales tactics on a $7,300 purchase, and refuse to work with us to resolve the issues. I am now working to reverse the whole purchase but they are refusing to. I will never shop at Rooms to Go again in the future. Master Bedroom Set: We purchased a "7 piece master bedroom set", when we negotiated with the sales person, we specifically communicated that we wanted every item on display, which included; the king bed, two bedside tables, a dresser, mirror and the gentleman's chest. Additionally, we purchased the Beds to Go Mattress which comes with an adjustable bed frame. The quote was $3,200 (including a 3 year warranty, delivery & assembly). We felt that this was an excellent purchase. Delivery: Upon delivery, we did not receive the gentleman's chest. We realized 9 days later, (our fault) that the gentleman's chest was not on the receipt. However, when talking with Jennifer, our sales person, we clearly communicated that we wanted everything on display, she confirmed "so you want the 7 piece set" I said yes, everything here that is on display. I asked her what is the "out the door cost" of everything on display, with mattress, adjustable bed and the 3 year warranty. The quote was $3,200 out the door. I felt that it was an excellent deal and purchased it. At that point, the verbal agreement on the purchase of a 7 piece bedroom set included everything on display, which includes the gentleman's chest. At no time did Jennifer communicate that the gentleman's chest was not included. She had the chance to address that it was not included, but never did. This was clearly a deceptive sales tactic. Customer Service: Upon realizing that the gentleman's chest was not included, I called the store to resolve the issue. I spoke with the store manager Robert B, he would not acknowledge that a deceptive tactic was used in the sale of the furniture. He stated that "what you paid for is what was delivered". "You signed the receipt which did not include the gentleman's chest". According to Rooms to Go, a 7 piece bedroom set includes: 1.) a headboard, 2.) bedframe 3.) footboard 4.) a bedside table 5.) a second beside table 6.) mirror 7.) dresser. They consider the bed to be 3 pieces!!!!! Why is the bed considered three pieces? Does a dresser not have up to 6 drawers? Based on that logic, wouldn't a dresser be 7 pieces? Kids Bedroom Set: We also purchased a complete kids bedroom set, two twin beds, two Bunkie boards, a dresser and bookshelf for $1,500. Delivery: One of the twin has a huge gash on the headboard, on the other bed, the left headboard leg is bent and not straight. Also, the "Bunkie" boards are not "boards" they are wood slats. I am under the impression, that a bunike "board" is a wood board and not wood slats. Robert B also refuses to acknowledge that a Bunkie board is a board. Again, he refuses to acknowledge are dissatisfaction. Leather Sofa and Love Seat: We purchased a top grain adjustable sofa and love seat for $2,600 and they both arrived in excellent condition. No problems here.

I gave them half a star because zero is not an option. The logistics department called several times to change the time frame of my delivery. On the 4TH(thats correct, 4 changes in a day) I was told the driver would call me to let me know he is one his way. I told them I would be there by 3:20pm. I pulled up to the house and there they were pulling away! I drove after them honking my horn and flashing my lights and they pretended not to see me. Called Logistics once again, to be told they will try to return again tomorrow. Do they not think we work? How else do we pay for the furniture? No thanks. Cancel my order and Im going back to Haverty's. You get what you pay for.

Please Please do NOT go here! They do not respect WOMEN! The WORST experience EVER. They wouldn't even help my wife and 6 year old tie down a couch. Even told my wife who was having problems with the strap that she would have to move the Yukon and then tie it down. Told her it was policy. Just went back to get a new set of furniture . Payed for it then waited. Watched as a employee tied down a man's furniture. Found out it is there CHOICE of who they help . "So they can watch my wife struggle while helping who they want. Is it because she is a woman????" Went inside to confront the manager about the matter when the man from the back tries to come in the window ready to fight . After the ladies at the front close the window, he then come threw the door at us . VEry VERY disappointed . Spent my ONLY day off trying to get furniture Spent money on renting a trailer Spent $60 on gas for the day 6 hours of our lives GONE and no Furniture

VERY CHEAPLY MADE - WON'T LAST LONG - NO REFUNDS - - ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- I will NEVER buy anything from Rooms To Go again because it is CHEAPLY MADE made furniture that doesn't hold up and is OVERPRICED JUNK made overseas. The sofa cushions seams started coming apart after a few months of normal use (sitting on the sofa). The coffee table legs were made to look like painted wood but appear to be actually made out of some kind of foam that hardens and then is painted. My dog bit big chunks out of it and we were lucky she didn't swallow any of the pieces. (I would have been upset anyway that my dog chewed the coffee table leg, but I at least I might have been able to sand it and repaint it if it was real wood. ) I felt lied to because I thought I was purchasing a wooden coffee table, not some cheap foam painted to look like wood. I also bought a "wood" bed, so I expect that the legs on that are the same cheap material and I can't expect it to last very long either. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RETURNS: They do not refund any money. They will allow customers to swap unwanted items for other items, but you could lose money if you swap a more expensive item for a less expensive one, unless you spend more by getting a more expensive item when you swap and paying the difference, or buying an additional item or items and paying the difference. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPON DELIVERY: The delivery people will have you sign that everything is in good condition before they will leave, and how do you verify that when it is all in boxes??? The only thing you can verify without opening all the boxes is whether or not the packing boxes are damaged.

Nov 13 went to look for recliner in roomstogo. The one I liked sales person told me was not available til Dec 30. I could pick up, by Katy Mills. ( Not by. Katy Mills) its a whole lot further. Delivery will be $79. I was asked for $70 deposit, and I told him I will pay everythin when I pick up, and asked when is the credit card charge, and he said when I pick up furniture. Well he put down the whole amount as deposit( just found out when check receipt) . I have not been able to pick up recliner, because I hurt my back, so I asked to deliver, but he said I need to go to store to pay for delivery. So if I cant drive to go pick up furniture, how can I drive to pay for delivery? Now I have to pay % because I want to cancell the order. I regret so much going there.. I got a lot better quality recliner, and delivery service with Pier1. Sales person very unprofessional and sneaky👎

Delivery, repair service & scheduling are all conducted by 3rd party. This is the root of Rooms to Go problem. I ordered a bed for my son on October 14th. Today is January 4th & I've just received another unacceptable replacement part. I have 3 pages of documentation from this experience; here's the summary. In store sales department was great. I had an issue with my 1st order on October 6th & they were very helpful in issuing a credit and helping me find a replacement. 1st delivery: delivery guys damaged the bed by hitting my front door with it. Front door damaged, but not bad. Repair person scheduled & he determined that it could not be repaired. Replacement ordered. Replacement delivered and delivery guys damaged another part of the bed during installation. Repair person sent & repaired the spot with a chemical so strong that we were not able to stay in our house. We finally took the bed apart & put the replaced piece in the garage. It took over 6 hours to get the smell out of the house. Replaced area was not acceptable. Replacement piece sent. It was delivered & I refused installation. Told delivery guy I would do it myself. Upon thorough inspection of the piece, I found that it is not stained properly. At this time, I'm tired of dealing with R2G & am accepting the inferior piece. I will never shop here again. At 43 years old, I've never had issues with furniture delivery like I have with this place. And, one more thing...My purchase was from Rooms to Go Kids. Their delivery service will schedule you until 10pm! This is unacceptable. One of our deliveries did have the 6pm-10pm window, which we refused & rescheduled. Deliveries that late should only be by request, especially if the furniture is for a child!

I went to Rooms to Go to look for a kids desk. Most of the sales staff were sitting by the door. I asked for the kids area and was pointed over to the side. When I got over there no one was available. I waited for assistance but was told only one salesman was able to assist in the kids department and was helping others. After I waited for a while I asked for a manager. I was told he is in the back. I walked over to the rear office and found him on his cell phone. I asked why there was no one in the kids dept. He said they had one person only. Now there were at least 10 salespeople on the regular side all sitting on the furniture doing nothing. Instead of offering to help. The manager did nothing and was very rude and disrespectful. He was agitated because I interrupted his texting conversation and became rude and confrontational. I asked why there was no one to help and he repeated that they have one person only for that side. He then accused us of asking for someone named Jody. We know of no such person. Again lack of customer service. When I told him we didnt know anyone by that name he interrupted again and became belligerent. I was finished with this nonsense and headed for the door and he threatened me. Stay away. They are the most unprofessional staff I have ever delt with. I was a repeat customer till now.

Went to rooms to go to purchase an entertainment center. Service was great as you are buying merchandise, but when it comes to deliver it became a nightmare. First delivery, merchandise damages, mentioned to take back and replace after waiting a full day. They wouldn’t take it back as they stated that it has to be there to exchange. Second tim, a 13 hour window, again the replacement was damaged. After taking with customer service which they tell you what everl just to brush you off, I mentioned for them to check it before it gets delivered and days after I check to see if the notes requested was notated and it was, BUT, another date was scheduled and waiting window of 9 hours and then the merchandise was Worst, damaged and they wanted to leave it here and told them NO WAY that you are leaving a damaged merchandise in MY HOME again, they continue to say no until finally customer told then to take it back. Three full days of lost pay from work, paid for the merchandise and qdelivery and nothing was done. I ask for them to replace, give it a super discount for the time lost from work which I could have bought 6 items of it’s price for the time lost and the manager after me calling 4 times due to them not calling me as I left a message to. All me only wants to give me 75.oo off some other items I bought. Is this the service you want and expect from a furniture store, the poor customer service and management not willing to help, it’s like blaming me versus blaming their workers. I will make sure this gets posted in every website unless someone from rooms to go makes up for the time lost, the disappointment and the way we were treated as customer that we are without any faults.

We purchased a $900 recliner (included delivery & set-up) from RoomsToGo, Knoxville Tn (salesman Wayne Smith). We had a delivery date for the afternoon of 11/30/18. This original delivery was canceled after they phoned us & left a message saying it would be early morning, changing it from the agreed upon afternoon delivery. Now the company is bullying us into a time schedule that we specifically said from the day of purchase & numerous times via the customer service phone calls that we could not be available or home. We have explained, to deaf ears apparently, that my husband works 10 hour day shifts, 5 days a week, with no vacation time available. If he was to miss work it could cost him his job because of it not being a medical reason. I'm not home in the mornings due to my mom dying of cancer in her home & I'm her caregiver. In the afternoons I have brother that covers for me after he comes in from work. 2nd attempt at delivery, again not our requested time frame, THEY WANT EARLY MORNING! They still tried to come by, as we saw via our security cams, even though we CANCELED the day before (more than 24 hours) BECAUSE no one would be home. Once again, they obviously ignored our request for a specific time frame of delivery in afternoon or later. 3rd attempt - this time they want to deliver at 8 a.m! Once again inconvenient for my family, my husband leaves for work before that time & I will be tending to my mother. We called customer service yet again on 12/11 in regards to our newly set delivery date of 12/14 & we asked to speak to a supervisor. The representative put us on hold for a while and then came back said that the supervisor would call us back. That call did not ever come and its been over 24 hours at the time of this complaint on this 12/12/19. Every time we call customer service, not only is there a lengthy wait before you speak to a person but the representative is extremely condescending. So we started e-mailing RoomsToGo but are getting the run around, excuses on top of excuses as to why the cannot honor a delivery time frame we requested & paid at time of purchase in mid-November. First it was that they couldn't change the delivery time inside of 24 hours from the scheduled delivery time. We called immediately after receiving the "courtesy" call about delivery that's 48 hours in advance so it's was not within the 24 hour window. Then it's "oh the truck is loaded 2 days before" or "it's not up to the store but the drivers". I have called FOUR times and told them the same thing about when we need the delivery to be - you can't tell me that they can't rearrange the delivery to accommodate us. BUYER BEWARE!!! This is our third (and last) purchase from them. In the past, changing the delivery time has not been a problem.

I had a delivery set up between 8-12. And I told them to give me a courtesy call 30 min prior. because I wanted to make sure I’m here. sure thing, they sow up at 8am, no call, I wasent here. My babysitter said she is not the owner and to call me. I wanted inspect the furniture and have them put in the right room . They left the furniture inbox in my entryway and i have no way to bring it upstairs because it is extremally heavy. I am very disappointed with their after care service . I tried to call them and tell them to complete the job and they didn’t care. Never again I will make buisness with this compagny.

I made an online order order November 15, 2018. After finishing up with my order I received an email that my order will be delivered within 7-10 business days. 5 days pass by and I called rooms to go customer service. The representative on the phone told me or I should say lied that I will get a call before they deliver my item (just to be sure I'm home). I received my order today and not a single knock on the door or call was made. The order was sitting outside for anyone to take. I called the customer service line complain and the representative was extreme unprofessional and told me I could return the order. I'm highly upset as to how companies like rooms to go have terrible online service.

I informed they i was up the street and on my way. pulling into my neighborhood i see the truck leaving so i tried to flag him down. he just looked and kept going. played a call to customer service again and asked to send the driver back. they inform me that the driver said he's not coming back. they expect you to wait around all day for the but the cant wait a few minutes for you,,,, Bad customer service.

Do Not Buy at Rooms To Go If You Want Respect and Honesty I’m a consumer and I want a good product at a fair price and I want respect and honesty AFTER the sale. I did not get that at Rooms To Go. The salesman was great - nothing against him, after all, it behooves him to do his job well. One caveat: the delivery window was 7 calendar days later; I’ve bought furniture MANY times in the past and ma used to three. That should have been the first indication that Rooms To Go’s supply chain was weak and possibly fraught with problems. After the sale it all fell apart. My delivery was scheduled for 7 AM – 11 AM and that means the truck is loaded and on the road BEFORE 7 AM. At 9:45 the call came in: my delivery was not going to occur because the driver called-out. I’m sorry, what? Rooms To Go has a single point of failure that impacts tens of thousands of dollars of merchandise with no back-up or risk management plan in place? No agency to call upon that provides a pool of per diem workers as many other businesses let alone furniture stores have in-place? And it took Rooms To Go at least 4 hours to let me know? Then the lying started. The Rooms To Go dispatcher told me my order was first on the truck for the next day. That means 7:00 AM, right? Right. Liar. The Rooms To Go receptionist who answered the phone at the store told me my order was first on the truck for the next day. That means 7:00 AM, right? In fact, she told me her mother who lived in the same town as me received her delivery at 6:45 AM. Liar. The Rooms To Go MANAGER at the store told me my order was first on the truck for the next day. That means 7:00 AM, right? Liar. At 8:01 AM I cancelled the order and the customer care center representative, when hearing why, had no concern or remorse in her voice, in fact, she made it sound like this was incredibly routine for them! No escalation, no apology, just another dissatisfied customer, oh well. Could you imagine if I was calling Rooms To Go for a warranty or other post-sale need? Do not buy at Rooms To Go if you want respect and honesty. #RoomsToGo

I have not had a good experience with RTG the last two times I used them. First, this time I had to reschedule delivery with them 3 times because they could not come within the timeframe that they gave me. They did not call to state they were running late the first time, we called them and were told they were behind. They were due between 2-4 and it changed to 7-10. I have to work and had to cancel. The delivery today was late, but they did call. When I got a text stating they were in route to my house it was still an hour and a half later before they showed up. It interferes with my work schedule and everything else. Then the bed was not put together properly. After the workers left we had to move the bed over and found that there was a defect in the headboard among other things. We called and they were pleasant about replacing it but it will take a week for it to get here. It should have never been put together in the first place with the defect. I don't believe I will ever use RTG ago.

They use a very cheap materials in the furniture, I bought a couch almost three years ago, and after two years the wooden part inside the couch broke, and also a lever ,but they only offer one year for any manufacture defects, so you have to look for furniture repair. I have spent over 10k in the last 4 years and considering I have been a loyal customer no one can seem to help me. I will never purchase anything else with rooms to go. My 3 seater is tearing in the same spot that they repaired. Also, I sat down in my rocker recliner and my spring broke! I weigh 125lbs. Now how in the world did that happen? Rooms to go is cheap!

I order the living room suit from Rooms To Go a year ago the sofa had to be replaced at least three times and it's still damaged and the screws are coming out of the coffee table and customer service is the worst. When I contacted customer service I waited on hold for over 45 minutes and a rude representative told me this was the last time that they were coming to my house with that being said, I ask to speak to a supervisor she put me on hold for about 20 minutes and came back and said a supervisor would be calling me back, I have not received that call yet. I called back and got another representative and I asked her to read the notes from the previous representative and the previous representative had noted that I was threatening them with a lawsuit. This was the worst experience ever. Please stay away

Rooms To Go.....the WORSE company I dealt with. I arrived to houston about two months ago and thought that buying all my furniture from one store will be easy and time saving. I decided to purchase from Rooms To Go, 4 bedroom sets that includes 3 full beds, 2 desks, king size bed and 5 nightstands, I also purchased a big living room set. The deliveries were crazy, they were spread for over a month and I still didn't receive them all. Many items came broken and took long time to replace. Today was the top notch! I got a delivery of my king size bed. The drivers (not speak a word in english so I couldn't communicate with them...but they were very nice) dropped 2 massive boxes in my bedroom and left. Apparently the headboard of this bed will arrive only next Saturday so my bedroom will be the storage room for those boxes until then. I called costumer service and spoke with the mangar...she explain to me that a HUGE company like Rooms to Go don't have a dispatch to take those boxes until next Tuesday (5 more day). It's five days that I need to sleep with 2 huge boxes that may have a bit of bugs in them. But that's ok with Rooms To Go...because they don't care about their costumers after the money transaction pass. Very fostering and definatly last time I'll purchase from them.

Dining Room Set Defective after 5 months On today, I noticed that the table was peeling. Mind you this table is never used to eat on because I value the design and style of the dining room set. I called to speak to a representative, and of course, she stated a technician had to come out take photos. After reading the hundreds of complaints online in regards to this service, I am uneasy that Rooms To Go will take effective measures to correct the problem. I am still paying on this purchase and very upset that a defect of this magnitude could possibly be disregarded. I found this email address online and hope that someone will ensure me that this matter will be situated. I asked for an email confirmation and the rep stated that she could not provide that for me. I have not had this set an entire year and with a purchase that was well over $900.00, you would think customer security and satisfaction would extend beyond the purchase. There was no flexibility offered with the dates of the tech visit and the Chat Rep was very rude and used that all time phrase that makes a consumer feel cheated, " This is ALL we can do!" In a world where customers can choose any company to purchase furniture, you would think someone could have provided me more security with this situation. A 18: 31-minute wait and the only appointment that was the soonest available was August 21, 2018. On 8/28, I received a reply from Lourdes Campos (President Assistant) of Rooms to Go. Ms. Campos stated that the technician's findings concluded that the damages were not under warranty. I then called Rooms to Go and a CSR stated that my claim still shows "pending" and there was no decision made. I also have a transcript of a conversation I had with CSR from Rooms To Go and she stated that items under warranty are either "repaired" or replaced" and that a technician report does not make the determination the CSR Care Team does.... Not to mention that the actual technician stated his job duties and he also stated that the table could not be repaired, but should be replaced. We were forewarned that our BBB complaint would come back to haunt us..sure enough it did

Rooms to Go has its good people but most of them are incompetent. I ordered a King bed and everything was good until I noticed that the bed hadn't been positioned correctly and I couldn't close the door to my bed due to this. Minutes after I noticed this, the same date and before 5pm, I decided to call the company and no one answered so I left a voice message and then seconds later I received a call from an agent, I let her know what was happening and she told me to send her pictures and said that I had to wait until tomorrow. This morning I didn't receive any reply regarding the issue and I called the company once again and someone told me that it was too late to do anything, that I had to do it yesterday...? How is this good customer service? After I paid 6 thousand dollars. Customer service is misleading and useless just like the company itself. One agent will tell you something and then another agent will tell you another thing. Never buying again from any RTG, waste of time and money.

I had a delivery that was scheduled for yesterday (Thursday 12 July 2018). The delivery window provided at the point of purchase was between 7am and 10pm. I was home for the entire 15 hour delivery window, however, no delivery attempt was made. The driver made no contact with me inspire of providing my phone number on three separate occasions. When I called to inquire about the status of my delivery I was informed that the driver had marked it that I was not home and that the delivery attempt had been made at 2:48 est. I was also told that he had already returned to the warehouse. I called at 5:15 est. the warehouse is more than three hours away from where the delivery was supposed to be made. Meaning that someone is lying. Additionally, employees on the customer service line refused to provide their employee identification information or names. Upon further inquiry the description of the location the driver alleged to have gone does not match the delivery location. When I asked how this mistake was going to be corrected I was told there was nothing that could be done and that the earliest the delivery could be made would be in two weeks because they had to be sure the furniture was in stock. I am confused as to how you can have furniture on the delivery truck but not be sure if it’s in stock. We then called the store where we purchased the furniture. The store manager told us that the earliest they could deliver would be this coming Monday. However, it would be an add on delivery with another 15 hour delivery window and no call ahead. This is not a solution. On top of spending $2700 with Rooms To Go you are asking for 30 hours of my time to correct the mistake made by the delivery driver and a company that fails to hold its employees accountable. I am highly dissatisfied and would appreciate immediate outreach from someone who can correct this mistake.

Absolutely horrible experience. We purchased a sectional and were sure to formulate all of the proper measurements before we bought it, however, on Saturday morning when our delivery drivers arrived they looked at the doorway, attempted to slide the couch in one time and then quickly turned around and left, leaving no information for how we should proceed. We called customer service, who told us that we could go to the store to reselect. We couldn't find anything that we wanted, so we called to cancel and that was when we learned that we were going to be robbed for our delivery fee. These people told us on the phone that if we bought something else from them, that they would waive the fee, however, if we cancel our order it "magically" turns into a re-stocking fee. Which is a lousy excuse given that the sectional is being re-stocked either way. This isn't the worst part of our experience, though. The worst part was when we called in to the Seffner, Florida call center and spoke with Trey E. ( who was probably one of the most condescending, rude people I have ever spoken with), Michelle N. who hung up on me, and Michael P, who despite being more polite than the other two representatives, was still lacking in customer service skills. I will be posting as many horrible reviews as I possibly can from this point forward, and I will also make sure that every single person that I meet or know does not shop at Rooms to Go, whether that be in-store or ONLINE. I will tell them to save their money, time, and energy and just go to City Furniture or Ashley Furniture. It is an absolute disgrace that you can just rob people this way, and then be nasty to them too. At least spend some of those stolen delivery fees to better train your customer service reps.

Just want to add my voice to the chorus of negative reviews here. Their delivery service is just awful. They do not honor their own delivery time-frames and, most egregiously, they have a policy whereby they will give your item to the next customer if there is a failed delivery. This means that you can waste a whole day waiting for your furniture not to arrive, only to find out that the stuff that you spent all day fruitlessly waiting for is on back order and can't be shipped for another two weeks. "We can't send what we don't have," said one of their agents when I confronted her about this policy. They shouldn't sell what they don't have, either. But they do. I urge you not to buy from them. They are without honor and can't be trusted.

After two days of delivery problems and staying at home waiting, (no phone calls) and not being able to talk to a person that knows what’s going on, I decided to just cancel the order instead of taking a third day off to wait all day. This cost me 24% of my item to cancel. They even want to steal more money for me when it’s their problem and bad business practices. I should’ve charged them for the time I took out to wait for this item. I don’t care, I don’t want the product it will only remind me of the bad situation I had to endure with this company. I had just purchased a $3500 bedroom set for my granddaughter, never agan. And now a small purchase causing this much of an issue. I was mostly disturbed by the unprofessional and lack of caring attitude of all the staff that I spoke to at least six along the path of the loop de loop they put me through. The final person identified as a supervisor told me to end the conversation if I was done talking or discussing my issue with her and we could just hang up and she would cancel the order. Wow what professionalism. Never again will I buy from the store. I was not surprised by the low reviews I found on this website. At least I’m not the only one. Buyer beware. Looks good but it’s not!!! Terrible business practices! Absolutely no care or concern for the customer or the customer experience.

Wish i had read reviews on this site before purchasing. Damaged furniture was delivered. I was told that replacement furniture would take a month and half. Since this was unacceptable I said "just return it". The customer service person had my sales person call me who said she would look in to having it shipped earlier. Well of course that didn't happen and i was told that the furniture was not returnable. I had to call for 2 weeks to even get this negative news. Still don't have a date for re-delivery but it is a wasted effort for this bedroom purchase. Not sure who was bought off at BBB but can't imagine an A rating with all the negative reviews.
