Leaf Filter opened its doors in 2005 after founder Matt Kaulig designed a new gutter guard in his basement. Once his design proved to be incredibly innovative, there was nothing preventing Leaf Filter from expanding rapidly to its 50+ offices that cover 43 states in the U.S.. Leaf Filter states that their mission is to provide customers with a fantastic customer experience “from beginning to end.”

The first thing you see when you get on the Leaf Filter website is its claim that it is the nation’s largest gutter protection company. Leaf Filter installs gutter guards in 43 states, so the chances are good that they’ll be able to help you out with your gutter needs. 


Even though Leaf Filter has only been around since 2005, it has installed more than 35 million feet of gutter guards. Additionally, Leaf Filter focuses its business solely on gutters, so its employees have likely gained a unique expertise in the field.

Leaf Filter offers a lifetime warranty, covering any damage in need of repair. Leaf Filter stands by its product and maintains that its warranty is good because its filters are the best in the industry.

Even though Leaf Filter doesn’t disclose some helpful financial information, its gutter guard lifetime warranty and rapid expansion attest to its success. Leaf Filter has done well because of its dedication to customer satisfaction. We would happily recommend Leaf Filter for those customers who are interested.

Sales person LIED about my existing gutters causing roof damage….and that Leaf Filter installers would fix the existing roof damage. When installer came out he said there was no roof damage and even if there was, he would not be able to fix it. Then got Sales Manager Aaron on the phone where he went along with what his sales person said about me having roof damage when he has never seen my property and when I told him that his installers said I didn’t have any roof damage then Aaron backpeddled on what he had said. Then he continued to insult me on the phone with interrupting me and talking over me. Then I called Corporate to complain about all of it and got Zach, Corporate Installation Mgr of NE and he called me (2) days later to say that I would be getting a $600 credit for my troubles and now it is (20) days later and still don’t have the credit. Everyone lies and don’t do what they say they will and rip people off.

I have a Leaf Filter job that just can't get done. I paid the money as the Leaf Filter contractor said they would do as they promised. But, while I was gone, they just picked up and left, job not finished. Can't get them to come. All I get is an 800 number out of Ohio. The Eugene office has no phone number. We are in Bend, OR, I suggest the Leaf Filter people (where ever they are?) take a second look at their contractor here in central Oregon. They don't fit the Leaf Filter name and reputation and I won't use them again.

Leaf Filter Installers Damaged Property Installer damaged property during install. Salesman Nathan wrote work order WRONG/Not as Discussed, so result extra work I received Broken Floodlight. I witnessed Installer Josh STANDING on staircase hand rail. Now broken from wall. I have BEFORE pictures (Was tree damage insurance claim) and damaged done by installer. I can not rent property with liability of someone falling from handrail on 2nd story. I am senior depending on my rental income. Leaf filter made "NO SHOW" appointment of so called manager to view damage. Then requested photo's of damage which were sent. Making it clear that they HAVE NO INTENTION OF MAKING IT RIGHT. BUYER BEWARE, only so so product.( Alum. seemless gutter is wavy after thermal warm up) Installers are SUB CONTRACTED sub par, probably WITHOUT LIABILITY INSURANCE. Now negotiating with Discover to dispute payment. BE SURE TO INSPECT ANY WORK PERFORMED BEFORE PAYING. I failed to do so. Will update review if Leaf Filter should "Make it Right". Oh yes, contacted customer service, rearrange MY SCHEDULE to meet with Rep Wed. 3/10/2021. After waiting 1"hr, Ashley called and now no one is available. To send pictures of damage which was done 3/10/2021 With NO RESPONSE. The "no show appt. should have been my first clue. They DON'T CARE about me as post customer. Time to let public opinion prevail on Snapchat And You tube.

Since leaf filters have been installed my gutters leak in many places around the entire house. The end cap also leaks as so does the corner joints and at one of the valley the rain just pours over the gutter. the gutters were never re-align as stated by the salesman and the water just lays in the corner and constantly drips on my deck. The job was not done properly. I would NOT recommend LEAF FILTER to anyone.
