The Good

  • Coverage
  • Multiple Contract Lengths
  • Finance Rates

Coverage

ABC has been able to provide services to clients in 44 states. That much coverage for one siding company is almost unheard of in the industry.

Multiple Contract Lengths

Clients can choose between 6-, 12-,18-, and 24-month contract lengths. This is an extremely rare option when it comes to choosing a gutter service provider.

Finance Rates

Though its finance rates are by no means the best in the industry, American Building Contractors does disclose information about its possible APR finance rates. Surprisingly, many companies that provide gutter services have little or no information about financing, so ABC is doing its clients a great service.

The Bad

  • High Finance Rates
  • Undisclosed Warranty

High Finance Rates

As noted above, ABC has proven itself trustworthy by disclosing APR finance rates (a rarity in the siding services industry). However, the rates they offer are higher than one might hope to find.

Undisclosed Warranty

American Building Contractors does not disclose their policy on possible warranty benefits. Even though it is difficult to measure warranty options with the many different purchasing options and contractors, it would be nice to know which products and services are generally covered by warranties.

The Bottom Line

ABC has the makings of a company that takes great pride in customer service and satisfaction, but red flags are raised when it comes to their high finance rates and lack of warranty information. The fact that they disclose information about finance rates—even though those rates are high—does create the beginnings of client-company trust. We recommend that possible clients weigh the benefits of other companies with ABC’s to determine the best fit for them.
