I had them come out and fix dock door off track. tech's came out and fixed door within an hour. Was invoiced and emailed within minutes of completion. However, was charged twice. After multiple calls, I've yet to receive a credit back. I did finally receive a call back today, after spent my time on the phone trying to get an answer and positive result. However, I haven't received credit or so much as an email confirming this has been done. Was advised that I should receive credit back in a couple weeks. This is the same words I was told a month ago when I first called. So in my experience, they can fix a door, invoice, and email, quicker than running a credit card number to issue credit. makes you wonder WTF???? Does their credit card machine and email system not work? Perhaps they should move a few tech's into the office. Mind you, everyone I've dealt with has been polite and courteous, which is great. I guess...My credit company still wants me to pay regardless...

My garage doors are beautiful. The installation was done well. However, the customer service was less than satisfactory. The gentlemen that I wrote the contract with over the phone was not helpful or friendly. He did not know his products well. I asked a very specific question to which I found out from the installation tech I was given the wrong answer. Thankfully the installation tech was able to change the order the day of and provide the product I was requesting. I needed to leave before the end of the installation and I asked the installation tech another very specific question to make sure I would be able to set everything up on my own with the technology. Again I was told the wrong answer. So to sum it up the products are very nice however the Customer Service has a lot of room for improvement. Also, are sure you ask very specific questions and try to get the answers verified by more than one person at the company because they don’t seem to know their products.

My service technician was Kendall P from the Beltsville, Md. location on July,28th, 2023 . In spite of the heat being in the 90s he was calm, peaceful & patient : never once making me feel stupid like some male service techs tend to do when you are female & of a certain age group. He knew exactly what was the problem & he explained it very professionally, then he went to work to correct my misunderstanding of how the doors locks are meant to function . He deserves a 10 rating in my opinion

We had a garage door that started not working last year. We found out the cables were not covered under our home warranty and had to have them replaced. Then this year it quit working all together. We called Overhead Garage who got here quickly and replaced the whole mechanism with much nicer and more functional equipment. We were pleased with their service.

my mom recommended overhead last January when our garage door open , which was quite old- just plain quit. the tech came out 2 days later and replaced the opener with my choice of opener, a lift master. He had several brands and models to choose from and we agreed this would be best for us- the outdoor keypad was reprogrammed to my code and he showed me how to control this with an app on the cell phone. we do need a new garage door, as another company that came out to quote a door opener pointed out- he wanted to sell a whole new door, not just an opener, so we parted ways. Overhead examined the door and agreed but it was not something that need to be done right away. now we are ready to replace the door and will use overhead again. i appreciate their honesty, that is the first thing that comes to mind about them.

The home I purchased came with overhead garage doors and electric opener. It was 8 years old when I bought it. I had an authorized servicer go over it, tightened the spring, lubricated it and made sure everything was correct and it continued to work perfectly for the next 10 years when I left the home.

Mr. C was very informative of the business history and its warranties with the doors. They will give you a fair price and will work with you. This is what we all need in these days!!

Had a problem with my garage door, because it continue to bounce back up as the door was closing. Call Aviya for help, since they provide a great service to my neighbor. Got a return call right away. Set an appointment right away. When Dave came. He checked out the the problem and recommended the repair. Dave was very honest and recommended the repair. No over sell! Installed 2 garage doors over 12 years ago. Have had to have them out for repairs every couple years. Service technicians are great but the general manager lacks customer service skills. He told me he didn’t care if I found someone else to do the work in the future. Never in my life have I had someone on upper management tell me they didn’t have time to deal with something so it was fine if I wanted to look elsewhere. Meanwhile, I just had new openers installed by them. So I guess this means they aren’t going to honor the warranty work in the future. Which I’m sure I’ll need because something always seems to go wrong with them.

The customer service was deplorable. I had to continuously call or email to get any help to purchase a new garage door. The salesman would wait days to respond. I was left waiting to find out about a delivery date and was never contacted. I finally gave up and am looking to purchase from a company that actually wants to sale their products and responds to interested customers as this franchise obviously dies not.

call for quote the lady on the phone said $300 max to replace just one panel but when the tech guy came out he said it would be $1000 with labor so i denied the service because it not what i agreed on the phone. But I still being charged $100 because the tech guy have came. I tried to call the lady back but was transfer to someone else and when I asked for the lady they wouldn’t let me talk to her. Overhead door is like a scam, give you cheap quote make you agree for them to send their tech guy out and change their price, if you denied service it automatically easy $100 for them. 0 star

Bought a new state of the art “smart” OHD. Totally useless feature. Have literally tried for months to get the door to connect to wi-fi to no avail. Would be a nice feature to be able to open the door with a smartphone but OHD has not perfected this feature. I’ve pushed buttons waiting for beeps and for the lights to turn blue, green, red, whatever. Love smart technology…hate it when a company can’t seem to figure it out. I’d recommend avoiding OHD if you’re interested in this feature

My door sags in the middle when open, two of three screws have fallen out where opener connects to door. They were supposed to come out and repair it yesterday and no one showed up. Didn’t even bother to call and let me know that they weren’t coming. When I called this morning they didn’t apologize for not showing up!!! They said they would call me when they were in the area? What am I supposed to do just sit around waiting for them to call? Terrible service and I paid over $3,000 for this door.

Could not get an accurate warranty in writing for my new springs. I had to call twice and fill out two bad reviews and I finally got an accurate warranty in writing a week later. The receipt they emailed me had an inaccurate (much shorter) warranty written on the page. On a positive note, the technician was professional, competent and polite. I bought a Chamberlain motor to replace my Overhead Door product. I'm changing service providers too. No more Overhead.
