• Laminate: Laminate is a good way to go if you are wanting a wood-style look in a room that may have a little more moisture to it. Even though laminate is less likely to be ruined by water, it is important to stay away from those rooms like bathrooms that will have standing pools of water. 
• Vinyl: Vinyl can come in planks, tiles, and sheets and works well if you have a certain look in mind but want a cheaper flooring option. Vinyl is a softer material and it is waterproof, so it works well in rooms where there is a lot of standing and water. 
• Tile: Tile has a lot of personality, just like carpet. Tile now can come in all sorts of designs and colors, which is fun when you want to be more creative in your design process. Tile works great in rooms with high moisture like bathrooms. Tile also withstands wear and tear better than other flooring.
