I misunderstood. I thought this was a debt consolidation program. I was not aware that my debtors would not be contacted and informed that I wanted to pay off my debts. Instead I was informed to stop making payments, which in turn destroys my credit rating. Even though I had debt challenges, my credit rating was at 750 before FDR and now is at 530. What have I gained after two years that I could not have accomplished by continuing to make monthly payments on a timely basis.

If you are in debt just stop using your credit card, you don’t need to through this debt settlement stuff. Pay it off as much as you can, get another job. You’re not saving money by cutting debt when you add on their 20% fee. I regret signing up. They are not thorough in their work. It is not worth it.
