Misleading information, unanswered questions (or wrong answers), did not inform of tax penalties, did not inform of percentage of fees taken, nor ALL of the additional fees charged each month (i.e. bank fees, check fees, payment fees, email fees.....etc). Untrained staff with misleading or incorrect information that changes with each call I have put in. RUINED my credit....no way to back out once you are in and told it takes approx. 6 months before credit will start to improve...been enrolled for over a year and some accts. STILL have not been negotiated. Ended up paying more than I owed to begin with AND get 1099C for amounts higher than I owed in the first place. Extended approximate time of completion by9 months with an agreement to settle at $ 5.00/mt for FORTY EIGHT MONTHS?!?!?! Longer than I was even supposed to be in the program to begin with with just that one negotiation!! Stupid!!! Overall.....TERRIBLE MISTAKE to enter this program!!!!

I am so confused regarding FDR ,some of the creditors state this company really is not helping me, but it is actually more detrimental to me and my credit history. Companies continue to call me daily. The time that it takes for FDR to offer the creditors something, by that time my credit is ruined, with delinquencies,and perhaps a 3rd party collection. I am unhappy with the service provided. I had never missed a payment with my creditors. I was told to stop making payments and refer them to Freedom Debt. I followed their instructions and a year later I was served with a law suit. The first attorney at NLLG whom I was working with said dropped the ball on the first offer. She was no longer with the company, when I followed up with them. So basically we finally settled with the debtor for an additional $1500 because of the slow/no response. I do not like the fact that Freedom charges such enormous fees. 25% of the original balance. Not the balance you settle for but 25% of original balance. I will be glad when this nightmare is over?

They were helpful in many ways but there were a number of challenges. Freedom Debt Relief charged very high fees (highest in the industry). Also, with their program, customers had to build up funds before they could negoitiate. Many other companies do not implement that practice. Because of this one of my creditors filed a lawsuit against me. I did not have time to waste, so I went with another company who would move more aggressively to help me with my situation.
