This free, personalized initial assessment gives the firm a chance to review clients' current credit situations and allows clients to get a feel for Lexington Law's services, the firm's overall mission, and will help clients understand what actions the firm plans to take to ensure their credit report is fair, accurate, and substantiated if they choose to continue their credit repair journey with Lexington Law.

Licensed Attorneys

Lexington Law has dedicated, qualified attorneys and licensed paralegals on staff, providing legal analysis and insights to its credit repair clients. In addition, it provides members with 24/7 support.

Premium Credit Repair Product

Lexington Law recently updated its credit repair services, simplifying from three service tiers to one premium product at a set monthly price — $139.95 per month.

Lexington Law's credit repair product includes assistance and expertise from skilled lawyers and paralegals. Your service will include letters sent to creditors and the three major credit bureaus (Equifax, TransUnion, and Experian). The Bad

  • Speed of Service
  • Consumer Finance Protection Bureau Lawsuit Settlement

Although Lexington Law has several positive features like its years of experience with major credit bureaus and provided discounts, the firm has been known to have one main drawback. When compared to other companies in the repair industry, Lexington Law may be slower in disputing items on clients' credit reports.

When challenging negative and inaccurate items, Lexington Law employs a time-tested and formalized approach to how many unfair and inaccurate negative items per credit bureau it challenges each month.

Speed of Service

Lexington Law credit repair processes may take longer than the average in the credit repair industry; however the time it takes to remove negative items from a client's credit report highly depends on the client's individual credit situation.

One credit repair case may take less time than others due to the type of services the client has signed up for and the amount of repair service that is actually needed in order to repair the client's credit and improve their score.

Consumer Finance Protection Bureau Lawsuit Settlement

In August 2023, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) reached a settlement with major credit repair companies like Lexington Law and CreditRepair.com. These companies were involved in unlawfully collecting fees from people for credit repair services through telemarketing, which broke federal law.

The settlement, if approved, will make the companies pay a $2.7 billion fine. They will also be banned from telemarketing credit repair services for 10 years. These companies used deceptive tactics to profit from people seeking better credit scores. The CFPB's action aims to protect consumers and address problems in the credit reporting system.

The Bottom Line

With Lexington Law Firm, the good easily outweighs the bad in comparison to other companies in the credit repair industry. In 2023, Lexington Law Firm provided over 600K free credit report snapshots.

According to consumer testimonials and reviews, Lexington Law has many years of experience with creditors and is transparent and thorough with credit reports and credit repair work updates, but is occasionally a little slower with its credit repair processes than other repair companies.

Although Lexington Law's credit repair process can be slower than expected, the firm is known to provide quality customer service as it is staffed with exceptionally trained paralegals and legal assistants that are set to help you improve your credit.

As part of its credit repair process, Lexington Law sends dispute letters to all three major bureaus, Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion, which is extremely beneficial to potential and current account members.

The law firm also offers monthly credit monitoring and identity theft protection service options for customers to choose from, discounts, and a free credit assessment that includes a free credit score and report summary. This assessment can help you better understand Lexington Law firm's credit repair services and what actions the firm will take when fixing your credit problems.

In regard to the information above and the Lexington Law reviews collected, we recommend Lexington Law as the reputable place to repair your credit.

I wanted to put "zero" stars, but that wasn't an option. I am not very satisfied with the snail pace the operations has... I wish that I could get all my money back. My wife and I both pay for this service and I haven't seen much benefit over the 5-6month period that we have joined. I would not recommend the service to any of my network.

STEER CLEAR OF THIS SCAM!!!! This company is an absolute JOKE. Anyone who has positively reviewed this company does not know what a real credit repair company should look like. I can go on and on about this but I'll give my main points of concern as I can't waste a single second more of my time on this horrible company. First of all, you can't get a person who speaks English as their first language on any form of support. I called many times and only once could I even understand anything they were saying. They aren't 'paralegals' as advertised either...I straight up asked one after receiving another in a long line of MANY canned, scripted answers. She replied that no, she was not a paralegal and then ended the call?! Same with the chat...just canned answers and no actual support. I can read any of their provided info online by typing my question in a search. So yeah. If customer service is important to you, then maybe skip this company. They also only update your report with them every 30-60 days...so no real time info for you! But they're sure happy to charge you insane amounts for all the 'work' they do. Never could get an answer to what exactly they were doing and charging me so much for? AND they send out the most pathetic letter known to credit reporting. My 4 year old cousin could do a better job. They will over-bill you as well and encourage you to review your agreement if you're unhappy with the charges, which you aren't given enough time to do on the phone call where they sign you up. Speaking of the initial phone call...I was given a good deal of incorrect and deceptive info in order to get me to sign up. Which conveniently you cannot access the sales person again in order to call them out on anything or have clarification. RUN RUN as fast as you can! Lexington Law is a total scam.

Horrible, horrible, horrible! They have just been taking my money and writing letters that are constructed by someone outside the US who does not know English. I got a copy sent to me by a creditor and it was sent to 'Dear Sirs' and filled with misspellings and grammatical errors. The companies who receive this crap just laugh and throw it in the trash. They list accounts that have "been removed", but are still obviously on my report and have never been removed and they took credit for an 11 year old bankruptcy I GOT REMOVED MYSELF. Steer away from these buffoons unless you want to throw thousands out the window and get nothing but bogus reports of items removed. I can't believe these people are still in business. I think I will be filing a complaint against LL with the FTC. Yes, it's this bad and I wish I could post the letter I got a hold of that they sent my creditor...You would die laughing and go about this process yourself.

First time around they were GREAT. I decided to use them again after my divorce, divorce debt and I was planning on buying my own home. They were HORRIBLE! I was with them for over a year and a half, paying $129/month. In total they got three items removed, not 3 from each report, 3 TOTAL. I began questioning this and told them many times I can't keep paying $129 a month with no movement. I finally got to point where I was calling in to cancel. They offered at least twice to give it to me half off. I agreed two or three times and then cancelled. I tried to speak to managers because it was clear they were not working on my case rather just collecting my money and doing the bear minimum. I got nowhere fast. I switched to Credit Saint. I just started my second cycle. Within the first cycle they got two things removed from one credit report. I will never use Lexington Law again!

This Lexington Law credit repair companies is one of the worse credit repair or credit crappier because they made my mother's credit worse than it was while they milked my bank account for about six months. What I have observed by dealing with this company over those months while they took my money and did nothing is that they have a monopoly when it comes to credit repair referrals. But if you are planning on joining this company which does not deserve my recognition, first and foremost plan for success. #1 Do your do diligence #2 Make a decision not based on emotion because this lexington law company in particular, will try to engage and persuade you so decide which credit repair company will do the work that you need done to get the Right Results that you need because this lexington will get the results for but the results most likely will not be the Right Results that you need to achieve. What results will you get most likely it will be the debt on your bank account that tends to worsen your credit. Most of these credit repair companies starting with Lexington Law as the front runner, will fall in love with the taste of your bank account and will not want to let go off your money, because after all who would like to let go off free money that they have worked hard through multiple channels to get connected right into their feeding bottle, that they are sucking out the milk off.

documented illegal stolen funds by Lexington I called on Lexington law to help me dispute a repossession of a lease car that I was a cosigner on for my son after he lost his job due to Covid. I explain to Lexington he was never late on payments but in fact he kept making payments after the lease was up in order to keep the car. Vw credit never contacted me or asked me for payment and I expressed this to Lexington firm and also provided them with documents. Lexington said they could help and asked for my social Security number and payments of $158 a month to get rid of this bad mark. Because credit is very important I trusted them. It turned out Lexington opened up old closed accounts which caused my credit to take a huge dip, before Lexington 784 after Lexington 646. When it took a dip they charge me more and said I can help you fix it when in fact they open these closed accounts that were not even an issue any more. Every time I called them I was on hold for hours and when I finally was connected to what they call a paralegal, I was being transferred to someone overseas to who they said was A paralegal. Before he or she could move on to what my concern was I always had to disclose my full Social Security number., date of Birth which made me real extremely uncomfortable After 4 months being billed by Lexington law I decided to cancel them because the one reason I signed up was for their help on the repo which they never addressed. I canceled their service and even got a confirmation number and an email stating that service would end. But two months went by and I noticed they kept billing my bank account but not for the full amount they were taking out $50 instead of $150. I confirmed them by sending an email to the multiple Lexington law email addresses and attaching not only their email to me stating payment would end but I also attached the Number of bank charges they charged me after the cancellation was confirmed. I will add those attachments to this review so you can understand how this firm took advantage of someone Who only reached out for help but in fact it’s taken advantage of Beware of this company, if you feel like you need help from a law firm for your credit go with someone who is local in your area. This company is a waste of money and just another bill to rack up your credit. I would give them a negative star but that wasn’t an option. Michelle A Caballero

I had such high hopes for repairing my credit through Lexington Law. However, I got duped. This company takes your money and does very little to repair your credit. For the $150/month I was paying, I expected more help - maybe a live person to be able to talk to every once in a while when I had a question or concern. However, even though you are assigned a lawyer, you never get to talk with them. I was always put in touch with a paralegal that seemed to know very little about their job. They kept telling me to do stuff I had already tried. When I asked if I could speak with an attorney, they said they would put my questions or comments in my file and the lawyers would see it that way. There way no way of expressing the concerns about the items in dispute on my credit report to an actual human. Their system didn't always have the correct auto response for my item being disputed. I felt like they were just taking my money and I wasn't really getting anything for that $150/month.

I started working with them once. I had to give them my bank account for automatic payments. I changed my mind before even start and oh boy, it took me 45 minutes to cancel their service. Once I told them I wanted to cancel they hung up. I called back and they put me on hold, after 30 minutes waiting a girl picked up and started offering me services, I told her I wanted to cancel but it was like if I was talking to a machine, she wouldn’t stop (the most weird and annoying thing ever) I started yelling and she paused but then continue talking. I had to hang up and change my bank account. Stay away!

Saw a house on Graigslist for rent. Called about it. Foreign woman answers and makes sure I'm low income. Says yes to all my questions. Then transfer me to Lexington Law to qualify. First, they pressure you to go with highest package with 5 dollars down. But if you do a search, it really is doing nothing. Then she tells me that it is to look up my credit. Ummm... Equafax does it for free. It felt like a scam. When I said I think about it, she hung up. Guess what thou... the house I was looking at, to be qualified.... they don't answer there phone anymore. I'm so glad that I looked up reviews on this company and say your answers. Run away from this. And those that gave great reviews, you'll notice that they are too perfect. Like someone adding a perfect outcome of there results. You should consider them as fake as hell.

I would absoutly in NO way recomend Lexingotn Law, I only had 7 items on all three of my creit reports. I had two misses payments about a year apart from a finance company both thies were when I had surjury and was out of town, There ws one error on only one of my credit reports, It took Lexington lay several months but they did get one late payment re,oved off three of the credit companies and the error ... I cll and tlk to these people but all I get is excuses and no action, I was originally told that I could downgrade tot he 25.00 per month once the ititial month was over. Then I was told I need to keep it to make sure the issues were reolved ... After a few months I again questiones and was told I could drop down to the 80 some dollar ammount, After pushing them I got the 25 some dollar a month fee, When asking then who this was taking so long again all I got was excuses, But they will talk tot he layyers and see if they will do their more agressive approach,,, My responce was whi in the heck did they not do that in the forst place..... These people are like All the others they only want your money and will bleed it out as long as possible to suck every last dime out of a client as possible ....

Rep mislead and misinformed me about their process. I was then convinced to agree to a $5 charge that would send me a detailed overview of my credit report. Then i was told to I wouldn't be charged for the full service if I didn't call back to agree to move forward with their services. I called back on Saturday but found out they were not open to take my call. I was then charged for a full price for a service I never wanted over the weekend and couldn't dispute it at the time. Call right away on Monday to cancel and get my refund but was told I can only get half of it returned because it was past the 5 day deadline (which was never disclosed and a separate rep told me it was 5 business days). I never agreed to sign up with their services but only agreed to the initial $5 charge.

I called Lexington Law to ask questions and to get some information. In the beginning of the conversation the person was very friendly and helpful. when he was trying to sell me . After listening to the yad yad from the representative. I decided that I wanted to do more research on the company and the process. I told the representative that I need time to think about it before I committed to anything. I immediately heard silence and he stopped talking. I said hello about 6 times and there was no response. Finally he hung up. Wow! What great customer service. I think my mind is made up I WON'T BE USING THIS COMPANY! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

Now I admit my credit is less than perfect. In April 2020, my score was 518 with 22 negative items on my credit report. I sign up with Lexington Law believing they were experts at credit restoration. I was advised to make payments on my debt while they work on my account. I paid off 1 collection, 1 charge off, and made payments towards my student loans in default. I also got a $200 secure credit card. This alone brought my credit score up 100 points within 2 months. I know this because I have multiple credit apps that tell me the reasons why my score increase/decrease. Little did I know, Lexington Law would destroy it all. The items they dispute change my student loan account status and drop my score over 70 points. I called their customer services and went on their online chat many times. I got 3 different answers and known of them made sense. The last answer I got was for me to call my my student loan lenders asking for them to correct my payment history and apply Covid-19 to accounts. Now mind you, my original loan was with Sallie Mae, who transferred my loan to Navi ent, who transfer that loan to Reliant Capital Solutions. They all said they can’t fix my payment history because they don’t have control over what’s reported to the credit bureaus. This got me even more upset with Lexington Law. They should of discovery this when they challenged the accounts in April and now we’re in the month of July. Lexington Law paralegals do not know what they are doing!!!!!!! I should of been offer compensation but instead I was offer a final bill.

I’ve been a customer of Lexington Law for about 2 years and I’ve got some of the stuff removed from my credit, but then after a while there was no progress on my case so I’ve chosen not to renew my agreement so I told one of their representatives on the phone and they told me my agreement will expire and there will be no more charges on my credit card from them but after about 3 weeks I’m still getting a monthly payment charged to my card. In an attempt to resolve why they kept charging me customer service was completely unhelpful putting me on hold for hours as telling me bunch of unrelated stuff so I’ve just hung up on them to stop wasting my time. Think twice before working with them because it seems like they are very unlikely to let go of your credit card. When company tells you they wound charge you any longer the they probably should do that.

I was a client for about 8 months,I called the frim to cancel my account because I was layed off from my job and I could no longer keep my payments up to date.,,well to my surprise after calling and cancelling my account they took 71 points from my credit scores.Say the least I was back on the phone asking why did they delete my points . I was told that once my account was no longer activity that they no longer had to keep my points activity.I paid $89.95 monthly payments to get my credit back on track .I felt that all the money spent was a waste. When I first signed up for the services i was told that you could cancel your account at anytime, but I wasn't told that any points that had increased on my credit score would be taken back. They took my credit score points back but they didn't refund me any money,,is that fair,,no i don't think so.I feel as if I was taken advantage of,,How fair was that to mislead peoples.

Horrible service and customer service is only nice when they try to sell you something or try to retain you. The process is not user friendly, I paid at least 6 months of the highest tier but all I keep getting is an email stating “we sent this to your lender” - everytime I called and asked why I haven’t seen movement and why I am paying so much considering all I am asking help is with the student loan and a couple of old unpaid debts but I have 0 results and my credit didn’t improve whatsoever! I would not recommend this service and don’t let them talk you into buying the most expensive package so they can “aggressively” pursue - I spoke with 2 different reps who told me I was paying way too much for very little dispute on my case but then a month before I attempted to cancel again, a rep told me paying the higher package will speed things up but as you guess it... nothing! When I requested to cancel the service, the representative actually hung up on me. I am giving you an honest review and I am trying to save you all money. They are too big of a company to help you one-on-one so it’s best if you just do a little research and do it yourself

I have been with Lexington law for 18 months. the first time I called I was on the phone less than 15 minutes to get signed up and collect my payment. I needed to call several times since then and the least amount of time I've waited to talk to omeone was 45 minutes. several months ago they convinced me to use the escalated approach. both times I waited for 2 months to get an answer at $130 a month to Lexington and got the same answer unless you have additional information it's already been disputed. they did that two times and both times the company came back and said they've already disputed if they're not disputing again. I called again today and they told me to try the escalation approach again. I asked to speak with a manager and they put me through to a Marianne. when I told her about the escalation approach obviously she didn't know I spoke to somebody else in the company. She told me whoever suggested that approach was a moron. When I told her it her company that offered that she actually giggled. Need I say more, I canceled .

After I signed up, outside of setting up the dashboard, they didn't do anything for me until after the introductory period was over. They never tried to grasp my situation and they NEVER communicated with me until I stopped paying them. Only one credit agency ever sent me a response to their supposed disputes during the several months I was with them. I did get some things removed from my credit but in a several month period it should had been a lot more my credit was stolen from me by identity theft I literally only have one thing on my credit that I actually did myself and it was a 500$ loan when I was like 18–19 I explained to them I’m in the market for buying a house and I needed my credit score up about 20 points that’s it and they encouraged me they could do it within a month or two no kore then 3 months that I sign up for the higher premier account. Idc to spend all the money in the world if it builds my credit I’m not a money hungry person it’s just money! But I do t want to keep paying for something that isn’t helping or that I could do on my own for free so with that being said I will probably be cancelling my subscription 😒 I say there services probably work for someone who actually doesn’t have too bad of credit so if your in the 600 range go ahead try them out but if your in the 500 range I don’t think there able to help in my opinion! Maybe in a couple years period

Thieves!!!!! They do not go after the accounts you specifically ask them to, even though you ask you which accounts you want them to focus on first and foremost. They start out full speed ahead, but quickly drop you in the bucket with everyone else whose money they are collecting monthly. Some things will come off, but they are old, and so easily disputable I was able to start sending the letters and having items removed on my own. When I canceled their service, on a recorded line, they still charged me, then told me that I never called to cancel while still trying to talk me into staying by telling me how great they are! Maybe they started out on the up and up, however they are highly unethical now, and their business practices are les than stellar! Be wary, do your homework, and if possible go with a private firm who will actually earn their pay!

They are super fast... at taking your money. When I called just to inquire, they were oh so quick to get into sales pitch mode. That was fine, I understand they have something to sell. We reached some level of understanding as to generally what was going to happen and said they needed $14 to pull my credit report. Fine. As they pointed out, it did make sense to add my wife to the process, but she was not in the room at the time. "That's ok," they said, "we will call back later to get her authorization and we won't charge or pull her credit till we speak with her". Sounds reasonable. BUT, then I notice another $14 charge hit my account as I am speaking with them! And an email saying that her credit was pulled. Wait, What?! Without speaking with her? Isn't that illegal anyway? Someone sure wanted another $14! This seems fishy already. SO I read the documentation. If I don't want to have any further charges I have like a day to cancel and I have to do it in writing. (oh, you can cancel any time...doesn't mean they won't be still charging you.) (yes, I understand that is in compliance with what is legal, but not what is right under any customer service standpoint) So with everything so far, I just didn't feel comfortable with them and decided to cancel. I really didn't trust them, so I sent in the cancelation forms via FAX and certified mail. REALLY not trusting them, I also closed the card I gave them to prevent them from "accidently" charging me more. Sure enough, the next (business) day they attempted to charge that account for the full amount. I got an email acknowledging the cancelation AND an email from them saying my payment did not go through. Over the next two weeks, I received repeated phone calls and emails but never a one to my wife asking for her authorization. I finally did call back and pointed out to the person that I had canceled. Once they realized that they said, "Oh, ok, I see now. But there are still some charges to your account..." I quickly pointed out that I had canceled within the no-obligation period and have documentation to that fact and owed them nothing. After further conversation and "research", they finally relented and agreed that I owed them nothing. They sent me a further acknowledgment of my cancelation and agreed the correspondence would stop. Emails continued for another week talking about “all they were doing” for me (nothing). I still am not sure what I will do about the unauthorized access to my wife’s credit report. Just a really bad experience and I highly do not recommend dealing with them. There are other alternatives, some who actually have some regard for customer service.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I called to get a REPO removed from my credit I got about 5 years ago because I am a licensed Loan Officer and some states require me not to have any negative items on my credit report. When I called I was told they do REPOs all the time and it's one of there specialties so it would be very easy for them to get it removed. With that being said they couldn't guarantee results but I was told if they couldn't get any item removed my money would be returned. It has been 3 months since I joined them and they did nothing but send a dispute and coming from someone that's worked in an industry similar to this all it took was for someone to fill out a quick form and sending it to the ONE collector I have in my report. When I initially reached out to get an update a gal named LAUREN let me know it takes the bureaus 30 to 45 days to complete their investigation. So I let 50 days pass before reaching out again for an update and this time a gal named SARAH told me it takes them 30 to 60 for the bureaus to investigate. The fact that there employees don't have the same answer the a simple question shows the lack of expertise so I cancelled my services and of course I popped the question, will I be getting a refund (obviously I knew that wouldn't be the case) I was just curious and she had the audacity of saying no I will email you the signed contract you signed when you started and that they will be charging me 1 additional time, for the partial month since I didn't cancel my services until today with is the 24th. So I was told that on the 5th of October I would get billed that additional charge. Please please do not use LEXINGTON LAW they will tell you what you want to hear at first and than pull you a long and feed you unnecessary information to drag this as long as they can so they can collect that fee. I was lucky enough to only have 1 item that I needed to be removed so I was only paying about 70 a month but if you have several items they can charge you hundreds of dollars and before you know it you've invested so much for nothing.

My opinion, they are awful. They told me for the $109 a month that included both my husband and I. After 4 months, I find out they didn't even open an account for my husband and nothing had been done on his credit bureau. They send out letters as if they were written by you (not on any letterhead paper showing they are a legal firm). Two letters were returned to me as the addresses were wrong, and the letters, in my opinion, looked like they were sent from a 5th grader - just awful. When I signed up, they told me I just needed a few things off my credit bureau and it would probably just take a month - huh! Not so. I recommend not using them and get a local attorney that you know will get it done.

I feel scammed by the manner this company does business. Fails to communicate after you sign up, and then refuses to cancel within the grace period without additionally charging. In my request to decline service. I was told I would be charged $122 regardless. This was not communicated. In fact the opposite was spoken, of no charge if called in by grace period. They push a sale and don't let you take the time to think about it no matter the amount of times you try to ask for time to consider. They lie and tell you there is a cancellation period to get you into the trap of reoccurring charges so you can never afford to even pay your debt. Don't waste your time or money. I am extremely disappointed in their unprofessional way of business

I think ppl feel safer because the “law” in Lexington law. During the initial set up they asked me for some insite on how to remove each item I thought “that’s wtf I’m overpaying you for” but what ever. This place moves at a snails pace matter fact a snail on crutches moving backwards, in my opinion it’s just so they can charge you for more months. My biggest issues the the app that you use. Around my second month I checked my status and it read “reviewing responses” from over a month ago. (Keep in mind I was told that they have 30 days to respond or they have to remove them) then out of nowhere it asked me again how they should dispute the items and pretty much started over again with “intervention letter sent” they seem dishonest there is no communication and I would never recommend anyone sign up no matter what the “reviews” say. I spend 109 dollars for three months to have three items removed and on of the removed items was something that I paid in full and got them to agree to remove it... so two, two items on there part.... I've been with with Lexington for a few years now. Unfortunately I havent been able to afford the 90 dollar payments. So I called to cancel and the guy I talked to on the phone told me I could pay the late fee and then he would cancel my account. The late fee was 19.95. Well today they tried pulling another 90 dollars out of my account. 🤔 I called the firm and asked why they were taking money out with I canceled over a month ago. She told me it's because it wasnt in the notes. And my payments weren't clearing. So now I'm out 90 dollars and they wont give me my money back. Your paralegals should really stick to their words cause it's not ok to deceive people like that.

I only had 1 negative report on my credit and it was looking bad for me because I was trying to buy a house. So I heard about lexington law but havent heard anything bad. I thought if what the heck I'll just try it. I didnt do my checks like I should of. Anyways only 1 negative report and in 3 months nothing has changed. I was told upfront that I only had 1 negative report and that it shouldn't take too long but cant give any guarantees. I dont know why that in 3 months nothing changed. I wasnt being informed of what's been going on. I had to ask them of the status of my case. If anyone were I'm my shoes they would think that they were getting ripped off like I was. So I went ahead and put a stop to my case and I was still charged. I have seriously wasted time and money on lexington law. I wasnt able to get me a new house because of Lexington law just wanting to keep on getting money from me and instead of doing their job. Before you sign up with lexington law do your homework. Theres a lot of company's out there that offer the same price as lexington law and do a better job at getting things done faster and wont have to keep on taking money from you when you're already hurting trying to fix your credit. How can you fix your credit when a credit company just wants to keep taking money from you. That's LEXINGTON LAW.

Until this morning, I was a client with Lexington Law for two months. I did not expect to see an improvement in that short amount of time. However, I also did not expect to be given NEGATIVE REMARKS on my credit reports due to the letters they sent to my creditors. The first time I called, the paralegal seemed confused and uncertain that their letter was the reason I was given a negative rating on my credit reports for my old Macy's account. She said it had to be for another reason because the letters that Lexington Law sends are brief letters asking for information and not to dispute anything. Then it just happened again yesterday with another creditor. Discover Bank submitted a negative report to my creditors because they said I disputed my account. I am extremely upset about my experience with this company as a result.

I agreed to their services if they agreed not to call me via phone. Especially during work hours. They swore to me they could text. I agreed to that. They claimed to have set up an account for me at their website that I could view that way. The account would never recognize my password and name SEVERAL times (even after I continually tried to update them and had the info written DOWN). It just didnt work. I tried to email the link they sent me for issues after attempting to call them and being put on hold for over 20 min. I kept getting my email sent back to me saying there was "no such address" (and it was their tap on link). They daily called me almost to the point of harrasively even though they said they wouldnt call me (especially during work hours). I had explained that I worked with very small children and couldnt take my eyes off of them. I never was abke to access my acct after the first day and nobody ever helped. The other dumb one I emailed would respond "with issues to go to my account in the web and address any question on THERE" (When the issue was that I couldnt get in.) They still charged me tge first $89 SAYING they performed THEIR portion of the job by setting up my acct etc. Do NOT use this COMPANY. FAKE links. No assistance helping with web acct issues. Nada. You will get ripped OFF.

One of the worst company I have ever dealt with. Call in at 2:08 PM spoke with a paralegal by the name of Erica, at first I just had a few basic questions on my account. 1) why when I call in it’s was saying you sent out challenges to Transunion however it does not show up on my client dash board. - puts me on hold for about 3-5 mins when she gets back stared she will put in a ticket to get the issues resolved (mind this the second time I called in about this and the first paralegal told me the same thing) 2) then I ask if they can re-pull my credit for Experian since a few things were removed from my Experian report not because of Lexington law but me negotiating with my creditors in order for them to remove it. - she then say she can’t pull my report it has to wait 30 days from the last time they pulled it. Up to this question o had no intentions of canceling 3) can I cancel my service? (Ask with no intentions on canceling just wanted to see if the review are true) - if you cancel your service you will be charge an additional $121 for work that has been done. - what work has not been done that I haven’t paid for? - we sent out challenges on the 9th of June to TransUnion (which I can’t see because it does not update on client dashboard) 4) I then ask to speak to a supervisor. She puts me on hold for 10 mins comes back and says her supervisor is busy. 5) what is supervisor name? She responded Kathlyn. I told her I can wait all day I don’t mind I just want to speak to her. She responded we are just going to cancel your service without going back and forth. She cancels my service and then hangs up on me. I called back again and then spoke with a paralegal by the name of Crystal. Who I explained the situation to. I told her Erica cancel my service and I all I want to do is speak with a supervisor before we canceled anything. She say she will get someone but it may take some time cause they are old and use a walker. She then comes back on the line about 10 mins after and says I spoke with the supervisor and HE said he already told Erica that we are going to put a ticket in that is all we can do. I then said to her “oh your supervisor what is HIS name?” She responded Andrew. I then ask you and Erica have the same supervisor. She responded yes. I then I said interesting cause Erica told me HER name was Kathlyn. The lies this company tells is insane. Don’t trust them don’t work with them. Rich S New York

I just called to cancel my account with Lexington Law and was told I now owe for another month if i cancel today. When I signed up I was told I could cancel anytime and wouldn't owe anything else. The lady I spoke with said that they bill like the phone company. I signed up on 5-20-2019 for 14.99 my service was to start on June 1,2019 for 129.99 per month and next payment would be on July 1,2019. I was signed up by Mark with the understanding that I could cancel anytime , but now they want me to pay a cancellation fee basically because today is June 28,2019 and July has not started??? After hanging the phone up and clicking on the reviews I am shocked at what I'm seeing what all these reviews being almost the same issues. Wow!

Horrible horrible horrible!!! DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY!!! When u first talked to the lady in the phone, I was outside into signing up, she lied to me about numerous things to get me to sign up! First she told me that they couldn't do anything until I paid the initial $15 to get started, well I never wanted their service to begin with so I never paid the $15! Two weeks later, I'm getting charged $89.95 by them, when the discussion was $25 a month, AFTER I paid they initial $15 (which I never paid cuz I didn't want their service)! Then to weeks after that, I'm getting charged $24.95. then two weeks after that I'm getting charged $24.95! When it was supposed to bed MONTHLY!!! These people will lie to you over and over, tell u that u never spoke with a person, that you never called, that you never changed anything in your account. They will lie saying they've already done this and done that for you and you owe for that, when in reality, they haven't done anything but messed up your credit even more!!! DO NOT EVER MESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!!! THEY'RE A JOKE!!!

OMG I dodged a bullet with these guys. I spoke with someone about two weeks ago on my drive home from work. I did notice he was kinda pressuring me to make a commitment and sign up while I was driving. I informed him that I'm driving and that I would like to research the company before signing up for anything. They have been sending me text messages over and over about signing up. So today 6/18/2019 I finally got a chance to look at their site and cover some reviews and I'm so lucky to have dodge this mess of a company. I will reply stop to the text messages and NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. Please just take the time to go over some of the reviews on this page. I feel bad for all of the people this company took advantage of. Looks like ill just dispute my own credit, since I can't trust a company

LexingtonLaw is nothing but a bunch of greedy people who do not do anything but take your money I disputed 2 accounts on my own before I even reached out to LexingtonLaw and it resulted in the accounts. Being dropped off my report and they charged me 150 to cancel the services the woman in the phone explain it’s because they already started working on my credit and she named the accounts that I took care of on my own theses people are not here to help you they are only there to cause more debt and cost more money to take care of things you can do on your own and in a more timely fashion do not waste your money or time that money can be used to work out deals for yourself with the creditors and collection agencies

I was transferred to LexingtonLaw through Credit Karma. The lady I talked to was nice in the beginning but then when she said that the payment to sign up was going to be $14.99, I told her I wouldn’t be able to do that today just because I was already behind on bills, I couldn’t spend a cent over my budget. So then she kept saying well don’t you want to invest in your future? She kept saying “You told me this and you told me that” and she kept insisting on payment after I told her two or three times that I didn’t have $14.99 and I wasn’t interested anymore. People like that I don’t like. They seem desperate for your money which seems sketchy to me. I’ve already been scammed twice before and I’m not gonna go through that again. Hire better people who are sensitive to what you’re going through and what needs you have and stop looking for ways to suck up people’s money.

ZERO STARS. When I signed up, I clearly asked SEVERAL times for everything I would be billed for. The lady said I would be charged $109ish for 1 month and THAT WOULD BE ALL as long as I cancelled on a certain date. I cancelled a few days prior to that date and then was told that I would have an exit fee!! I argued the charge, even asked them to review the original calls, but was basically told "too bad, you signed the contract." So it doesn't matter what they SAY, only the fine print. That's a SCAM. Do not trust them! I won't pay the "exit fee" on principal, and the irony is... the company I hired to help with my credit will end up making it worse!

Don't waste your time & money with this firm. They took $534.79 of my money over 5 months after pulling my credit report for $14.99 in Jan and reviewing it. They claimed they would be able to help me especially since I was a victim of fraud which caused my credit issues. They claimed that I would have a case manager work with me to make sure the file was handled properly. I had 2-3 conversations at intake where I explained the details of my case. Nothing was done in 4 months time when they asked for 45 days to improve my credit by at least 20 points. Find a local law firm who has a good reputation working with creditors and bureaus and save yourself the time and money this firm charges for doing nothing for you. I had to do this in order to get my credit restored. I called and disputed the charges made by Lexington law and asked for a refund plus a conversation with one of their managers. The paralegal who answered my call asked me, "Did you send us any documents about the criminal fraud cases so we could send those to the creditors involved?" I told her this was the first time anyone at LL asked me for this in 4 months they had my case. They did nothing to repair or restore my credit. I asked for a full refund & a manager to call me back but it has now been 8 days and none of this been done.

I was a returning customer and currently very disappointed. I used them for a month for a $129.99/month fee. After the month passed I contacted them to let them know that I was laid off from my job and to cancel my account. Now they are claiming that I owe them $201 and threaten me to report my account to collection if I don't pay them, which I find ironic since I tried to used to them to help me clear my credit and now they are threatening to do the opposite. I contacted them again to see why they are charging me so much even though I was suppose pay $129.99 per month and now my balance is $201. They claimed because of late fees which no one previously told me and besides I had cancel my account. In addition, none of the items I prioritized to be removed from my credit report were removed and remain there. They falsely claimed that they removed two negative items from my credit report but this is not true because those items I have had already disputed through Credit Karma yet they were trying to take the credit for it. This company has changed from the first time I used their services. Furthermore, they refused to accommodate my requests and now are charging me fees that I was not aware I was being charged. Also, I keep getting emails from my capital one account saying that Lexington Law Firm is trying to take money out. They do this up three times per day every 9 days or so. First they attempted to take $129.00 but I didn't have the money so then they tried to take $79.99 and finally took $19.99 out of my account because that's all I had left. This is a scam since you can just dispute negative credit report items yourself through Credit Karma, or directly thorugh Transunion, Exquifax, or Experian. No need for this services, especially when their paralegal leave key details during the opening account process. I won't used this service again ever, it is inefficient and I will advise for you to save your money and find different alternative in order to repair your credit. This was a mistake on my behalf and I should had never contacted Lexington Law Firm because they did not helped me instead did the opposite and created a greater debt and in addition threaten me to send my account to COLLECTIONS.

I was directed to Lexington Law to help repair my credit. As I live on a tight budget I explained to them that I would have money in my account at the end of the month. They agreed not to charge me until then. Well they charged my account right of way and caused my account to be overdrawn. I was charged an overdraft fee. Bi have asked them to close my account with them and credit me back what they charged and the overdraft fee caused by them. I have still not got these fund back. I would not recommend them to anybody at anytime for anything. How unprofessional of them to not correct their error that cost me.

If you want to fix your credit don’t waste your time with this company. All they do is send out dispute letters which you can do yourself and nothing changes. They gave me a number to call when i have questions nobody ever picks up. You have only 5 days from when you signed up to send in a cancellation letter to them. I signed up 3/7/19, i sent my letter 3/11/2019. They still charged me so ok. I was called by one of the paralegal to verify that i sent in the cancellation letter and he suggest other plans so i agreed if i want the service i would call back. April comes and they charge me for service ? And I tried to call them to talk to someone i get nobody. I contacted the online support where the lady said she can’t refund my money because they did work for me and that i agreed to continue service like are you serious. That’s the most fraudulent thing i ever seen. Why would i waste my time to send a cancellation letter a couple days after i signed up to agree to continue service.. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME , Dispute your own credit. People just want money that’s all.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This is a terrible company! Please do not do business with them. I signed up with the only two months ago and I was told I could cancel at anytime. That is a lie. I am currently trying to get a hold of them to remove my card on file and cancel their services due to lack of communication, results and discrepancy. I have been trying to contact them for 14 days with only failure as a result. I have been on hold for 40 minutes to 2 hours every single day with no one answering calls. This is unacceptable for any line of business and I don't recommend using their services AT ALL. I contacted them by email and left several only for them not to be repsonded to or answered. This is down right ridiculous for a company that claims to have 30+ years of business under their belt. Please do not use their services. They are refusing to let people cancel.

If I could rate this company a ZERO I would. My Husband and I just bought a home. Two + months ago we were looking to buy a home and "Lexington Law" popped up in my feed. We were so excited to fix our credit. We were promised so many things. "Only $14.99 and you cancel at anytime "! A few days later they called and said we had to pay around $300-$400. Two months later I called and asked "Have you guys done anything for us yet "? I was told they sent "1" letter out and then "I" was asked to mail in my own letter to the debt collector and then pay them again. I was so furious! They offered to bring down my payment to $50 a month, instead of $150. They only thing I would be able to do is see my credit score. I agreed. The month after STILL NOTHING! They called again asking for my money. We were going to cancel and then some mysterious email appeared describing a contract and how we can't cancel free, or anytime. We never signed a contract. We did accept the text that was explained to us as......."Just setting up our account ". I guess this is their contract. I was so upset because my FIRST question was "So we can cancel anytime and with no repercussions ". He said "yes anytime and for free". Obviously this was another lie! I have been emailing and calling DAILY. Not one person has contacted me back, but O I did receive another bill email. On top of that it was a bill for the normal amount $300, not the $50 like I was told. I cannot believe this Company isn't out of business yet. O wait I can. They are liars and steal millions from everyone. Honest, hard working people trying to fix their credit. I am sick to my stomach and we are so upset. I guess that's my fault. I should have researched more and read all the negative/similar reviews. DON'T WASTE your money. This is a scam!!!

I am very disappointed this time around. I have used them in the past and they were better. Now they just take the money and do nothing. I am in the process of buying a home and needed to get my credit right to do so, i called and paid all their fees etc but 2 months have gone by and nothing has been removed and everytime i call i get bs about how everything looks good etc. Finally i just shut off my CC. I guess the bigger you become the crappier the service. Do it yourselves.. pay the small balances off, call the collection company and negotiate with them most will cut the debt in 1/2 since they purchased the debt for pennies on the dollar. Also pay off the balance every month and don't use the CC unless you can pay it back ASAP, high balances hurt your score. Goodluck.

I cannot express how disappointed I am in Lexington Law. Just yesterday, I signed up for the service and spent over 1 1/2 hours with Marissa, a Credit Consultant. I paid for the credit report even though this website, along with others indicate it's free of charge instead of the $14.99 I paid. During the session, we went over every single credit item (and there are lot of them) on all three bureaus. Today, I receive an email asking me to go through my credit reports and identify those items that need to be disputed one by one. This couldn't be true, since I completed the process yesterday. I called in and waited. The Paralegal explained that my file had not been completed. In fact, Marissa, labeled each item as not applicable. What? It may seem small to them, but dealing with credit issues is hard and painful. It's important to know you can believe it people who are working on your behalf; not to mention the service is NOT free. I asked to speak to a supervisor. Of course, no one is available. Yes, I'm ranting because I'm always disappointed in poor customer service and a lack of professionalism especially when you're just getting started. The worse part is nobody and I mean nobody cares!!!!

This place is a complete scam. Originally called to sign up my fiancé and the enrollment person informed me we could sign up together at a discounted rate of 119 in stead of just paying 100$ for him by himself. THATS ALL HE SAID. the next month i got charged 239$. When i called they refused to refund insisting i was a liar and their enrollment reps are scripted so he did in fact tell me this. The charged me another 80$ to cancel and refused to let me cancel my fiancees account that gets billed to MY CREDIT CARD. Oh and i had to call in and finish my own dispute for the nearly 319$ they basically robbed me of.

I got involved in Lexington Law through another site where I was looking at rent-to-own homes. (that site, the rent to own one is a complete waste!). And what Lexington pitched seemed really great. I'm sure they are great in the end but please make sure you have the money to.. fix your money. I only had them for a month and shelled out well over $100. I think my credit is a little better but I do not at all feel like it was worth it right now. I guess it's my own fault for getting caught up in the sales pitch and a pitch it certainly was, complete with deals and we-can-dos! If you don't have money set aside to work on your credit already DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE! lol.

Giving one star because there are no lower available. Terrible customer service, inaccurate client facing information, requests for client responses sent to emails that are never seen in the inbox of the client (but their propaganda gets in the inbox with no problem. Upon calling they have an expert team of never addressing directly any issues, but are well versed in talking around in circles and saying the app (that was proposed as the single source of information for users on the go during the sign-up process) has issues and those are IT issues, not theirs....so also well versed in pass the buck approaches.

I started with Lexington law in 08/2018 they started August as it seems they are only working on one report and that is Equifax. Nothing else changed. I called to cancel a week straight and kept getting an automated system. I finally sent an email and they want to take another 129 dollars from my account stating they render services before billing month every month they stated they sent something to trans union only one report Equifax seem to move. I went against 3 different people who told me not to go with them. So warning make sure you understand what you are signing. Know what you can afford and dont fall for the Hype.

When I first started with Lexington Law I was overwhelmed obviously as I have no idea about credit. When I called I spoke with a lady that stated there is a $14 feel to pull credit, this makes sense. She then stated the first fee is 129.00 to start working on my case. She said that it takes 5 business days before they pull this out of my account as they are a law firm and require that work has to be done before they can bill a client. So I agreed as it all makes sense. I have a total of 8 charge off on my account. not a lot but they are impacting my credit and again I know nothing of this. So they told me they sent out 8 letters and then I got charged the 129.00. Makes sense. immediately 2 came back stated they are fixing it. I was amazed and shocked and happy, was like this is wonderful. On another note my gf did the same thing. except she has 83 negative marks on her account. immediately 2 came back stating they fixed it. She thought the same thing, wonderful. after a couple of weeks of silence I called up and asked what else is being done. They said that it takes from 30-60 days typically to hear anything back. Well, if two accounts opened with Lexington law only show 2 things each being done with the accounts each month, that tells me they charge 129.00 per month two write two letters a month per account. now I wish they told me that to begin with. well in talking with the gentleman I told him I'm not happy with only 2 things per month being done and want to cancel my account. He then stated that I will be billed a pro rated charge for next month. I asked him why am I being billed when I was already billed in advance. He then stated that they billed me the 129 up front to set up the account, and then I'm billed 129 per month for the two letters they sent out in the prior month. I'm not going to lie, I'm rather angry, but I can keep my composure. upset I told him I was not happy but to invoice me. He came back minutes letter stating that he wont invoice me for the month due to the confusion. all in all I understand now how they work, two letters a month for 129.00/month on their top plan. whats also remarkable is he said with only 8 items I should not of even been billed for that plan as it wasn't necessary. So you have people giving out wrong information when you sign up and over billing when you sign up, to find out little to no work being done each month as you progress and they suck up your money. in final, I paid 14.00 for credit check and 129.00 for two charge offs to be removed. That's all anyone's going to get. and I sure don't have the thousands of dollars its going to take to have my g/fs 83 accounts to be handled at 2 per month.

Initiated case for a simple 30 day late payment dispute November 22, 2017. Lexington charged $109.95 per month until I cancelled today (September 20, 2018). Their methods do not include calling the creditors, just sending a litany of mail requests which the creditors don't have to respond to. The creditor just sends a response saying "we've reviewed the case and have not changed our determination". I hired Lexington because I thought I was too busy to do this myself, but after 9 months of no results, $90 in notary fee's for mail they sent on my behalf, and approximately $700 in lexington fees (I got them to waive some of the fees for non-performance) there was nothing to show. What put me over the edge is that I filed 1 CFPB report against the creditor, and then a senior case reviewer called me the next day, and got to the bottom of my issue within 1-2 weeks. Lexington knew this was an option and chose to take the fees instead of resolve the issue, this is just bad business practice, and as helpful as the customer service reps were with helping waive some of the fee's its still a complete waste of time, money, and truly a 1 star experience.

Very deceptive and extremely slow in their work or responses. Very bad attitude customer service representatives when you call for clarification of issues. They are a rip off as well. I had just ONE late payment report on my credit. They solicited and I picked up the phone and fell for their trap. I was told that people with twenty or even more negatives on their report get it wiped out in sixty to ninety days and with one, it should not be a problem. After payment, then they say No Guarantees, which to me is understandable but however this should be spelled out upfront. When you tell me, I have no issues with one late payment compared to others with worse negatives, it kind of passes the message that mine should be easy. They charged me for payment for my credit report and I see online that they claim the report is free. They say they do not charge until they have done work and the initial service interval charge should be paid within 5 - 15 days and subsequently within the service interval which I believe is monthly. After being with them for almost 3 months, I still have the negative late payment on my Transunion report. Yet I was told to go with and went with the most aggressive payment plan and I saw no aggressiveness on their part. With a simple letter Equifax removed the negative report yet when Transunion did not, they had to wait for me to push them to no avail. I called to cancel only to be told that my initial payment was for a service fee that created my account. So, basically, what they should have said in their engagement letter was you have to pay an initial contract fee within 5 - 15 days and that contract fee is equal to your monthly payments. So, while I thought my initial payment was for a month, it was just for opening the account and I am told I have to cough out almost the exact monthly fee as my final fee, while I thought I should be charged for only 11 days. The representatives see the folly of the issue as I point it out but are extremely inpatient and show no empathy or understanding. I feel I just wasted my resources here with nothing done or achieved as Trans-union was the reason I went to them, since I don't have the late payment on Experian.
