Titan Auto Warranty is an extended car warranty provider.

The company boasts that purchasing an extended car warranty has never been easier thanks to its advanced technology and resources. If you’re interested in learning more about Titan Auto’s warranty plans, you can fill out an online form and get a quote in less than two minutes.

However, there are a few things that raise some flags for us and we recommend that you use caution before working with Titan Auto.

The Good

  • Online Quote
  • Coverage Plans
  • 24/7 Customer Support

Online Quote

If you’re interested in working with Titan Auto Warranty, you can quickly get a quote by filling out the online form. The form asks for information regarding your vehicle and some personal info (first and last name, email, phone number, and zip code).

Keep in mind that by filling out the form, you give Titan Auto Warranty permission to contact you via email, phone, or text.

The form is simple and should only take a few minutes to complete (granted, you have all the needed information).

Coverage Plans

Titan Auto offers three extended warranty plans.

The Powertrain Plan offers the least amount of coverage but is a great option if you’re looking for some basic coverage for the following:

  • Engine
  • Transmission
  • Rear-wheel drive
  • Front-wheel drive
  • Seals and gaskets

Titan Auto’s Powertrain Plus plan covers everything the Powertrain plan does plus the following additional coverage:

  • Exterior
  • Windshield
  • Tires and wheels
  • Air conditioning, cooling, and heating
  • Electrical
  • Sensors
  • Steering
  • Brakes
  • Wear and tear
  • Front suspension

However, if you want full coverage, you’ll want to go with the Bumper to Bumper plan. This plan covers everything from the previous two plans, plus everything covered by MFG warranty.

All of Titan Auto’s plans come with the following coverage:

  • Labor
  • Rentals
  • 24/ roadside assistance
  • Trip interruption

24/7 Customer Support

Titan Auto offers customer support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The customer support team can help answer questions about quotes, coverage, and filing a claim.

The Bad

  • Undisclosed Vehicle Requirements
  • Not a Member of the VPA
  • Few Social Media Reviews

Undisclosed Vehicle Requirements

Nowhere on the Titan Auto Warranty website does the company mention specific vehicle requirements for its plans.

Most car warranty providers will disclose — upfront — the specific parameters your car has to meet to qualify for coverage.

For example, a car warranty company might only allow cars under five years old with less than 100,000 odometer miles to sign up for their Premium plan. Or the company might have a Powertrain plan that allows cars to be up to 15 years old and have less than 250,000 odometer miles.

The fact that Titan Auto doesn’t disclose this information upfront is frustrating as it will lead to consumers filling out the online form, only to find out that their car doesn’t meet the requirements.

To find out if your car meets all the plan requirements, you’ll need to fill out the online quote form or call the company directly. While this isn’t an unusual tactic (for the industry), it would be nice if Titan Auto just put the information directly on the website.

Not a Member of the VPA

Titan Auto is not a member of the Vehicle Protection Association or VPA. The VPA’s mission is “To promote regulatory transparency, education and accountability compliance and stability for marketing and servicing of vehicle service contracts.”

While being a VPA member isn’t required, we do highly recommend consumers work with companies that are.

Few Social Media Reviews

Titan Auto Warranty states that it has been in business for over 23 years.

Twenty-three years is a decent amount of time, and Titan Auto should have garnered a reasonable number of reviews during that time. However, when visiting the company’s social media profile, there are only about 20 reviews.

We aren’t recommending solely picking a company based on the number of social media reviews. Still, we find it odd that Titan Auto has been in the industry for almost a decade and only a handful of reviews — all of which are five stars (something else that may be suspicious).

The Bottom Line

Overall, we recommend using caution before working with Titan Auto Warranty.

While the company does offer three tiers of car warranty coverage, there are few specifics. Instead, Titan Auto has you fill out an online form to receive a quote. Once this is done, Titan Auto will contact you with more information. While this is a relatively commonly used strategy in the industry, it can be quite frustrating.

We recommend working with a car warranty provider that discloses important information upfront — or includes a sample contract on the website. That way, you know exactly what you’re getting before you sign up for anything.

So far my experience with Titan Auto Warranty has been top notch. The representatives are very knowledgeable and qhave been straight with me on costs and allowed me to take advantage of pay-in-full discount promos even after my original contract began. Thank you so much!

Our claim went really smooth to replace our engine. Titan Auto Warranty’s roadside was quick and we got the rental covered. We got the repairs done at our local Audi dealership and the service manager said it was a very easy process.

Stay away. They bend over backwards to take your money, try to use their service and you realize you've been burnt. If you have had bad dealings with Titan auto warranty, report them to as many agencies as you can. They are a scam company. You can get sales people to answer your calls, that's all they have. Buyer beware

SCAM. FRAUD. Am trying to get repair done right now and no one to talk to other than answering service who says they know nothing and will pass on message. No one ever calls back and no one responds to emails. Have submitted everything to them as contract says and they will not communicate, hence my vehicle is sitting at service center not being worked on.... this place should be out of business as they are stealing premiums from customers.... don't expect to be able to use the warranty when the day comes. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!

I purchased a warranty with this company. A short time later I had to sell the car and I was told I would get a pro rated refund after cancelling the unused warranty. I was told the refund was just over $1000. I was told I would receive it in 30 days. I am 50+ days out and no refund and I can't get a return text or a return call from anyone. Very disappointing. They were very quick to respond while selling me the policy, now nobody will speak to me. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!
