So far, I am pleased with this purchase. I chose to buy the higher end of coverage as I plan to keep my current vehicle for another 5 years. I have had other after market warranties, and there is always a reason why they can't cover a part your contract says is covered. I have only had to make one claim, but it was a very smooth transaction, part was covered as well as a rental as stated on my contract. I went with this company at the recommendation of my dealership. They handled everything, I didn't even have to call the warranty company. I previously had a warranty through Endurance, and it was a completely opposite experience. I will update review if I experience anything like some of the negative reviews in the future.

Took my car in to my mechanic with an issue that I hoped would be covered under ext warranty. Mech called them, they spoke for 5 mins and next thing I knew I was walking home because CARS made it that easy and painless , my car was covered and repaired by the following day. No hassle, no surprises, no delays. Quick and easy and satisfying. Too bad the repair was pointless as the opposite side suspension component decided to break too!

This is an unsolicited review! I have never purchased a vehicle warranty before. I’m old and thought I knew what was best. We purchased this warranty and I have been so thankful for it! We had several things go wrong with our Yukon XL that would have put us into major debt to have repaired. They covered us(several times over) and were quick to payment to dealerships!!! We will purchase another warranty with CARS protection plus if we ever get another used vehicle!

I called them and they told me to take it to the mechanic of my choice. They diagnosed it, called C.A.R.S and everything was covered that caused the dash lights to come on, speed sensor, wheel bearing and had a leak in a hose and it was replaced. Very happy

Overall, I was satisfied. I guess I bought a vehicle six months ago with this warranty within six months my transmission went out. It was towed to two different shops at my expense, and was diagnosed that the transmission was gone and needed to be replaced. The service shop that I sent it to called the warranty company got the claim processed everything was a very speedy process. I got it back in a reasonable amount of time and a holiday weekend. The only issue that I really had a problem with was the warranty company was trying to send a transmission that had the same amount of miles pretty much, 25,000 miles short shy of what my transmission had before it went out I felt as if it was pointless to put a used transmission in the vehicle with that amount of miles on it knowing I had issues already with the transmission so I did come out of pocket at $4000 of my own money and they only covered a small amount of the fees !

Cars Protection Plus is excellent! They were very quick to give the approval to the shop in order to fix the issues with my truck. One day turn and no questions asked. The shop was very impressed with how smooth it was for them as well!

I have a Liberty Shield contract. My Audi’s rear main seal and timing cover gasket (and a fees other things) failed. Liberty Shield paid for all parts and labor to the letter of the contract. VERY happy! Saved me over $8000. I am so glad I purchased the coverage.

What I like most is the warranty coverage saved me money. The only negatives I would say is the parts they offer for your vehicle are not the highest quality parts. Plus they don't fully cover on your mechanics rate. But even with those negatives, I saved money at least two thousand dollars this past year.

This is the ABSOLUTE WORST CAR WARRANTY COMPANY that I have ever had. My vehicle has been at the Dealership for a week and a half now because your company doesn’t want to be fair. I am being asked to pay for the Dealership to break down my transmission and it’s at your request that they have to break it down. The Dealership gave you every reason why my transmission failed and because you all don’t want to fix my vehicle I am being forced to pay the money because I have no other means of transportation. Then the nerve of you all to not even offer rental car coverage unless I pay first and then I may not even be reimbursed for the rental if the appeal isn’t approve. You all are the absolute worst and should be banned from offering car warranty coverage. I am contacting my attorney to see if anything can be done about this mess.

If there would be a zero, I would do it. I bought a car on 02/07/2022 and have a cars protection plus warranty. My car broke down 2 days later on 02/09/2022. Auto Spot LLC, hackensack said they can not do anything about it because I sign a paper says “as is”. They said to me I have a warranty and I should use it. And I used it to replace used transmission from Cars Protection Plus. My contact number is cpe258540 and it is for 2013 nissan sentra. After waiting for one and a half months I got the car and Cars protection plus said to me I must tow my car to nissan dealership to check tranmission and program the tranmission again. And I did it I have paperworks etc. when I went to have my car they said THIS TRANSMISSION IS BROKEN, YOU SHOULD TALK WITH WHO YOU GOT IT FROM, and I did. Dui from Cars protection plus, extension number is 2-2-4-8, said to me THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO, YOU SHOULD GO TO A MECHANIC AND START THE PROCESS OF CLAIM, PAY ALL THE THINGS AGAIN, DO THE ALL THE THINGS AGAIN, when I said to them the is other transmission will be good condition, they said to me , WE DO NOT KNOW BUT TOU HAVE A WARRANTY FOR 3 MONTHS SO YOU SHOULD DO THE CLAIM AGAIN. Right now I paid 1500$ for repair and get NOTHING. THEY DO NOT PAY EVERYTHING THAT THEY SAID FOR. THEY TRYING TO GET YOUR MONEY AND NOTHING ELSE. THEY ARE ALWAYS SAYING WE ARE COVER %100 AND STAND BY OUR PRODUCTS BUT THEY ARE NOT. I AM GOING TO WRITE EVERY WEB SITE THAT I SAW THAT CARS PROTECTION PLUS IS A SCAMMER DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

I discovered that my vehicle had an evap leak. When I took it in to get it repaired I found out that the dealership never turned in the contact with Cars Protection Plus. I called the dealership and was told they would check into it. They called me back and said that the company wouldn't cover the evap leak, so they weren't going to mess with sending it in, which should have been done when I purchased the vehicle back in October. I called Cars Protection Plus back and tried to fund out if it would be covered. I was told that they couldn't tell me that even thought I explained what plan I had based off of the paper work that I had right in front of me. The woman in customer service hung up on me while I was talking. Of course I said a few choice words after that, which on one heard because she was rude and hung up! Customer service is supposed to help the customer, yet I was hung up on while talking.

This shouldn't even have a star. This company would only cover $185.00 out of a $1200 dollar warranty job. You call them and ask if the part is covered and they tell you yes its covered and then tell the Dealership its not covered. Even the Dealership says this company is a total rip off and looking at the FACEBOOK reviews this company has a reputation of ripping people off and Law Suits. I will not ever continue to ever work with a company like this. This is total BS and look on FACEBOOK for CARS PROTECTION PLUS and you will see all the bad review and law suits this company has acquired, I would not do business with this company. Deserves a ZERO STAR RATING.

They failed to honor their warranty. The warranty was sold through a car dealer at time of purchase. The transmission failed within two months ... a $6,000 repair. They declared that the warranty did not cover the vehicle (a normal 2013 Yukon XL) because of a lift kit. But, the vehicle does not have a lift kit ... just slightly larger after market tires. Nothing in the warranty paperwork advised that the vehicle would be excluded, or mentioned anything about tire size. They refused to pay for the repair. They said they would refund the warranty cost rather than pay for the repair. That does not solve the problem. I still have to buy a warranty from another warranty company to pay for future potential issues, in addition to pay for the repair. Importantly, to repeat, nothing at the time of reviewing and entering the warranty contract provided for the limitation they used as a reason to say the warranty would not apply (tire size). And, the other reason they used (lift kit) was not accurate. They looked at photos from the repair shop and concluded it has a lift kit when it does not.

C.A.R.S Protection Plus is a complete scam for money. The people in this “company” are nothing but rude crooks who will try everything they can to avoid paying for repairs covered by the plans they sell. The crazy amount of complaints made against them via the Better Business Bureau says it all, I wonder how they can still be in business. My personal experience with them started when I purchased a Subaru Outback in the year range of the well-know Subaru head gasket issue. At the time of the purchase, the car had 80k miles, so close to when this head gasket issue is supposed to happen. The dealership I bought the car from sold me this C.A.R.S Protection Plus Unlimited Mileage Value Plus warranty insisting head gasket replacement, as well as many other parts, were fully covered. Long story short, a few extra thousand miles later, the head gasket started to leak (external leak). I went to my local Subaru dealership and they strictly refused to deal with C.A.R.S mentioning they had many troubles with them in the past. That and the fact it took us more than to weeks to find a Subaru Approved mechanic willing to deal with them in a 35 miles radius should have been my first clue. The mechanic diagnosed a leak in the head gasket as well as a rack and pinion leak, both covered under my plan. Before starting any repairs, the mechanic followed protocol and contacted C.A.R.S to advise them of the issue and give them an estimate for parts and labour as well as sending them pictures. He was told that in order for the head gasket repair to be authorized he would need to completely tear down the engine, something he said was totally unnecessary as there was a significant and visible leak. When he tried to speak to the C.A.R.S stating this was not needed and would add exponential cost to me to what would already be an expensive repair, he was only met with grief and the C.A.R.S representative hung up on him several times. I personally contacted C.A.R.S after the mechanic told me about his experience with them only to have someone hang up on me too and when I tried calling back, I was put straight to the voicemail, although they were still supposed to be open for another 25 minutes. I called back on the next Monday and after a long wait on the phone, I finally spoke to the receptionist who was clueless and transferred me to George (no last name, he refused to give it) who agreed he wasn't the one who dealt with this claim (Ed was the one, but again no last name and no one within C.A.R.S was willing to give me his last name). George told me the mechanic gave them no estimate. When I asked why the mechanic told me he told C.A.R.S the repairs would cost $2741 and Ed *no last name* told him C.A.R.S would pay up to $1161 after the $100, he said that was a lie. George was adamant that they would never give any payment estimate without the faults being clearly diagnosed even though they told the mechanic another story and gave him numbers. I said the rack and pinion fault was clearly diagnosed and he simply said to forget about it and focus on the head gasket issue. He explained C.A.R.S might cover up to five hours of labour for tear down depending on proof of diagnosis from the mechanic. When I asked what happen if they decide that the teardown does not demonstrate definitive proof of a head gasket leak, I was informed that they would cover nothing I would be responsible for the full cost of tear down and re-assembly. At this point, I ended the call and contact the mechanic to authorize him to officially open the claim for the rack and pinion repair. The mechanic wasted three days on fruitless talks on the phone with C.A.R.S that ended up nowhere as they kept hanging up at him. All this resulted in him no longer willing to deal with them as he lost a lot of time due to all this nonsense. He also called the car dealership and advised them of the trouble he had with C.A.R.S (and it was not his first time) and consequently, they are no longer selling C.A.R.S as their aftermarket warranty. I now find myself in a position of needing two significant repairs but cannot find any mechanic willing to deal with this company, not even a single garage. I feel like I've been sold a product that is absolutely useless and have wasted my money on what is a total scam. I have no started a formal complaint against them with the Better Business Bureau! These crooks should have been made to go out of business a long time ago! Do not buy any warranty from them, they will try anything to not honour their part of the contract!

This warranty company is borderline worthless. Should something go wrong with your car it is much more than just paying a deductible and getting your car fixed. Many shops won't deal with them. They will search for the shortest possible labor time and search the cheapest parts they can find and use this sum to determine what they will pay after the deductible. The shop I deal with is a service and sales business that stopped offering C.A.R.S. as a service contract because of these issues. Furthermore, this shop is very reputable and they refuse to use cheap parts so the service contract from C.A.R.S. is nearly useless. This contract may cover 1/4-1/3 of the repair cost unless you go to a fly-by-nigh outfit and risk shoddy work. Do not deal with this company. They are pleasant on the phone but that doesn't keep your car on the road.

Our a/c went down. The repair estimate from two separate garages were both about $2,000 to do the job right. CARS would only pay $544 for the repair stating only the defective part (compressor) should be replaced. Both garages said that the system was contaminated and the repair suggested by CARS would not last more than a year. They also stated when it broke again, CARS would not cover the repair a second time. With that said, we decided to just sell the car rather than putting $1500 into it and get a refund for the service contract we purchased from CARS....................next this happens; When buying this warranty, do not believe anything the salesperson tells you or shows you. The warranty cannot be cancelled for a refund, even though in the big print on their contract it says in large print; ALL REQUESTED CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS MUST BE IN WRITING AND WILL BE PROCESSED THROUGH YOUR LIENHOLDER, IF ANY, OR YOUR SELLING DEALER. ANY CANCELLED CONTRACT IS VOID AND WILL NOT BE REINSTATED. This surely makes you think you can cancel this contract but look at the small print under this a few lines down, you only have 20 days to do so!!!!!!!!!!!!; After 20 days from the Effective Date, there is no refund except in the case of a total loss, as determined by the insurance carrier, or repossession by the lienholder, and as long as no claim was made. If eligible, CARS will cancel this Service Contract for a monthly prorated refund, less an administration fee of $50.00. How are you supposed to read all the small print in a service contract?? I have had many service contract with many other reputable insurance companies and was always able to cancel the contract for a pro-rated refund. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!

The absolute worse scam in the U.S. The experience was so horrible that Thompson's Honda of Terre Haute, Indiana will never accept any warranty work from this company. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT buy a warranty from these clowns. If there were negative stars that's what they would receive from me. DO NOT BUY !!! I made the mistake of paying almost $2000 for this service/ warranty. First off there is basically no one who will work with them. Secondly they don't cover anything that you would need them too. They are insanely rude on the phone and can't even tell you anyone who will service you car. Basically I have had 2 issues with the car I bought a year ago ( I bought a lemon I know ) nothing was covered and I am now out an extra $2300. If you think its something you want call the company first and experience it first hand. Also check out their BBB rating , I really wish I had.

I have had the same experience as the orher two people that have reviewed this horrid company. I use my vehicle to earn my living with a deleivery company. CARS will never pay the full amount of repairs. Will never answer phone for claim in the same day, and will never refund money for towing. All they do is get a dealership to talk you into this warranty that is made to sound better than what it actually is. Keep your money! You will need it when it comes to repairs!

My car overheated and barely made it to a NTB were they immediately jumped into action to repair my car. C.A.R.S. refused to reimburse any repairs due to not following proper claim procedure by calling them first for claim #. I tried to call them however this was on a Friday after hours. How was i to get to work by Monday without my car??? They still refused to reimburse any cost for repairs over a technicality of not calling them first. This warranty plan sounded like a great deal at the time but i am canceling now. BEWARE!!! They leave you hanging in emergency situations.

Do not get a warranty from them, it is a total scam. Even for items listed as covered, they find a way to not pay because of small random notes in the fine print. Have had the warranty for 4 years and they haven't paid for a single thing (even for multiple things that should have been covered). DONT FALL FOR IT.

Required a "tear down" of transmission for diagnostics despite two reputable mechanics saying it was unnecessary. I was informed this was at my cost. Had scam with the used care dealership which did not at all explain all the "limits" to the policy. A total waste of money. I made a report to Better Business Bureau.

Like most insurance type companies, they will find any way to deny your claim. If you do a search online about aftermarket car warranties, you wont find a single article that encourages you to buy one. C.A.R.S. PP is exactly why. They are the equivalent of a sleazy used car dealer. In fact, that's where most of their policies are sold.
