3 Things You Need to Know Before Choosing a Blinds Company
Shopping for new blinds or shades can be a hassle, especially if you’re not prepared. Choosing among all of the different colors, materials, and available styles can be especially frustrating. On top of all that, you have to figure out which blinds company is giving you the best deal, which has the best service, and which company offers the most benefits for you. To make your buying decision as easy as possible, make sure you look at the three essential things you need to know before choosing a blinds company.
Prices
Don’t fall for the common tactic that companies use when they say they have the highest quality products with the lowest prices. Some blinds companies actually do have great prices and others might not. The best way of knowing which companies are telling the truth is to educate yourself on good pricing. The following are estimates of the best prices one can hope to find on popular blinds and shades according to Improvenet:
- Wood Blinds: $35.00 per window
- Cellular Shades: $45.00 per window
- Solar Shades: $40.00 per window
- Vertical Blinds: 60 cents per square inch
- Mini Blinds: $20.00 per blind
Prices will vary depending on the quality of warranty offered by each company, in addition to service quality. Make sure you look into the prices of each company you research and determine which will save you the most.
Determine Your Style
You should know the personality of the room you wish to buy window coverings for, even before asking for sample blinds and shades. According to Good Housekeeping, you need to understand your decorating style as well. Do you like rooms to be formal or more casual? Would you rather have colors be bold and fun or subtle and earthy? Do you want a room that is bright and inviting or would you rather have a room that is private and cozy? You should try to answer these questions before browsing for different window coverings, so you can make sure you get exactly what you’re looking for.
