WhatsApp is great. I absolutely love this app. It lets me communicate with friends in Spain and Mexico. I love being able to video chat with them and stay in communication. Before WhatsApp, I was unable to video chat with any of my international friends if they didn’t have the same phone as I did. So being able to send messages and make phone calls or video calls all on the same app is a huge convenience! Nothing but praise for this service.

Pros: Privacy and end to end encryption Text, voice and video messaging service No ads No added charges for international messaging Stable app Dropped annual .99 charge (was completely worth it) Cons: Really minor but attaching online gifs you have to go through 3 different menus to access, not as easy as iMessage Purchased by Facebook and who knows what they will do with the app with regards to user data

WhatsApp is a life saver. I am able to call, video chat, and text my sister while she is in the Dominican Republic. It's great having a way to communicate when out of the country. Works so well.

WhatsApp is great for group messenging. One on one calls sound clear as long as you have either consitent wifi or cell reception. If you are connecting to and from wifi during a call there will be some lag.
