Top Ranked Companies

The Good

  • No Long-Term Agreement
  • Connect Voice to Your TV
  • Xfinity Voice Unlimited
  • Xfinity Wireless Gateway

No Long-Term Agreement

Xfinity Voice is $65 per month for 12 months with no long-term agreement. This cost is around the industry average, but you also have the benefit of working with a company that has proven trustworthy in the past and provide many additional features that most companies don’t include.

Connect Voice to TV

Xfinity Voice is a powerful tool that connects to all of your personal televisions giving you easy access to any phone calls that come in. This service includes the following features:

  • Caller ID on your TV
  • Manage voicemails on TV
  • Text a photo or video to your home phone and view it on your TV
  • Connect to iPad, tablet, smartphone, or TV
  • Xfinity voice remote

Xfinity Voice Unlimited

The Voice Unlimited plan gives you unlimited calling and text to Canada, China, India, Mexico, Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore, and Puerto Rico via the Xfinity Connect mobile app. This app can be accessed through your mobile devices.

Xfinity Voice Unlimited grants customers access to not only unlimited calling but also unlimited text messages. This is new for most customers and is a benefit to those with relatives in areas outside of the United States.

Xfinity Wireless Gateway

Most VoIP service providers require you to use a specific modem for its service, but Xfinity allows access to many other modems. Customers who are unsatisfied with their communication network can change without a huge hassle.

Xfinity offers a router for individuals who do not have their own. This router is simple to set up and gives access to all Xfinity Voice services.

The Bad

  • Not Catered to Enterprise Levels
  • Nomorobo

Not Catered to Enterprise Levels

Xfinity Voice is not meant for enterprise levels. Although its service is impressive, it is not designed to handle a large number of users. All in all, it provides great service for small businesses and homes.

This service has been reported by many people to be ineffective. Nomorobo was created to help customers block spam and robot callers. Its services have received many awards and accolades, but some people who set up an account with Nomorobo have received more spam calls and have responded negatively to this service. The silver lining, you don’t have to use the Nomorobo feature and many would recommend that you didn’t.

The Bottom Line

Xfinity provides one of the most comprehensive packages in the VoIP industry. Although its services do not cater to big businesses, as a VoIP provider for small businesses and homeowners it is a great option. The product is especially beneficial for customers who frequently communicate with people across the globe.

Fairly good service but their continual price increases are absurd. Moreover, their overseas phone representatives are difficult to deal with—difficult to understand and won’t listen and interrupt you when you’re trying to convey the problem and they seem to be reading from a script.

Xfinity is usually pretty good about providing internet, but there are times in which there is a storm and it is almost impossible to get the connection back. Then trying to reconnect, it can either take 10 minutes or 2 hours.
