The Bad

  • Add-on Features
  • Contract
  • Fees
  • Phone-Only Customer Support

Add-on Features

Features not included in the standard rate plans include the following:

  • Additional storage
  • Auto attendant
  • Conference bridge
  • Call analytics for inbound calls
  • International, local, or parked DID
  • Shared Fax

With some competitors, analytics and auto attendant for incoming calls are a standard part of their UCaaS voice plans.

Contract

With Broadvoice, prices decrease with an extended contract. If you aren’t ready to commit to an extended contract, you will have to inquire about month-to-month pricing.

Keep in mind that the company does have a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. Within the first 30 days of activation, you can change your plan or cancel without any hassle. Shipping and handling are non-refundable.

Fees

If you choose to cancel your service, you need to do this 30 days in advance and be prepared for an early termination fee. The charge is either $99 or the remaining charges for the rest of your contract, whichever is less.

Phone-only Customer Service

Broadvoice customer service is available 24 hours a day, but only via phone. No live chat option is available at this time.

The Bottom Line

Broadvoice is a VoIP service provider with several service options. Customers have the choice of using an IP phone or accessing service through mobile or web-based apps. With this company, having a contract of up to three years will decrease your monthly service rates. An added benefit of using Broadvoice is the backup 4G network service, in the unfortunate circumstances of an internet outage.

With its platform, there is no costly hardware and no need for multiple phone providers — just cost-saving, cutting-edge, cloud phone technology. Everything you need is conveniently stored in the cloud and securely routed by the company's data network so your employees can connect and collaborate seamlessly, anytime, anywhere, on any device. We recommend considering Broadvoice for your VoIP service needs.
