The Good

  • Low Premiums
  • Variety in Plans
  • Customized Vision Plans for Employers

Low Premiums

EyeMed offers low premiums starting at $5 per month and is one of the cheapest options currently on the market.

Of course, the packages go up from there, but if you're looking for an entry level package for the lowest price possible, EyeMed is a solid option.

Variety in Plans

EyeMed has multiple different plan options, which makes it great for any budget or situation. Its several plan options include EyeMed Healthy, EyeMed Bold, and EyeMed Bright.

All plans cover comprehensive eye exams fully after a set copay. In addition to this comprehensive eye exam coverage, plan members benefit from additional discounts and out-of-network coverage.

Some plans cover frames, lenses, and contacts through allowances or cover them with a copay. Other plans only offer discounts for these services. With this flexibility, you can find an EyeMed vision insurance plan that fits your budget and meets your needs.

Customized Vision Plans for Employers

Employers interested in offering vision benefits to employees can offer plans through EyeMed. EyeMed will work with your company to customize a plan that would meet your needs.

Your employees will also benefit from EyeMed's tools, communications, and customer service that make managing and using their EyeMed insurance plan easy.

The company isnt really there to help you. Theyre there to make money. It takes a couple hours to get anything done via customer service if you can even talk to a human. Their computerized customer service is a disaster. But, it saves them employee costs, customer be damned. I would not recommend this company for anything. If it matters, I am a professional and have run businesses as well. This is a good example of how NOT to treat customers.

This company is impossible to work with. Went to use my insurance and they say I am inactive. Pay my insurance premiums every month on time. We get coverage through our blue cross blue shield insurance. BCBS says we are active with no interruptions, they sent info to eyemed. Eyemed won't update their records for 5 business days, while I have a visit scheduled in 3 days.

I really like that EyeMed and LensCrafters have your data on file and easily accessible. They can look back and your history and quickly apply your vision glasses benefits.

We've loved working with EyeMed for my family and their glasses/contacts needs. Once we find a location to go get new glasses and contacts, we've successfully and easily processed claims with EyeMed.

EyeMed is a great vision insurance plan. When anything is out of network, it is easy to apply and get reimbursed quickly.

My company recently switched to EyeMed and the transition was seamless. They provide an easy way to get reimbursed after your eye exam visits.

I had EyeMed insurance for years while my husband was a student. It was affordable and they did great.

My son went off my insurance but was still covered under EyeMed so it only cost $5 for routine checkup.

I haven't used it but I have used it for my kids. They are easy to deal with. Haven't had any issues with them.

Good coverage. Paid for a lot of what I needed for contacts and glasses. Responsive in paying for the claim.
