The Good

  • No subscription
  • Perks and rewards
  • Rent or purchase

No Subscriptions

Fandango Now offers a streaming movie and TV service with no subscription. Customers simply watch what they want when they want. Users may also purchase a Fandango gift card that may be used towards movie tickets or the streaming service.

Large Movie and TV Library

There is over 6,500 movies and TV shows available to watch through Fandango Now. Some movies have bonus content, which might include director's commentary.  Many are fresh out of theatres and are cheaper to stream rather than purchasing movies on DVD and Blu-ray. The streaming service is simple to use with smart TVs or the Fandango app.

Rent or Own

Customers can rent or purchase movies and TV episodes through Fandango Now.

Reward Points

With Fandango VIP, Fandango Now allows customers to earn reward points when renting or buying movies and TV episodes. Fandango VIP members unlock a reward for every 600 points earned. Members can get movie tickets to theatres, credit to stream on Fandango Now with the mobile app, or FanShop movie gear.

Fandango Now has many great features to their new services. Not only do customers not pay a monthly subscription, but their rental and purchase prices are reasonable and consistent with the industry. In addition, Fandango Now's selection of movies and TV episodes is extremely large for how new their services are.  Customers can choose from over 6,500 movies and TV shows.

The Bad

  • No unlimited streaming options
  • Not as many device options
  • No parental controls

No Unlimited Streaming

Because FandangoNow doesn't offer a subscription-based streaming TV package, customers have to rent or purchase every movie or TV episode they want to watch.  They don't have unlimited access to a large library like Netflix or Amazon Prime.

Not as Many Streaming Device Options

FandangoNow doesn't stream on as many devices as some of its competitors.  They don't support the Apple TV, XBox, PlayStation or PlayStation Vue, etc.  Fandango Now does run on all web browsers and as a mobile app, but not many streaming devices.

UltraViolet Account

Customers have to create an UltraViolet account and link it with their Fandango Now account in order to access and watch movies from the cloud.

No Parental Controls

FandangoNow does not have parental controls for their customers to use for movie and TV purchase and rentals. Overall, FandangoNow has a few drawbacks customers should be aware of before they start purchasing and renting movies and TV episodes.  The main concern is that Fandango Now is not available on a large variety of streaming devices.  If you stream movies and TV through an Apple TV, XBox, or Playstation you are out of luck for now.

gavel

The Bottom Line

FandangoNow is a great new on-demand video streaming service option, providing customers with the ability to earn reward points through movie and TV purchase and rentals.  Reward points can then be redeemed for a percentage off the customer's next purchase.  In addition, FandangoNow has a very large library and selection for customers to choose from, with over 6,500 movies and TV episodes. However, FandangoNow is limited in their streaming services due to the lack of devices customers can stream on.  FandangoNow works on Samsung, Vizio, and LQ smart TVs 2011 and older, also Roku and Chromecast.  But it doesn't work on the Apple TV, XBox, or Playstation.  And customers have to create an UltraViolet and link it with their FandangoNow account in order to access and watch purchased and rented movies and TV episodes. Overall, Fandango Now is a great service for people not wanting a subscription-based streaming tv service and who have a Roku, Chromecast, or Smart TV.

They don't store gift card information, they DO store your credit card information. So if you watch a movie using a gift card, but then throw the card away assuming (fairly, since every other retailers does this) that your gift card will be stored on their service, you'll be out whatever the gift card balance was. So now I'll be terminating our account with Fandango and not using their service for any reason, as well as telling the PTO at the leadership level not to gift Fandango cards to teachers because of this crap policy. Terrible policy, especially considering how low their marginal cost must be to deliver content and/or save gift card information.

Literally the worst, most incompetent company I have ever tried to buy anything from. I pre-ordered a movie with a promo and since that was months ago, my credit card was replaced due to issues with the card and Fandangonow refuses to honor my order saying the promo is expired now. I asked them to re-trigger the transaction now that I have updated my credit card and they state they do not have the ability to perform that. I work in IT and find it hard to believe that they would be setup in a platform where they cannot re-trigger transactions as it is not uncommon for credit card processing companies to have an outage.

Do not use!!! Stick with Netflix, Amazon or Hulu. Fandango is a complete scam. They have been advertising 20% off all movies for 30 days thru Jan 31, 2020, once you have signed up and purchased one movie. The discount code is emailed to you. BUT IT WILL NEVER ARRIVE. Called Customer Service and they cannot do anything, oddly. "CORPORATE" sends the codes. All they can do is escalate to have corporate email the code in 3-5 business days. Its been 5 days and still NO CODE. Here's my survey response to their CORPORATE: I have signed up and purchased my first movie. I have been waiting for the 20% discount code since Jan 5th and have received no emails with the code. But I continue to get the marketing emails for this discount. I have chatted 3 times with your call center and they all say they cannot help and Corporate will respond in 3-5 days. What is the purpose of the customer service. What kind of business has corporate dole out the codes to make the sales? So stupid and unethical!! Is this really a code? At this point you made what $12 for me to purchase the 1st movie? Was that worth it? I will be writing a negative review on your company.

Thank you to the other reviewer I agree. Because we just experienced this same ordeal. The 1 movie rented could not stream well. I have great internet so that isnt the case. We stopped the movie and went to Netflix. Thanks allot Verizon up for the stupid reward. A joke of a company. I spent over an hour on the phone waiting for customer service because i had an issue. Thebonly reason i even rented a movie from this outfit is that verizon up rewards are so pathetic nowadays i had no other choice. It was either a movie from this joke of a company or a $3 gift certificate to panera bread. What a choice!

I'm a Discover customer and purchased a new Roku Ultra device for my home. I got a free FandangoNow promo for one free movie. However it expired just recently and I chatted with FandagoNow to discuss this that I had missed the expiration date just recently. They where Rude, and flat out unwilling to help me. All they could do is a Nasty kind of way to cut and paste The Terms and said it was my fault and treated me poorly and said there is "Nothing" they could or would do for me and brushed me off and said it was my problem. although this is not Discovers fault by any means and I've been nothing but pleased with Discover. I wanted to let you know how poorly I was treated and it wasn't very "Discover like" in dealing with them. I never did get to use my Free Discover FandangoNow Promo. And FandangoNOw customer service is poor. giving excuses blaming there system for there flexibility. I will NEVER buy or use there service and keep using RedBox. at least they know how to treat a customer.

Holy cow! was a member for ONE HOUR and I already had 2 hrs of problems with customer service! NO ONE picks up their phone, automated number will call U back in cue and then no one is there (3X) - Decided to live chat with agent and requested my account be closed immediately. He said "Sorry to hear that" and then i received an email stating that MY ACCOUNT HAD BEEN SUSPENDED! (Haa) - Junk emails being sent by the dozen, NO WHERE to unsubscribe from the,. Key words on their website will NOT bring up the words "Close account" or "Unsubscribe"....ANYWHERE! Foremost issue i had was that I linked my Ultraviolet library with these guys on digital content already paid for, and the site was trying to CHARGE ME for my own pre-paid content! (?????) After reading the reviews here - I didn't hesitate to close this goofy debacle of a service. Rep KEPT telling me he couldn't unsubscribe me from emails, and to look at the foot of them for the unsubscribe link.... which there ARE none! FCC needs to "Handle" these guys and quick!!

If I could give them zero stars I would. I purchased a move that never showed on my desktop, but I was charged. So I called them and they gave me a movie credit. This credit had an expiration date. The date was 10/16. When I went to use it, on the 16th, it said it expired. I called and they said the coupons expire the day before the date listed. I was shocked and had "corporate" look into it and they said, "Yup it expired the 15th." After I explained that it stated the 16th, they said the expire a day before and I lose my money. Second rate company, second-rate customer service. Go amazon prime all the way.

Recently purchased a Roku Smart TV and have a pretty extensive digital library on multiple linked apps (VUDU, UV, Movies Anywhere, iTunes, Amazon, Google Play and FandangoNOW). I've made purchases on FandangoNOW prior to purchasing the Roku Smart TV, so I thought it was going to be easy to log into my existing account. WRONG. First, tried to log into my existing account after setting up other apps that work seamlessly. Get a message back that essentially says my password is incorrect. Enter a password sent by FandangoNOW. Check my email, nothing. I go to the extent of actually resetting my password manually online, then attempting this again. Still doesn't work. Tried for a few more days since I found something online saying to wait 3 days before trying to connect to an existing account. Did that, as well as on day 4, 5, 6, 7 and so on. Finally, I contact customer support via email. I get a response within 48 - 72 hours, asking me to respond with the serial number of my Smart TV and Device ID. And to do so in a particular area: [===> Please enter your reply below this line <===] [===> Please enter your reply above this line <===] So, I do. Email gets bounced back with: "Your reply did not process correctly. Please reply to this message and enter the text between the specified lines. Your message has been attached. " I tried different variations like shortening or lengthening the message, each and every time it bounces back. Is this ridiculous? So then rather than wait on hold with a phone call, I attempt chat. Chatted with someone there, thinking it would be easy to get them the serial number and device ID to update my incident. The person takes down the info, then informs me it would be best for me to "create a new account" and then my existing movies can be "transferred over." That seemed like a dumb suggestion to me. Why would a create a new account that I can't seem to make unless I make a purchase from my Smart TV, then afterwards link it to my pre-existing account? Ridiculous.

Just recently joined Fandango's VIP system and got a $6 reward. I thought I still had time to claim my reward but it expired after 14 days. I think this is total craziness. I have other reward programs and non of them expire this fast, especially when I am being told to use my $6 on a movie that I do not want to see or the schedule hasn't been updated for me to pay for a future showing. I called Fandango and they basically said sorry, nothing we can do. They just started this new program in April and said 14 days is ample time to use the $6 reward and they wouldn't be doing anything to help me out. Well Fandango, I guess you just lost a customer and I will be spending my money else where.

I would give this zero stars if that were an option. As a new customer, I rented 3 movies and should have had 30 days to start watching them. When I got home from work a few hours later, there was nothing in my library. At the time that I was trying to watch the movies, customer service wasn't open. I waited and contacted customer service later. The only option readily presented is to call. When I called, there was the ridiculous menu of options and a very long wait time for a call. At the bottom of the FAQ page, there is link to click if you have more questions. This link will take you to a page where can email customer support with a 72 hour response time or a live chat option. I used the live chat option and was told that a sitewide update deleted people's libraries. I asked when it would be resolved and was told that there was no ETA. I requested a refund and was told to contact support. I replied that I thought this was support. The answer was that yes it was support but my request would have to be escalated. If the representative escalated it, I would have to wait 5 business days for a response. Then he asked if I had any other questions. As I was typing my response, he snarkily wrote that he would have to end the chat session if I didn't respond. During our chat session, I had waited several minutes for a response from him. I typed Hello? into the chat box a few times during the session because he was taking a long time to respond and his status was listening, not that he was typing.

Absolutely the worst streaming service EVER. Don't waste your time. I have tried redeeming codes for free movies and they NEVER work. Tonight, I tried using a Coke Rewards code. I got the discount and then the movie wouldn't start because it said that I didn't have a credit card on file, which I DO. After I tried logging on/off several times, the only way I could watch the movie is if I PAID for it, which I wasn't going to do. I tried to use their Live Chat, but that was miserable as well. Waited several minutes just to get someone. I suspect that they only have one person working. When I finally got someone, I explained my problem and they insisted that I try and redeem my code again. I told them that I "knew" that the platform would not give me another free movie if it had been redeemed. Sure enough, the code came up invalid. Meanwhile I had been disconnected, so I had to Live Chat again. After waiting another half hour to get connected, I gave up and sent an e-mail. Probably won't result in anything, but we'll see. I am going to contact COKE and Safeway to let them know they are doing their customers a disservice by offering these free codes. Now I know why I have never used these in the past. Way too much trouble to get NOTHING in return.

Fandango Now is such a waste of time, their customer service is complete crap and the whole point of using the service is convenience which it completely lacks! Error after error. Was given a gift card for my kid for his bday and literally spent hours of my time with customer service unable to fix the issue e were having. Rude and unhelpful! I was literally told a supervisor was on lunch and could not place an outgoing call and I would have to call back in 30 minutes if I wanted to speak with them and this was after waiting 35 minutes for this call to even be answered. Also that they only way to remedy the issue was to escalate it to claims and it would be addressed in 7-10 business days. So much for watching a movie with the kids right now if we have to wait over a week to even get the issue fixed! UGH!

I rented a movie two days ago from FandangoNow. I received an "error" message after purchasing that stated I may have issues watching the movie I had rented (and was promptly charged for) and to contact customer service if I had any problems. The movie did not show up for me to watch and, per the directions, I called customer service. It was a Saturday evening and I waited for several minutes on hold and decided to hang up and give it a try tomorrow. In the meantime, I attempted to link my FandangoNow account to Ultraviolet, thinking this may be a problem. It seemed this was now a necessary thing to do to watch/stream movies. I was never sent a link to my email account to sign-up for Ultraviolet (and I checked my spam and junk folders) even though it was stated that this was the key to the next step. Yesterday, I decided to call customer service again about this and after waiting on hold for several minutes, was prompted to have a customer service agent call me back and have my "spot" held in line. I opted to do this and did not hear back from anyone. I understand that errors happen, but I'm pretty bummed that I was notified there was an error with my rental AFTER I purchased the movie (and was charged) and had no success with getting the problem resolved. I'll be deactivating my FandangoNow account. I hope that the errors are fixed (both with renting movies and customer service availability) so that others don't have a negative experience.

I had an MGO account that worked fine with my Roku box. Fandangonow will not connect to my library on Roku. I spent 30 minutes on hold for Support and then another 30 minutes troubleshooting with no resolution. So I have rented movies and cannot watch them on our TV. Fandangonow prompted/forced me to sign up for this worthless Ultraviolet account and this seems to be what is not linking to Roku. Way to go Fandangonow! Take something something that works (Mgo) and make it unnecessarily complicated (Ultraviolet), totally non functional (cannot watch rented movies), and then waste my morning on useless technical support (still cannot watch rented movies).

As a vudu user I started to use FandangoNow to buy some movies because of a sale which if it is ultraviolet it will transfer to vudu so this week 4-14-2017 I received a email from fandango for a 20 percent of any movie code did not work so I called to see what was wrong waited for 35 minutes finally spoke to a rep which was very rude she told me code will work tomorrow 4-15-2017 ok maybe a weekend sale so I tryed to use 20 percent again did not work so again called Another 35 minutes so spoke to another rep this time she said they are having problems with code and someone will contact me in 24/ 48 hours so I said l wasted over 1 hour on the phone for them to tell me give them 24/48 hours now If that was vudu they would have just given me a code that worked or a credit but that's vudu. So really not complaining but just wanted everyone to know that FandangoNow does not care about there customers and I will never buy another movie or a movie ticket again from them very bad customer service and rude reps

1St thing 1st , it keeps charging your account over and over on its own for exact same purchased item, i purchased some shows that I likept to have it on my PC n hard drive so I can have access to it when ever I want without any Internet, unfortunately the download load file sucks , you won't be able to see it else where or with any other devices , it's like a pdf file , when I try to contact them , it took 83 min for them.to answear the phone , then they told me that the only way to see it is with the APP, unfortunately I don't like to use any apps and I like to have all my media in the same library, specially what I've paid for , FANDANGO IS A SCAM ARTISTS JUST LIKE T-MOBILE OR T-REX ILE,,, Unfortunately gotta charge back the fees back to my Amex

The service isn't bad, but if something happens your screwed!!! My account has credits, their system carded my account twice for the same rental, it would've charged my credit card if I didn't have credits left from a Samsung offer. They refuse to fix it and credit me back. The Customer Service is HORRIBLE!! This is the canned response I get every time I contact them: "Dear Abby, Thank you for your email and we apologize for any inconvenience caused by our delay in responding to your question. Recently we have experienced a significantly higher call volume than usual. Due to this tremendous increase in customer contacts we have been unable to get to your email sooner. Please let us know if you still need our assistance with this situation or anything related. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you." If I still need assistance?! They didn't help me the 1st time, or the 2nd, or 3rd.. and now 4th time.I even called she said it had to be escalated and she would open a ticket (mind you waiting for someone to answer takes at least 30minutes minimum. Have fun with them, they need to get it together.

I had a $50 coupon code for MGo that I got from purchasing a Samsung smart TV. I put it in my account in January and it showed $50 credit. I rented one movie at $2.99 and my receipt showed a credit balance of $47.01. All was good. Next time I wanted to rent a movie I tried again. It wouldn't let me rent unless I put in credit card info and no longer showed a credit balance. I emailed customer service. Four days later I got a reply back that basically said "we have too many requests to process, email again if you are still having issues". I did. Another week goes by without a response. I called. Was on hold for ten minutes. The guy that answered said my coupon expired Feb 15. His supervisor said the same thing. No where did it tell me that my credit would expire that soon after placing it in my account. They didn't care. The supervisor said he would escalate my complaint and I'd get a confirmation email in 3-5 minutes. That was a lie. An hour later I still don't have that confirmation and nothing has been resolved. The guy just said that to get me off the phone. Don't use this company, they take your money and don't care.

I also rented a movie through my Roku. Was charged after setting up my account then got a message that playback was unavailable because my account was connected to some other device? Makes no sense. Called customer service and hold time was 27 minutes. After I doggedly sat through that - for a $5.99 purchase mind you - someone picks up and immediately hangs up on me. Email customer service tells you to allow 3 days for a response. Rental period is 48 hours, so... pretty much useless if you have X amount of time to watch a movie and the service won't work. But I emailed and told them exactly what happened. 3 days later they respond simply asking if I still need help. Uhhh.... refund my money? I spent enough of my life on this stupid issue I went to my credit card and disputed the charge. I figure if enough people do this, credit card companies will stop processing transactions for them, right?

We tried to rent Sully tonight however after charging my card the movie would not play. Called customer service, in which spent 45 minutes on hold just to talk to someone. In that time I was able to run to Walmart and just buy the movie and come home to start watching it, all before I got to speak to someone. As I am typing this I am still waiting on hold for a refund as they wanted proof that we went and purchased the movie from Walmart, as they have to send it to corporate to decide if I will get a refund for their service not working! Nice going FandangoNow you rate AWESOME at failing to provide good customer service.

Was forced to migrate to FandangoNow from my Flixster account when they bought/ merged them this year. The app for the Roku and the mobile app are both pretty terrible. The integration with the UltraViolet library is shoddy and incomplete. They have no idea how to handle TV shows, so entering a TV show into your library will separate all the episodes and jumble them up (unlabelled) throughout your library. I've held off on this review, because I think there should be a grace period while they migrate, but it's been months now, and they bought two great, fully-finctioning services (M-Go and Flixter), had the working technology handed to them, and yet somehow created the most glitchy, clunky, obnoxious streaming app I've ever used. I want Fandango Now to be good (I love Fandango and have used their service for over a decade) but as it stands, this branch of their company is just awful.

I am a T-Mobile Tuesdays member and I never used Fandango Now before then. Well, I was able to use a code 1 time to get $5 off a movie rental. When I tried to use it for the next week, I got an error message and then it said I had already redeemed my code when I hadn't. I called Fandango Now and their recording said that the wait time to speak to a representative was 28 minutes. I put the phone on speaker and waited the whole 28 minutes only to get another recording stating that their offices were closed. I was absolutely furious. I called them the next morning and the person on the phone didn't know what she was doing. She kept giving me wrong information stating that I had to have the same email address with T-Mobile as Fandango Now which wasn't true because I had used the code once before with no issue. So that was a blatant lie she just said to get me off the phone. She kept giving me wrong information until she just said I would need to call T-Mobile. Nothing for my waste of time. Just send me on my way. What a disappointing experience.

Absolutely horrible, like many other people reviewing this service I have T-Mobile Tuesdays, I have yet to be able to view movie on Fandango, although it's been at least 2 months, and each time I have tried to redeem the code or whatever does it says the code is invalid, or even more amusing, is that the same email address that they try to get you to sign up your credit card with comment is invalid. Absolutely Gastly! 0 customer service as far as I can tell, including with T-Mobile itself, as I was on the phone with a representative for 45 minutes while she tried to straighten it out with Fandango. If the sponsor can't work it out, however that is the consumer supposed to? I give it a zero start if I could.

I decided to try FandangoNow because of a TMobile Tuesday free movie. In the spirit of Halloween, we opted to rent the Conjuring 2. Go to rent it, to find out the "free" really meant you receive a $5 credit, and the movie rental itself was $5.99. Which, was whatever - it's $0.99 to rent in the convenience of your home, so we went ahead and rented the movie. At first we attempted to watch it through the web browser on our Xbox One, since there is not an app as of this time for Xbox or Playstation. The movie didn't do anything. So, we attempted to watch it on a computer thinking maybe there was something about the web browser on the Xbox. Loading it on the computer took forever; it buffered for at least a half hour before we started watching the movie. Finally, we were watching the movie, and it seemed to be working all right, until about a half hour in, when it started buffering again and refused to start up again. We left it to buffer for another hour or so, and it still would no longer play. So we gave up. Now, when we originally rented it, the site told us we had 29 days to watch the rental. Once you start watching, that drops to 24 hours. Between our schedules and the rate the movie buffered, there was no way we would be able to finish it within that 24 hours. So I emailed FandangoNow Customer Support requesting an extension of the rental. I received a response saying to allow 24hrs for a response. It has now been well beyond that and I still have not heard anything. We have since rented the movie through Redbox (paying twice to watch this movie!) It was just a disappointing experience all around. Great concept, terrible execution.

Have been a loyal customer of FandangoNow and built up points to use towards new movies. Attempted to utilize these points towards the promised discounts on movies purchased online, but frequently encountered a "server error" against my purchase which would persist for my chosen titles. I spent multiple afternoons on hold waiting to get in touch with customer service, and multiple times, after waiting for more than 20 minutes, was disconnected from their hold service because "no agents are available to take your call, please try again later." When finally getting a representative on the line, they asked me to change browsers, change computers, change servers, change credit cards, etc. Anything that wasn't on their end. When customer representatives promised to call back to resolve the issue, they failed to recognize me until I repeated the whole customer service hold pattern again and requested them by name. I finally told them that I had to purchase a movie from Vudu (a competitor) in order to have it ready for a "movie night" with friends. Their response was simply "we are glad we could resolve this issue for you." I told them they had not, and they responded with the similarly scripted, "we look forward to assisting you with future FandangoNow transactions." I was completely ignored, and I have wasted more than enough time and money on this dysfunctional company and website and its completely uncaring and incapable customer service.

FandangoNow not linking to Flixter Video or UV, so I can't watch movies I've purchased and redeemed into "the cloud." Difficult website to navigate, not intuitive at all. Called customer service who really didn't have much sympathy or inter-personal skills. Wasn't friendly at all. I'm not going to use FNow at all, and sign-up with Vudu to watch my movies from the cloud. So upset that Flixster Video (on Roku) is going away. Oh, and the FNow Roku channel app absolutely sucks. Oh, and the customer unservice guy was like "they're still working or developing the integration." Fine... but don't mess with current accounts until the integration has been developed into a finished product. What a disaster for Fandango.

You have to jump through hoops to initiate app. I wish they would just state the the truth. Something accurate like,"In about 10 minutes.... A few steps later.... Anyway, I managed. I like to read reviews. A few would be nice but it's not an option. When I finally selected a movie and rented it, the screen immediately stated "Playback Error". I contacted BOTH email addresses for help. I sent 2 emails. Further research on google provided a customer service number! I wonder why they just didn't have that show as a point of contact?!?! I called. My wait time was quoted to be 7 minutes. And then a recording told me they could not speak with me please leave a voicemail. 1.5 hrs later they have everything they need and how to charge me. And I'm eating my cold pizza intended to go with my movie. Dreadful customer service.

Terrible. I tried renting a movie but it would not play. They charged me for it but when I asked for a refund they said I had no purchase history. I asked for credit, they said they had no record of me buying anything. I sent them a copy of my bank statement showing the charge but they still wouldn't credit me. Terrible customer service. I will never use them again.

I rented Trolls World tour on 4/11/2020 and the app wouldn't allow me to watch the movie for at least 10 minutes. I logged out and back in numerous times before it allowed the movie to play. Now, just three days later and the rental doesn't even show up in my library list. On top of that, I rented another movie that is also not showing up in the library. I am not paying more money to watch movies that I've already paid for. This app is horrible!! !

We preordered Trolls World Tour for $20 a few days ago to watch the world premiere tonight with kids. They have been looking forward to the movie all day just to find out the movie would not play. Worse yet, we reloaded the FandangoNow app on our TV to see if would help but after it launched, the movie wasn’t available. The app wanted to charge us another $20! This is unacceptable. Really FandangoNow? Get it together!

I dont know if fandangonow reduced the bandwith on there streaming service but I can not get imax enhanced movies anymore. The only movies I've purchased using this streaming service were in IMAX enhanced. That section is no longer available. Those movies were downsized to 4k HDR DD+. Extremely frustrating. Fandango needs to fix this for there high end customers.

My experience has been all negative. I set up an account and rented a movie on one device, went to watch it on another device, was charged again for the same movie, and the movie would not stream on the second device no matter how many times I restarted and changed my settings. Spent a half hour with the help desk who referred me to corporate who informed me that I would get no reimbursement for the $40 ($20 x 2) rental I hadn't been able to watch. Discovered the same movie was available on Amazon prime and that's what I'm using from here on in. No more Fandangonow.

Every time I use FandangoNow the movies I buy/rent buffer or skip like crazy. I have crazy fast internet currently 110mbpsDL/12mbpsUL with no other bandwith being used, and no problems on ANY OTHER STREAMING APP but FandangoNow. Also when you "buy" a movie you don't own the movie...you are leasing the movie. Once Fandango takes it off their app it is gone from your library. This company is a joke!

What a joke of a company.

Rented three movies to watch from FandangoNow on Roku. Two of them played flawlessly but one would not; acting as if it were continually buffering. I contacted FandangoNow web chat and they had me reboot the roku, with no success. They then said that they would turn the issue over to troubleshooting and I would hear back from them. It has been 5 days and radio silence. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of these guys.

Our HD TV show purchase worked fairly well for a couple weeks, but for the past week every time we try to watch we are constantly having to restart the episode, with the stop point not accurately saved, which means fast forwarding over and over. For the record, we have a fast Internet connection on which Prime and Netflix stream just fine. FandangoNow is just too annoying. We'll not be purchasing any more shows on this service.

When it works it is a 5. If, if you have any issue with playback or a rental that did not go through or need any customer support you are out of luck. I did designed support for HP customers, Nike.com and Mercedes Benz USA, these guys are the worst. No chat option, the support page says chat but after 1 hour I was told in chat that it was not for Fandango now, call their phone number. Did that yesterday, never got a callback. Email, not for Fandango now. I call my credit card company to get the charge removed. I will never rent or buy content from these clowns again.

Over a week ago the FandangoNow app on my Roku stopped working. Every time I try to play the movie I rented it shuts down my Roku. When I called the company they said that they were aware of the issue because other people had it too. They said they would email me when the issue was resolved and 8 days later it still hasn’t been fixed, they haven’t emailed me and the app on my tablet won’t even stream the movie. I guess my friends’ money was wasted because I received a gift of a gift card and won’t be able to use it. What a shame! Don’t waste your $!!!

Rented Star Wars the Force Awakens on 6/8/18. Got 57min into a 1hr 27min movie and Fandango cuts me off. No way to re-start movie. No way to cancel my account. I rented rhis movie for $3.99 and got ripped off. You can be sure that Fandango will never see the $3.99. I will be telling my bank to REJECT the transaction and all future transactions from Fandango.

Purchased UHD movie through Fandango TVplus. Movie wouldn't play and when I called them they said they no longer support 4K movies. They told me to call Samsung who told me to call Fandango. Was given runaround and finally got e-mail but have not received any response. I won't get my 20 bucks back and their customer service said it was a big issue. Totally horrible experience!

We were so looking forward to sharing Mary Poppins with our children tonight. Another service is doing a buy only option so we were happy FandangoNOW had a rental available. We have the same email address for our ROKU TV and the Fandango account, but like others were denied playback. We're watching something else and will have to deal with trying to retrieve our $2.99. Ugh, what a waste of time.

Completely agree with all reviewers here. FandangoNow is a mess. NO customer support, repeated bad streaming experiences (no audio on Dunkirk?). After waiting on the phone for a refund—for 45 minutes—I gave up. Online chat same thing (done concurrently). Even email to them results in this: Address not found Your message wasn't delivered to help@fandangonow.com because the address couldn't be found, or is unable to receive mail. The email account that you tried to reach is disabled. Learn more at https://support.google.com/mail/?p=DisabledUser That says it all.

Worst service on the planet! Rented a movie on my Roku and was charged for it. Then got a “Playback Failed” msg saying call FandangoNow. 45 minutes later spoke to a very nice rep who fixed the problem, refunded my payment and gave me a free movie. Nice rep did all that she could but the service still sucks and the 45 minute hold was beyond irritating and unacceptable. Cancelling FandangoNow. Good riddance!

Terrible time with renting movies. They say you have 30 days to view a movie rented, but I have rented 4 movies that were kicked out of my account (some as early as 15 days early) before I viewed them. When I contact customer no support, they eventually reviewed my complaint (After emailing back and forth with them for 30 days) to tell me I was not eligible for a refund or credit, because it had been over 30 days. Terrible, terrible company. Stick with VUDU or Amazon. They don't cheat their customers and have better customer service.

Fandango now sucks. Movies stop playing and you have to either start from the beginning or try multiple times to get it to play. Amazon and Netflix never have problems but I can always count on connection issues with Fandango! I wish Amazon and Netflix offerred the same movies!! Like an idiot I continue to use Fandango....hoping issues will be resolved....so far they have not!

We recently rented Robin Hood, starring Russell Crowe, on Fandango. It's the first time we've rented or purchased anything thru their service. It will also be the last. The movie selected made no mention of it being an abbreviated version yet a number of key scenes had been cut. I've viewed the theatrical release and the director's cut and this version was cut down even from the theatrical release. We've never encountered this issue on Amazon. I won't be renting or purchasing anything more from Fandango until I can be certain of the product I'm getting.

got charged for a movie that didnt play. invoice directed support questions with a link. I emailed support they say email doesnt handle refunds, call this number. called the number, asked several questions then said, oh sorry wrong phone number you need this number but I can transfer you. transferred.....24 min hold then they dropped my call. they are going to make it very hard to get that 3 bucks. most would give up, and they win. Ill continue and cancel their Sh*t service today.

F u fandangonow. Your system does not work!! It never saves our billing info and your service has ruined so many treasured movie nights. After about an hour of searching for the right movie, the purchase becomes denied due to yet another error code. I dont feel like being on your customer service line for another hour for every f n movie again and again. Good luck trying to retain customers. You're only good for the theater showing times at best.

So i returned back day 3 to finish my movie to be surprised that movie is not in my library. So spoke to customer care looks like they take it out of your library within 2 days you start watching. I was forced to convert to Fandango now but purchased a movie before the conversion took place. Tried to convert but then it said I had to call. I didn't watch the movie nor "press play" because the conversion needed to happen in order to. Fast forward a few days later, I contacted their customer service department (horrific) they (Charles) disconnected me! So unprofessional and I was nice! And they wouldn't give me credit for the non-watched movie even when it was required for me to CALL before CONVERTING to watch it! No words. Just simply cancelling account.
