Lousy customer service; were totally misled; long after the fact, told us they no longer affiliated with our energy supplier. we turned the service off and locked their meter. We are @ the point of talking to our elected officials &/or an attorney. We have said we would like their panels removed & replace our roof. They evidently took our tax credit. They keep saying they will call us back. Basically, they send us bills. Last contract we got was never signed. They never credited us with extra power generated through our local electrical supplier. I don't know what their standing with the BBB, but we rate them with a great big goose egg.

I signed up for solar farm sharing service in Dec 2015 with the promise to have it kick in March 2016. It is now Oct and had I not called them I would not have found out that they haven't even started construction on the farms yet and are slated to start by end of the year. They have not contacted whatsoever to notify me of status throughout this ordeal. Needles to say I'm in the process of cancelling. Once they get you to sign on the dotted line be prepared to not hear from them again...until you want to cancel, only them will they start to provide customer service...and I use that term loosely.

NRG representative visited my home and talked me into the community solar program, shame on me for letting them see "if" I qualify for the program and I did immediately. promising me a low price (under half my electric bill) I agreed to let them send me more information. next thing I know I am in a 20 year contract with them. There is a 3 day cancellation clause in the contract which I executed but I cannot get a hold of any one to actually know that I received it. I did talk with the rep who visited me and he says don't worry I never submitted you paperwork. I called the main number for NRG both of them on their website and they are both disconnected. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB.

The customer service at this company is absolutely horrendous! Every time we call them it is so difficult to get a person to speak with. We are always waiting on a call back from this company and it takes forever for them to actually call us back. At times we've had to call again days later only to be told we'll be given a call back. I WOULD NOT recommend this company to anyone! I have been trying to get out of this contract because there are things I am finding out now that the initial sales person did not tell me. For a while I was trying to contact him and could never get him. It took a few months to find out that he no longer worked there. This company only cares about getting your money. You are better off just trying to be energy conscious than getting solar panels from them!

I entered into this contract with NRG on Nov 4 2015 over ten months ago. They put up my Solar Panels Feb 2016, it is now 7 months later, and they tell me my Attick has to be fortified to prevent any damage to my roof because of solar panels. I said shouldn't this have been done before the panels were installed, they said yes. in the past 10 months there have been 9 techs up in my attick not one person said I needed any fortifying of my roof. two contractors that came to my house either went out of business or were let go by NRG, after which everything started over, check the electrical box, check the Attick etc. They put up the outside meters in July, and still do not have service. That's why I give this solar company the worst ratting I was able to.

So Cal, CA From the on-set of the request for quote and service, it was a horrible experience of false statements and delayed processing and misinformation from Customer Service Reps, Wanna-Be Manager/Supervisors, Managers and Sales People, who are so unprofessional and do not return calls or follow up with the customer to advise of the status of investigation. This is the most horrible worst customer service team I have encountered. After going through all these and promises of getting things right, I finally had my service turned on since 09/19/2015. Then came my billing, which was totally wrong and I have been trying to correct since 10/01/2015 and still no help from no body with NRG Home Solar. NRG Home Solar is denied that they do not have a record of the quote that was provided before I accepted to move forward with the Service which is the most ridiculous statement I have ever heard regarding a Service with a 20 year lease contract.

We went through installation and we are 6 months into the process still waiting on the energy company to hook us up. The real issue we have is that someone involved in the installation or final inspection stepped on and broke the drain line on our AC unit in our attic. When the weather warmed up we turned it on. It flooded our ceiling in our living room. We called NRG Home Solar 4 times and they never even called back. I had to foot all the expenses for repairs out of my pocket. VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! It's only the beginning.

My system was installed by Astrum Solar (AKA Direct Energy) after 3 fires and a roof leek NRG stepped in since the lease is under them. NRG sent their crews out repair and rewire the system and things went down hill real fast. When they got on site I told the foreman that I would be watching everything they do and that I'm a electrician myself. After watching pull wires over 50' by himself and the helper watching him. Any electrician would agree 100% with me on that one. Then the helper tries and uses a 10' piece of pipe to snake a wire in my ceiling and ends up popping the screw out of the Sheetrock. Yes I have pictures and video of there work. As of now the system is off and have been fighting with NRG since I told them to leave. More to come. Lol

Lack of knowledge, lack of communication and lack of customer service. Get ready to project manage yourself. They forget about you and appear to not want to communicate to let you know what to expect. Its been four months, they only have moved on things when I have called.Mostly I haven't gotten a call back. execpt emails from call from a rep that is rude. I discovered they switched the panel that were in my contract . the rep said I am not getting that brand and I was only under an impression I would get the ones in my contract. the they want me to get are back order on top of it. The panels are still not in and I am loosing hope. Augh... so much time and disappointment with this firm.

I live on Long Island and went with NRG because to lease the panels, at the time, they gave the best rate and it was no money down. The panels were installed Dec of 2014, were not turned on until July of 2015 (paperwork, inspections, town, I was told that was the holdup...) I never received a BILL to start paying for the panels (even though I called at least 6 times and was told it won't be a lump sum) until October of 2015 and it was a LUMP SUM OF ALL THE MONTHS I MISSED...we worked that out...there was 'electrical damage' done to wires - still in dispute- the brackets on the panels were PUT ON WRONG and a year later (Dec 2015) had to be changed...I have NOT received any documentation, emails, paperwork for tax puposes..I lost count of the phone calls and 'managers' I spoke to who 'will get back to me', who 'don't know that answer' to my questions because THEY are in NJ and I am in NY. I filed my taxes last week, and couldn't process the paperwork for the solar panels because ...well... I'm still waiting for my return phone call with the answer to 'what do I claim?'. Last week I spoke to a rep because I questioned where exactly the cost savings was...I'm in the process of comparing bills with and without panels, Summer, yes, winter, absolutely not ( and yes, I understand less sun, clouds, snow on panels-but give me a break)! TODAY I called to find out about HOW do I apply and WHEN DO I GET THIS $5,000 rebate I was promised for signing up with NRG (and by the way, the law in NY is you can get back up to $10,000 for leasing solar panels over 5 years- they are unfamiliar with other state laws)... So, After being switched to 3 different people this morning, I was told a 'manager' would get back to me... I'm still waiting for the return phone call...I told the rep to 'record' the conversation, because the amount of time I waste on the phone with this company to be told continuously by their reps: 'I don't know', is unacceptable. At this point, I want the panels removed, and I will go with a Long Island based company. I signed a 20 year lease...I want OUT of the lease, and God help me...my next call is to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH NRG...ESPECIALLY DO NOT LEASE. I cannot get a small loan on my home because of the verbiage they have in their lease contract. No lender will lend with their verbiage. The home loan company has to be first...NRG is demanding to be first.. Now we are having to get an attorney as they are holding us hostage, all 800k of our equity in our home...we cannot get a loan because NRG is not bugging on their contract and they are tying our money up for 6 years until the end of the lease. 7 loan companies said NRG contract will keep me from getting anyone to loan to me. They take days to call us or our broker back. Terrible customer service. terrible company. I plan on going on TV, consumer report, and telling my nightmare horror story with NRG to all of San Diego and California. I have an interview scheduled with the news station.. Seems the TV news hears these complaints a lot. I have also filed a complaint with FTC.....Stay tuned

I signed up with NRG at the end of August. I wasn't eligible for panels but they promised me a flat rate x 20 years plus 6 months of free electricity. So far there has been no change in my bill. I am apparently waiting for a local solar farm to be built but have been given no further details. It has been no harm, no fowl, but I am approaching 6 months of being signed with them and no changes in my electricity bill or service.

Had my system installed at the end of july 2015. During installation they guy drilled a hole into my family room through my baseboard instead of into my basement and tore apart my berber rug. The baseboard and insulation were finally fixed in october after large amounts of cold air were blowing into my house. the rug was never fixed. After months and 5 different people coming to look at it I finally got an estimate to do it myself and submitted the bill and they finally paid me the $1400 right before christmas. As for the lease before solar my average monthly electric bill was $100 over 36 months. My lease is $76.50 a month to start. So far with my lease payment, connectivity, and electric purchases my total bill has been September $120 October $111 november $102 and I just got December $150. I'M NOT HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I called my salesman and told him how much more my monthly payments are now and his answer was, "remember New York State is giving you a $5000 tax credit so your lease is actually free for the first 5 years" Also I signed up for a Marriott rewards program with NRG that after talking with the salesman I would get 5000 points and after installation I would get 25,000 points. Well I talked with the salesman in March and the 5000 points were finally credited in November. Still waiting for the final 25,000 points and I've already called 3 times about it. ***************UPDATED REVIEW***************** Update on my December 31st post. So I just got my taxes done and was looking forward to getting my $5000 New York State tax credit(to help pay for my system since it's way more expensive than I was told) Guess what you DON'T get a $5000 tax credit on the lease because you are making lease payments and because of that the way the form goes you get a partial credit based on your lease payment for the year I got a total credit for 2015 of $231. The salesman completely lied he said I'd get a majority of it for tax year 2015 and the balance in 2016. At $231 a year it will take 21 years to recoup the credit. So much for the sales pitch of getting a $5000 tax credit that will help pay for the first 5 years of the lease. Of course the salesman doesn't respond to phone calls or emails anymore. I encourage anyone in New York that has had a problem to contact the state attorney generals office they are currently investigating the sales process and the lease agreements and the claims that they are making. The attorney generals office is also investigating NRG for their handling and closing of 2 power plants in western New York so there is a track record of bad business in NY.

My installation took months, there were several system configurations changes and they tried to change the contract in mid stream after the contract was signed due to the system modification. Long story short the system went in as designed. My sales person also told me that I would only be charged by my local $7.00 per month by my local supplier to be hooked up to the grid. Well I found out that the charge was $28.00 per month. And I do not like the fact that all correspondance is done by email. And the customer service department needs help. You can never reach the correct person, your number is taken and then you sit and hope for a return call. Oh by the way I signed my contract in April of 2015 and was not installed until August of 2015. And didn't go online until September of 2015. Now I can't get online to monitor my system to see if it is producing power. Just called NRG and I am wondering how long it will take for them to get back to me and let me know what the problem is. I have to give them credit for one thing. The installation crew was very professional and respectful of my home and property. I feel that I signed a contract in good faith and if they can't provide the service as described in their contract then they are in breach of their contract and I should not be obligated to pay or honor it. I really wish that I had done more research before signing with them. Please do your home work before selecting NRG.

This by far is the one of the worst companies I have dealt with. They do not return customers phone calls or ever pick up their phone. I received my solar panels in July 2013 from Roof Diagnostics which sold to NRG. After received my latest utility bill that went up dramatically from my previous bills, I realized I wasn't producing solar since Sept. 6. I went onto the Enphase system which keeps track of the data and that shows the system is down. Enphase has ot responded to any emails. According to my contract and NRG website they are suppose to monitor solar panels 24/7. Well they don't. After several days on trying to reach a LIVE person, they directed me to CPS and said they monitor my panels and I need something called an FSD.Both NRG and CPS blame each other for the lack of monitoring. I called Tregar systems which do my solar billing and they directed me to a completely different site which also shows I am not producing solar. We followed the correct steps to make sure we were still connected, but even then, the company cannot my solar power. After contacting CPS again they now tell me they do not have to notify me that my system is down until 3 weeks. No one at either of the companies that manages my solar can give me a straight answer or confirm if I have solar or when it will be fixed. After reading the comments below, it leaves me to believe that this company is being fraudulent . Do not do business with this company

I have NRG solar panels. NRG sent me a letter saying my rates for the maintenance would never go up, this is not true. They would not return my phone calls or letters in regard to my monitor not working, I got a letter from them saying the monitor was working at 88%, I sent them a letter saying they owed me money because it was there job to see that the monitor was working and that all was working at 100% and because of the maintenance fee raise. I have 3 bills, maintenance, elec. bill and my loan on my solar equipment. I do not own my solar panels and will be paying them $47,000. for them...Going green and NRG are being fraudulent with their customers, Going green is paying penalty fees to customers. NRG should be doing this also. It was about a year before my panels were installed. It has been so disappointing from the beginning!!!

Our disappointment is growing by the day! We signed up with NRG in January 2015. The system was installed in June 2015 - the inspection went well, it was power tested and approved. Up until that time, we had good communication with the company representatives. That's where the good news ends. It is mid-September, and our system has yet to be turned on. I have made numerous calls, only to be told that the paperwork is hung up in "Corporate." Initially, we were told it would only take 4-6 weeks after installation to get all final inspections and approvals necessary to get the system turned on. NEVER did we expect it to take over 3 months (and counting...). At this point, communication is one-sided - we make the calls, no one from NRG is available (the agents who answer the customer service number say they are only an answering service), and no one from NRG returns our calls, although I repeatedly leave daytime and evening phone numbers, including cell numbers, etc. -- no return call from NRG. We are still hopeful that one day we will have solar power, but our disappointment in NRG is well founded. The next step will be to seek legal action against this very unreliable company.

Can see by reviews that I am not the only totally dissatisfied person with your company. Two weeks ago a consultant came out and made me a great offer and we started all the necessary paperwork. On Friday an appointment was made for today by your company to have an employee come and take measurements and look at my electrical box. As soon as he got out of the truck, he informed me that NRG decided one week ago not to install panels on my couragated metal roof. I was all ready to proceed with your company only to have the rug pulled out from under me. When this appointment was made on Friday you were well aware of what type of roof I had. What a waste of many hours of my time

We signed the contract in January of 2015 and were told it would be completed by spring. In spring we got a phone call and told we had to take 2 trees down, which we questioned, but complied with. Then we waited. The drawings came in and after telling them we had a generator for the house, this was not included in their drawing (so we waited) then the panels were drawn on the front of the house and we wanted them on the rear (so we waited). Finally everything was completed, we waited for the project to be started. When I called to check on the process, my husband was told they were waiting for the reimbursement check from the state of Connecticut to come in. Then a call came in and was told to get a home energy audit (which we had done on our own 4 years ago). Within an hour, they had the paperwork they needed, and we again waited. Another call was made and we were told they were waiting for the reimbursement from the state so we waited. Finally I saw in our local paper that our permit had been applied for and accepted and still the work was not done. I called again to be told that the reimbursement had come in 2 months ago and our project was slated to be started in September (9 months from the signing of our contract). My husband then called and complained and surprisingly enough an opening just happened and the work was started 2 days later. The installers were wonderful hard working men who worked away in 90 plus degree weather in and out of our attic for 2 days. Now again we wait. The panels and work have been completed and there it sits. unusable, in the sun, sitting We've called and have been told that the paperwork is hung up in Houston at their corporate office. When asked for their number, I was told that the number couldn't be given out, they could not call them and I had to search the web for it. I asked who I could speak to help voice concerns of the consumer about the delay in Houston, I was told it was the job of the person who I was speaking with (but he was not allowed to call Houston). So we wait. and wait. I've started documenting the Date, time and names of those I have spoken to. There seems to be no support for consumers in this matter. NRG has already stuck their panels on our roof, the system is not operating due to the hold up in Houston but NRG already has our a State of Connecticut reimbursement check in their bank account. From what I am told, paperwork needs to be approved by Houston, then the electrical needs to be inspected (another day off work). Next the meter needs to be installed and the system will be turned on..... When ever that will be. The bottom line is let's sell the consumer a system, apply for the state reimbursements and collect the money in our coffers and let the consumers wait....This is unacceptable. As a consumer we have no recourse. It's not like we can withhold the reimbursement until the work is completed Lesson learned For anyone that thinks this is a short process, WRONG. It looks like it will actually take at least a year to complete.

My father was called by this company yesterday. You could barely understand the sales person, as it sounded like he was from India. He also didn't sound like he knew that much about the product, only what was written on the sales sheet in front of him. Based on his conversation and the reviews here, which I sent him a link to, I'm going to alert him and have him cancel the appointment for next week. I'll explain my perspective of the scores. If the score is: 8-10: Someone from the company is posting these reviews. One of them so blatantly bad, JEFFREY, "LOVE SOLAR". Give me a break. That's a review JEFFREY? Thanks for so much insight. Just as bad is JUSTIN, aka another company fraud plant. Yeah, SO MUCH SAVINGS, and that's the extent of your review? 3-7: Not much in this zone. I suspect these reviews are from legit consumers who got sucked in hoping someday, NRG will actually come through for them. They want to remain positive about their lease agreement, but are starting to feel unsure, or ripped off at this point. 0-2 Customers who know they just got ripped off by NRG.The largest group of consumers. That pretty much says it all dive they actually till the time to make detailed reviews, while the glittering reviews are nothing more than sprinkles of glitter on crap trying to dress up a rip off.

I signed a contract 1 year ago yesterday, July 8, 2014. It was finally installed April 4. 2015. It has yet to be turned on. I have spent $700 out of pocket to make roof repairs because of the harsh winter, when the roof was satisfactory last summer when it was inspected. Today, an installation team arrived to change the inverters because they were the incorrect parts for the system was installed, a year and a day after signing the contract. I have emailed and phoned more times than I can count and get nothing but a run-around. The paper work was incorrect, the electrical inspection wasn't completed when it already had been done and approved by the town inspector, then the contract had to be amended, and now the wrong parts. There seems to be enough incompetence to go around. Stay away from NRG Home Solar. They do not meet their commitments.

Same with me, the panels took 6-7 months to get them on the roof, now after 2 months I haven't heard a word from them. I call and can't get anyone. No one will call back. It's really sad that you're can't trust anyone in this country anymore..NRG is the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. For the people who said that your panels have been installed, but not turned on like mine. How do we know that they are not working.?? Maybe NRG is collecting off them without us knowing. My switches on the side of my house are on.. JUST WONDERING.... Would they be that low..to do something like that... Why would it take so long to turn on..??? If someone could answer that...please do.

I noticed that there is a real lack of communication between NRG and myself and all the inspectors that have to be involved. I started making calls on my own just to get things going faster. I understand that they maybe overwhelmed but 7 months?

Michele Cormier — 1 starExtremely disappointing customer service! Been dealing with them for over a year so don't expect quick service. If you expect to get solar, don't get NRG. If you expect a call back, don't use NRG. If you expect a company to honor its word, don't get NRG. If you expect a company to appreciate your business, don't use NRG. If you expect a company to value your time, don't use NRG. The most frustrating experience with any company ever. The worst possible company ever! After signing a contract with NRG in October 2014 we thought we were all set to go solar. After a bad winter and several delays we still don't and will never have solar from NRG. We signed a contact with a fixed rate only to be contacted by customer relations department in May 2015 that we would need to sign a new contract or our project would be cancelled. The new contracted rate was higher than the original rate. Being told that they could not honor that rate as too much time had gone by. REALLY My first thought was, why is there a customer relations department ,and why are they contacting me. Apparently they have an overwhelming need for this department. After several phone calls and now no response we are forced to choose another company. After reading all the complaints and reports filed with the better business bureau and attorney generals office I guess we should be grateful we did not go with NRG. I think they should change their name to NFG.

I have to say that I am SO disappointed in NRG. We signed last November 2014. We had our panels installed on the roof on April 15. Now it is June 8 and haven't been turned on yet. If you read the other 0 rated reviews, you will see the problems those folks had, are the same complaints I have. Customer service is the absolute worst! We had the installer come to us and ask us if we had the paper work that needed to be filed. We had no idea what he was talking about. We had the inspectors from our town come out and ask for paperwork - again, we had no idea what they were looking for. I sent a really pissed off letter to the last person I had been in contact with. I got a reply saying someone would call. I am still waiting. I got so mad I sent an email and really blasted the company. Received an email back and I was told we were "good to go" with no further information as to next steps. Today I received two emails with "no reply" tacked on. The first one was stating our design had been approved and the second one was saying someone would call to set up an appt. to have the panels installed! They have been on the roof for nearly two months!!!!!! Stay clear of this company. You have no way of contacting a supervisor or anyone higher than an operator that answers the phone. I am beyond FURIOUS!

Don't even think about using this company. First of all, they promised we would save $50/ month, so we used them on two of our properties, hoping to save $100/ month.....NOT!!!! Turns out that it is costing us $100/month.....Total ripoff!!!! In addition, the first day of installation, they caused a power surge and blew out our stove, microwave, water heater, and 50" inch TV. They told us it had nothing to do with their work and it must have been a coincindence.....yea right. Our homes are so electrically messed up, and now customer service won't return any of our letters, email, and phone calls. The more power your solar panels produce, the more money you lose. On top of that, all the excess power you build up to help pay your electrical bills get wiped out on your anniversary date of installation, costing you more hundreds of dollars. Its UNBELIEVABLE they are getting away with this. If anyone knows of a case suit action law suit, please, please, please notify me.

NRG Home Solar cold called me to participate in a solar farm, to either buy but most likely lease as many panels in that farm as they determine my needs to be.They claim no maintenance fee, but beyond that there are many other questions I still have. They claim they can save me upto 90% of my current energy bill. At over $400 average a month, I want to know more. I don't quite understand how they get my energy derived from the leased panels to Who? and then to me? and what will this cost me a month for the privilege of leasing these panels. If anyone knows, please explain.

NRG SOLAR is one of the absolute worst companies I've ever done business with! It took me almost 3 months, many phone calls to different offices at different locations - just as many emails to resolve an issue with 3 solar panels failing within a short period of time! I was persistent and relentless. Not many homeowners would nor should have to be this persistent. Runaround, outright lies, failure to respond, refusal to acknowledge the problem were just a few issues. After confronting NRG with 3 microinverters containing chewed up wires, a photo of the squirrel in action -- they finally responded with a "critter guard". Something that should've been installed on DAY 1. In addition, the original (third party) solar install company won't due business with NRG unless they pay them upfront. The current install company also indicates difficulties. VERY AGGRAVATED with NRG!! ** RUN **, don't walk away!!

Very disappointed with this company. We signed a contract for solar with NRG and the panels were installed in November 2014. It is now March 2015 and still it is not operational. We have made numerous phone calls to NRG with all kinds of responses, including "we are awaiting the release of monies from our bank" ?Makes you wonder how solvent they are??? Another response was "they were going to send us a VISA credit card to offset our dissatisfaction caused by the delay! That never happened. They also couldn't tell me how much the mysterious credit was going to be. When we first signed with them ,they told us we would receive a bonus for any new customer we sent their way. I can assure them they won't have any customers recommended from us.

Good experience up until I paid a hefty downpayment in January -- then I went for 6 months without hearing from the company. I called and emailed everyone I could only to have 6 subsequent installation dates cancelled. Now 8 months with no panels installed and I don't know what else to do, other than filing a complaint with the state. Do not make this mistake.

NRG is now Clearway Community Solar from Texas and Oregon. I was scammed by two people who came to my door and promised a reduction in my electric bills from their solar panel farm in Leicester. The contract indicated the average customer would save $600. over a 20 year period. Within 6 months I paid more than $600. over the same time last year without solar credits. Because I can't cancel I'm now over $1000. paying their fees. When I call they "transfer me" and hang up. BEWARE....It's a scam!

If I could say 0 I would. My roof has been leaking for the past year. I am sure it was leaking earlier but we never went up to the attic. I went to clean it out to get ready to downsize and discovered small holes leaked all of everything up there. Perfect little dots evenly spaced. We finally got the roofer back here to discover NRG must have drilled on the wrong side of the roof as there are holes evenly lined up spaced 4 ft across. We do have pictures. No one from the company ever responds. I have sent numerous emails

Stay away from NRG solar. My mother-in-law got NRG solar about 2 years ago and it does not do what it is suppose to do.Her electric bill has not gone down even a little bit so now she pays her regular electric bill but also NRG.They told her her electric bill would be 68.00 a month and she is still paying over a $100.00 a month. This company is a big ripoff and now she is stuck with them.

Cancel within 3 Business days North Tonawanda, NY

If you just signed up with NRG energy and you want to cancel service, first call the prior electrical company and put a block on NRG energy. This way, there is no way for NRG energy can transfer service from your prior electrical service company to them. Then cancel service with NRG energy. You have only 3 business days to cancel service with no fees or penalties.

experience with this company has not been good. They need to keep their customers informed on a monthly basis...such as: delivery charges that we pay thru our electric company to NRG.

This is a horrible company that will scam you. Their solar system dont work u will still have a high electric bill. DO NOT DO bussiness With these criminals. They lie. They all should be in jail with the keys thrown away. This is a criminal enterprise. Solar does not work nor will it benefit u one bit. You dont need solar panels on top of ur house to have electricity. Dont be fouled. I wish i didnt have to pick a star.

I know my wife has a review on here, but here we are months later trying to ditch this rip off . The said 3-6 months , it was Feb 5, 2018 and 9 1/2 months later we’re still trying to leave. The savings were barely there when they finally did show. In the meantime we pay NRG and National Grid. Tonight I was told a supervisor would contact me in 7-10 days . We’ll see how that goes. Heed my advice, stay away.

Took advantage of my 83 year old mother in law. The salesman signed my wife's name to the contract . Bills are in my wife and my name, not mother in laws. They won't cancel and say we owe them thousands. TOTALLY UNETHICAL. I called with the facts of how the contract can't be valid seeing we pay the bills and we are the homeowners. They didn't and still don't care. Prey on the elderly. Lawyers will be getting involved!! Gonna sue for everything I can. They had their chance!!

What a frustrating company to work with. Saying that they do not return your calls is an understatement. I have been waiting for a return call for 6 months. I call every 10 days and the keep "escalating" my case and still no call. As if that isn't bad enough, I pay them more than the credits that I have been provided. Thus is costs me significantly way more money to do business with them then it would to just pay my regular electric bill. Stay away!!

I wish i could zero stars. They screwed up my roof rafters. They didn't add enough supports to my existing rafters and now they are saying it wasn't their fault. How could it not be?!?!? If the rafters looked like they do now they would have never put the system up in the first place. Then they send their own technicians out to make a determination. Talk about conflict of interest!!! Of course they are going to say it wasnt them! BEWARE!!!

Signed on for NRG Community Solar. I was told that it would be seamless and net metering process would offset my main utility bill. Net metering credits have been spotty at best and National Grid is slow in providing credits. NRG now tells me I have to contact National Grid to resolve. Result is I now have two utility bills and promises of future utopia from NRG. Complete nightmare - don't do it.

Beyond pushy. Wanted my SS number. Would not give it. Told him I want to mull it over. Went online and read reviews. 108 rated 0 to 5 stars. 38 rated 6 to 10 stars. Rather one-sided in my eyes. Said my bill would never go over 85.00. Then again he said nothing about me getting a monthly bill from NRG along with my Eversource bill. Found this out when I called NRG directly. Said absolutey nothing about a 20 year contract. Said Sign the contract now ! Lock in or you go to the bottom of the list ! You see, always do your research !

This company really sells you that charlatan deal. Stay Far AWAY. They promise that you will have lower bills!! Lies!!! You are locked in with a 20 year contract and you will pay MORE in your bills. I am SO disgusted. I was paying less before I got the panels!!! Totally betrayed my trust...don't make my same mistake. Conveniently went out of BUSINESS!!!

i never bought the panels, we were thinking about it and trying to find a good company. i did however receive a card from them in the mail saying i missed a package deliver , this was the first attempt , there will be 2 more attempts. and to call them right away, i know its just theyre sales gimmick, but how can you trust a company that lies to you right off the bat?

DO NOT USE this is the most incompetent company, There is no customer service, and apparently all the EXEC's must be on the take. No one ever returns complaint calls, if i could rip the panels off the roof without damaging my roof i would. Use any other solar company. If anyone else conducted business how NRG does, Im sure the US Attorneys office would investigate
