When you call them, they seem to get back to you right away. Putting the system in was kind of slow and I kind of got left out of everything. Once I called Moxie about it, it went pretty quick. But it took about two months before they put it up. Seems like equipment and everything is working pretty good.

It's convenient. There's an app I can look at and see the energy producing and how much I'm using. I had a few questions and they got a hold of me within the same day and checked stuff out within a day or two.

Moxie Solar did everything they promised and did it quite well. I just received a call almost a year after the installation was complete informing me the state of Iowa has funded the solar tax credit this year and we are eligible to take advantage of it. This was an unexpected but clearly a very nice phone call and shows their continued customer care. I have to say Moxie Solar has been outstanding in everything they've done for us. We continue to see the benefits of installing solar in our reduced energy costs each month. We are very satisfied customers and very happy to give this company and all those we dealt with on this 5 stars.

Moxie has an amazing staff working for them. I had the pleasure of working with Ryan P and his team Tim K. and the Cloud Splitter crew. It was such a great experience working with all of them. The team had been very professional, hardworking, positive, super friendly, and went out of their way to ensure the job was done correctly and quickly. Ryan had worked tearlessly for me to get everything they needed to get the job done as well. Unfortunately, the Township of Janesville, WI did not do their job and caused unnecessary delays in the process. However, Ryan did not give up and kept pushing the Township of Janesville, WI to get what was needed to complete the process. A HUGE thank you goes to Ryan for all his hard work and due diligence as well as his team! You all deserve a very large raise!

A+Mazing Customer Service In June of 2020, we initiated the process of disengaging from Big Energy and asked Moxie Solar to help. From the very beginning Moxie Solar gave us Amazing customer service. The initial sales meeting went well, and we asked for a system to be installed. From that moment, we felt that Moxie would take care of our needs since we knew nothing of the process or solar power for that matter. The company was excellent from the sales meeting, to the paperwork (you know there is a bunch of that!!), through the install, and now six months later, with a non-functioning panel. But, this company’s integrity, honesty, and professionalism “shined” though when a mistake was made. During the SREC determination process, the salesman quoted us a rate that was based upon calculations that had just changed the day before. When going through the SREC application process, the Moxie “back-room” found that the quoted rate was higher than the newly calculated rate. This resulted in over three thousand dollars being deducted from the original SREC amount. When they told us about this, we understood, and were disappointed, but it was simple mistake. We all make mistakes. We were still super excited about having solar power and if it cost a few more dollars, that was okay. But it was not “okay” with Moxie. They decided they would make up the difference between what they quoted and what we will actually receive. They apologized and sent us a check for over three thousand dollars. We had already made peace with the new amount and did not blame anyone; what kind of company does this in today’s economy? Surely it has to be a company that cares more about how it treats its customers than its own bottom-line; one that cares deeply about its mission and its values, but also lives out those beliefs in everyday life; and one that keeps its customers in the forefront of what it does every day. We believe MOXIE SOLAR is the TOP SOLAR COMPANY in every State it is located. The Aldridges Pleasant Plains, IL

Moxie Solar did a wonderful job on my home. They were fast and very efficient in everything that they did from the free estimate to the final completion of the work. The technicians were respectful and they were able to complete the work within a very short time. My Solar system has been working very well since Moxie Solar installed it in 2018. I would recommend Moxie Solar to anyone that is planning to install Solar energy in their home. I have already recommended my friends to Moxie Solar and they had their Solar System installed in their home and they have nothing but good things to say about Moxie Solar. This was a great experience from start to finish. Chris H. was great to work with. It took the summer of 2017 to convince my wife that this was the way to go. I was committed to the concept of residential solar-just hadn't any idea of which company to go with. Once we signed up, the 2 part financial payments were well explained and we gladly did it. I wish they could have installed the next day but I know that is just the process and no fault of Moxie. I did note sunny days that I missed out on between signing up and final installation. I should have signed up sooner. The site visit, equipment delivery, install, Alliant meter change out and PTO all went as scheduled. I check my Solar Edge ap every other day to see how my solar production is going. And it is still maintenance free. I've done nothing with the system. I was able to get the federal tax credit quickly in 2018 spring and the state credit one year later in spring 2019. And breakeven is still in the mid 7 years on this 25 year investment. I am giddy telling my wife what our electrical bill is every month-from $10 to $13 during the middle 6 months and $40 to $60 in the winter. And I hope to be making good solar energy after the 25 year warranty is off the panels in 2042. It is a great deal. Tom Wieseler 4/19/1953

I had been thinking about solar panels for a long time. What finally tipped me over the edge was the fact that I was without electricity for 7 consecutive days because the Derecho, but my electricity bill went UP for that month! I decided, no more. My money is more valuable to me than to throw it away that way. I knew it was going to be expensive, what I didn't know was the financing options available to me. My sales rep was Joe Sarb, and he was great. He explained everything in detail and answered all questions that I had. If he did not have an answer, he got one for me. Regarding the installation, it took two days and the crew was extremely courteous. They cleaned up after themselves inside the house and outside. Once the installation was complete, I had to work with the electrician and he also was extremely nice. Kept me up-to-date on the process, what they were doing, why, and time frames. Other than a slight hiccup at the very beginning about when the process would start (delays due to weather. Not Moxie's fault, but they could have let me know) they made the transition to solar seamless! I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking to switch. It is much more affordable than you think and they are a great team to work with!

Moxie is a local company that provides solar solutions and installation. I was happy to choose Moxie over other nearby competitors. After first meeting one-on-one at their office for general questions, I was instantly convinced that I wanted to sign up for a solar solution. Some of the things I really liked about working with Moxie was their responsiveness to my inquires and quick communication for scheduling all of my appointments. Each appointment contained detailed information and laptop presentations and the representatives answered all questions that I had. I signed up for solar that very day! Future appointments were scheduled and organized. After the solar panels were installed, Moxie assisted me with all paperwork that has been submitted. The paperwork was DocuSign documents and Moxie and I have a complete records of these. Finally, the company assisted me with completing the paperwork for Federal and State tax credits. These credits, along with other incentives offered by Moxie, really reinforced my decision to sign up for a Solar solution with Moxie. The employees at Moxie are still available to help me in anyway and answer future questions. Moxie also provided and set up a well designed app on my phone for monitoring solar production. I tend to check this app often! I simply can't find anything to dislike about Moxie! The entire experience was pleasant and thorough. I would definitely consider Moxie for other Solar solutions.

I interviewed several companies and was impressed by two in particular. Moxie rose to the top of my list for one particular reason. They guaranteed that no matter the obstacle or complication, they would not back bill me. They came through on their promise. I do contract work and custom installations can really bloat up a budget when you are working with so many types of building sites. Overcost is more common than most people realize. Moxie took the time to get the job bid and spec'd. The most impressive part was their teams. Lucas and his team of installers worked right up to Christmas day to meet the committment of getting the panels mounted by the end of the year. They worked through lunches and were committed to the job in the cold and wind and made it happen. A commitment you do not often see anymore. They were very professional and worked hard never cutting corners. Communication was good, they masked up well when indoors and were met by several complications caused by our homes structure. Still managed it all with no complaints and great workarounds. Never charged a dime extra or tried to negotiate after the fact. Joe and the electrician team were just as good. Joe was knowledgeable, and hard working. Didn't cut any corners. I had a contractor that had concreted my electrical box in and the team chiseled away for two days to free it. Hard work, done well and a big investment of resources by Moxie. Again, no added cost. The only criticism I would say was that the sales and advance team do not seem to have good communication with the installers ahead of time. The team was left with a few complications that could have been planned for in advance. Still Moxie didn't let it affect my experience and rectified it without me or my money. Also, Moxie, for the reasons above, are incredibly busy and seems to be growing incredibly fast. The teams seem spread a little thin. STILL, again it affected my job very little other than some gaps between portions of the job The install looks great and I chose the Generac PowerCell. This was something new for Moxie as it just came out. Their electricians were totally upfront about it and said it was new to them and they worked directly with Generac to make sure the job met code, was done right, looked great and was safe. Well done. My only real criticism would be that there wasn't really any training after the fact. I'm had to mostly watch youtube videos to learn how the system works and what things mean. I had a spot of trouble initiating the system and Moxie did send out an additional engineer to get it initiated very quickly. So far we are loving the system and I have already referred Moxie out to a couple of friends. I'd definitely hire again and will likely add to our system in the future and hire Moxie again.

I had a great experience with Matt as my consultant. The three big takeaways from my communications with Matt are: First, he reached out to me on a Saturday night based on my requested availability, and sent me the information I requested right after the call. This speaks volumes about his dedication to his work. Second, he was very approachable and listened actively when he shared why Moxie would be a good solar partner. He really cares about providing the right solution and it shows. Third, he was very knowledgeable about the ins and outs of going solar as well as the technology behind it. The knowledge he shared can only come from someone who's walked the walk in this industry. The format for Moxie’s proposals is very clearly laid out with expected energy costs or savings annually over the warranteed life of the system, key system details, and breakdowns of monthly costs and savings. For those who are comparing different systems, they provide the system cost per watt (before tax credits) in their proposal. Their numbers are very competitive. I like the fact that they use conservative NREL estimates for their year one system energy production number. What’s missing and would be nice for them to also provide are the annual rate of production degradation and the levelized cost of energy (LCOE) over the warranteed life of the system. Based on the above, I feel that one cannot go wrong in choosing Moxie as their solar partner. Their customer experience is second to none and their systems offer exceptional economic value.

The contracting, permitting and installation process went really smoothly. However, we've had the system for 3 months now and our electric bills aren't even being cut in half, let alone zeroed out. We were told that it would take roughly 9-12 years for the system to pay for itself, but at is it stands right now it will be more than double that. Our energy usage has not increased.

Sales and initial project management experience were excellent. Installation, ongoing communication and service were poor. Pipes and boxes were installed in the wrong location, according to the blue print, which negatively impacted the appearance of our backyard patio. Installation was anticipated to be three months. Actual time to install and activate solar panels was 9 months.

The electrical crews who helped with installation were quite helpful. There was a little difficulty with wiring the fire alarm out of the garage for the panels, but they were able to figure it out. Since installation, we've had a few electrical issues but they've been extremely helpful to fix those.

Since our installation, the system is working great. However they have fired many employees and the people I worked with are unreachable. I don't know who to contact now with questions, nor do I know who to contact to provide referrals for my interested friends. They started with a 4 or 5 star review from me; this turmoil has dropped them to a 2 star.

Everyone was good except the permit department. They let the City approval sit for almost a month. Our installation was 2 months after the hopeful completion date on the contract. No notification to the customer service department. Called for updates at least 10 times. Need to improve the communication between departments and customer.

Let's start off with installation was fine not exactly where I wanted it but that's all I get. Second all no one installed the monitoring system . Nobody has contacted me since I've had my system installed I've tried contacting . me nobody has returned my call . So if this gets to someone that forward this it would be greatly appreciated. Oh and my decline in electrical bills hasn't really happened.
