I talked with Mint Solar in Sam's Club and they had a representative that was able to answer the few questions I had asked in good detail. When I asked the cost of the system he explained that with solar (and other products designed to save you money), the question to ask is "How much do I save and how long does the product last" Would you rather spend 5k and save $250 a year for 10yrs or spend 15k and save $1500 a year for 30yrs. After our conversation, I set up an appointment for a few days later. The gentleman that came to my home was NOT pushing us to buy anything and explained that if we decided to move forward that we still had time to cancel later. He was honest about how they are a newer company and were fixing some issues, but overall they were there for the customers. Seemed to really listen to my wife and I. We did not end up getting solar through them or anyone else, but it was still worth having a conversation with them to see what they could offer us.

MINT Solar at Sam's Club is very transparent about the warranties it offers. All of the panels the company installs come with at least a 25-year production and 12-year product warranty, while other companies offer only a 20-year product warranty. Mint Inverters have a 25-year warranty. Additionally, Mint Solar offers a 10-year workmanship guarantee on its installations. Quick Installations If you decide that Mint Solar is the right company for you, you can expect your system to be installed within a few days. Occasionally, the installation will take a week or so if you have a larger home or some type of rare issue. Storage Options Mint Solar sets itself apart from competitors by offering a wide variety of energy technologies and battery storage systems. The Bottom Line Mint Solar isn't the most experienced player in the game, but it is starting to build its reputation as a solid solar company by offering customized solar solutions with excellent warranties. Plus, you can count on a quick installation & backed workmanship & warranty through Sam's club when you choose to do business with Mint Solar.

I had the panels installed in April 2018 but the installation was not completed in that the monitoring system was not set up. I have made numerous appointments with them but non one ever showed up to finish the install. Since beginning of May 2018, I have been trying to get hold of someone to complete the installation, which I paid for. They took over $18,000.00 and left me holding the bag. The company is closed during their regular business hours, which leads me to believe that Mint Solar might have gone out of business, and local reps are not responding to my calls. I have already filed a complaint with the Attorney General and reported the issue to the energy company. After making the original complaint, I spoke with my energy company (CPS Energy) regarding my rebate check (I was supposed to get around $3000.00 for installing the panels). I was told that the rebate was paid to the installer of the panels, which in my case is San Antonio Solar Pros. I called the installer and was told that Mint Solar has not paid them anything for installing the panels! That means that Mint pocketed all of the $18K I paid them for installation of the panels. Furthermore, they are not going to return any of the rebate money they received from CPS, they will be putting a lien on my house to recoup the installation costs! I have contacted another local solar company and was told that the setting up the monitoring system is the easiest part of the whole process. If they were to set up the monitoring, I would have to pay them again. What a rip off!

Mint Solar is a scam They hire the best consultants in the industry.Because of Sam's Club we joined. We have Sold a lot of deals for Mint. But Mint Solar after a month stop paying Sales Reps,Stop paying installers and reschedule customers installs .Then Mint claims to change hand to Bright planet and change name to prizm solar. Then said that they fired the tops bosses. So while they are in transition .we don't have work .But yet no one had gotten paid.I don't know who or what customers are writing these reviews. But they are not real. Sam's Club for some reason seem to have no clue in venders affair. Don't work for this company and buyers beware.
